I started working in productions instead of single projects.So I put all my raw footage and the full sequences with raw footage in one project and the edit in another project - all in the same production. Usually I work with shortcuts very fast, especially "toggle source/timeline" to go back and forth from source to timeland and paste into timeline very quickly.But no when source footage and edit sequence are in different projects the "toggle source/timeline" button leads me to the project window instead of back to the source when I have edited some footage in. I tried to open the source in a seperate source-timeline instead and use toggle "timeline" shortcut, but its the same. To I loose the ability to quickly switch between source and timeline via shortcut when I work in productions across multiple projects?

For some reason, in the midst of editing, my audio just turned off. The green bars on the right side show audio playing, but nothing is coming out of my headphones.Yes, audio works in other parts of my computer, such as YouTube and Overwatch 2. Yes, I checked to make sure my audio output device was correct. I've restarted my computer, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and cleared my cache -- I've done everything I found on the Adobe help page and on Reddit. It's incredibly frustrating and I have no idea how to fix it!!!

Premeire Pro update 24.4.1 makes playback of .MXF files with Image Size: 3840 x 2160 Frame Rate: 59.94 unusably slow. I am on a PC with windows 11. 64 gb ram, i9-12900K and GeForce RTX 4070 with latest studio drivers. Footage was recorded with Canon R5C. Footage played smooth prior to update. Footage would basically not play after update. Footage plays smooth again now that I reverted to 24.3 version.

When I'm in Premiere and I queue something in media encoder it just sits there forever and doesnt do anything. I wrote to Adobe months ago about this. They told me: "Open media encoder, and go to settings or preferences and uncheck 'import sequence natively'.  Quit encoder and re open it. Now go back to premiere, hit export and press queue in encoder and it should work." It's not working.  in the time that I'm waiting for it to do anything or make any movement I could've already been 5 to 10 minutes deep into my export. It's a 16 minute sequence. I'm trying to have media encoder use the vimeo 1080 preset (which I change to 720). if I want to export the normal way without media encoder, premiere is saying the export will be 44 minutes long. I dont want to sit here for 44 minutes while premiere is locked up in an export. I could be color correcting shots while it runs throug encoder, if encoder would work. I created the file a few weeks ago, and everything was working perfectly. The rendering went smoothly, and the video of 25 seconds played in full. However, today it suddenly posed a problem with that same project file. I've ensured there is enough disk space and tried using both local and external drives. I've repeatedly rendered the workspace and the full sequence, but the problem persists. The rendered video does not play in full. It is the same problem in both in the "normal" and beta version. What triggers this sudden problem?

Hi, I have been having trouble since the latest update.It's like my mouse is not able to click and drag some clips.With some clips, there are no problems but mostly it's much harder to reposition or even delete clips from the sequence as keyboard is also having troubles.It's not just one project it's across all projects.Just to clarify my mouse works perfectly fine everywhere else including Photoshop and Adobe Affect Effects. 

It doesn't crash immedietly after I hit export, it crashes after it progress a little like 30%, 50%, 70%, nothing specific, and sometimes it completes the render as it should do after 2-4 crashes! I beleive I started getting these crashes after I upgraded my graphics card from rtx3070 ti to ASUS rtx 4080, 6 months agoI updated the app many times over the past 6 months, I tried reinstalling, deleting cache files, have latest drivers, pc updated.I'm still using the same export settings as I did before I upgrade the GPU (attached screenshots)Also, the video length is 24:32 seconds, not sure why its showing 49:05 (double) on the preview 🙂 it wasn't always like this. My PC specs:GPU: ASUS rtx 4080CPU: intel i9 13kM.b: asus TUF gaming z790 plus wifi D4Ram: n.e g.skill trident z 32gb

i have a problem with arabic text whenever i press backspace it deletes everything in the text file instead of deleting 1 letter, i tried pressing backspace once too in english and it only deleted 1 letter so i assume i only have this issue when i type in arabic because if i mistyped something i get to delete the whole thing instead

 i already restart my laptop, clear my cache, reset the app and it didn't work

Have a load of ProRes 4444. I can see the thumbnail when it's in the bin, but it's black on playback/nothing in a sequence. It won't playback on rollover when it's in the bin either.I'm on Win 2024.3.0. It plays back in After Effects, so it seems to be a local problem with Prem, rather than the system.Thanks.

Hello, people from Adobe, I'm only starting to learn video editing on Premiere Pro and applied to a course (a great one) to better understand the workings of proxies and make the editing flow a bit easier.I'm mainly trying to edit 2k at 60 frames, and 4k at 60/30 frames, both MP4 recorded in OBS. Once I play the 2k footage at full resolution, (without any proxies) it goes well,and If I play the 4k footage it does ok, and gets faster when doing the 1/8 downsize in the small Playback resolution dropdown at the bottom of the Program preview display.But I still wanted to try using proxies because when diving into a longer project, the number of unrendered footage, effects, and graphics applied add up, and can get heavier and harder on the computer. Besides 4k footage also takes a lot longer to render on the timeline.  So, I tried to use the ProRes 422 Low-resolution default proxy preset and also checked the blue toggle button and watermark. As the title says, I'm finding difficulties in attaching proxies in premiere. My workflow is: receive rushes the night, create proxies inside premiere with media encoder, leave it for the night, sync using pluraleyes next morning.The problem is that the synced media is not attached to the proxies and pluraleyes have this issue that it duplicates files inside of premiere project and creates a new sequence with synced media, but these media are not attached to the proxies. (Properties of both source and duplicate clips are down below)  When I try to attach the duplicate media to the proxies, premiere can't detect and relink others automatically. I've used different Match Files Properties inside of media browser (File name, Media start, File extension and Tape name) but nothing seems to work. I've also tried to consolidate duplicates hoping that premiere will keep the linked media but nothing gets consolidated since the source is used in the sequence that I've use

At our company we use Premiere Pro productions for all projects. One of the fundemental ways we use it, is by gathering raw material in one project within the production, so everyone in the production refers to the the same raw material project. In that way when people create their own project within productions, they only create sequences in their project, where they drop materiale on the timeline from the raw material project. In that way they can easily share sequences with each other without creating dublicates of the raw materiale within their own sequence projects.  We also use Multi-camera source sequences a lot and in PP2024, there seems to have been introduced a bug, that makes Premiere Productions unable to handle Multi-camera source sequences within Production in the way we used to work with it in PP2023. In PP2023 we were able to create multicam source sequences in the raw material project within Productions, and then drag those multicam source sequences onto

R3D files do not show thumbnails when viewed in Media Browser. Video appears when hovering over a clip and scrubbing, but when the mouse is not hovering over the clip the thumbnails disappear. Identical issue to this post from May 2023. Im Editing an School TV Brodcasting but alot of times the UI Lags and mouse bugs, this is very weird because I was using the 2022 version before and the UI Performs pretty well unlike the 2024. My spec: Macbook air M1 2020 8gb ram 7 core. Any solutions?

Installed v24.4.1. When the timeline is paused, only a black screen is displayed in the Program Monitor. The picture appears only during the timeline playback. On pause - black screen.If you zoom to 100%, the image is returned.I returned the previous version - everything is fine.

Hi! My 'effects panel' has somehow changed order automatically to being "upside down". This happened after I imported a bunch of new presets. Now the 'presets bin' has been put all the way down instead of being at the top and it annoys me a lot, because everytime I search for my presets I now have to also scroll all the way down to find them. Is there a way to fix this? I've tried to drag them to change order but it doesn't allow me to do so. This is how it looks now:

The network drive is mapped as "Z," yet Premiere sees both. Some footage connects to "Z" while others are mapped via the drive's IP address.I don't understand how some go as mapped to Z and others the IP. And also, if Windows sees the drive as Z, why does the Premiere default to the IP? This causes problems across multiple machines sharing projects as each time its opened the media is offline completely or just some is offline.  Makes no sense as to why some footage has a Z file path and others the IP.See the images below.
