While building a project I periodically import new media. In this newest version of the software 25.5.0 build 13, when I use the feature immediately after adding something to the timeline, it is creating a hidden dialog box. At that point I cannot proceed and must kill the software with task manager.
Hello Premiere Pro community! I have a problem with adobe modifying the contrast of my .HEIC files when exporting. Here I will attach a screenshot of the original .HEIC file (because I can't upload HEIC files here) and its properties and then screenshost of the exported video files (H.264 and ProRes 4444 XQ) so you can see the difference in the color of my skin. Now I will upload screenshots of the export settings of my H.264 video file and a screenshot from the resulting video. And here is the Apple ProRes 4444 XQ video looking different from the original photo and the H.264 video. I have tried exporting with different HDR color spaces, but this only takes away even more contrast from my photo. I will also attach the original file, both screenshots and the H.264 video file below, but there will be no preview I think. Could you please let me know if I am doing something wrong here or if this is just a bug from Premi
When working on a sports video for a client, I keep getting these glitched frames throughout the project. It happens everytime a camera flash happens on the footage. All the frames leading up to the flash are fine, but as soon as the flash happens, the glitch shows and it ruins the video product. And this is only happening in Premiere Pro. When I view the footage outside of Priemere, no glitches. For reference, I am working on:2022 Mac Studio M1 Max (Sequoia 15.6.1)Premiere Pro Version 25.5 I have tried everything I could think of, from deleting cache file, to transcoding the footage to Apple Pro Res 422, changing the sequences frame rate. Still no solution. I've attached some photos and a recording to show the issue. Hope someone can help, as this is causing issues for my company.
I am experiencing serious performance issues in Premiere Pro 2025 during heavy editing sessions. The application becomes extremely slow, frequently freezes, and sometimes stops responding entirely. These performance problems occur even in standard workflows and make the software unstable for professional use.
When i tried to render a file to a specific path it automatically saved in another path with another name.
I recently updated to version 25.4.1 of Premiere Pro, and I’m having an issue with the audio waveforms. It’s a bug that existed in previous versions, but now it’s happening a lot. The problem is that the audio waveform doesn’t generate correctly—when I look at the timeline, it shows an (incorrect) waveform, and only when I zoom in on an audio track does the correct waveform appear. How can I fix this? It’s horrible not being able to properly visualize the real audio waveform.
Premiere Pro Just Destroyed Three Weeks of Work — This Is UnforgivableI’ve been editing a professional project for nearly three weeks — countless hours of careful, detailed work — when Premiere Pro crashed without warning. And not only did it crash, it corrupted the project file in the process. No explanation. No recovery. Just the dreaded message: “The project appears to be damaged and cannot be opened.”Let me be absolutely clear: this is not a hardware issue. This happened to me before on a high-end PC, and now again on a powerful Mac. Plenty of RAM, GPU, and SSD storage. This is not the user’s fault — this is Adobe’s fault. In 2025, it is inexcusable that a software marketed as “industry standard” is still capable of corrupting entire projects without warning or protection. There is no professional justification for this kind of catastrophic failure in a program millions rely on for commercial, creative, and time-sensitive work.Adobe has known about these issues for years. Hello, for some time now my Premiere Pro has not been displaying the video playback on the pre-play screen and timeline, however I can still hear the playback.
Example: When I copy a constant power fade transition and try to paste to another audio clip - it pastes my last copied clip and not the transition itself. Normally I will copy a crossfade that I like and then quickly apply to other clips but cannot do that now for some reason. Attached screen recording. MacOS 15.7.1PP 25.5.0
I have many AE comps dynamically linked to my Premiere Pro projects. Some of them I created by selecting "Replace with After Effects Composition" some were created manually. The frame rates are the same for both the AE comp and the Premiere sequence. I have this issue in version 25.5.0 (Build 13) as well as version 26.0.0 BETA (Build 22) on Windows 11.Dynamic Link AE Comps in the timeline repeat the first frame of the composition causing the entire clip to be out of sync by one frame. I do not see the first frame repeat when viewing the comp in the source viewer nor is it present when viewing the comp in After Effects.I have had this issue on two different machines.
Choosing "interpret footage" on a video clip with multiple audio channels and changing the frame rate, only changes the duration of the first audio channel. All other audio channels in the clip will retain their original duration (and will gradually drift out of sync with the video). This happens on Premiere Pro 2025.x. Rolling back to 2024.5 solves the problem.
Hello Adobe,I'm experiencing severe performance degradation in Premiere Pro (latest stable v25 and Beta version). The problem appeared suddenly overnight without any significant changes to the project—only basic cuts were made, and no new effects or heavy elements were added. Each interaction (selecting clips, scrubbing, cutting, playback, etc.) causes the software to freeze, showing a persistent "Not Responding" message lasting several seconds. This makes editing practically impossible. My system specifications:OS: Windows 11 ProCPU: Intel(R) Xeon(R) W-3235RAM: [Please insert RAM capacity here]GPU: NVIDIA RTX [Please specify model here]Steps already attempted without success:Creating proxiesRemoving all effectsClearing media cache and preview filesResetting Premiere Pro preferencesComplete uninstallation and reinstallation (including Beta version)This issue appeared overnight without any notable project changes aside from basic timeline cuts—no additional heavy effects or footage import
Hello, I'm an editor for a commercial company, and I've recently had a major memory issue with Premiere Pro Ver 25.5 on my Mac computer. I thought I had too much media on my project file when a Memory Limit pop-up appeared on my computer, and it enlisted that my project file was 108 GB. I tried making a new premiere project folder and copying over only the intended pieces of media, but the pop up came up again an hour later, even though the folder says the project is 7 MB large compared to the prior 12 MB large file. I tried clearing old media cache and allocation more RAM to Premiere (12/18 GB to 14/18 GB), and nothing changed. I didn't add any plug ins or anything that'd add memory to the project file. I've tried most google suggestions, but nothings changes, and I'm trying to avoid getting a larger processor, is there anything else I can do to fix this?
Hi Adobe Community, I'm experiencing consistent freezes when exporting projects using CUDA acceleration with my new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070. This occurs in both Adobe Premiere Pro and Media Encoder. Bug Report Details: Product(s) Affected: Adobe Premiere Pro (25.2) Operating System: Windows 11 Pro GPU: ASUS Prime GeForce RTX™ 5070 OC Edition 12GB GDDR7 GPU Driver: NVIDIA Studio Driver (Latest version available at the time of this report) Issue Description:Since upgrading to the ASUS RTX 5070, Adobe Premiere Pro freeze during export when CUDA acceleration is enabled. The application becomes completely unresponsive at a random percentage of export progress. No error message is displayed, and no crash logs seem to be generated. The application process cannot be terminated via Task Manager, forcing a full PC restart. HI,I'm exporting a 50 second section of my timeline and it says rendering 144 audio clips. It also says 5 hours to export (this goes down eventually) but it still takes far too long to export and is the same bug we had a few versions ago.Premiere 25.5 build 13Apple M2 Max 96Gb RAMSonoma 14.7.3
Hey not sure if anyone else is experiencing this issue , when I export in Premiere Pro and encoder I get two separate files that save as AAC file and one being a M4V file. Instead of me getting one file with a MP4 file...I get these two that doesn't play anything. Probably 2 weeks ago I was exporting movies fine with files exporting as MP4
I'm just trying out Premiere 25 and despite all the bad choices in it over v24, I am generally liking the slightly speedier timeline. However, the one huge oversight is when I grab all the clips right of my cursor to move around, it's so damn laggy and slow. Please fix this.(mod edit: P thread)
Greetings. I'm having an issue where text justification of a paragraph is changing when I add a mogrt to my timeline. Examples below. From After Effects, this is a simple, placeholder disclaimer mogrt. I created this block using box text and the paragraph justification set to "Last Left". This is the preview from the Graphics Templates tab of the exported mogrt in PP, showing that the justification is still appearing to be "Last Left". Upon dragging the mogrt to a timeline in PP to edit the text, the paragraph justification automatically changes to "Justify All", creating these big ugly gaps between the words on the last line of each paragraph. I have not included any settings to alter or make this sort of change within Premiere, but no matter what I try, the paragraphs keep defaulting to this style. Can anyone help me solve this issue?
When I open Premier Pro v25.5.0 it does not respond. I just get a rotating circle and have to force quit. I am using a Macbook pro 16GB running Sonoma 14.5. I have cleared out the cache and reset preferences. But it is still crashing. Can anyone help? many thanks Hayley
PPro has created an edit window with two LOCKED frames displayed, and no way to get back to the sequence. I was trimming 4 frames from the audio track and the whole system just froze and is displaying two frozen framed in the edit display window. TRying to close out project and nothing is responding. ERROR MESSAGE: Adobe Premiere Pro 2025 is NOT responding. The latest version seems to be very buggy with multiple issues. % minutes and the system has not recovered. Still in Adobe Recovery mode. Running Windows 11 with GeForce GTX 1660

I thought this was an early stage bug, but it's been present since launch. Inside the Create Captions dialog, selecting "0 frames" leaves gaps between caption segments. Has been a bug since Captions was introduced. Bug occurs with all frame rates (23.976, 24, 25, , 29,97, etc.). There is no built in way to eliminate gaps in Captions, aside from manually dragging each clip edge. Solutions below: 1. Selecting "0 frames" should result in 0 frames of gaps2. Add Sequence > Captions > Close Gaps dialogAuto-extends each caption segment to hit the next caption segmentIf last caption segment, do not extend3. Add Timing dialog inside Text > Captions panelStopwatch symbol next to the pencilModeled after Aegisub Timing Post-ProcessorOptions for: Lead-in/lead-out, make adjacent captions continuous
