Hello, it´s been some time working with Character Animator, fine without any problems. Today suddenly all the artwork and some puppets appear like SMPTE color bars in all scenes. No internal error code appears. Please help I was about to finish this project, thank you very much for your time and support! Character Animator  Version  2025Macbook M3 Pro 

I have worked with the same puppet for nearly 2 years now with no problems. Then, last Friday, opening the puppet brings up an Internal error code.I have tried upgrading Character Animator, switching from normal to Beta, unistalling and reinstalling, starting a new project, creating a new puppet and leaving and coming back after a few days. I am still getting this error and don't know how to solve this problem.

I created a puppet using the Puppet Maker in Character Animator. I wanted to make changes to the mouth but "Edit Original" is not working. I click it and nothing happens.  As per a previous post, I have Creative Cloud plan and it automatically updates the apps.  I checked and I am up to date on all apps. According to my Creative Cloud Desktop - I have multiple versions of photoshop. I don't know if this is the issue. If it is, please let me know how to uninstall previous versions.

When I use the Character Animator "File" import function, none of my .ai or .psd show up as eligible for importing. The user documentation says it should, but it doesn't. So the this program is unusable for me.

I'm working with Version 2025 on mac and Version 2024 on Windows. This same issue occurs in both Windows 11 and Mac OS (M2 Chip), specifically with a Network Attached Storage ( Synology in my case)The Software works fine when saving files on Google Drive or Locally on either OS. But on Windows :It refuses to Export in the NAS, but otherwise it saves and edits on the NAS on windows just fine. This is the error -  On Mac :It refuses to open, edit any previously saved project on the NAS. It gives this errorSurprisingly, I can open the same files in Premiere Pro and Import the .chproj file in there and get exports from that to the NAS easily. I do not understand this confusing issues and i want to be able to save, edit, and export files on both OS from the NAS, just like other Adobe Products like Premiere pro, After effects, Photoshop etc.What am i encountering here ? I have used Character Animator in the past with no problems, but it has been about 6 months. Now whenever I load a project I get a message in the camera panel that says "waiting for camera". I have confirmed through the microsoft camera app that the camera is working. Any ideas? Steps to reproduce:    1. Hi When triggering a set to Cycle Layers, all my other layers disappear. Sometimes they end up cinvisible after the trigger and I can't make them reappear. Layer settings look normal on all the other layers so noit sure what's causing this.

This system is not very stable.

Hi there !  Not much to say about this little bug I found. I have a character with some of her faces who have a "nose" layer, here in my video it's only the "Right Profile 2" layer that contains that nose layer, and it automatically creates a tag "nose". That problem happens when I go to the Record menu, it seems like the whole face behaves as if that point was fixed. (For clarifications, I move my head when I return to the Record menu in the video) I do not use any nose related feature, so it's not a bother for me to erase that tag, but it's a kind of funny behaviour only for a nose tag... Last thing to say about this problem : it's not related to the handle itself, when I remove the "Nose" tag, it works fine. Here if you have any question regarding my character and its rigging.

I keep getting the same error. I'm about to give up on using Adobe Character. I updated the driver, but it didn’t work. I even formatted my computer, but that didn’t help either. None of the solutions I found online worked; the problem is with the Adobe Character program

After updating to 25.0 the app now only installs in Korean.I'm on a Macbook Pro 2018 13" and MacOS Sequoia 15.0.1.After updating and opening the app I found it was all in Korean language and not in English as it has always been until now. I live in Korea, however I'm Swedish so my Creative Cloud/Adobe interafaces and OS language are in Swedish and I have my default app installation language set to English as it is the most convenient language to use as I frequently look up tutorials online. I have tried reinstalling the app twice after rebooting my computer but it still installs in Korean. I have no idea what the source of this problem is as all my other Adobe apps updated to the 2025 version just fine and are still installed in English. Something with the localization settings must have been messed up in the new update? I do speak Korean, but it still impacts my workflow quite a bit.

I set up my audio interface(UA Apollo twin) and it records audio just fine, but there is no mouth movement in realtime or on playback, but on playback I can see and hear the audio recorded track underneath, just no mouth movement on my character. Did I miss something?

There is a bug with the calibrate and activate body tracker functions.  If I press the body tracker camera icon I'm instructed to look at the panel and press calibrate.  When I do it turns off the camera.  I tried pressing calibrate first which turns on the camera, but it won't calibrate.  I tried Calibrate - camara/tracker - calibrate and its still turns off the camera.  I've already restarted my computer and this is the latest 2025 version confirmed.  Mac OS, latest version.  

I'd appreciate any and all help in troubleshooting this issue that has been taking me days trying to fix. Basically, when I start recording, the playhead keeps stopping and going and recording choppingly. It is almost like it is being buffered, but that doesn't quiet make sense. I have the same problem with Adobe Audition. I did not have any issues until after I downloaded the 25th versions. Strangely, I have another computer on which I am running these same application versions and no problem there. Please help!

Hi guys !  I'm here to share an issue that can be fixed quite easily if animators know how to identify it, but for beginners, it could be quite disorienting. I uploaded several screenshots of an obvious fake paycheck, the first one on character animator if the rasterized puppet, the second is the layer as I built it with the text, shapes and rasterized layers on psd. As you can see, some shapes (systematically lines drawn via the pen tool) aren't showing up. The third screenshot is the psd file in the details and the last one is only the shapes that aren't showing up. I can provide you with that specific file if you want to go further into the analysis. As I said, it's definitely not a problem once you get to know that bug, but I think it's better to let you guys so it can be fixed and new comers to CA don't have to deal with that issue ! Have a great week ! PS : The details asked by the forum : - CA 2024- MacBook Air 2021 16GB

After I got the 2024 update, it seems my Transform tool has disappeared meaning it is non-existant, it is no longer showing in my puppets behaviors/ properties panel.

 Good morning everyone, please I don't know what is wrong.. all my saved project is showing this document icon and its not visible when trying to import back to CH or when I try to import to AE... Same thing happens when I save a new project, please I really need help been days and have restarted my PC and also the CH software.

I have been on with Adobe and Windows for HOURS. Neither of them has been able to solve this problem. When I open Character Animator, the camera square just says 'Waiting for Camera.' The camera is working in every other program outside of Adobe. The microphone is also not working. I've done a repair install for Windows 11, and everything is up to date. I've checked my other computer, and the program is working just fine. Something is going on with this one in particular. Hello, wy is it that if you simply change the name of the folder where your project is, you loose all your work?? Does that make any sense? Saving files is a very simple thing and I feel that Adobe somehow managed to get this very simple thing wrong!!

i am getting this when i try to load a puppet from start screen, I uninstall like 2 3 times I dl8 that file too clear cache too but same err

Hi all,I was calmly rigging new versions of tried and true puppets, albeit more complex ones, when suddenly Character Animator started crashing whenever I try to create a new scene in order to test the puppet. I first thought it was the latest puppet that was causing the issue, but after checking it over a few times (having to restart the program each time) and not finding red flags, I tried making a new scene with an already rigged puppet, already in a working scene, and that causes Ch to crash as well.Were there any new updates yesterday that might be causing this? Any fixes?Thanks!Using v24.6, Pro version, on Windows 11
