I'm trying to switch from Picasa to Bridge as my photo organizer. My main problem with Bridge is that it doesn't automatically recognize the tags created in Picasa as keywords. It seems to recognize them as "unassigned" keywords and displays them in the keyword panel in italics, but each one has to be right-clicked on and converted to "Persistent" to remove the italics and have the keyword entered into Bridge's library of keywords. Since I have hundreds of keywords, that's not going to work for me. Is there a faster way?
Have been able to add keywords and change capture time in Bridge (all versions) up until recently. However, created a few with Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra this month. None of these are able to be edited by Bridge - tried all versions, including the latest beta. The videos were taken in H.264 format.Current version Bridge is 16.0.2.23Is there anything else I can do?
My last Windows 10 desktop gave up the ghost rather suddenly, and I moved to a Windows 11 HP desktop replacement. Of course I had to re-install my favourite programmes and in the process the file “Adobe Bridge Keywords.xml” from my old system was overwritten by a new file with just a few American suggestions for Keywords (eg: Places/New York, Events/Thanksgiving etc.) appearing on Bridge when I opened it. I kick myself for not making a better System Backup.Today I started the job of giving my photos Keywords again by creating the beginning of a Keyword tree in the Keywords panel. My new Keyword list appeared in the Adobe Bridge Keywords.xml file. Before linking the photos to the Keywords I opened a folder dated 2004 in Bridge and found that the Keyword Panel was populated with the original Keywords that applied to these photos, although all in Italic Text . This was a surprise to me as I had thought the keyword designations for these photos had been lost when the “Adobe Bridge K
Currently using Bridge 2026, but have Bridge 2020 in my Apps list (Windows 11). Try to uninstall 2020 but get the message ‘Specified product is not installed on this machine.’ Suggestion has been made to reinstall Bridge 2020 to correct any problems and then try to uninstall it. However, cannot find a Bridge 2020 installation file!
Adobe Bridge 15.0.3.525 Windows 11 Pro. Laptop Dell G16 I9 64gb of memory, 4TB SSD. Every 5 minutes or so Bridge freezes while I am working with it displaying “Not Responsive” in the title bar for maybe 30 seconds or so without any other error. Regardless how many photos are in the folder. Then it unfreezes like nothing ever happened. It happened with most previous versions too. Thanks.
Using windows 11 and latest vesrions of Photoshop and bridge. When I start an export of workflow bridge stops and shows error. When I click the error window Bridge asks me if I am sure I want to quit. Quitting bridge will stop all the background processes it says. The problems started to appear after I updated to the latest version. I tried different versions but all versions work after deleting and reinstalling it until....I restart my computer. After restarting the export and workflow stop working. It will give the same error again. Meanwhile it will process one photo in the workflow. Which includes making a new folder and saving a new file there. After that one photo it gives the error window. When I say they stop working I mean that they make one new folder with one image processed in it and then give me the error window. But when I try the same workflow again just nothing happens at all.So far it seems that other things work like batch. One clue, that I don't understand, is that wh
I have a 250 frame sequence currently named, 0001.png - 0251.png I am trying to use batch rename to change naming to >>» Frame1 (100 ms) - Frame251 (100 ms) However, Bridge is not iterating the sequence number at all upon execution. The preview shows the desired name change but it will not actually complete the desired operation. It will operate as expected if I choose 4-digit frame padding in the sequencing option, but I need THIS specific naming convention. It would seem to me if the preview can properly iterate, then SURELY this expensive software should be able to complete the action to the same specification. Please fix. See images:
Alvast dank
Attached are two screenshots. One shows the command to try to rename one image. The second shows the “result” -- a blank file that cannon be opened.
how does one import CSV file metadata into Adobe Bridge selected images?(thus speeding up AI keywording process)
I accidentally overrode previously added keywords (done in photoshop) when trying to add a keyword to a number of images and learned to my horror that keyword/metadata changes have no history and cannot be undo. Given adding metadata is one of the reasons I even use Bridge, the fact that a typo is made permanent is really frustrating. It seems from previous comments that this has been deemed to “be not a problem” by the developers, but I disagree that immediately permanent changes could be considered a feature. Bridge would be a much better program if it could at least retain previous temporary metadata change history. I don’t expect extended history, but changes made in a session should not be permanant.
Yesterday I reported SVG files getting corrupted by Bridge, when they’re getting ranked or labelled. Well, WEBp files also are corrupted by the same cause. The transparency is ignored and a ‘striped’ pattern (a continuation of the intended masked image edges) fills the gaps.It seems to me that when Bridge adds or edits some (meta) data, the files gets corrupted. In case of SVG files, strict apps like Figma don’t like the taste of it anymore, and refuse to import it.In case of WEBp-files with transparency, the mask is destroyed. I didn’t notice it until I opened the WebP file back into Photoshop and saw what happened. (Bridge created and kept its correct-looking preview before I used ranking or labelling.)
With my old laptop I could rate pictures in Full Screen Preview (Spacebar) mode, then I could see the rating in the lower left corner. But with my new Mac Book Air, I can only rate in the list of the file names. It doesn’t work in Full Screen or Review Mode anymore. How can I fix this?
**Issue**: In Adobe Bridge 2026 (version 16.0.2.23), HEIC files (iPhone photos, identical auto-numbering) display perfectly (thumbnails + preview) in some folders, but completely fail (no thumbnails OR preview) in other folders on the same internal drive. Windows Explorer and Photos app read ALL HEIC files without issue.**Configuration**:- Windows 11 25H2 (latest)- Extensions installed: HEIF Image Extension (1.0.51005.0) + HEVC Video Extension (free device manufacturer 3.0.8.564 + paid version tested then removed)- Bridge fully reset (Ctrl+Alt+Shift), cache purged multiple times (all, per folder, per selection)- Preferences adjusted: Max file size 5000MB, cache 100GB, high quality- Files local on internal drive (not OneDrive/NAS), simple names no accents/special chars- Tested: Refresh (F5), move folders, antivirus disabled**Steps tried (all failed)**:- Uninstall/reinstall HEIF/HEVC (PowerShell for invisible HEIF)- Full Bridge reset- Increase cache/thumbnail limits- Purge + F5 per folde
Duplicate Collections do not preserve custom sort of the original. Tried every suggestion - drag and drop, "pre-set" manual, duplicate file in finder. Each method scrambles the sequence in the new collection. I do not want to rename the files in the original collection. Working with Bridge 2026, Mac OS 26.2. Is this a hopeless pursuit?
Bridge Export Dialog Is a Squandered Opportunity Lightroom already has an export panel that is close to ideal: clear, complete, and efficient. Bridge, meanwhile, offers a much more limited version, for no obvious reason. Please add: LZW compression for TIFF JPEG XL WebP a resizable export window proper rename controls on export Right now the panel has a fixed height, so users have to scroll through stacked collapsible sections like this is still an early prototype. Add to that the missing rename options, and the whole feature starts to feel far less useful than it should be. The Workflow panel suffers from the same problem.Bridge should not have a noticeably weaker export workflow than Lightroom.
My suggestion would be to be able to lock tabs to a specific directory or file that cannot be accidentally changed.
I am a paid subscriber and I use Adobe 11 2021 Bridge and Photoshop for WindowsI am looking for the Adobe Bridge 11.1.1 installer I contacted Adobe but they said they don’t have it.I don’t like updated versions of Bridge / RAW because this versions works best for me.I had to update my computer because of windows 10 to windows 11 and I had the previous installer of Bridge. I need 11.1.1 so that I can be on the final update of 11 that had less bugs.If anyone can help me with the Installer for Adobe bridge 11.1.1 for Windows It will be appreicatred.Thank you
When I’m dragging or simply importing SVG files to Figma, I noticed that when I have ranked or labelled or otherwise ‘touched’ an SVG file, I can’t use it anymore in Figma. And the W3C Validator also reports some errors. Here’s one example (057 AIL icon 2026), which I could easily drag from Bridge or import as a file in Figma. But after labelling it (which changes and saves some metadata), Figma can’t import it anymore. (Copying and pasting the artwork still works.)BTW, it doesn't always happen ! The file (svg-4.svg) got a label from Bridge, but Figma accepts this one as normally.
Starting a few days ago, having selected an image to edit in ACR I found that choosing the Brush Tool produced an error message: “Bridge has encountered a problem and has to close.” I reported this but have received no advice by email. I deleted Bridge and re-installed: same problem occurs. I’ve cleared the cache: made no difference. I’ve updated PS & ACR: no difference.Having re-subscribed to Adobe CC only recently I am disenchanted with this persistent fault and zero contact from Adobe.
The entire thumbnail does not shift, however with a mixture of bitmap objects plus overlay art, the bitmap objects are shifted out of place or shifted out of the thumbnail entirely. The overlay elements remain in place. The images (jpgs) in Illustrator are linked. Also the images are larger than the artboard initially and resized. There is only one artboard. This only seems to affect image objects in Illustrator. The vector objects seem unaffected.FYI, my Illustrator files begin as pre-built .ai files containing pre-existing guides, artboard, and many objects that I frequently use as overlays. So, outside the artboard are dozens of my objects that I use as needed. In Windows Explorer previews and the Illustrator welcome page, all objects inside and outside the artboard appear in the thumbnail, correctly positioned. In Bridge, only the artboard contents appear in thumbnails, but images are missing or shifted in the thumbnail.Attached images are from thumbnails in Bridge -One is the .png
Every time I try to batch rename files in Adobe Bridge 15.1.1.729 Bridge freezes when it reaches ca. 10%Sometimes I want to change the following order of my pictures, so I give a picture which has a name and number already a number of the pictures which it should follow with suffix 'b'.When I want to rename the series of pictures, Bridge freezes and when I stop the action and stop and start Bridge again. The renumbered pictures are at the end of the row, with "temp1" at the end of the name. Then I try the action again, and then it works.I had online help from Adobe 2 times. They installed Adobe Bridge again and that helps, but only for 1 or 2 times using the batch rename function, then the problem starts again. My numbering looks like this: 5809_ESP_Provincia-de-Salamanca_La-Alberca So when I change the number, I put "b" after the number of the picture that should be first to this one, as i.e. 5782b_ESP_Provincia-de-Salamanca_La-Alberca, and then I rename the pictures unt
I’m a working pro product photographer still on Bridge 12. Newer releases, including v16, simply will not handle large numbers of files.I have been working with an image catalog of over 100,000 files, mostly JPEG images. Bridge 12 can load this many, scroll through the list, run scripts, display thumbs, etc without choking.Bridge 16 will not even show this many files. It simply beachballs and has to be force quit. This doesn’t even count all the UI problems and bugs, just being usable at all.I’m not looking for troubleshooting- if Bridge 12 handles a task, I expect Bridge 16 to do so as well. If it can’t then the older version should remain available for installation.
Working with LOT of images. Editing events. It's the M O S T D R E A D E D part of my photo life, because I edit in Bridge aka the slowest editing software on the planet Earth and beyond. Creating previews - takes forever. Getting 100% preview sharpness - takes forever. Exporting using Image Processor - IS. THE. SLOWEST. PROCESS... yeah you guessed it.. On planet Earth and beyond. I think I see my plants growing while waiting for Image processor to render from Raw to JPEG. Will make another post about that too. THIS TIME:I'm looking at 300 images at this moment. I want to scroll down, up, doesn't matter. I grab the scrolling bar, move it down and... the show started... Everything becomes unresponsive, meaning, I cannot stop it, I cannot click anything because - the scroll bar keeps on scrolling. It just scrolls... one screen down, two, three, four, and keeeeeps on scrolling. My options - take a 3 hour break, which I cannot because I AM PAID to edit the images. Or
