After Effects

An After Effects project I had been opening fine the last few months now will not open. It loads to 70% and then I get a Not Responding error. I have tried restarting my PC, installing earlier versions of After Effects, and Safe Mode. Any help? OS: Windows 11

However, if you set interpret footage to ‘Preserve RGB’ and apply an OCIO color space transform effect (input : -sRGB Texture, output : ACEScg) it works as expected. They are essentially the exact same operation. Something fishy is going on in the interpret footage math. File attached.

When trying to export an MP4 out of AE: ( Even if the export is a flattened ProRes MOV as the source for exporting. - MOV still exports fine, and Media Encoder exports correctly.) I tried to export a composition that was 4100px X 180px. (Square pixels 30 fps) When exporting an MOV, everything works correctly.  When trying to export as an MP4 format, the resulting MP4's dimension is altered to 4096px X 180px.  Anything 4096px and below seem to export as an MP4 correctly. I then exported the same composition as an MOV - ProRes 422 and then imported the rendered MOV (Which was the correct dimension, 4100px X 180px) into the project and placed into a new Composition Settings from source: 4100px X 180px (Square pixels 30 fps).  When I exported that composition as an MP4 format (Not resizing or cropping, same as source dimensions/square pixels), the resulting MP4 was again 3096px X 180px Not the intended 4100px X 180px. Dragging any of the Compositions ment

In my color picker in after effects I type in C8102E as the hex code but it gives me pink instead of red.... How do I fix this? I changed precomp/project to 8bit instead of 16 bit. I changed color profile to Rec709 gamma. but that didnt fix the issue. I've fixed this once before but i cant remember what the fix was. does anyone know? I think the issue started happening after I upgraded to Mac Os Sequoia. It asked me if I wanted to either grant screen permission to AE for 1 month, or the other option just took me to system settings but showed that AE already had some permissions but I suspect that OS is hindering the screen recording of AE because when I use my eye droplet tool to sample a dark red it gives me a pink.

Inside a Composition, I have a layer with custom scaling keyframes, that flickers from -126 to +126.When rendering the composition, looks how it does inside of the composition.However.After changing the keyframes/ removing some and then rendering out the composition ( outside ).The changes don't seem to be applied and arent rendering out how they do inside of the composition.The effect on the composition that could be doing this is CC Force Motion Blur. Fix for now:Change the rendering quality, and it will update. Some screenshots below. The images show the time it's happening both inside and outside of the composition.The third is with the rendering quality reduced.  

My system to set to Dark Mode. But any save/open panel, import window, etc is blinding white.The expectation is those windows should be following the system appearance.As someone with vision issues, anything to make the screen easier on the eyes is crucial.The dark mode in macOS has been a feature for 6 years and could be implemented in Adobe's products. After Effects 24.5macOS 13.7.6 This issue has been independent of any software or OS version, it's simply just not been implemented yet.

Did you, Adobe, remove the ability for me to press (Numpad *) when *NO* layer was selected, to add a marker to the timeline's composition? As in, above all the layers... so we can see markers when scrolling down through layers? If you did...  I would like to request you change it back. If not.. please fix this bug. 

7296 x 64 comp AE will render but then I get this pop up when it's done and  it freezes so I have to force quit (on a mac)..  I saw it was connected with repetile or motion tile, so I pre rendered all of the layers that used that.  Not only that I have been trying to systematically turn off layers and render to see where the issue is, and it's simple logo and a solid.  I don't know if anything else in the comp is triggering it, because I can't get past those two.

Its not a new issue. Sometimes Iam unable to save or to save as.Sonds like a joke: The only possability is QUIT-> dont Save - wtf? 

I've been experiencing frequent crashes in after effects while doing non-intensive rendering or working in the timeline. I have tested my AE files on other computers (that are much less powerful) and have not had crashes. 90 percent of the time I am unable to render a file without it crashing. Sometimes it goes through and works, but rarely (maybe 1/5th of the time)  AE most frequently crashes while rendering. My graphics card is fully up date as is my AE.  I am on windows 11 pro version 21H2. My AE is on version 24.6.2.    Below I have provided screenshots of a sample error log, but it typically differes from crash to crash. Most frequnetly I just get the "An error has occurred" error message without a log or error code.  Additionally, I have run into problems in Premiere as well with the preview not syncing with the values on my timeline. IE an object is scaled to 80 percent, but displays at 60 in my preview window until I hit "play". Then

I'm not sure if this is a known issue or not, but in my attempts to google an answer I did not find anything. I wanted to just mention it here incase someone else is having this issue.  I was sending clips from Premiere to After Effects to do some screen replacement work and using Mocha to do the tracking. It all looked great in Mocha, no problems. When I would apply to the layer (or comp) for the corner pin it would be offset.  Double checked all my sizing, everythings good. I now use Pre-comps for all the clips I want to use just to make sure the resolution is always correct and it makes scaling much simpler. Anyways it didn't seem to matter what I did the image was always offset. Turns out Applying the corner pin from the mocha options in the effects properties was applying the keyframes with large time gaps between them. So a keyframe that should have been mapped to frame 2 was instead on frame 12.. etc. I ended up copying and pasting the kerframe

Hi. There is a recurring issue when opening projects in After Effects. The project loads almost to 99%, and then it freezes. After forcibly closing the program, the project opens without any errors. This happens every time. La previsualización (que siemrpe activo con la barra espaciadora) está totalmete congelada, no avanza, sólo funciona durante algunos fotogramas cuando reinicio el programa o el pc, pero vuelve a estancarse.Ya he reinstaldo la app dos veces, hasta instalé la versión anterior a ver si funcionaba (24.6.1), y sigue! no puedo avanzar en el proyecto que estoy trabajando. En esta laptop ya he terminado varios proyectos con éxito pero esta vez no tengo idea qué pueda pasar. Ya vacié el chaché varias veces, reinicié, reinstalé el programa, pero nada. Estoy bastante frustrado y no sé cómo souliconarlo. Alguna idea? a alguien le ha pasado? saludos. 

When I launch After Effects 24.6.2. (Build 2), Untitled Project page opens automatically with the main page and the "New project" selection doesn't work. When I close the Untitled Project tab it quits After Effects completely. When I launch again same thing happens. I did try uninstalling and installing again but that didn't solve the issue.I did try the safe start but that didn't solve the issue. This problem started suddenly, I didn't change or did anything to cause this problem. My hardware specs are: Mac Studio / M1 Max / Sequoia 15.0

In one of my Libraries, the saved colors don't show in AE Libraries panel, only other assets like graphics. In all other apps, the colors show. I've tried clearing the filters, changing the grouping etc. but no joy. The colors were originally added in Illustrator. It's sporadic. Quero salvar um projeto no after effects, mas ele fala que não existe o arquivo, por exemplo, tenho um projeto chamado, legal, quando tento salvá-lo em .aep, fala que o arquivo do projeto não existe, mesmo sendo um projeto recem criado ele não salva nem em salvar como. Como faço para corrigir isso? Estou com a versão 24.6.1

I am sure you are well aware of the following problem, but I could not find a solution online and it does not seem to be fixed? When working with Arri Alexa Mini LF footage (ProRes/.mxf) there is a color shift when exporting in ProRes 4444 (trillions). I used the official sample footage from Arri: https://webgate.io/directlink/b043cddb9c4658e0 Clip: F003C003_190925_MN99.mxf I tried everything, different software versions, hardware accelerated decoding on/off, different computers, depth, premultiplied/straight... There seems to be a slightly different problem with Premiere as well. I think it might be a problem with how the file is interpreted by AE because it seems to help to re-encode in ProRes 4444 with DaVinci first. Also AE shows the file as millions of colors (if I understood correctly that means 8bit) what would be wrong in that case. The Arri Alexa series might be the most important cameras right now and it would be really important to hav

Frame in after effects Frame in Premiere Pro Frame in VLC media player This glitch/distortion also comes through on any render to any H264 codec. These are MXF files from a Canon camera, imported from my internal storage, not an external hard drive. Lumetri color and a warp stabilizer is on the AE footage, and when i turn off the stabilizer effect, it goes away on that frame, but shows up on another frame. On a different piece of footage, the warp stabilizer appears to have no effect on which frame the glitch appears on: warp stabilizer on warp stabilizer off frame in VLC media player

After Effects is causing a memory leak. The problem started yesterday.I encountered a similar issue a few months back where Beta programs were the cause, I no longer have any Adobe Beta programs installed due to that issue.Starting in safe mode with 3rd party plug-ins and resetting preferences has made no difference.The issue starts once I open any project and continues until AE is terminated or crashes due to a lack of available RAM.I've updated the GPU driver and that has not fixed the issue.Windows 11 is also up-to-date.I'm working on a Windows 11 PC with the following build:Intel Core i9-12900K 3.2 GHz 16-Core ProcessorMSI MAG Z690 TOMAHAWK WIFI DDR4 ATX LGA1700 MotherboardGeForce RTX 3080 10GB LHR 10 GB Video Card64GB (4 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory I use Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign every day; none of these programs are having any issues.

Hi all,This is a problem that I have from day one. I have 3 displays conected directly in to 3 separate USB Type C connectors on a back side of my Mac Studio. Display properties shows always right order of screens, starting from left to right (1 left, 2 center (main display), 3 right).  But problem is that every time I restart my Mac output screen of Premiere or After Effects is placed on  left or right screen. If I open Video preview settings in AE or PP check box is on the same place that I have checked before but softvare changes monitor markings. Monitor that iss Adobe Monitor 2 now is showing preview on monitor 3. So every time I must start Preferences/Video preview and change monitor selection to get output on the same screen as before the restart. I have tried to deactivate "separate spaces" on other screens but that didnt help. Right now my settings looks like this: Can someone please help me out!?Thank's in advance

I have numerous green screen footage from .mxf files that are not being rendered. They appear in After Effects but not in the media encoder.  Any ideas?
