Captivate

I've done several WBT courses in Captivate using audio that I have to manually create the Closed captions.  Is there way to import closed captions created by a 3rd party application that creates them from MP4 files? I"m using Captivate 2019 11.5.1.499 Thanks, Carl

Hi Community,  I got a HTML 5 simulation that I created with the latest Captivate (2019). Everything works as expected. I have several TEBs throughout the simulation and I noticed that the various browsers used have a spell check enabled and when typing in the TEB, it puts those red lines under words and blue lines as the end because it thinks the words are misspelled (red lines) or that it is missing a period at the end (blue lines).  The text that is being inputted into the TEBs are technical commands, which I don't expect browser spellcheckers to recognize. Instead of having learners disable spell checks across the many browsers they potentially will be using, is there a Captivate post-publish file I could modify to disable browser spell check from the project itself? Thanks in advance.

I have 8 rows of notes that have been selected for Closed Captioning. When previewed in the Closed Captioning editor, everything seems great. But, unfortunately, when I Preview HTML5 in Browser, OR when I publish to HTML5 and play, not all of the rows appear. For example, rows 1 and 2 display correctly, then it "hangs" on row 2, doesn't display row 3 at all, and then row 4 will appear at the correct moment. All other slides with CC are working great, and most of them have either 1 or 2 rows. Any ideas on what's causing this?

I have created several courses that I have published in SCORM for use in a Moodle platform. I have used videos that are on YouTube inserting the video inside a slide.The problem comes when running the SCORM package, since the video loads it, but after two seconds it stops and you have to press play again to continue.Is there any way to play it directly without making that stop?

Hi there -- I'm a beginner to Adobe Captivate and I need to be able to upload/embed a project to a site built on HubSpot. I know that for other website hosts you'd be able to do this using FTP, but HubSpot does not support FTP. Has anyone run into this issue before? Any solutions/workarounds? Thanks!

Hi there.The font for this Captivate file I'm working on should be Arial on all slides. I have changed every slide to Arial.The 'Update missing fonts' pop-up constantly pops up every time my colleague opens this file on their machine. I URGENTLY need help to investigate why this pop-up is still appearing. It's taking too much of my colleague's time to update it on their side.  I am really keen to understand why this pop-up is still appearing even though everything looks good on my side. I have been duplicating the Captivate file from an old project that may still have other fonts. Could it still be found in the file somewhere, hence why it picks up on it and displays the pop-up if you are opening it for the first time? I need someone to kindly review this Captivate file to see what else I might be missing.  https://we.tl/t-cqovDuUXy3 Thank you

In Captivate 2019, is it possible to build a project with branching and with multiple quizzes based on branching that is scored in the LMS? We are considering developing a course for multiple geographic locations that have different training needs. Is it possible to branch to the georaphy selected and then assign it its own quiz based on the branching logic? We would like the quiz scored in the LMS. Anyone's experience with this would be welcome.

I'm currently creating responsive eLearning, and I only have 6 months of experience using Captivate. I cropped and resized the background image to the correct size and aspect ratio. The problem is that when I upload it to LMS, the background looks like this and won't reflect the design from the captivate. Please see the attached sample images below.    

Is there a document or page that lists the Captivate variables, what they do and how to use them? My approach has been to try to use a variable in an Advanced Action, see if it does what I want, it doesn't, try another, it fails, I give up and come to this forum.I have searched in this forum for that kind of usage document, but did not turn up anything - possibly due to not using correct search terms. Thank you! Don

Bonjour, Je travaille sur un projet qui n'est pas un projet 360 VR. J'ai quand même créé un slide avec de la 360 VR mais je rencontre un problème avec le "hotspot question". En effet, lorsque le projet n'est pas un projet 360 VR, le "hotspot question" semble ne pas proposer l'option qui permet de créer une question. Comment puis-je contourner ce problème ?Merci bien !

Hi All,I want to insert a date into a project (Captivate 2019). cpInfoCurrentLocaleDateString is very, VERY close to what I want. BUT... on my system it displays the date as "Tuesday May 16, 2023" when what I would REALLY like is just:"May 16, 2023"  The issue appears to be local, in that this is the way I have my long date display set up in the Windows Control Panel.If I try to roll my own month, day, year concatinating:$$cpInfoCurrentMonth$$ $$cpInfoCurrentDate$$ , $$cpInfoCurrentYear$$I get: "05 16, 2023" What I would like is for the cpInfoCurrentMonth to display as "May" not "05", so the result would be: "May 16, 2023".  Can I get the "05" to display as "May"?This has been asked before, but the links in the older responses no longer work.Many thanks!

Gooooooood Day to you all! I am having quite the issue with my Captivate Glossary. I am starting to believe that my current project file is corrupted, but without rushing to conclusion I figured I would ask first. To give you a bit of what I have done: I have published the course as HTML and as a SWF. I have an advanced action to control the showing/hiding of the glossary, that has been modified and tested to show/hide the resources pop up. I have deleted, to reset, the wdgt located :C:\Users\Public\Documents\Adobe\eLearning Assets\Interactions_9_0Is there an error log I can check or a way to find out what's stopping the Glossary wdgt from working ? or do you have advice as to how I may fix this issue? ** Update, It previews but does not publish 

Unfortunately, the preview in captivate does not work. I can only preview the next five slides. When I publish it I can also not review it. It simply doesnt stop loading. Do you have an idea what the problem is?

Hello all:I recently built a batch of Health & Safety Compliance training modules for a client.  They all consist of an embedded multi-page PDF of a SOP (that the users must acknowledge reading), and a quick knowledge check.  All of these modules are SCORM 1.2 residing on a hosted LMS.The client recently informed me that when users access these modules via their mobile devices or tablets, only the first page is viewable...there's no scrolling function or means to review the entire PDF.Am I forced into rebuilding all modules as "responsive", or is there a setting I can check to ensure the PDFs are fully viewable?  

Good day, I just set up my new mac and am trying to add the Captivate 2019 I purchased. I have a serial number for the software as I am NOT on the subscription model. It started me on a 30 day trial - but that is not going to do it as the courses I build will also expire in 30 days. Hi,Is there a way to add a Content slide after the Quiz Quesiton Results slide and still have quiz question responses captured in Adobe Connect?I was able to add a Content slide to a Captivate 2019 project after the Quiz Questions Results slide.  In this case it was a slide listed the References for that module. Normally our Quiz Quesiton Results slide would include a 'Close' button (implemented for a cleint's LMS requirements). So we took two approachs - A) added a 'Click to View References' button on the Quiz Question Results slide and a 'Close' button on the Reference slide. Allowing the end user to close the module either on the Reference slide or on the Quiz Question Results slide if they did not want to view the References - this worked well. Testing in Adobe Connect however only showed quiz quesiton responses are captured in Adobe Connect if the 'Close' button on the Quiz Quesiton Results slide is selected and not if the Referense slide 'Close' button is selected - in

I have a project I need to update that contains multiple .swf file animations.I need to remove a hundred pixels or so from the left of the screen. I cropped the entire project to resize all non .swf slides which worked perfectly, but the .swf files are throwing an html 5 error when I attempt to publish. I attempted to convert them into .gif files, which oddly works for some but not all of the animations. On preview and publish it gives me a loading wheel, followed by a white screen with my text on top of it. So 1. is there a way to get around the html 5 error?Or 2. is there a way to get the .gif to work?

     Hello, I am facing this recurring issue when working with a Video Demos.  Once I go into "Edit Video Demo" under properties and then hit "Exit" to save changes and return, Adobe Captivate doesn't prompt a "Save Now" pop-up, but rather takes me back to the original layout while removing the filmstrip as well as my ability to click any buttons within the application. Any advice on how to resolve this issue?  Do I just need to uninstall and reinstall?

I've created my fist interactive video in captivate but when reproduce it, some overlay slides doesn't reproduce. The video don't stop and continue. Someone who can help me?

New to Captivate and have a quick question about displaying images in a responsive project/fluid box. I would like the learner to be able to click on a button on the left and for the content in the two fluid boxes on the right to change to match the button...one image and one text. I was able to set up the multistate option and get that working for the text caption, but I am drawing a blank for the images. I need it to swap to a new image when they click the button, but I am not able to place the images on the screen on top of each other and hide them because of the fluid box.So, thoughts? Ideas on a better way to set up this responsive slide to show text and an image on button click?
