I just got a Steinberg UR-44 USB Audio Interface so I can take 3 separate audio streams and record a multi-track session. I have installed the right driver from Steinberg, and on their proprietary software I can see the audio from the 3 channels. I would very much prefer to use Audition to record and then later edit the audio, but it appears that Audition cannot see the 3 separate channels and basically is recording the same audio stream on every channel in a multi track recording session. How do I map the Steinberg channels to separate tracks in Audition?
Hi, I tried also this version, I hope it was noticially better then previous ones, but I advice that year passing without you correct some huge issues, that make the program sometime difficult to use, and not expressing the full potential of user's ideas. I STRONGLY HOPE you will consider the following for the future releases, it will be rellay stupid to don't care about these aspects! The usage of program in my case is for "offline/not live" DJ mixing purposes.REALLY ANNOYING CONTROLS:1) When is about to edit the volume in multitrack, ad build up an envelope the chances are very limited, they work quite ok for lower volumes, but to set for example -0,5dB I've to zoom a lot the track! Without zooming it there is a huge step from 0 to -1dB for example, and it is unacceptable, to huge step. Anyway, why steps? I tried to disable all the magnetic functions in tools bar, and I've never had the chance to have "free" envelope mouse, like it was with Adobe audition 1.5 or Cooledit, I still love

I open a 4-channel audio data with format '.wav', and then I would like to save as PCM file without any head. But I could not find this option. How to save a PCM file without any head. Whether if the function is removed?
I insert the MP3 file as a minus file in Adobe Audition CC 2015. When I want to save the session it says, that some files are out of the session and propose to save a copy. But a saved copy is of much LESS quality as an original MP3! I use 32 bit format for a whole session, 44100 sample rate, but still a big change...How to preserve the original quality of MP3?
A couple of weeks ago I started having problems with Adobe Audition. As a teacher I create e-books for our students and I record every page in Adobe Audition so that students can listen to each page in our e-books.This mean that in general I have to record about 40 sound clips averaging 3 minutes in length. For me AU has been perfect since the effects creates a nice sound and I can export in AAC V2 and get a small file size without a robotic sound to the recording.I've always use the multichannel setup since I can record in stereo and it is easy the edit that way. But a couple of weeks ago things started to get weird.I could record a clip but when I clicked the record button to record a new file I would get a blue ring around the record button. That marker would move but sound were recorded. The only thing that helped was to restart AU. This gets kind of annoying when you have to make 40 clips and some have multiple takes.I use a tc electronic desktop connect 6 firewire sound card. It w
Hi guys. My name is Fly and I'm new in here. I have a quick question and I'm sure some of the smarty pants crowd will be able to answer it very easily. So I'm following along to a tutorial by Mike Russell called How To Make Your Voice Sound Better (Secrets Revealed) on Youtube and I'm in about 5 steps in when Mike tells everyone to do this step; Amplitude & Compression->Dynamic processing->Mike Compression. Now I just updated my Adobe Audition to the 2017 version and it doesn't have MC. So did Adobe swap it out for another filter, Voice over or Broadcast Limiter? Thanks in advance. Flylikabird
Hi,I have the following issue:I try to record vocals with the Focusrite Solo Studio Generation 2 (USB). All the settings seem to be right (ASIO). But everytime I start to record the result is a distorted recorded voice. What could be the problem? I tested the audiointerface itself, without audition, the audio signal auf the microphone is clear and loud, so the audiointerface dont seem to be the problem. Anyone can help?Thank you very much in advance.
I have just updated to CC 2017 and I am having all sorts of problems with After Effects and Audition. I will focus on the Audition one.So I just open an audio file, high the volume, save and it shows an error that there is a problem writing on the disk (working local on an iMac retina 5k 27inch late 2015 with OS X El Capitan) and then it erases the whole wave form... luckily I got back ups, but seriously every year with a new update I got all sorts of problems, a bit more of testing before releasing it would great...CheersOmar
Hi, I'm a new user of Audition CC 2015. I have a video recording of a concert that I took with my video cam and saved on an SD card. The first 15 minutes were perfect and then all of a sudden I got a drop in the frequency level (see attached image). I've been trying to fix it using Audition CC 2015, I tried researching and finding a solution with no much success. Can someone point me in the right direction or things that I should try to do in order to fix this? Thank you! Much appreciated,JP
I was saving an audio interview of about 30 minutes in length, when it saved, it was a few seconds short of 19 minutes, and when I played it back, it was speeded up and there was some crackling. I'm using 6.0. What happened? How do I fix it?Thanks!
When I got the word to update Adobe Creative Cloud to CC 2017, I clicked on, "Update All" of which Audition was one of the affected titles. A day or two later, when I launched Audition to do some editing on a song my writing partner and I have been working on for a year, I immediately noticed that Audition no longer functioned through the ASIO/USB buss to my mixer and power amp to my studio monitors, but instead the sound came through the PC's sound card on the ASUS motherboard to the Klipsch Pro Media System I have connected to my editing PC. After resetting the ASIO buss and re-launching Audition, the sound routing was corrected and now coming through the monitor via the ASIO/USB interface and mixer. However, a much worse issue was then revealed! Nearly every previously-saved fader volume level on the Audition virtual mixer was now different than where I had last saved it prior to the upgrade. I could barely hear the vocals any longer among other things. Many fades were now set at Un
Good day!I've been working a couple months in a song and today after I saved a session and restarted the computer i found it impossible to open again.I still have all the voices and the beat in the folders but Audition says "file Error: The file is either corrupt or using an unsupported format" ... This is something i haven't seen before. I dont know what happened but i hope there's a way to fix it. This is the file in question, in case someone can take a look http://www.mediafire.com/file/o54bbww984b6wht/lies_demo.sesxWhats strange is that i didnt do anything out of the ordinary but when i opened audition all of the quick "open recent" sessions where gone, i had to pick it up from the explorer....Thanks for your time and help.Mensaje editado por: Darklex Zeid
i have uploaded a vocal recorded on a Neumann u87 along with a Neve 1073 2ch mic pre. and a whole bunch of other outboard gear. im having trouble getting this vocal not to sound sort of muffled when played in my car at high volume. while mixing with my yamaha ms80's i do not hear any muffled sound though. only when the mix is done and its played in headphones or my car. its not really bad, but just slighty the clarity in the vocal sounds a little muffled when volume is pretty high. do you think this is due to the actual recording and i have to re record it, or it can be fixed by putting a limiter on it or something? as i said...playing the vocal by itself through my studio monitors i do not hear any distortion of muffledness at all, what am i missing here?heres a link to the vocalDropbox - RELL VOCALS.mp3
I record my show using 3 Mics, and a H6 Zoom. When I transfer the audio to Audition I can never seem to clear the background on each audio track. It still picks up the other two hosts of the show, even at a distance away. Is there a clear cut way to completely cut the extra background noise? Obviously I don't want to change the main vocals on the the track, but if it picks mine and another person's voice up while the other host is talking into their own mic, how can I get rid of it? I have tried to noise print( noise reduction process) and learn sound model( sound remover) it and nothing seems to work. I am fairly new to editing any type of audio and to be honest I really can't seem to get this thing down right.PLEASE HELP!!
I have updated to Audition CC2017, and I am trying to change the bitrate on a file when it is being exported to an MP3. It is taking almost 2hrours for a 43 min audio recording. Am I doing something wrong? Or is this just the way it is?I have been exporting to MP3 with no problems before extremely quick. But I haven't changed the bitrate before as now I am trying to save space for a podcast. Thanks for any helpWalt
Are there some preferred settings that are ideal for his reduction from headset mic (Podcast) recordings? I am using the capture noise print, then applying the noise reduction/restoration (adaptive noise reduction) to the whole clip, but I can't seem to get good quality to come out of it. The hiss is reduced, but then the audio sounds very muffled and like there is distortion in the audio. Just wondering if there are some ideal settings or if I just keep playing with different combinations to get something that works well. Thanks,
Hi there,So I'm trying to explore the trial of the latest Audition. I'm running Sierra, the latest version - 10.12.1 - and I have iCloud Drive Documents and Data enabled. When I attempt to launch Audtion, I get an error because Audition cannot access the Documents folder. (Error message below). I think this is almost certainly due to the fact I have iCloud Drive / Documents & Data (which moves the entire Documents and Desktop folders onto iCloud, keeping it integrated with the Finder). I'm surprised I appear to be the only one with the error, but I guess maybe I'm the only one using iCloud Drive Documents & Data and Audition?Anyway. I've tried using symbolic links etc, or trying to edit .plists, but to no avail. Please help!!
This sounds like the basic answer would be... "turn off the keyframes or delete the envelope for volume" in order to bring the volume back for the rest of the track but here's the thing... ((i'll be super brief)) I was messing around with some settings within a plugin (iZotope Nectar 2) on my MacBook Pro (iOS Sierra), adjusting the keyframe points for various aspects of the effect in various areas of the vocal track. Then i noticed that only one part of the vocal track would play (a part i had applied a particular vocal effect to previously). So, I deleted every envelope and every key point in the track, bringing all the volume levels up again and restoring it to a normal audio track. So when I play the track without any effects, it's back to the complete audio file, playing from start to finish. But any time i add any effect to the track on any effect insert, it will only play audio for that part i had edited before. The rest will be silent. Is this just a glitch ?If there's no logical rea
I too have the waveform display problems mentioned, mine taking place in audition 2017. (Never had 'em in earlier editions) And I have been having a lot of crash issues as well. I work with AA on the left side of screen and the script from which I am reading on the right. If I punch in and do retakes, 50% of the time AA crashes. I wonder if these 2 issues are related. AS I said these are new. They never happened in previous editions.
Hi everyoneI'm a podcaster and I'm using Audition to edit my interviews. All was going well but in the last week things have gone awry! Two related but different problems. I do my interviews on Skype and record with e-camm. In the last week things haven't been working:1. open an interview in Audition and only one track/channel shows up (me) and not my guest. I sent my audio file to a colleague who opened it in Audition and both tracks showed up and played normally. 2. open another interview in Audition and both tracks show but my audio is only there for first few seconds, then nothing.Note: I've played these audio files in other programs e.g. QuickTime and Camtasia and both tracks/channels are there and play perfectly. So I deleted Audition and reinstalled but still the same problem.Has anyone come across this before and know of a solution?Fingers crossed someone can help me.Ciao, NKT55
I have an old record of my Grandmother playing the piano from 1937. She is turning 100 next week and I decided to surprise her with a digital restored copy of her song. The piano is very quiet and there is a lot of static. I have been sampling various static for removal (slowly chiseling away at about 4% every pass.) It is sounding a lot better but still has a lot of static. I know static is broadband and can be very hard to remove. I would like to know if there is a way I could set some sort of filter for each piano key frequency, in turn I could cut out all of the other frequencies that do not fall within each key of the piano (hoping that the piano was actually in-tune in the first place). Then also be able to boost only those freqs. Like have EQ sliders for specific frequencies? Thank you
I'd like to be able to do some scripting in Adobe Audition, similarly to how you can with Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects. My thoughts are to be able to save a CSV file with a scratch track, then automatically generate multiple audio files using the new "Generate Speech" feature. I'd also specify the format, voice speed, voice avatar, output destination, etc. Is this possible? Command line option if not? Thanks!Bryce
When I with edit with the new Audition 2017 (downloaded yesterday), my wave form - where there is clearly audio (see spectral display), is missing. i hear it fine, but it tough to edit without seeing! It also happens in the smaller (master waveform at the top). I've updated my NVidia driver, restarted etc.
Why do i loose so much upfrontness to my vocals after adding reverb? I do compression and eq before reverb...should i do that after to try and add the upfrontness back to the vocal with eq? I dont even really add alot of reverb, jus a small touch but it always pushes my vocals back really far. Any ideas?
