Hi all. Just got the new macbook and been loving the speed. Was rendering out deliverables like it was nothing when suddenly... that stopped? Render times increaased exponentially for just about no reason? I've restarted the computer and installed an update, moved clips into new sequences but issue persists. Occuring in both AME and natively in Premiere Pro. For reference, editing non-transcoded RED 6k footage alongside non-transcoded Canon r5 4k footage. Cutting 60s spots. Exporting 1920x1080 H.264. First few renders were done in around 10 seconds. Now more typically 1:1 ratio, taking anywhere from 45s to 2mins for each export. I understand that I should be super stoked that I'm working with 6k and 4k footage and its only taking a couple minutes for each export. But I have to make like 50 of these so every second counts, trying to get to the bottom of why it was initially so fast and then randomly dwindled. MBP 16:PROCESSOR AND GRAPHICS M3 Max wit
Every time I send an After Effects comp to the Media Encoder render queue it generates a tmp file stored in the same location of the project. This generates a large amount of files and disk space. Is there a way to automatically delete this files once rendered or, if not, change the location of this AME temp folder. I work with a 15GB Google Drive cloud and it goes out of storage from time to time because of this useless temp files.Thank you, Sergi
I'm working on an AME script that should work alongside an AE script. I would like to send a list of comps from AE to AME (which I'm successfully doing using `app.project.renderQueue.queueInAME(false)`) then edit the render settings for each using an AME script before starting the render.Unfortunately, reading through the AME scripting documentation, I can't figure out how to access a list of all the batch items currently in the queue. I see that the frontend object has methods (like `frontend.addFileToBatch(...)`) which return scripting objects or events like `onItemAddedToBatch` where I can access items as they're added to the batch. But is there a way to access the items already in the queue? It feels like a simple thing, but I just can't figure it out. Any help would be appreciated 🙂 Thanks! Adam ps - I'm open to other ideas as well (like if I can send render settings from AE with the `app.project.renderQueue.queueInAME` call or if there's a way to add mu
Hi,I'd like to report a bug in 24.3 (Build 49) of Media Encoder 2024. I'm running it on a 2023 Mac Mini with an M2 Pro chip on Ventura 13.4.In an attempt to batch-edit the export settings across 45 .mxf files in Media Encoder, I continue to run into an issue where my audio channel settings do not apply to all 45 files even though all of the other settings do apply.I changed the 4K UHD .mxf files to be 1080p .mov (QuickTime ProRes 422 Proxy) but need to have the audio output channels set to '5 channels' mono so they match the raws. This is so I can successfully attach them as proxies in Premiere.I've troubleshot a few different ways, including restarting the computer, saving & applying presets, and even reinstalling Media Encoder with my preferences deleted. None of these have helped fix this.Any help, workarounds, or patches would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Jack
I have a .mpg file with video and 8 discrete channels of audio that I'm trying to transcode to a stereo ProRes .mov file. I assumed in transcoding that the 8 discrete audio channels would be mixdown on the ProRes export BUT that is not the case. Please advise. thx
Running ME makes system lag. Mouse lags. AE lags. Workflow lags while ME churning out BG renders... PLEASE FIX ASAP!
I have tried multiple options for encoding a video and during the last week, it has been looping the audio to the beginning at the halfway mark. During the last attempt, I chose "Match Source - Adaptive Medium Bitrate" and it still is giving this error. Is there a glitch that has yet to be reported? This has not happened to me before and I have not found a solution on this forum yet. There is no update shown avaibale in adobe creative cloud and my encoder is version 24.3. Thank you for any help.
Hello, I'm creating a watch folder with AME to transcode pro-res assets to h.264, but it doesn't seem that the watch folder is active if i have AME closed on the machine i built the watch on. Is that common? Is there a way to keep the watch folder active even if AME isn't open on the machine I built the watch? Thanks!
Anyone know why, when exporting from Premiere Pro 24.3.0 to AME 24.3, with "import sequences natively" switched off, AME keeps burning in closed captions? If I switch "import sequences natively" back on, everything works fine, or if I export directly from Premiere, things work fine. I was needing to fix another bug with embedded sequences not rendering properly when natively imported to AME, so I changed the settings, only to find that I could not stop AME from burning in closed captions.Any help would be great. I've been doing workarounds for some time now. Thanks Premiere Pro 24.3.0Windows 10intel 13900K64GB RAMRTX4090 551.61
I dont know if this is a bug, or me not knowing how to use this.I used to send a bulk of videos to Me so I dont have to render one by one. I had a specific mograt that would not render, but ok.I updated to Windows 11, and due to SSD problem had to reinstall all apps. Now, when I bulk render in Me, it will not render the mogarts or whatever graphics, and it will not even render all of the video(it will render whole length, but half of it in black). So, with same custom preset, I have now to render every video one by one, a total of 57 videos. What am I missing??
I can veiw the .MXF file just fine in vlc I have roughly 6000 videos left to encode that error out. This is very frustrating.
I would like to do the aaf-exports also via Media-Encoder! Even it is a seperate menu in premiere pro it would be comfortable to delegate the export to media-encoder and continue to work in premiere pro.The same for xml-export although it isn't so time loosing as an aaf-export.
I have a 4K timeline with 1080p clips scaled to 200%, until I receive the 4K versions to replace. In the meantime however, I need to export the timeline in 1080p, however they are coming out extremely pixelated at 1080p - I understand this is because AME is doing the following:- Scales 1080p clip to 200% to fit 4K timeline (acceptable downsampling)- Takes pixelated 4K timeline and scales back down to 1080p (not acceptable levels of downsampling) I am doing this by changing the dimensions in Basic Video Settings in Media Encoder. My question is, is there a better way to do this, without creating a separate 1080p timeline? Thanks
Last two updates of Adobe Media Enccoder (23.5 and 23.4) make AME freezing on import of AVI files with MJPEG codec. The latest version of AME what works fine is 23.3.
It seems silly but a small pop-up that states "Font activation plug-in disabled" disables adding videos to the render queue or use Media Encoder. The annoying thing is that the pop-up "pop-ups" behind the ME window and often behind every open window on the computer. It won't even show up when viewing all ME windows on mac. After moving all open windows and finding the pop-up I just click "Ok" and everything works fine. I use "connect fonts" as a font management which is the reason for the pop-up.
I had this issue in previous version:When I export from Premiere Pro to Media Encoder to render or if I try to create proxies, AME only renders 1 frame and all i get is a still image for the duration of the original video sequence...I deactivated Dynamic Link which solved my problem... Now after the last update I have the same issue, but not from the beginning:Started to create 15 proxies in a queue... everything fine...Then i startet another 4... fist was fine, 3 others again just 1 frame... all 4 was 1 queue!I tried a proxy that already worked... it didn't work again.... doesn't matter what I want to render, I just get 1 or 2 frames an then just this one image for the duration of the video! I tried to deactivate DynmicLink again ("native import") but for what ever reason it doesn't solve my problem anymore! Can anyone help please? really urgent and I have no idea what to try...If I render with Premiere Pro everything is fine, but AME just gives me a video with the corr
Original file is a 12 min. 4K 30fps iPhone video that plays back without any problems. After editing down to under 6 min. and doing some color correction in AE, every attempt at rendering in Media Encoder, no matter what codec I choose (including ProRes 4444), always results in certain sections of the video playing back stuttering at a reduced frame rate. Those sections are always the same in each instance. I also tried reducing the resolution in ME to HD and get the same stuttered result.
Hello, I have issue with ME2024. It keeps on crashing during rendering (crashes, jams system not responding at all and eventually reboots Finder) and I haven't found any resolution yet. Sometimes rendering goes complete but most of the tries fails. My system is 16" MBP mid 2019 2,4GHz 8-core Intel Sonoma 14.2.1 installed. I usually transcode large files from prores hq to high quality mp4. Fcpx/Motion user and some supported 3rd party plugins installed. Now trying back 2023 versions. If you have any ideas I could check and would possible give any hint what's going on please help me. BR, Jussi
Media Encoder needs to add an h.625 encoding option for 422 10 bit. It's available in Davinci Resolve, shutter encoder, and handbrake - can't understand why it's not available with Adobe. I use HEVC 422 10 as an archival render setting for projects where I need to preserve a compressed copy of the project files that are still usable without being so large. HEVC is perfect for that but Media encoder doesn't support Main 10 422 encoding. The current work flow options I have are shutter encoder - which is extremely slow - or Davinci - which is tedious. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would benefit from this update as I've seen several posts asking similar questions with no resolution other that to refer to the other platforms that do it. Media Encoder is missing an opportunity to fill a gap here.
Hello! I really could use some help. I am trying to export an animated video I made with audio and turn it into a mp4 file so I can watch it. Everything seems to work just fine, but when Adobe Media Encoder is finished encoding my file and I play the video half of the video is cut off from the bottom (so I can only view the top half of what I've animated) and there is no audio. I have checked to make sure that the video will export with the same dimesions of my canvas, but it just isn't working. I have followed everything this guide (https://helpx.adobe.com/animate/how-to/export-video-mp4.html) has said, but I am unable to get it to work. I have tried exporting the sample file on that page, which works, but mine won't. If you're able to help you'll have to explain things in a very simple way because I haven't used Animate or Media Encoder before. Also, this website won't let me attach my file, otherwise I would so someone could help me out. Thank you for the help!
I'd love a publish option in Media Encoder that would copy the output file to an arbitrary location in the filesystem. Essentially, I'd like to output the file on one drive, an then automatically copy it to another folder on another drive when the output is complete. Cheers!
I would love to see an option that allowed you to drop files onto an ingest preset and be prompted for the location that the files will be encoded too.
hi, i need to download security update for adobe media encoder 23.6.5. Please advise where to download. Thank you
