I cannot open a jpg-document in Bridge as "Open in Camera RAW"
I have an OLD version of photoshop (v12) that doesn't support my .NEF (raw) files from my new Nikon Z6ii. The Camera Raw plug-in is v6.7. I downloaded the latest camera raw plugins from the Adobe site and installed them, but i'm still getting an error.--> Is my version of Photoshop to old to ingest the newest Camera Raw plug-ins? I'm using Windows 10. Here's some of the system info. from Photoshop:Adobe Photoshop Version: 12.1 (12.1x20110328 [20110328.r.145 2011/03/28:10:30:00 cutoff; r branch]) x32Operating System: Windows NTVersion: 6.2
When I use Denoise on RAW images, the images are putting strange squares on the DNG once it is created. this was after the latest update on both mac and adobe lightroom. I've spent HOURS on adobe customer service, don't know how to fix this. I love that feature.
T Adobe DNG Converter command line interface documentation, it says `-jxl_distance 0` means losslessI did my test on a 24MP RGB raw image, when using `-c -jxl_effort 9`, the output is ~80MB, takes ~2s, when using `-jxl_distance 0 -jxl_effort`, the outptut is ~50MB, takes 20s. Why is there a difference? Are they 100% equivalent?
camera raw not work selection subject people
This used to happen one in every few hundred, now it's happening to every one in 5-10 max. It is getting beyond frustrating, having to redo every image again. Does anyone know why and how to stop it? I did find another post, and tried what she was told, but it didn't stop it happening for me.
Help! Read loads of stuff on this but still can't get my raw files to download on to lightroom. I'm a total rookie having just started with lightroom so any help is much appreciated. My raw files are supported by lightroom: CR2 from my Canon 1Ds Mark II. Do I need to dowload the Camera Raw plug in to make it work? Files seem to be downloading but then after a few minutes it just fails.
I am unable to make Lightroom read the Crop Mode (software/user one) that was used when shooting an image. This I know works fine for Canon and Leica products in LR but not with X1D it's just not working.I have verified that this information is present in the 3FR files and also saved by LR when converted into DNGs.It's in MakerNoteHasselblad > Unknown_0x0059Of course the "workaround" is to use Hasselblad's Phocus software - but as it seems so easy to implement I want to request that it gets looked into.
would love to not have to cross the screen and back every single photo edit...
I was getting great results when editing Nikon D850 and iPhone raw files in ACR, exporting into AVIF HDR (with Display P3 profile). I used the "Convert and Save" button at the upper right corner of the ACR window. But then I upgraded to the latest version of ACR (16.5.0.1953). Now, when I convert the same files, using the same settings, the AVIF versions only display as SDR, when viewed in Chrome, Photoshop, or GraphicConverter. Nothing else was changed - only the upgrade to ACR 16.5. If I export to PNG or TIFF, the files display correctly in HDR. It is only AVIF files that are affected. When I examine their metadata, certain HDR records are missing, which were present in the AVIF files exported from ACR 16.4. All my ACR and Photoshop settings are as recommended for HDR output, in tutorials by Eric Chan, Greg Benz, and others. I tried the usual remedies: rebooting, deleting ACR preference file, cache flush, etc. Is anyone else seeing this? If not, is it possible that my i
Hello all, I'm running the latest Brisge/camera raw/photoshop updates available today (9/16/2024) and I have found that when I have open 15-20 images to process, after working for a few minutes I find things get slow (crop and other adjustments) start getting laggy. Files are DNG converted Sony A7rIV (not lossy compressed)PC is running Windows 11 (latest updates)NVME SSD'sRyzen 7 7700x64g ramRadeon RX6600 8gig (latest drivers)No other apps running (not even photoshop at the time) Usually things work just fine but this happens on occasion. I don't see Bridge/Camera Raw using more than 35% cpu. CPU is not running hot and throttling down. I'm trying to figure out what I can do to minimize the slow down. I can load less images at a time but in the past I haven't really seen this even with more raw images open for processing in Camera Raw.Any Ideas or similar experiences?
hi there can i set custom hotkeys in adobe camera raw?

Hello all! So I ran into this weird problem, when I used Bridge/ACR on an older MacPro with Mojave the other day. I was editing RAW files from my Nikon D810 which worked totally fine, certainly fast enough to be a pleasurable experience.Later I worked on RAW files off a Nikon D7100, which was absolutely horrid. Camera Raw kept slowing down with spinning beach ball and being unresponsive for several seconds. I would have assumed that those D7100 files, being smaller than those D810 files, would have worked even better and faster. How is it possible that Camera Raw is this picky, especially when the files should have put even less strain on the CPU?Doesn't make sense! I hope somebody out there has an idea, because when things are bugging me, I want to get to the bottom of it 🙂 Thanks 🙂 Ginger
I find that the User Guide under Adobe Creative Cloud Learn & Support are way out of date. ACR has had so many changes in recent years that the documentation is mostly useless. I have been using ACR for years and (mostly) following along with the changes - I can only imagine how frustrating it must be for anyone new to ACR who consults the documentation.Specifically I wanted to brush up my understanding of Presets and Profiles. It has been a number of years (and many versions of ACR) since I last built a default preset for my camera. And I have also been playing with creating a camera profile. So I went to the read the online documentation for these topics, and wow - it's so old it bears no resemblance to the application anymore. If anyone knows of any 2024 relevant documentation for ACR Profiles and/or Presets I would appreciate a point in the right direction. Thanks,Peter
I'm trying to use the lastest DNG converter cmd to generate JXL DNG for my raw files. I'd like to encode with -lossyMosaicJXL, but setting -jxl_distance doesn't not work with it. Is there a method to set the distance for it? Thanks.
As the title says, after a while of using Camera RAW my entire notebook freezes to the point that even the sound remains in an infinite loop of a few thousandths of a second. When this happens I can't fix it in any way other than holding down the power button on my notebook, thus losing all the editing I've done. This problem appears faster when I am using auto-detect masks (subject, sky, background, objects) I'm writing this after opening a photo and doing only two automatic masks, first I selected a luminance range and then I wanted to automatically select the subject and this happened I had just opened Photoshop and didn't open anything other than that one image I was working on. My notebook is an Asus X542ur, it has an Intel i5 7200u, an Nvidia GeForce 930mx, 20gb of ram, 1TB SSD, and Windows 10 Enterprise I've already tried reinstalling, changing settings, switching to older versions of Camera RAW and Ph
It is really frustrating that Camera Raw closes the other setting tabs when you open a one. It is very impractical that you can't have multiple sections open at once. It gets quite tedidous to open and close those tabs to make tiny adjustments. I can't understand how a company with resources of Adobe can constantly break this kind of basic usability stuff.
To recreate bug: Part one: normal editing. Edit a photo in LR. Edit in Photoshop, using layers, adjustment layers etc. Save / close Go back to LR. Part two: further edits. Edit PSD photo more in lightroom using select Subject Mask / Select Background mask. 'Edit in Photoshop' Generative expand background. Save / close. Return to LR and find this: Once this happens AI masking can't be used with the image. its consistently masks the image incorrectly, and the only way to resolve this is to delete the image and start over again.
Hay forma de desactivar la búsqueda de personas automática en las máscaras de Camera Raw?
When we edit i camera raw we can select subject, sky and background to name a few masking options. i was out last saturday taking photos in a pine forrest with mist. I got green chromatic aboration amongst the branches which had the white mist background but when removing it it also effected the green growth on the ground such as blueberry bushes. The masking tool is very intelligent these days and it would be great if we could be more selective on where to remove chromatic aboration rather then just a global removal tool.
Hey there, I hope you can help me with this, it's driving me insane. I noticed the problem first when shooting into a blue sky with clouds at a wedding, then I saw the problem on a table the next shoot as well. Now I checked with a white wall and found that Lightroom actually does this to my newly picked up Tamron 17-70 2.8 (on a Fuji XT-4) I'm having crazy rings and vignetting with the Tamron lens, first thought it's the lens, but it's Lightroom adding the crazy rings. Since when I'm importing there's nothing, but when i hover over the image and select it, it takes a second and then Lightroom adds them to the picture, as if it where implementing a lens correction, but horribly wrong. Turning off Lens Profile / Correction doesn't do anything, once it's there it's there. Also the JPEG looks fine, it's only the raw file. Attached are the two images, it's easy to tell which one is the JPEG sooc and which is the RAW file out of Lightroom with the "vig
Someone knows how to add MFT (Micro Four Thirds) lenses to Lightroom / Camera Raw? It is necessary if you get the raw file from Raw Digger or other extractor
