Audition

V.23.1    I want it to playback about 1/8 normal speed.  I don't care if it pitch-corrects -  I just want to study a complex rhythm.   Thanks in advance.

Hi all Any help here would be truly appreciated. Lately I have been burning CDRs at -16 lufs and I was recommended  to up the level to -9 or -10 lufs as I am using wav files. The thing is I have also heard if you up the level too high you can lose the dynamics of the music. I would love to hear your views on what would be a reasonable lufs level without losing the dynamics of the music. Thanks!

  I have done everything I can.  Even increased value of paging!  This technically should not be happening.  Notice from screenshot above that the DAW sipps all resources.  Pre-rendering does not work.  Please help!  This happens during recording and playback.  My computer is brand new and I copied the exact settings from the older one.   Thanks so much in advance for your help! 

Using the Stretch and Pitch filter on an audio clip, I attempted to simply speed up the clip from 2 minutes to 1.5 minutes in length.The results, using either the Audition or Izotope algorithm, are a disaster - garbled, warbly audio; completely useless.I'm using the "Speed up" settings, allowing the application to "choose appropriate defaults.In CS6, Audition worked very well for this task, if slowly, but here the results are impossible to use.Can anyone suggest what I might be doing wrong?

Hi everyone,I'd like to set a First-Order-Ambisonic Multitrack session in Audition. I know that Audition is not specifically suited for multichannel-multitrack sessions since its presets are limited to few standards like 5.1. Anyway I'd love to use Audition for my FOA project (since I love Audition's tools).What I'm planning to do - please, let me know if I'm wrong - is to start with a 5.1 session (since 5.1 implies 6 channels) and add a 5.1 track that I call track-1. In track-1 I'd add an FOA AmbiX clip (i.e. a B-format 4-chan clip) and as an effect I'd add (just for example) the IEM MultiBandComp. This compressor expects a 4-chan file (not a 5.1 file...) and what I HOPE is that it will receive ONLY the first 4 channels and output 4 channels as well. I also HOPE that Audition doesn't “treat” the 4th channel (LFE) in any way nor with any bandpass or whatsoever filter (I need that Audition stays “neutral” about all the track/clip channels leaving them as they are). Is there a way to simulate 4 people sitting around a campfire so that when person “A” speaks it sounds like he is in the upper left, person “B” upper right, person “C”, lower left, and person “D” lower right?I’ve looked at panning and Doppler Shift effects. 

Bonjour ! Pour les besoins d'un projet, je dois travailler à partir d'un fichier audio composé de deux voix (appelons-les A et B) ou l'une doit être "trafiqué" (la A) pour ne pas être reconnaissable. J'ai donc séparé le fichier en deux, un avec la voix A, l'autre avec la voix B.Cependant, on entend tout de même en fond sonore la voix de l'autre dans chaque fichier et malgré mes réglages, je ne parviens pas à les supprimer : comment faire ? Merci de vos réponses🙂  Anne-Hélène

I record Zoom interviews via the Rodecaster Pro and am happy with the WAV audio I edit in AA. however when I then edit together with the music I find I can hear sounds like me breathing in, a kind of woosh sound when ever I finish speaking that I could not hear in the intitial audio.  Why does this happen?  I am having to use the initial WAV file in Ferrite on my iPad to retain the quality of sound as it will be lost on AA.  Why?

Hello, I've had to reinstall OSX and with it Audition CS6 / Lightroom 6 - I have standalone versions of each, not in use on any other Mac. Neither will work with online activation any more, but the offline activation is giving a message that my serial number is invalid instead of a response code. The serial number is valid, but how do I persuade Adobe that it is? Does anyone know how I can get the request/response codes to work again? I'm using https://aoes-stage.licensingstack.com/aoes/aoes/v1/IMSLogin as instructed. Adobe told me they can't support the perpetual products by phone so to post on here and request developer / community help to resolve the problem, though it seems to me the change is at the account/server side in that Adobe has flagged these older licences as no longer valid somehow. Any help much appreciated! I just tried to load my old Loopology stuff and installed it just fine. But I can't seem to be able to open any of the Session Files, which are .cel files.  Is there something specific I need to do? Or does this not work with the newere versions of Audition? Thanks!

Hey,So i'm comparing the sound levels of a feature from my project file to the rendered file, and its pretty clear audition somehow is altering the audio levels? The center channel is about 2db louder after rendering, left right is about 3 db lower, so all of a sudden the film is really center heavy. Does anyone have experience with this and if there are any information about what exactly is happening here?I have searched the web but cannot find anything regarding this. I can only find information on what level adjustments are applied during the stereo mixdown, but nothing on this topic. Either I would need to gain-compensate befor rendering, or how to turn this "feature" off.Why the heck is random problems like this keep happening with audition.... 

hi I started with Audition literally few days ago, unfortunately in a middle of an urgent audio project, and so have been on a steep learning curve 12 hrs a day, learning from various videos on YouTube whatever I could find, as it appears that there is no comprehensive sequential video manual produced by Adobe. (is there?)Those videos have been very helpful - except that I was finding important information after I had already recorded the audios, so had (and still do) to re-record everything several times.Anyway, I guess that's part of the growing pains, so I have already resigned to the delay in the release of my product.However what happened just now is NOT what I am happy to deal with, and so I'd like to ask you whether this is a known bug, or potentially I did something wrong.I was doing some final edits - re-recorded parts of the audio, some in place of the original, some bits were at the end of the track.I don;t remember if I saved them, but I had already got into a habit of

Hi All, I am very new to recording so please excuse my lack of knowledge. I recently did a recording and ran into this issue. I believe it has been caused by a faulty cable between my USB interface and my laptop, but i could be wrong. I seem to have an odd digital clicking sound, it occurs randomly throughout my entire recording. You can see and hear it on the attached files. Any ideas as to how i can get rid of this from the recordings? Thanks in advance.Adam

As the title says, on Adobe Audtion and while in the "wavform" editor, all of the opitions are greyed out. I am simply trying to fade out a track, however, I can only access this command under the "favorites" drop down. Thanks for the help!

Im new to Audition and have no experience of working in sound design etc. But I'm wondering if theres a way to edit audio tracks in a none-destructive way? As it seems I can only save as .mp3 formats, meaning any effects I apply will be lost unless I specifically 'apply' them, therefore losing the ability to go back and edit them

Hey everyone! This is my first time posting. I desperatly need y'alls help! I recorded an hour long podcast episode with a Blue Yeti mic straight into the latest updated version of Adobe Audition (v.23.1) using ASIO. The recording is great for the first hour and 50 minutes. Then, suddenly, there is a huge distortion in the audio until the end of the episode. I thought it might be the mic, but I recorded other audio afterwards to experiment with the mic and that recording was just fine. I've attached an audio file to let y'all hear it. Please, please, PLEASE tell me I can fix this distortion some how. 

Is there a way to delete silences in batch?  I have hundreds of files for which I need to delete leading and trailing silences.  The diagnostic delete silence works great on individual files, but I cannot find a way to do something similar on a large number of files (without using a different product like audacity)

If I set up a multitrack recording and use the audiobook template, does that template automatically preset the settings needed for an audiobook?  Or do I still need to go in and make changes to all the settings to get the proper sound for an audiobook?

I have this problem to export an OMF in Audition. First I export a session and perfect it exports and then the second job I export I get an error saying "Cannot open a required file". But I don't know, how to identify or search for that necessary file? I hope you can help me, thank you very much

Is it possible to use Adobe Audition for sound design aswell as creating music? I know that, at least when it comes to music, there are far better options out there. But I'd rather just stick with Audition if possible. I'm not looking to create anything out-of-this world (I've never made a song in my life) and just looking to make something really basic to accompany some motion graphics projects.

Hi,Im working on Adobe audition and editing audio.When I try to re-open the file after saving it in the AIFF format the file displayed as empty without the audio file I addited.    Anyone know this problem and why it happens?
