I'm trying to record a DJ set with Audition CC2019/MacOSX Mojave, but I can't get an input signal.I have double-checked that Audition has access to the microphone port in Mac security settings.I'm using a USB audio interface (Behringer UFO202) which does get a signal (I can listen back to with headphones).I have selected the audio interface (MMAUDIO Device) as input and output in Auditions settings, as well as on the track itself as the signal source; the i and the R button are clicked. What could be the issue? Thank you!
Hello, I'm after a specific effect to overlay onto some vocals I have recorded or some suggestions as to settings I might use. I'm looking for a similar effect as demonstrated in the included clip (from 3.19): https://www.srf.ch/sendungen/hoerspiel/infarkt-von-joachim-waltherAny help is much appreciated!
Hi im new to audition forums. My name is Dax and I just started a podcast so thought I use auditon. My question is when I record with my Blue Microphones Snowball iCE (https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B014PYGTUQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) My audio jumps and completly changes sound at some points. Let me get some examples In my podcast listen to the audio at timestamp 2:00Compared to audio at 29:10 I find there is a wierd echo sound. on my mic (im the guy with the headband and green shirt) I also had issues with delay. I shot the audio in audition, and video on my camera. Synced them at the start but then as I watched later in the video the audio became 1 second out of sync. Idk if anyone knows whats happening. It could just be cause I have trash 60 dollar usb mics but let me know if you do thank you. DAX BRULE
I can record sound via Tri-Capture in QuickTime so the setup is fine. In Audition there's no input signal at all. The microphone access is granted to Audition in the Mojave System Preference. Anyone has any idea as for why this is failing...?
Adobe Audition CC 2018Windows 7Audio file in question: 22050Hz/8 bit/mono I am using the Noise Reduction feature to capture a noise print of a segment of an audio clip which contains a hiss. I successfully complete this process, save my file, close it, and when I reopen it none of the noise reduction edits took effect.
I started out with Audition 2 over 10 years ago -- produced a couple of albums with it -- and somehow got a free upgrade to Audition 3.I had to rebuild a workstation from Windows 7 to Windows 10 recently and needed to re-install the old software - Big whoops there! Validation servers no longer work -- and I can no longer launch any of these earlier versions of Audition -Another kicker is that these older versions of Audition projects are not supported by more recent versons of Audition -(I have since switched to REAPER software - and use Focusrite interfaces...)But - I am occasionally called on for a tweak or a re-mix on some of the stuff that I did with Audition 2 or 3.I had a chat session with Adobe recently and was told - "Sorry, the software is old - nothing we can do for you..."Is that entirely true? There used to be some forum posts about a work-around on the serial validation process.I bought valid software with the understanding that it would work, within reason, for the l
When I import a MP4 video file into Adobe Audition 2019, it takes extremely long time to load. Also, when I save the file. Can anybody tell me the reason. I have PC 32 MB RAM and 1TB Internal HDD, with 50% blank space.
Id like to know if there is a way to have all the fx racks for each channel turn off accept for the channels that are being solo'd.It would same my processor power when soloing and keep me from deactiviting them just to solo and playback smoothly.
Hello, I would like to get a clarification to the following:I am doing a podcast that focuses on speech so I have undertsood that using Mono is the right way to go.I dont need separation between left and right ear for my audio content. However, when I create the Multitrack session in audition, I need to select Mono or Stereo for the Master. 1) Does it matter whether I choose Mono or Stereo for the Master? If I am including music (intro jingle etc) does that mean I should select Stereo as Master? And if so, do I then select "Default Stereo Input" as "Mono Left/Right" for a specific track in multitrack with voice-over? And for the jingle track, do I need to select "Default Stereo Input" as "Stereo Default"? Please tell me what is the correct way to do this. Thank you.
Hey everyone. Im having a very serious problem here. Im trying to export my mixdown for my podcast episode and i keep getting an error for "bad allocation" which is causing the program to crash, repeatedly. Ive tried turn off auto back ups, turning of hardware acceleration. Please help me, how do I fix this issue. I was supposed to release the episode tonight. Sincerely; Dickie
Hello! Sorry if this is a common question, I had trouble trying to find an answer when googling and looking over the forums because it's difficult to phrase what I'm looking for. Sorry that this is a bit complicated. I have three recordings of the same conversation which is about two hours long. One is pristine clear audio of four people. Another is a web call recording of a fifth person with tinny web call quality. The third is clear audio of that fifth person with audio of the other four people at reduced web quality overlapping it. What we are looking at now is manually cutting between tracks every time the four people talk "over" the person who accidentally recorded them on their track. I was wondering if there was some way to automate the process or get the audio from the other call to at least partially cancel out the accidental recording since it's the exact same conversation. I know it's foolish to expect to separate out one human voice from another whe
So i wanna try making a sound that starts as a square or triangle wave, then shifts to the other one. I came up with a neat pattern to use as the transformation from one waveform to another, and I'm curious to see how it sounds. The only issue is that I'm very new to Audition and am not sure where to start. Is there a way to make custom waveforms from an image? Maybe from scratch if needed? This gif is pretty much what I'm aiming to do (each frame of the gif is one cycle of the waveform)

Hello,is there any possibility to save all the MP3 parameters to a profile that can be used when saving to MP3 format? I want to easily apply all the possible settings to automatically preserve that all my saved MP3 files have the same parameters. Thanks!
When importing an MP3 with cover art and I go to edit the audio portion and resave. It does not save the cover art again and I find myself having to re add the cover art.. Any ideas how to keep from resaving cover art?
No matter if I use headphones or monitors, the audio I tracked in Audition sounds tinny, like some weird filter effect. Thinking it could be computer settings or Audition settings, soundcard, etc.? Any help would be great! I'm also using SM58, Arrakis Arc-8 board, and Windows computer. Thanks!
I burned a CD from a CDLX file using Audition CC. When I play the CD in Windows Media Player, it displays the CD's title as "Various Artists", and displays song titles like "Back Ones Again". Only problem is, this information is completely incorrect. I suspect that WMP is going out online somewhere to get track info, then getting crazy data and displaying it - but I'm not sure. Is there any way of preventing this from happening when I burn the CD in Audition? The problem seems to happen whether or not I enter info under the Audition's Properties window. (I haven't tried messing with the Metadata tabs yet.)One other thing: Oddly, If I play a CD in WMP that I burned two years ago, also using Audition CC, it doesn't display the bogus info - only "Unknown Artist", and Track 1, Track 2, etc - which is greatly preferable to the phony info. But I can't find any difference between that old CDLX file and the one I'm using now.
Hi, I think I have found that option before, but how to mute the sound track while moving the cursor ? It is way too loud in headphones while going through tracks, thanks !!!
Hello everyone, I'm creating a video in which a person puts on a broken headphone. I already have some sounds collected, but I can't seem to find a way to make them sound broken. You know, with cracks and hitches. If anyone's played the game Detroit: Become Human, perhaps you remember the scene where Markus puts in his new hearing system and the broken sound goes like ZWEEEEEEP... EEP.... krkrkrrkrkrPSSSSSSHHHHH---WOOAAAAHSH! I have no idea where to start when creating that kind of sound. (video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLKA60b0BKs at 8:00.) Maybe this kind of stuff is impossible to make with Adobe Audition, but I whenever I type in "how to make audio sound broken" on Google, it only shows me how to FIX audio, which I absolutely do not need. Kind regards, Lisa
Dear Adobe - Please tell me that you're adding the Quantize feature to Audition. I've been a loyal user for years. I need this feature however. It's available on other DAWs and it's essential to my work. I'm running the 60-day trial on Reaper right now and if I don't get a positive response here I will be switching - and I don't want to switch. The audio pre-render and multi-core support seems vastly superior as well, FYI in case you haven't done a competitive analysis lately. I'll gladly assist you if you wish to have a real user help with the analysis. Thanks and you can reach me at kwslhs at yahoo dot you know what. Cheers. - Kent
This is frustrating. Just upgraded to a brand new 4k iMac with a Radeon Pro Vega 20 4 GB graphics card, 3.2 GHz Intel Core i7 and 32 gb of memory. Was I crazy to expect better performance from Audition CC? I'm using the laetsr OS from Apple 10.14.6 and the very latest version of Audition CC and yet trying to make any meanigful edits in Waveform view is almost impossible due toe the horridly slow wave redraw and jerky motion. It was waaaay better on my 2014 iMac. Can someone help please? As soon as I start to zoom out on the wave form and playback the screen is jerky beyond use.
I am running a podcast with only two vocal tracks. When i mixdown and export to WAV or MP3 format, the audio has a loud hissing sound on many of the silent parts of the audio. The hissing is always the exact same every time. Am i doing something wrong when exporting? Currently I had to go through the entire podcast and silence those parts which took a long time .
Doesnt matter the type of file, bitrate, Khz, everything exported from Audition has a very loud and distinctive hissing.Whats going on here? Thanks in AdvanceSimon

Hi guys, I'm having an issue with getting my voice to sound fuller on Audition. All the YouTube tutorials etc seem to only focus on evening out sharp pitches etc but that's not really what I need at the minute (it's still useful obviously but when I apply a lot of the effects from these tutorials it doesn't do anything to improve the overall "warmth" of my voice). My microphone is decent and records well but my voice sounds a bit flat. It basically needs to sound richer and fuller and I'm not sure how to do that? Is there someone out there who could show me a nice workflow to mend this? This is for a podcast by the way. Thanks very much I appreciate your help
