Audition

Welcome,I have a problem with Audition on my new computer.After importing the audio file, PLAY does not start - both after pressing the space bar and the PLAY button.The same thing happens with recording - when you press RECORD (red button) absolutely nothing happens ...I installed an older version and it's exactly the same ....Help me please... 

If I load a 5.1-channel track into Audition and export to a 5.1-channel .WAV file, the output has sound only in the from L and R tracks (the other 4 tracks are present but silent).  I can use the panner to direct the source 5.1 channels to other output tracks and that works, but how do I simply turn the panner off?  I just want all the input channels to map as-is to output channels. I'm not trying to modify the surround mix, just do some basic time-line editing of existing 5.1-channel content.  I can do this in Premiere and the straight-through mapping of channels is the default behaviour but in Audition it doesn't even seem to be an option.  Am I missing something obvious in the Audition panner settings or am I stuck with using Premiere?

Hi all,Has anyone had any issues with the Match Loudness setting not working? Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I've had this issue for several weeks now,any help would be greatly welcomed. Thank you

So my w Edition was running fine and then I got off of it and got back on. Only if now when I pull up a session and try to record instead of showing the large waveform it looks as if it's showing samples or frequencies. I thought this might be a zoom in zoom out type issue so I checked to make sure I wasn't too zoomed in but I'm not and it was still going to go away. Has anyone here had this issue or maybe knows how to switch back to the original wav?  

Hello, I recently recorded two videos that I neglected manually saving. I assume that my computer auto-updated, since it returned to the lockscreen after a period of time. When I returned to Audition, it recovered the two files, but the waveforms are missing from both and it won't play. When I say that it won't play, I mean that audio won't play in my headphones. I tested another audio file and that plays just fine. This one, however, will not playback anything despite the playhead moving. Is there any way I could fix this issue?

How to I get to my saved projects in Audition? I open the app on my Macbook but it take me to a new project each time. How do I access my saved projects?

Hi guys, I was recording a multitrack session with only 2 tracks (musical playback e voice). Everthins wal ok until a export a mixdown file and play it back.It was accelerated, about 20% percent faster, just like "cartoon voice". But, when I playback the session in the timeline, it was ok. So I decided to restar my Macbook and after the restart and opening the session again, the session palyback became faster aswell.I have never had a problem like this. I think I lost the recording material, cause I don't know if there is a way to solve this mess!I appreciate any help. Tks

Question Adobe Audition CC ACX Audiobook Submission Requirements:I’m looking to begin recording an Audiobook using Adobe Audition CC. Before I purchase the rights to use the software I need to find how to set (60dB RMS, -3dB & between -23dB and -18dB RMS.)I’ve searched the Web and have seen these questions but no answers for Adobe Audition CC.Can you help? Here is what I have so far.1.    Each file must have a noise floor no higher than -60dB RMS.I found this -60db noise level option under the levels panelunderneath and to the left of the Spectral Display.Is this correct?2.    Each file must have peak values no higher than -3dB.I found this under Effects Menu-> Amplitude and Compression->Normalize Compression-> Normalize screen with normalize option to: -3.00 %db.Is this correct?3.    Each file must measure between -23dB and -18dB RMS.This one I cannot find the answer to in Adobe Audition CC.How and where do I set this RMS level

Hi all smart people.I have an issue. Not a big one, but still an issue. It seems that any mouse movement, marking or progress bars I see on my screen generates a noise in my studio monitors. Any idea how to solve this?The noise is similar to a noise I have previously experienced when graphics appeard on my old TV. (I have a small Behringer mixer/sound card connected to my pc via USB. It works both as mic preamp and monitor control.)  

Hello, is Audition have a feature to select all track keyframes, but not only all envelope keyframes. What is best solution to move clips in track ot tracks with all their automations?

I've always been able to edit the Waveform file in Audition - simply deleting selections within the file. For some reason, it's now not allowing me to do this - can anybody explain what could be the cause of this? Screenshot attached

I have Cool Edit Pro installed on my computer for my recordings and karaoke stuff. I have been getting a message stating that there is no output device installed on my system...everything saves to my external hard drive and I just recorded two songs prior to getting the error.Can someone help me figure out what is going on? Tonya

Hi everyone, It says that my “ Auditions primary temp volume is low on space. Freeing up space or specifying a different volume is recommended. Would you like to review Auditions disk cache preferences?” So I click "yes", But I when hit "browse" and I create a file in my external 5TB and designate that folder as the location to save it, I still get that message when I start up Audition and it closes down. Anyone else run into this issue and know a work around? Thanks for your help everyone.

I just upgraded to a brand new laptop through work. The laptop is brand new and has 16GB of RAM. It runs Windows 10 and I use Adobe Audition 3.0.  Almost everything on this laptop works better than what I previously had.  Unfortunately, Audition doesn't run well at all.  I get many "not responding" pauses.  I've also had the program get stuck in a loop while trying to do a simple time squeeze.  I eventually had to force reboot my laptop because I couldn't do anything to stop the endless looping.  After reading some previous posts, I've seen people say Audition 3.0 doesn't really click well with Windows 10.  Those posts were from last year.  Has anything changed? Are there any tricks to make it run better? Right now it's like trying to walk through a muddy field. Slow, frustrating, and I'd rather be doing anything else.

I have Windows 10, Audition CS6, I some times need to record Audio from the Internet. I had an older version of Audition CS4 or CS5, I believe it has a Capture Button used to Record from the Internet, I am not seeing this feature in the CS6. I was able to record from the internet no problem with my older version of Audition, my old disks got damaged from a move and wife discarded.   I am using another program to record what I need from the Internet, but purchased Audition so I can work in one program. Does anyone know if CS6 Audition is capable of recording from the internet?? If Not, Does anyone know the last version of Audition that does have this feature?? CS4 or CS5.5?? Good day, all. I'm the chief engineer for a radio station group, and our production room computer is having an odd issue. I believe the audio playback and .vis file get corrupted relative to one another, the result is that the playback cursor will be over a blank section of the visible waveform, yet audio is playing. The problem will sometimes manifest as a visible waveform with audio displaced in time, or no audio.  It's a Win7 Pro machine, 32 gB ram, 1TB drive, ver {audition CC build 11.1.1.3} I managed to reproduce the error by recording a short test bit (15 sec or so) and doing multiple operations on it- reverse, reverberate, compression, echo. At this point, I was seeing the symptoms described above. I can attach the .wav and .vis file if anyone wants to see them.Thanks.Jim FrankChief EngineerCCR IV LLC 

Why is the paintbrush for Adobe Audition grayed out? I understand that some tools are only available in Multitrack Mode, but the paintbrush is used for altering the SPECTRAL AUDIO! It SHOULD be available to use in Waveform mode.    And even when I go into Multitrack mode, it is STILL grayed out!   Why is this and how do I fix it?

Hi All This is kinda strange.  We are recording with a Rode NT1-A mic and a PreSonus AudioBox iTwo and an iMac. The first recording session we recorded in Garageband and the playback levels were fine.  Loud and crisp.  The second recording session we recorded with Audition (build 14.4.0.38) and it was very quiet at playback.  Cranking stereo to max and it is still soft. Keeping all things the same we tested back with Garageband and it was fine. The recording levels while recording were set approprietly on both. I have confirmed system requirements and all the device settings and it appears OK.  Updated drivers. Any thoughts? 

I have a customer who is asking for my help in creating Auto Attendant Voice Prompts. He has given me the detaied settings that are required to make the voice prompts usable on their phone system. What I need to know is whether or not this is even doable in Audition. I don't think it matters, but I would be doing the work on a 2019 Macbook Pro. Here is the information I was given: It is possible to record the Auto Attendant voice prompts using a computer, save them and then load these recorded prompts to the XBLUE IP system for use in the menus. Other than using Pitch Shifter, does anyone know of a good way to make an adult voice sound like a kids cartoon voice? Thanks

Match loudness problem. ITU-R BS.1770-3 Loudness. After I run the match loudness it no longer shows the ITU LUFS.  It begins with Total RMS   Peak   True Peak  etc etc but no LUFS  I think this updates daily and I sure hope that did not go away,

I can load tracks into audition, but when I try to play the tracks the cursor will not move and no audio will play. Anyone know what the problem could be? I try to change the Audio Hardware in preferences but it didnt work, and I use Windows, If anyone could help meee

Huge apologies if this is posted elsewhere, but I can't seem to find: if my track has a uniform effect (e.g. echo), is there a way to remove from a single track? The right click tactic doesn't work — there's nothing that pops up with that option, not even gray (photo attached). Is this possible or do I need to create an entirely new track?

Hi, all. I just moved from Audacity to Audtion and am trying to figure out how to automatically arrange tracks end to end. This is quite simple in Audacity, but I can't figure out how to do it in Audtion. Thanks for the help.
