I have completed a project in premiere pro 24.6.2. I have rendered out the project using 1920x1080 and 29.97fps. When I export to Media Encoder, I use the H264 format and check to ensure that the settings are still the same. The preview shows the entire video. However, when Media Encoder renders the clip, it looks more like 1920x540, clipping the lower half of the video. I've deleted media encoder, reinstalled, checked for updates in all the adobe programs,migrated the files onto the local computer, etc. I've spent a week on forums and rerendering a 5 minute video to no resolve. I'm not seeing any error logs. I've tried other formats and I still get the same result. I've verified that its importing in a 1920x1080 format, but everything is rendering in what appears about 1920x540, though encoder says otherwise. In all my years of using premiere pro and media encoder, I've never had this much problem out of the software. I'm using Windows 11. Any help would be much appreiciated.

Premiere PRO: 24.1.0 (Build 85)Media Encoder: 24.1 (Build 68)Windows 11 version 23H2 (KB5043076) After sending a file from a Premiere Pro project to Media Encoder for rendering and clicking on the start button to start the rendering, the Media Encoder does not proceed with the task. No rendering occurs. We uninstalled and reinstalled the PP and ME software and tried disabling ESET antivirus but still were not able to get this to work. This has functioned before but not for the last two weeks. The only change we can think of is the Windows OS update that might have caused this issue. If no fixes are available for this, where can I find an older version of PP and ME? We have a user running PP version 15.4.0. and we would like the installation file for that version. Thank you,    

I have an After Effects project outputting to DPX. When I render it out of Media Encoder it give me a 48 to 60 hour render time, whereas rendering directly in After Effects it is under 10 hours. The output sttings as far as I can tell are identical. Rendering directly in After Effects is showing 40% PCU usage, but Media Encoder is showing about 5%, so my best guess is that Multi-Frame rendering isn't working correctly in Media Encoder. Running AE 2024 (24.6.2) and ME 2024 (24.6.1) on Windows. Source files and render target are over the network, but the same config is used for AE and ME, so have mostly ruled that out. Anyone had a similar experience? Or have any tips for troubleshooting ME? I much prefer to render out of ME so that AE is tied up for the whole render.

Status of the files in the queue list are presumably labeled "ready" and "done" in English, but in Swedish someone has chosen words that are so close to each other, making them somewhat confusing – "klar" and "färdig" can be used interchangeably. Instead, change "ready – klar" to "redo"and that way you could leave "done – färdig" or maybe change it to "genomförd".

Hi, I need to disable network adapter for media encoder to start encoding. Why? I had exact same problem with AME 2019, and that was the main reason for me to switch to the newest one available.After a few monts I have the same problem with the newest AME. I mean, where does AME needs to connect prior to start encoding and why it is unable to do so?Logically,  disabled network adapter means there is no connection whatsoever for AME, telling it DO NOT EVEN TRY TO connect, and then it works.Ideas, solutions? windows10, latest updatelatest adobe 

I already know how to fix this in Premiere Pro as shown in https://youtu.be/z4lkODFtwHQ . That's by changing the Media Color Space to Rec 2020. However, the color space is greyed out in ME. So, how could I fix the overexposed video in ME? 

I can render the same comp out of After Effects in about 5 min, whereas it takes 30 min to render the same comp from Media Encoder. Why is ti like this. Happy to share project files etc to find out. 

Hi all, when I export through media encoder my third party effects (such as a keyer and transitions) don't end up in my export (either showing up as offline media or just not at all), but when I export directly from Premiere Pro they are! This is interrupting my workflow as I need to continually export when editing other projects (obviosuly not possible if exporting from Premiere directly). Anyone have any ideas? I suppose this might actually be an intentional choice but it seems like a bug, since for as long as I've been using Media Encoder, a file's Source Range has defaulted to the in/out of your Premiere (currently on v24.5.0 Build 57) sequence, if it had one. I'm on version 24.5 Build 50 of Media Encoder and, when exporting separate parts of a sequence, now have to manually adjust my settings for each queued file and change the source range from "Work Area" to "Sequence In/Out". Just looking for clarity on whether or not this was intentional. And if it was, I would love an option to default to in/out (or any of the other options for that matter). I had a queue of several encodes going for a while that I decided to pause while I did some work in Premiere in After Effects. After Effects needed to render something that took 20 hours. When that was done I went back to Media Encoder and continued the encode, but now my "remaining" time says 27 hours remaining. Each job in this queue typically takes about 1-2 hours. So obviously, Media Encoder is not factoring in the time paused for its time remaining calculation. It basically just seems to be this basic calculation: (CurrentTime - StartTime) / %complete * %left

I recently updated all my Adobe software, including Adobe Media Encoder to version 24.6.1, as well as other Adobe apps. However, after the update, my After Effects compositions and Premiere sequences stopped working with the Adobe Media Encoder dynamic link server.  The connection only shows progress bar loading.To troubleshoot, I downgraded Adobe Media Encoder, After Effects, and Premiere to previous versions, performed an Adobe cleanup, and reinstalled all the software. When that didn't work, I reset my PC, reinstalled Windows, and tried again, but the problem persisted. I also tried using the latest After Effects version (24.6.1) with different older versions of Adobe Media Encoder, and it briefly worked with After Effects 24.6.1 and Adobe Media Encoder 24.3. I realize that this thread is 5 years old, but I want to post this for anyone else having a problem with Media Encoder crashing.  It started happening to me whether I used ME 2021 or ME 2024.  At the same time, something else started happening that seemed unrelated.  I have a program on my PC called MacDrive 10 that allows me to read and write to Mac formatted hard drives.  When I booted my computer, I would get an error message telling me that MacDrive 10 wouldn't load.  I updated to the latest version of MacDrive 10, and suddenly ME started working just fine!  Go figure.

Updated to Premiere/Media encoder 24.6.0 this morning and noticed our MOGRT template with a replaceable image was failing to export.  The exports don't fail, but the image file in the MOGRT doesn't appear in the exported file. Other elements do appear (text layers), but just not the image.  If I export the sequence directly from Premier the image in the MOGRT is visible as expected.In the attached example there should be a title treatment image above the text messaging, but in the exported file (from media encoder) it's not present. I tried uninstalling/re-installing Premiere and Media encoder but issue still exists, so I've rolled back to Premiere 24.5.0 and the issue is not present.MacBook Pro 16, M1 Max 64GBSonoma 14.6.1

I am attempting to render proxy files via AME v. 24.4.1 (Build 2). The originals are MXF files and import correctly and without issue into both After Effects (24.5.0 - Build 52) and Premiere Pro (24.5.0 - Build 57) on Windows 11 Pro (PC & OS details at the end).    AME dialog box reads: "File Import Failure"Error Message:"The file [path] could not be imported. The file format is not supported." The same file imports, plays, etc. in both AE and PPro versions listed above, see the files imported into the project panels of each: I would expect MXF files imported by AE/PPro to also be imported by AME. Please help if you can. I'm trying to export my video from Premiere Pro 23.6.7 to Media Encoder 23.6.6. The sequence is sent to ME and appears fine in the projects list. However when I click the start button nothing happens. I thought it might be an issue with cache or a broken update so, I did a complete system reset. Completely wiped my HD and reinstalled everything. I was successfully able to render a video but, the problem is perssisting. Nothing happens when I hit start for the render. What is going on?? I am working on a Mac OS Monterey 12.7.5

Note the unusual appearance of “dish”. That is the only thing unusual about the video.

Hello, Adobe After Effects and Photoshop work great, but Media Encouder and Premiere Pro just won't open, they load and then close automatically. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it didn't work. If you have any ideas i would appreciate it. 

Hi everyone.My usual workflow is to send the completed Premiere Pro file to Media Encoder, where I have some user-genenerated presets that optimize the video at various framerates, crops, and with/without captions.Since installing a couple of Waves VST3 plugins into Premiere Pro, Media Encoder output doesn't work as expected.Sending a Premiere Pro sequence to Media Encoder and selecting an output preset that ignores captions doesn't work. In other words, Media Encoder is rendering the Premiere Pro captions regards of whatever is set in the Media Encoder preset. The only workaround here is to manually turn off the Premiere Pro caption track in the sequence timeline. Note that sending a Premiere Pro sequence (no Waves plugins) with captions, to Media Encoder set to output captions, works great.I've tried using a different machine and OS, but I get the same result. I've approached Waves for help. Al intentar exportar o crear Proxys desde Premiere, Media encoder se abre y empieza el proceso, pero unos 15 segundos después se cierra sin decir ningun tipo de error. Solo me da un informe en archivo DMP.

Hello everyone,I have an export issue with Media Encoder (and Premiere has the same problem). When I select the "Match Source - Adaptive Low Bitrate" export preset, artifacts appear in the movements of the subject being filmed. The problem does not occur if I set VBR 2-pass or CBR. I have also tried disabling the Mercury GPU Acceleration, but the only result was a longer export time. I have a Mac Studio M2 with 64 GB of RAM. I tried the "Match Source - Adaptive Low Bitrate" preset on a Mac Mini M1 and a 2018 MacBook Pro i5, and this problem did not occur. How can I fix it? All Adobe apps are updated to the latest version. Using VBR 2-pass or CBR is not an option as it doubles the export times, and since I have many videos, I cannot afford this in terms of machine usage.

Missing a font...that's not actually missing. Incredibly annoying. I can't keep spending time trying to track down why it thinks a font is missing..that isn't missing. Premiere Pro can use it with no problem.

I recently updated Media Encoder to to version 24.4.1 and it will no longer import AVI files I've rendered with After Effects.  The import progress bar is full, but frozen.  I reverted back version by version and had the same problem until I got to ME version 23.5I've tried several different files and the only difference to my workflow is the ME update. Is there a different codec for AVI files in the newer versions that I need to download or has anyone else had a similar issue?  I'm fine using the old version for now but I would prefer having updated version functioning.Thanks

A common problem it seems -  I have been through all the previous posts about this issue and tried absolutely everything but nothing works. This happened to me a while back, I left it, waited for a new update and it worked. I work with .MXFs everyday with no problem, and then somehow these specific ones are a problem. 1. Using Media Encoder 24.5 (problem present on previous version)2. Windows 10 22H23. I download .mxf file, put it in AME, set to conver to h.264 and I get this failed result error:4.
