Hello, How can I enable the correct answer to be shown if the learner answers the question wrong?

Hello there fellow Captivate users. I am running into an issue with my advanced action breaking, and thus my slide is not working, so hoping someone can help me! I am running Captivate 11.8.3.8 on Windows 10.I have a slide with 8 click objects, 8 indicator arrows working with those objects, and one text multistate object which interact with an advanced action:I renamed all of them so that I can find the objects and build the advanced action, which does the following:- Change the state of the text object to one of its 8 states- Change the state of the current click object to selected- Reset the state of the other 7 click objects to normal- Show the indicator arrow of the current click object- Hide the other 7 indicators BUT when I save the advanced action, the names of Indicators 6, 7 and 8 change to 2, 3 and 4!(I was even sometimes struggling to find number 8 from the list available, and had to type out the name in order to get to it, not sure if this is a bug or just th

Hope all is keeping well! I'm new in captivate and worked on few projects for a software simulation and its working well but got a feedback regarding the screen resolution if its possible to have a bigger one. I'm publishing projects at 900x675, no TOC and no playbars and I believe its working well with different students but I know it will really depends on their laptops display settings and the browser they are using if its on 100% zoom. My current display is 1920x1080 and I'm happy with my view on the LMS Site But having thought of it, if I would like to publish upcoming projects on higher resolution. What would be the best resolution to use? Im currently looking for - 1280x720 (16:9) a wider one or - 1280x960 (4:3) which I believe has similar ratio with my current project. How do you think this will affect the look on the LMS Site as well as every student? Will it still be flexible resolution for every individual? I'm just avoiding the scrollbars to appear on the browsers but

Is there any plan to offer Captivate as part of the paid Creative Cloud All Apps package.  I understand that Captivate is much more than just a simple screen recorder but this is available on so many free/open source programs. I would think that it would be used a considerable amount from within Creative Cloud while using Adobe products.

I was really hoping this new Captivate would be the Articulate killer and integrate nicely with other Adobe products, the ability to design slides by moving content wherever I wish, but no this is simply a template driven piece of software which lacks a ton of features. Shame

(Captivate 7)I want a slide to contain a looping slide show of photographs.  I don't want to do this as an animated .GIF because the resolution isn't good enough, and I don't want to do it as a .SWF because I want it to work on Mobile.  My only choice seems to be to create a .MP4 and insert that, but then I'm not given the "loop" option.

I've recently got Captivate Classic installed after having Captivate 2017.  I've imported audio to a new project.  The audio won't play in the timeline.  Yes, the little audio icon is not muted.  The audio also won't play in closed captioning/edit window.  The time line marker won't even move ahead.  If I play the preview (F8) it won't play there either.  The only time it plays is if I use Preview Project.  This is the same for all my previous Captivate files that were originally created in Captivate 2017 and opened in Captivate Classic. I have tried exporting the audio files, renaming them and importing them back in without any success. To be honest Captivate has become more and more frustrating!   Any ideas?

I created a simple course in Captivate 12. There are just half a dozen slides with no animation or anything, one slide plays a Youtube video. On the final slide there is a "Finish" button that is assigned the interaction "Exit Course" on Click/Tap. When I preview on my computer, the course plays correctly and when I click Finish, the tab in my browser closes. When I upload to ScormCloud, the course plays correctly and when I click Finish, the tab in my browser closes and the status is marked as Complete. When I upload to AbsorbLMS, the course plays correctly, BUT, when I click Finish, nothing happens. It just sits there, when I finally give up waiting and close the window I get a warning that the course isn't complete yet, and when I close, the course is marked as In Progress. I've tried Tincan and Scorm and got the same results either way. I have had several users experience this, two of them, the course completion status changed to Complete 4-6 hours later. Seems to be a common problem. Been through a few hours of wasted time trying to troubleshoot this. Two different computers. Both on Windows 11 and with modifications. The most recent, an i7-12700 w/ Nvidia 3060 6GB VRAM and 40GB system RAM. All other Adobe products work (outside their usual idiocyncracies) although it takes 10 minutes to launch CC these days... Captivate demo does as many say. It opens, clicking activate closes it, it pops up again within about 10 seconds, we go through this three or four times and the program shuts down. This seems to be a persistent issue since release and even support has no answers. Is this still true? Because I can't find one and I don't mind digging through my directories. The return on investment here is quickly fading. After 30 or so years, Adobe is feeling quite stagnant if this is the quality we've come to expect for the cost...

Hi there, is there anyway to get rid of this Sidemenü by accessing a Scorm Package from Captivate in Moodle?I know i can klick on < and it closes but its design is too old and i rather dont see that. PS: I cant use the new Captivate becouse this is about an old project, which i am trying to adapt in Moodle. best regards

I need some help.  I am having issues working with software simulations while using Mac OS.  Captivate is not recognizing my security settings.  At first I thought it was a warning as it appears to be working.Unfortunately, nothing happens.  Does anyone have an idea what is going wrong?I have 2 Macs. One is running Sonoma 14.4.1 the other is running Monterry 12.7.4.  The issue is the same on both.  While I was typing this I had been trying to record a simulation.  The countdown starts, then nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you 

Hi everyone. My team and I used Captivate 12.3 to build a course. We didn't know there were a million versions of Captivate that were good for different things. We just used the default program on the site. We used it because we need to convert the files to an elearning option via SCORM. It has taken a month or 18 hour days to build this thing.   I now have 10 separate cpt files. Originally I thought maybe I could branch each CPT Together somehow, but because we are selling the course itself, and wont be managing it, we need to combine it all into one file. Each module is about 10GB (roughly). Lots of video.  When I copy and paste one class into another, it keeps crashing. That's after just trying to merge module 1 and 2. We have ten. We can't rebuild the whole thing from scratch. What can we do? Any ideas?

Anyone else getting a fatal error any time you run a spell check in Adobe Captivate? I had been using Captivate 2019 and experienced the error. Then I had Captivate Classic installed on my device this week and hoped the error would stop, but it still happens. Any ideas?

Hi, my edited Classic published course suspends during the quiz and the screen goes white. I can still hear the audio playing but can't progress from that point. Contains a lot of advanced actions created by someone else. Any advice?

Hi All, hope all is well.  Im working on a project where I would need to add a back button to go back to the previous slide, I wanted it to be hiding and goes on when roll over and stays for the rest of the project. I've added an image as button and set the action to go to the last slide visited and also tried go back to the previous slide. However, it doesnt work as intended as it triggers the failure from the click box on the same slide. It works if there are no clickbox on the slide. Can someone please suggest a solution. Thank you. Please see attached video of whats happening. Cheers

I am trying to email a Captivate 2019 variable, "cpquizinfopointsscored".  I have tried all the javascripts found in my searches, but none work.  Here is my current script....var email="setname@mycompany.edu"; var subject="Final Score";var myscore=window.cpAPIInterface.getVariableValue("cpQuizInfopointsscored");var body_start="Final Score:%20";var body_end=myscore;var mailto_link='mailto:'+email+'?subject='+subject+'&body='+body_start +body_end;win=window.open(mailto_link,'emailWin');This is in Advanced Actions. The user clicks on a Click Box to run the script and open an email ready to just hit send. I defined “myscore” as a user variable.First off, no matter what script I run I get…. And the email does not open. I have tried various scripts, sometimes the email will pop up but the “myscore” is not populated, just say myscore. I’m not familiar with javascript so I just basically copied and pasted ones I have found and replaced with my info.I use the cpquizinfopoints

Hi, I am new here and it shows. Using the latest Captivate, I created a drag and drop where I am asking a student if the statement is "not a problem, somewhat of a problem, or a big problem." Any of those answers will do. I do not want all three to be correct or one correct over the other. Is this the wrong interaction to use for this engagement? Is there another option for basically asking survey type questions where I do not need to see the choice? Thank you and I did do a search before asking.

I want to use the VTML commands to give more nuance to the Neospeech voices I use. Where should the commands be typed? I tried entering them in the Speech Management section on each slide, but the voice just reads the VTML command.

Can I put the label, input field, and button on the same line?

Hello,I used a tab widget on one of my slides and want a different voiceover audio depending on the tab that you click on. I saw posts on here saying to set the success caption but I am using the newest version of Adobe Captivate and do not see a sucess caption option. Is there a work around way to do this? For some reason in the interactions of the slide, I am unable to utilize the three buttons from the tab to add if/else conditions to make them play audio.Thank you!

Is there a way to remove the play button and autoplay HTML content for Captivate 2024?

I am building in 12.3.I have 4 images in a row with text beneath. I've animated the images to slide in, the text under the image slldes in just after the image. There is a voice over which gives a bit more detail to the text under the images. I did have individual voice overs for each bit of text, but in the preview it was hit and miss whether it would work. So I have spent the afternoon, making one voice over per slide and positioning the animation to fit with the voice over. It worked a treat 2 hours ago, however I've just checked my file and it's hit and miss as to whether the images and text appear when they should or if they even appear at all.I have a deadline and I really need it to work, what is going wrong?I'm viewing in Microsoft Edge.Thank you for any help that you can give me.

After installing the new version of Captivate, I am not able to create a new file anymore.It gets an infinit loading screen, without any chance to continue. Nevertheless I am still able to load existing Files, which gives me an workaround using an empty save file and start working there. Unfortunately it breaks the entire Software Simulation Tool. I can do the screenrecording, but the moment I press 'end' and it tries to put it in Captivate an error occurs. (attached) Thanks in advance for any advice!
