After Effects

I’ve been trying to open After Effects 2024, but it keeps crashing immediately on startup.  So it goes when i opened my project files last week, everything goes fine, but after that, some messages pop up:After Effects error: Crash in progress. Last logged message was: <6636> <ae.blitpipe> <2> HardwareBlitpipe Engaged After that messages coming up, From now on i cant open my project file or After effects at all. i cant even make a new project files becauise i CANNOT open after effects, i doubled check my laptop's drivers, Nvidia RTX 2050 And it up to date, and when the crash appear it want me to resave the project even if i make a new project files, But another problem happen, I CANT RESAVE IT, the save loading screen is becoming Crash too! So here's the thingResave them AFTER CRASH : CrashOpening Project file : CrashMaking new project files : Crash FYI! . Since I work in Germany, I would like to have the place after the comma separated by a comma.  Unfortunately, this does not work as an addition:replace (".",","); Can anyone help me? Thank you very much!

Hey all,I am trying to animate a map illustration. I have a circle centered in my project over a start line (which is the route), I am wanting to move the map so the line to flows through the centre of the circle, keeping the circle pin centered in my project. Hi. I'm re-posting a question that I posted from last night to see if anyone has am insight: Hi. I am working on a project that uses roto brush a lot. Since I've been working on it, the roto brush has been taking progressively longer to propagate. Other than rolling the version of AE back to 18.1 (which seems to be the common suggestion to resolve the issue), is there another method to resolve it? I am using ProRes 422 files. I am running it on a laptop with Windows 11 and a decent amount of RAM (40GB) and I've upped the amount of RAM usage by AE. Is there anything else I should try?

Use Roto Brush 1, 2, or 3 on any length of footage, be it a sequence, MOV, or other wrapper type, and after masking, save the roto by clicking "Freeze." 4.) Have just uninstalled and installed AfterEffects on my mac yesterday.But when I try and access the Cinema 4D Addon via the composition setting menu it says the addon is not present.But double checking in Creative Cloud is installed.I have attached Screen grabs for reference.

Hello friends, I am trying to automate a task in our office. I want to move to every layer above in point. At each point it stops, there is a staggered text field that I want to overlay on the frame at that time. I came up with this script but cannot get it to save the Photoshop file. I am trying to devise a solution for outputting slides (still frames) from video. The frames that I want to output match a list of time codes. I already have a way to generate the list of time codes that need to be exported. Would After Effects be helpful with this? Is it possible to output frames based on timecode with a script or some other method? Thanks

How do I hide the preview thumbnail in the Project panel? It eats up a lot of valuable real estate. I see how to disable the thumbnails in Preferences, but not how to hide the preview area (which I don't need once I've  disabled the thumbnails):

I use latest Ae app. In my app Snapping of Current time indicator & Keyframe does not strong enough. Is there anyway to fix this?

After effect updating AE to 25.01, it keeps giving errors and crashing, I can't do anything, I can't render. I'm about to go crazy, please someone help me, I deleted and reinstalled it many times but the problem didn't change.      

After updating AE to 25.0.1, I can't change any text to another font in the AE project file.I used for my name in the AE file a different font than other names in the same font, but since 25.0.1 I've error messages when I want to change any fonts. I've installed these fonts correctly on my pc and in the older versions I don't have these problems.I've tried to downgrade to version 25.0 but the problems are still there after downgrading AE.How can I fix this problem? Do I need to reinstall AE?

I installed after effects from Creative Cloud and was eager to use it, but I kept getting the same message that said the app couldn't continue because of the CEP suite. I tried reinstalling more than once, and I still get the same issue. I also tried changing the permission on the app, and it didn't change a thing!! Can someone please tell me what to do? And if there's no solution, how can I cancel my yearly subscription without a fee?

This has happened to two projects I'm working on. They are not very large or intricate projects, but once the project file size exceeds 560 kb, after effects is not longer able to open them. Crash occurs immedieatly on startup. Smaller project files can be opened, however even autosaves of these projects cannot open if it is over 560 kb.I've tried reinstalling AE, rolling it back to a previous version, clearing the cache, changing the size of the cache, changing the location of the cache, and even recovering the project with disk drill. Nothing changes the state of the problem.I'm running AE 25.2 but have also tried 25.1 and 25.0. I'm working in a Windows 10 environment with an AMD Ryzen 7 1700X Eight-Core Processor, 32 GB of Ram, and a NVIDIA 4080 Super.I'd like to be able to open these projects again as they're almost ready for export. If they're corrupted, I'd like to recover them if possible. At the bare minimum, I'd like to make sure this doesn't happen again so I can actually use

This is an old problem I have, and after a long time using this software, I do not see a way to solve this.1. You create a Text Box.2. You write your text.3. Press ESC as a fast way to get out of editing mode.Boom! you've lost your text.Is there any way to fix this or an alternative mode?
