It’s hard to understand from the text alone, so please look at this link.https://youtu.be/oZrRN_uIGrs?si=cH6BUtOYjqwr0RCk&t=108 I want to reproduce something like this.In order to reproduce it, I wrote a code for a string that changes randomly and tried to cut out the silhouette of a moving person with an alpha matte, but with this method, the text behind just shows through transparently, and the text is missing in the shape of the person. However, in this music video, the text stretches and animates to fit the shape of the person without any characters missing. If anyone knows a plugin like this, or understands how to do this effect, I would be very happy if you could tell me. Please help.

Hello, I see someone doing this on a video and I forgot to save it and can't find it because it just happened to be while they were doing something else and not the topic of the video. How do I render individual clips so that they no longer need to be RAM previewed, to make editing faster when a specific layer is isn't going to be edited anymore? I seen this guy doing it and it showed some little construction cone or something next to the layer so that he didn't have to RAM preview it so he could edit faster without having to RAM render the finished layers over and over again taking so much more time. Is it the Pre Render?  And if you use that, does it use that rendered file for the final export or does it use the original, or do we have to replace with original before export? He did a quick show how to do it and I was half asleep and somehow though I would just go back to the video.....that I didn't bookmark =/.   I can't find it in any of the drop d

Hi,Does anyone know why the following mask on the right side (screenshot of After Effects) renders as a misaligned gif?GIF: https://gifyu.com/image/S4RDc I checked the frame rate in AE and ME and changed them to match. 

In my pre-composition, the quality of the picture is very lost. I added a track from mocha pro for screen, but I don't think that's the problem. when I collected these files and transferred them to another project, everything is fine there. When I Continously Rasterize, the picture becomes of normal quality, but becomes irregularly shaped. I add image and video.https://youtu.be/rcJHUB2O3A0

I am creating a video for work. I was supplied a template that I edited in After Effects and it all looks correct there, but when I go to add the file into Premiere Pro only a fraction of the video shows. I have tried searching online for answers, but nothing is helping. Both frames are the same size, the scale feature doesn't fix it, and I've started over from scratch twice. Attached is a screenshot of how the .mogrt file is displaying in premiere pro and even when I export it. I'm not sure what I can do to fix this. The template directions are also no help. I'm not sure where it came from as I was given the file by my boss.

 when i use 3d stroke and create a mask the stroke is not appearing on the mask but eslewhere. when im on full resolution it appears on the mask but when im on half or quarter low than the full resolution this happens

So I get this warning below from time to timeHowever, I have allocated all avaible RAM to AE, and to my knowledge 128GB is a lotAdditionally, I have my disk cache saving on an external SSD card with 2TBAnd when I clear disk cache I can see that I only have used 68 of the available 500. Why does this happen?

Hi,Is there a possible way please of using Time Remapping to slow down or freeze only part of a singlevideo layer in AE? The part i want to slow down are leaves falling from a tree branch but still wantthe branch to contine at same speed. Tried duplicating the layer, but the tree and leaves now lookkind of embossed or bevelled. Thankyou.

I'm wracking my brain trying to fix this basic if/then expression. I have a text layer(name "Position (l/r") whose value I want to control the opacity of other layers. I'm using this expression on the layers whose opacity I want to control and applying it to the Opacity property:if(thisComp.layer("Position (l/r)").text.sourceText=="r")100 else 0;AE gives me the following error:  SyntaxError:Unexpected token elseI've used the exact same if/then expression format in other projects (only changing the layer name) and it works fine. I've copied this expression into another project and it works fine. If I copy the expression from a working project into the current project, it doesn't work.I'm using AE 16.1.1.1 on Windows 10.

Greetings,I'm facing a problem in one of projects. I want to see the possition of the camera in a 2 view vieport, but the top view is black. I have tried reseting the camera and turning off hardware acceleration.  1.Version 23.6.02. Windows 11, Intel  i5-12500H, RTX 4060 Laptop GPU.3. Can't reproduce in a new project.4. I should see my camera and the 3d scene as a Top view.  

When the user adjusts the timeline, the mouse movement becomes very slow, causing a 0.5 second stop, and when adjusting the color, the software also stops working, taking 1-2 seconds to continue working. How can I solve this problem?or how do I adjust After Effects acceleration? After Effects 2023 (23.6)Hardware:Win 10 / ram 64 GB / RTX A6000*2

Hello, i have a logo originally made in Coreldraw and i want to import it to After Effects so i can animate it. Unfortunatelly i cant have access to Adobe Illustrator. is there any way i can import my file under these circumstances? maybe as a SVG, maybe as an EPS, idk... Thank you!

I'm working with a client that has updated it's brand guidelines and for social content and ads with shorter text blocks they are offsetting the text - on each row in a text block individually - on the x axle.Row 1 is - 50 px from the centre, row 2 is + 55 px, row 3 is - 85 px and so on.I have until now just split the text into one layer per row and moved them to a nice layout.It works but is a pain in the a** when you have to do changes or translation.So is there a way - with expressions and/or text animatior/range selector - to keep the multi line text block "intact/live" without splitting it into layers but control the position of each row?Need to be able to do line breaks and scale the text box from shot to shot.Would be golden if I could attatch the position of each row to a slider control. 

I understand that if I use them in a project, they will affect the speed. What I'm interested in is if I install 10-20 plugins, will they affect the speed of work in Premiere, even if I don't use them?

Hello! I downloaded a template to use in after effects. I was able to convert it to be able to open in the new version, but it says there is a missing a references to an effect called "Element." The effect will not work without it. Does anyone know if there is a place I can find this effect? I've attached a screenshot.

After Effects 23.6 cannot see network drivesworking on PC windows 10.0.22621 build 22621 

When a layer has something like Trapcode Particular on it and has 2354 categories, so when you alt click something to open the script editing and also to go to the pick whip thing.  Supposed to be able to hit U to isolate the ONLY things active, but AE 23.6 does not do this, it just opens ALL of them at once and is too much to show, so that the other layers are just gone and no way to pick whip things. How do I fix this, or what did they change that we're supposed to do now to issolate things so that I can actually pick whip stuff? U works perfectly well on everything else.  Why it's not working on tagged expressions is extremely annoying. If this isn't fixed or for some reason intentionally broken....I know it worked, because older videos show it working.  So something was changed and not caught.   Then we need the ability to pick whip from the edit control tab as well to avoid this issue. I can't even "close" the other edit options to try
