I like testing out the Beta of Photoshop, but I don't always want to use it as sometimes it feels a little laggy and I don't want to have to go in and set up all my brushes and workspace and stuff. Unfotunately, Bridge always defaults file type associations to the Beta version. Is there a way to change every file type association to the regular release of photoshop at once or a way to exclude the beta version of a program? If not, there should be.
Hello to the community,High quality preview construction is good on Bridge 2022 but not on Bridge 2023.Problem in the second post...Here is my configuration:
Hi,I can’t seem to get my images from the card reader to Adobe Bridge. There are a few moving parts here, so I’m not sure which part is the problem. My Adobe Bridge is up to date, V 14.0.4. I have a new camera, so I had to buy a new type of card, the CFexpress Type B card, and since I had a new card, I also needed to buy a new card reader (so I’m using the ProGrade PG05.5 Dual Slot Card Reader. I took some photos, inserted the CFExpress Type B card in the Card Reader, and when I click on Photo Downloader, I get “None Detected”. In the past I would see the Nikon name and the drive, which resulted in the viewing of all my images on that card.I am using Windows 11, and when I go into File Explorer, and open the Nikon D850 folder, then the DCIM folder, I can see my images.Do I need to make some setting changes, somewhere? I haven’t had issues with the Photo Downloader in the past, all went well, so I’m not sure if it’s the newest version of Bridge, or the new type of image card or the card
I created a smart collection in Bridge to select all files on an SSD (where pictures are stored in subfolders) with the following conditions: file name starts with _ and ends with jpg and color profile contains Adobe. Almost 1.500 files are selected. Then I select all files in the collection and batch export converting them in jpg 100% quality keeping the same filename (basically overwriting them). It basically works but after a while (typically after 200-300 files are exported) the export process gets stuck. If I cancel the process and start again, it won't start. If I close Bridge, it doesn't close. I need to force stop Bridge closure and start again, but again after 200 exporst the process gets stuck etc etc etc
I just updated to Bridge 2024 and now suddenly I can't change star ratings and color labels without having to use the command key! Very incovenient to need two hands to do this! I looked at the preferences, figuring I'd just check the box that says you don't need the command key, but its gone!!! There's no option for labeling and starring without command anymore! This needs to be fixed. How is it an improvement to make something harder to do???
Hi there, I was re-organizing an old bunch of photos under LrC and Br (respectively 2026 versions) and I noted one thing: the EXIF value for color “mode” under Bridge is: RGB (under LrC → Metadata Panel → Exif section I wasn’t even able to see this value!!! Why?) Now I’m pretty sure that at that time my camera’s color space was set to AdobeRGB and if I open this image with the MacOS preview and then I go to the the its inspector (cmd+i) what I got is that: in the General tab the “colour mode” is RGB (as in Bridge) but in Picture Style tab I got “AdobeRGB, 2, 2” under picture Style Colour Spaceso, somehow, the information about which colour space was set on the camera for shooting this picture is correctly reported. Now the question is simple: how come that Bridge doesn’t report it correctly? and is there way to correctly have the color space in EXIF data under Adobe apps?
With the latest Bridge update, I see that the keyboard rating method now required me to hold the command key (Mac OS) and then a number 1 to 5. Previously it was simply just the number. Seems simple, but my habit is strong and this is a nuisance. How can I set it to just require the numeral keys? Thanks.
Ik heb contact gehad met Adobe, op afstand hebben ze iets gedaan, maar dat leverde niets op. Er werd niet gechecked of het probleem opgelost was. Helaas..
I cannot find any option to sort folders first in Content window, they are still mixed with files. Is there a way to force folders display first?I'm on macOS and latest updates of all.
I haven't used Bridge for years. I used to use it (for photos) the way I now use Lightroom for previwing and organisting images. I remember it would also work farily quickly for videos. Now it seems to not work at all. I have been importing 100s of videos (MP4 and MOV), and there are no thumbnails or previews. These are files I can see thumbnails in Windows explorer, and play thme when I double click on them. Is this expected behavour?
Hi community,I have added a server volume to my Favorites. This server volume contains 11 shared volumes.(ok, they are large—several TBs each.)When I launch Bridge in the morning, the spinning cursor appears for a very long time before the shared folders finally display(4-6min.). On occasion, I have even quit and restarted Bridge in the interim. Is there a way to speed up the reading/displaying of this volume?Sure, Bridge naturally has to "check" what's there first, but it simply takes too long.My system specs are: Bridge v16.02, macOS v15.7.1, accessing a server via the Samba protocol (version? — would that be relevant?).I would be grateful for any tips.
I ran out of disk space on an external hard disk, so I moved a large folder of photographs to a different external disk. Now photographs that were in the original place are lost in an important bridge collection. I can relocate them one by one in Bridge using the “Fix” dialog, but there are hundreds to fix. Question 1: Is there any way to to point Bridge to the new location of the folder and tell it to fix all pointers to photographs in that folder? Question 2: I am solving my storage problem by buying new larger disks. How can I avoid the same problem when I move all photographs to a new disk? Thanks,Phil
Adobe Bridge photo downloader does not recognise my Canon R7 camera. I have tried some simple tips from the internet but nothing works. I have tried downloading images via a card reader as well as direct from the camera - neither work. I have downloaded the latest Bridge software. I have also tried Adobe Bridge Beta. I have an Apple Imac. My OS is up to date - Tahoe 26.4.1Any help and suggestions would be great !Thanks.Maggie
Bridge still not workingmany times re-install and installI can not work whit-out bridge help please
I got a new PC and on this I get a fail message when I try to download. Any idea why?
I have a folder full of photos and folders. I want to order all of them via date created, but Bridge keeps the folders and files firmly seperated, but I would like to manually mix them all together, for true chronological order. Is there a way to do this?
Adobe Bridge displays “Initializing Video Library” in the status bar at bottom upon startup. This persists for 10-30 minutes. During this time, any click on the interface (e.g. Preferences) causes a beach ball (Adobe Bridge stops responding) for 30 to 120 seconds. I don’t use Adobe Bridge for video. Is there a way to completely disable the video library? (I’m not even sure what that is or why it takes up to a half hour to initialize, or what happens during initialization.) Mac Studio, Apple M2 Max, 64GB RAM, MacOS 14.8.3 (23J220)
After update to 9.0.2.219 x64 (Win 10) Bridge opens all kind of files in AfterEffects..psd, .jpg. .indd, .pdf, .xls you name it. ALL.Resseting file types associations - no change.Resseting all preferences (Ctrl+Alt+Shift start method) - no change.Any ideas? To be clear, opening from Windows finder works correctly, just double clicking inside Bridge opens AE.
I just got a notification that popped up on my M2 Macbook Air that components of Adobe Bridge will not work in a future macOS release. Does this mean Adobe will finally have to optimize Adobe Bridge and it’s features for Apple M chips?
Only about 1/3 of my keyword list is importing into the 2026 Bridge. How can I get the rest of it in there? Here is what it should look like
Sony ARW RAW files are not imported from Bridge 2026!!
I'm trying to switchover from Adobe Bridge to Lightroom for tracking and sorting photos. I have literally hundreds of keywords, lots of species and common names, in Bridge. I need a proper photo catalog again, and Lightroom is what's there. But....it turns out Bridge will happily export those keywords to an .xml or .txt file, but Lightroom will not import them directly because Lightroom disallows punctuation characters in keywords. But after I worked with text edit to remove/replace all of the forbidden characters, and imported the xml file into Lightroom, it did import them, but kept all the formatting stuff...So each of these lines came out as keywords<?xml version="10" encoding="UTF 8" standalone="yes" ?><keywords version="2"> <set name="Characteristic" disclosed="false"> <item name="Geolocator screenshot" /> <item name="inset closeup" /> <item name="Landscape" /> <set name="macro" disclosed="true">
I had to install the old version of Adobe Bridge 16.0.0 MacBook Pro i7 and sonoma 14.8.5 version 16.0.3 won't start!
