Creating a video to advertise a car for sale. Stupidly forgot to obscure the licence plate whilst taking the footage. But figured it was easy enough (in previous versions) to add a gaussian blur and crop or opacity effect to mask the required area. That bit was easy problem came when I tried to track the mask forward keyframes - it would silently fail everytime with the annoying exclamation mark.ChatGPT gave me numerous methods to fix this but nothing worked. So for my final fix I reversed the sequence and tried tracking the mask backwards and it worked everytime. So I don't know if this is a bug or the new Premiere philosophy; Broken when stepping forwardStable when stepping backward But in all seriousness 2025 is the worst version I've ever used, frequent crashes, hangs, unexpected behaviour, keyboard commands not working, effects not working - it's been genuinely horrible to use. As soon as this project is finished I will downgrade to 24 and see if thats bett
Every time I start typing, the font changes from whatever I've set it to, back to "Montserrat Light", which is also not my default font in preferences. Here is a screenshot showing the font I've set a text box to above, and then what happens when I start typing again. It happens across the board, no matter what kind of text and what font I initially use.
Product/version: Adobe Premiere Pro 25.4 and 25.4.1 (buggy). All earlier versions (≤25.3) work correctly.OS/Hardware: macOS Sonoma (Apple Silicon/Intel), RAM [ ], GPU [ ]. Issue:In 25.4 and 25.4.1, dragging media into Essential Graphics media placeholders no longer works. Expected behavior:Dragging a file from Finder or the Project panel onto a placeholder should replace the media. Actual behavior (25.4/25.4.1): Drag-and-drop: Fails silently (ignored).Replace from Finder (right-click → “Replace with Clip” / or using the file picker): ✅ Still works normally. Steps to reproduce: Open a project with a MOGRT that has a media placeholder.Select the graphic in the timeline so the placeholder shows in Essential Graphics.Drag a PNG, JPG, or MP4 from Finder or Project panel into the placeholder.Nothing happens (in 25.4/25.4.1).Roll back to ≤25.3 → drag-and-drop works normally. Notes: Regression introduced in 25.4.Verified on multiple fil
Hello everyone! Been having this problem for a while, and because of that I can't update to the newest version of Premiere since they disabled choosing to work with "Mercury Playback Engine Software Only" My workflow have been creating proxies and storing them in a external sd (Samsung T7 Shield - 2TB), while I keep my footage in an internal fast SSD. My footage is in 4k, my cliente records in OBS and then send it to me. If I use "Mercury Playback Engine Software Only", the playback is smooth, no problem at all, both in my proxies and in my timeline. But if I change to GPU Acceleration the playback becomes horrible. Anyone know why that might be happening? Usually I have to edit the project using "Mercury Playback Engine Software Only" and then when its time to render I change to CUDA because it's faster Every new Premiere update I try updating to see if something fixed, but so far nothing. I have been using version 25.1 Any help would be appreciated
Like the screenshots show and the title says. I opened up PPro after a windows update and now i get a load of errors. I even get a "membership" kind of error which is a bit out of left field. I tried renaming the Public Documents folder to 'Documents' that seemed to work only for eliminate the first screenshot but Im still getting a generic error which doesnt help at all. I have a client waiting on footage and need to fix this ASAP. Any work arounds?
Following an updatete to Pr Pro 2025 the sequence playback freezes or advances erratically. The playback head continues as does the timecode. Hello Friends, When I import a .mp4 video file into my project and place it on the time line the audio doesnot come with the video. If I double click on the file it will open in the preview window and I can play it with the audio. If I try and place it in the time line the audio will still not come in. I tried the clip in my 24.0 version of Premiere and didnt have a problem with the video clip with the audio loading on the time line. Any suggestions? Thanks. Tyler
When I go to replace the footage on a 60fps MOGRT graphic in a 60fps sequence with 60fps footage the "In Point" time selector acts as though it is 30fps and often doesn't allow me to select the exact frame I want but after messing around with it a bunch and usually restarting the program it works as intended on any that were already in the sequence but new ones added still have this bug 1.) Load up a 60fps MOGRT with replaceable footage2.) Replace the footage in the properties pannel3.) Change the in point either by mouse dragging or typing in a value and it will act as 30fpsShould display as 60fps like everything else or like it does on occasionWorked as 30fps in point would No pluginsGpu: Nvidia Geforce RTX 4070ti, Cpu: 13th Gen Intel Core i5-13500, Ram 64gbPremiere Pro 25.5, Windows 11 Pro 24H2

I am trying to add music from the browse tab under essential sound to my video, but it does not display any results no matter what filters or moods I select. It does not even display results when I have all filters cleared. What is going on here? Has anyone else dealt with this? This is the version 25.5 on Windows 11
Hi guys, wondering if anyone can help me out. So I use a Apple MacBook Pro M3 laptop with the lastest software updates for my laptop and Premiere. I'm in film school and now I'm doing editing for a student documentary film group project using BlackMagic video files (BRAW). I have no problem importing, storing and playing the files its just that suddenly I get a pop up message saying "Sorry, an unexpected error occured". I go to get a report on why it happens but I can't get that but when I click okay on the pop up it closes the project which could be very costly for me even though I short cut save after every little thing I do. Is there anyone who can help with this? I would really appreciate any help I can get. Thanks.
hello. I need a workaround regarding dynamic links in premier pro. When I press Replace with After Effects Composition in Premier Pro or Create New Composition in Dynamic Link, Premier Pro freezes and loads infinitely. I'm a macbook user.I've tried most of the methods posted in the community, but I still have the problem.I've tried 1. clearing cache, 2. resetting preference, 3. resetting workspace.4. uninstalling and reinstalling premiere pro and after effects. 5. replace audio input with no input6. set project lock in project settings. 7. save the project as a local folder and set the path to English. 8. switch off your computer. 9. log out of CCIf you've tried everything, the Dynamic Link in Premier Pro will freeze. How can I fix it?...
Exports run as normal with Max Render Quality selected, but it has no decernable affect on quality of output. Primary use case is exporting UHD sequences at HD. The sequences contain some assets that are upscaled in motion settings on the timeline and then subsequently downscaled as part of the export. Previously using Max Render Quality has functioned similar to AE's continous rasterization and subsequently exports of upscaled-then-downscaled source material show no quality loss compared with the original source file. However, in the current version there is a noticable quality drop as if Max Render Quality has not been checked. Hello everybody, unfortunately I need to open this topic back up after last time this issue was quickly (and wrongly) dismissed as user error and instantly moved to discussions. Since then I've been contacted by multiple users asking me if I ever resolved this issue, and I'm still experiencing this on day-to-day usage, here it is again with a test project for easier testing: Issue - When on exporting from any resolution to lower resolutions, punched-in footage only loses resolution. Premiere is SO frustrating!! Text based editing doesn't always work in 2025 that's why I only use 2024. BUT, those bastards just updated 2024 and now text based editing stopped working! You can't win with Adobe. They gladly pick your pocket, though. I used to be able to highlight text and press . (period key) to add to timeline. Nope. No more. Yes, all my tracks are selected in the timeline. Yes, auto set in/out points is on. The only way to make it work is to leave Transcript window, go to Timeline and press . Such a waste of time.Adobe, quite breaking stuff!
After receiving feedback on our assets we noticed that .heic files were unexpectedly rotated. I immediately checked the handling on Win vs Mac and it seems that Premiere on Windows (and/or Win itself) ignores this metadata. Therefore it is currently impossible to work with these files in teams with Win+Mac based workstations. Our current workaround is to pre-convert the images to a new format but this isn't ideal. Any chance this can be addressed in Premiere/AE?
Very obscure bug with Text panel. The z-index order for the Action menu falls behind the "Replace with:" search box. I only see this happen in the Text > Graphics panel. On MacOS. Not sure if present on Win.
Currently on version 24.6.0, Build 86, Windows 10. In addition to auto-selecting text on the timeline when text is highlighted, the Text Panel can also move the playhead to a specific word's position when clicked. For example, if the text is: "The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog" and I click without dragging on the word "jumped", the playhead will move to the moment on the timeline where the word "jumped" is said. The problem is, the position the playhead jumps to is in audio time units, not frames, even when "Show audio time units" is deselected. This means, if I click on "brown", manually place an in point, then click on "lazy", and manually place an out point, then do an Extract edit, there will be a gap between the two clips, since the "in" and "out" points were placed on samples, not frames. To be clear, clicking and dragging while "Automatically set in/out points" is selected does not have this issue, it will cut on frames as expected.&nb
Hi, I’m having an issue with the voice-over recording feature in Premiere Pro 25.When I arm the track (R) and click the microphone button, I can see the input levels moving and I can hear my mic monitoring during the recording. However, when I stop the recording, no audio clip is created on the timeline.Interestingly, if I record for less than one second, a very short audio clip does appear. But if the recording lasts longer than one second, nothing is saved at all.I’ve already checked:.My input device is set correctly in Preferences > Audio Hardware.Track is armed for recording.Audio capture location in Project Settings > Scratch Disks is set to a local folder. The meters move, so the mic signal is detected correctly. But the problem persists. My microphone does work and can be recorded in other programs like Audacity so my mic doesn't seem to be the problem. My mic is a Shure MV7+. You'll find a video recording of me showing the issue. Has anyone else experie
help!
I am working on a feature film with multiclip sequences as rushes because premiere forgets the audio metadata using merged clips. But premiere at random forgets the audio video link in the timeline.Nothing to do with linked selection. It is driving me crazy!!!!
i have been trying to record a voice over but it wont save the voiceover because the timeline skips ahead a few frames every few seconds
