Hi, I’m looking for assistance with an ongoing render issue in Ae.The render queue fails to close out short of completion, yet the rendered clip is done and waiting for me in the folder. I’ve cleared the cache and turned off multi-frame rendering (suggestions I found on other posts), yet I still get this behavior more than half the time, on multiple computers.Any additional suggestions for resolving this issue? AE 25.3.0 Build 71iMAC 3.8ghz 8 Core i7GFX AMD RADEON Pro 5700 XT 16GBOS SEQUOIA 15.5 Hi all I am getting random 1 frame black flashed apperaing on previews and renders. Clearing out Cache and switching to draft/full quality doesnt cure it.If I reload the footage the black frame clears, but randomly appears somewhere else. Doesnt seem to be happening in the 25.4.0 BUILD 50 BETA

Isn't it about time Adobe fixed the fact that replacing footage does not retain the original footage's alpha interpretation? This has been broken for decades and is a major and constant annoyance when using AE as a development tool. I'm a 3D animator and am constantly updating sourced footage as I version up my renders during lookdev and final shot development. If I want footage to be interpreted with anything except a premultiplied alpha channel I have to reset this setting every time I iterate.  Every. Single. Time. Of course it's a complete no-brainer that retaining whatever settings were chosen on the original import of a piece of footage should be the default. To my knowledge there is no way to set this (other than the session specific "remember interpretation", which is an unsatisfactory and equally cumbersome workaround to setting interpretation manually each time). Please fix this.

Every version stuck on Splash screen.I've tried EVERYTHING!!!!I removed the plugins I removed the preferences I updated the windowsI updated the Graphics Driver I removed the fonts cache I deleted the cacheI removed the Creative cloud desktop and reinstall itI removed the App 5 Times and reinstall itMY PC Is a MONSTER Ultra 7 265K - RTX 4070 TI SUPER - 64G DDR5 RamWindows 11HELP PLEASE THIS ISSUE IS A REAL TIME CONSUMING DISASTER. 

The preview randomly freezes in After Effects. Sometimes it plays for a few seconds and then stops, even though the timeline keeps moving. The preview should play smoothly without freezing. The preview freezes at random points, and I keep getting frustrated with it, trying to restart my PC to even fix it.  CPU: Intel i9 14900KFGPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti (16 GB VRAM)RAM: 64 GBOperating System: Windows 11 (latest update)  

When i am replacing my image with another image from the project panel to the comp panel with alt pressing, sometimes i will be able to replace it, and most of the time i can't do it. Also, the parent and link option is causing issues.

When MacBookPro M3 Max wakes up from screensaver, plugin panels with modern UI like Motion4, Flow, MoBar change it's appearance - distort and scale up with blur, while older script panels like Rift with simpler UI stay the same. It only happens if After Effects is on secondary display (DELL P2715Q). When I hover with mouse over distorted panel, it's UI refreshes to normal state. Attached are screenshots with normal and distorted UI. 

Ok…weird. When We bring an audio file into AE, the duration listed of the file is wrong.In the screenshot attached, the audio file is 4secs, 11 frames.The project windows says it’s 5 seconds long(?).The Media and and out imply 4 seconds long (??)But if we make a comp of the audio file, the Project windows display’s the comps duration correctly. Nothing wrong or odd with the kHz settings, bit rate or frame rate - as far as I can tell.Brought the same audio file into Premiere, and the Project window in PP is correct.

Directly opening a project file (doubleclick or right click > open) while AE is not already opened, results in simply opening the app, not loading the project itself.I find this behaviour counter to expectations, and wish it would load the project as well, like all other Adobe apps do. Currently you have to open the project twice, once to load AE and once more to actually load the project.Is there some reason why AE does not do this?Is it a bug?(same behavior with zero plugins installed, consistent through all available modern AE CC versions)(Macbook Pro M1 Max)

My compositions no longer appear on Media Encoder when I try to export them from After Effects.Also when I try to add them manually from Media Encoder by browsing to the file, it gets stuck on "Connecting to project..."Also when I try to use "add to render queue" and then use the "queue in AME" button it doesn't work (after pressing this button nothing happens) AE Version 24.6.2 (Build 2)AME Version 24.6.1 (Build 2)

Bonjour! Il y a quelques semaines je suis passée d'un laptop à un Pc fixe plus performant. A chaque fois que je travaille sur des projets avec des effets (exemple CC particule, Bend it) le logiciel freeze, s'arrête instantannément ou met un message d'erreur. Bien souvent c'est le AfterFX.exe qui tombe en panne. J'ai déjà fait toutes les manipulations nécessaire : mise à jour des pilotes, installation et désinstallation, reboot, retour à Windows 10, retour aux version antérieurs d'After effect. This bug causes incorrect color space to be exported when working with ACES CG. The project must be set up for ACES workflow. ACES 1.2, 32-bit, ACES CG. I work with EXRs that are also in ACES CG and are interpreted correctly. If you export the composition and leave the color management in the export tab set to “Working color space - ACES CG,” an incorrect color space is exported, namely ACES 2065-1. To work around the bug, you have to explicitly select ACES CG for it to work. Thank you for fixing it. 

It is well known that not all effects work when working in 32-bit mode in After Effects. Some colour modes are also affected and cannot be used in 32-bit mode, because otherwise the highlights in the footage will be greyed out.However, this bug also affects Add mode. This was never the case before, but since the latest updates, it has become a bug. The last version where I used it correctly is 25.1. thank you

Hi, I'm using Ae version 23.2 and Animate version 23.0.1 (which I believe are the latest versions) however I am unable to import .FLA files into Ae. This appears to be a known issue in previous versions going back to threads in 2020 - surprised it's still an issue with the latest versions. In any case, can anyone help?  I have restarted my machine and also uninstalled / reinstalled both apps. Same error which reads as follows  'An error occured while importing this file. Please try again.' Ae tries to import the .FLA file for around 30 seconds before bringing up a box with this error message every time. (I've attached a screen shot). Please help 😉 

Hello, how are you? I am having a problem that I believe to be a memory leak, both in Premiere, but mainly in After Effects.Any simple task causes After Effects to consume all available RAM. For example, a simple animation of a shape's position without any effects attached consumes 23 GB. Can anyone help? I've never had problems like this before... I feel like I could do more when I had 8GB of RAM lolMy setup is a Ryzen 5 5600 | 32 GB RAM | GeForce 2080 graphics

In AE 2025, when I switch from an external app back into After Effects and try to click on a property in the Essential Graphics panel (e.g. a text field), there’s a delay of a few seconds before it becomes active.Thanks,Gali

Zoom dragging your mouse to the right and left should zoom in and out respectively. I'm not sure what happened in the latest update or if there's a shortcut that somehow inverts zoom drection but this has been driving me crazy. On windows, zoom works as it should in illustrator. It also works correctly on my macbook. So what's the deal? Is there a hotkey that inverts zoom direction? My Magnification settings are smooth, centered, and pans. These the exact same on my mac. 

Hi, in AE2025 if i export an image sequence the frame number it writes on the [####] part is relative to the number of the current sequence beeing exported and not the actual frame number in the comp/timecode. For example, if i send frame 16 of my sequence to render it writes as if it was frame 0000 in the sequence and not frame 0016.Is this a bug, a feature? How can i make it behave like before, it can be a crucial part in some workflows 

I'm using precomp with highlighter shape to highlight text (menu items in menu board). I also use master properties to animate gradient alphamask inside highlighter precomp to reveal or hide highlighter in the main comp. The problem is (and has been since AE v23 I think) that at random times some highlighters are blinking in preview, and also in the final render (they show and disappear, or blink rapidly). Sometimes cleaning cache helps, but not always. Sometimes importing project into new project helps, but eventualy problem reappears. Sometimes previously disappeared highlighter suddenly appears when I change text in some text object in a same frame as a highlighter. This bug is so inconsistent I don't know how to debug it. On my colleagues system it didn't appear, when I sent project for him to check. But I have had this issue on Intel iMac 2020, and also now on MacBookPro M3 Max so it shouldn't be hardware related. I have enabled logging today, and in the log file I

EXR file alpha channels are not being rendered correctly. Some frames will have empty alphas, some frames with only show a small strip at the top of the frame. The same projects work fine in 24.3.2. 

So recently AE has started needing to completely redo the whole ram prieview with any small change in the timeline. (including audio) It's painfully awful. I move 1 keyframe on a shape layer and eveything has to load into ram preview again, EVERYTHING. Over and over with any small change. It never used to do this. I've been using After Effects for 13 years professionally. I know my way around it well. Why is it doing this and how do I make it stop? I've tried everything i can think of from resetting preferences to disabling plug-ins. I'm runing the most recent version on a Powerfull PC. Latest version, all drivers and windows up to date. 

Hi, my timeline doesn't show time in seconds , it happened today, I've already tried to Ctrl+click on timecode , checked it in project settings, composition setting and display in preferences,  I don't know what to do , it is so annoying

The Microsoft.AI.MachineLearning.dll library (c:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CC\File Formats\Microsoft.AI.MachineLearning.dll) has version 1.17. This library runs the onnxruntime.dll library. Without the DevOverrideEnable registry key, onnxruntime.dll version 1.17 is used (c:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CC\File Formats\onnxruntime.dll). With this registry key, onnxruntime.dll version 1.22 is used (c:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects 2025\Support Files\onnxruntime.dll). Due to the large version difference, Microsoft.AI.MachineLearning.dll v1.17 and onnxruntime.dll v1.22 are incompatible. Hi there, the following behaviour has happened to me a few times the last days.I have an EXR Cryptomatte image sequence that works fine for the most part. The issue is that one specific frame shows black, as if the Cryptomatte effect is not affecting it.File size of that spefic frame is correct and it opens in photoshop normally -via Exr-IO pluging etc.AE, drivers, Windows and Mac (problem persists on both OS) are updated.Things I've tried:I imported that single frame -not as a sequence- and it works and acts fine (in fact I'm using this as the way to solve this issue, but it's a pain)I have tried replacing that frame with another one from the sequence (copied and renamed) and the problem persists -so it's not the actual frame it seems.Also tried with previous version of AE, problem persists.Thanks in advance for any help
