Gooooooood Day to you all! I am having quite the issue with my Captivate Glossary. I am starting to believe that my current project file is corrupted, but without rushing to conclusion I figured I would ask first. To give you a bit of what I have done: I have published the course as HTML and as a SWF. I have an advanced action to control the showing/hiding of the glossary, that has been modified and tested to show/hide the resources pop up. I have deleted, to reset, the wdgt located :C:\Users\Public\Documents\Adobe\eLearning Assets\Interactions_9_0Is there an error log I can check or a way to find out what's stopping the Glossary wdgt from working ? or do you have advice as to how I may fix this issue? ** Update, It previews but does not publish 

Unfortunately, the preview in captivate does not work. I can only preview the next five slides. When I publish it I can also not review it. It simply doesnt stop loading. Do you have an idea what the problem is?

Hello all:I recently built a batch of Health & Safety Compliance training modules for a client.  They all consist of an embedded multi-page PDF of a SOP (that the users must acknowledge reading), and a quick knowledge check.  All of these modules are SCORM 1.2 residing on a hosted LMS.The client recently informed me that when users access these modules via their mobile devices or tablets, only the first page is viewable...there's no scrolling function or means to review the entire PDF.Am I forced into rebuilding all modules as "responsive", or is there a setting I can check to ensure the PDFs are fully viewable?  

Good day, I just set up my new mac and am trying to add the Captivate 2019 I purchased. I have a serial number for the software as I am NOT on the subscription model. It started me on a 30 day trial - but that is not going to do it as the courses I build will also expire in 30 days. Sadly, I have been through this before but this time I do not even have a place where I can put the serial number. Please direct me to the right place. Thank you for the help, Audrey

Hi,Is there a way to add a Content slide after the Quiz Quesiton Results slide and still have quiz question responses captured in Adobe Connect?I was able to add a Content slide to a Captivate 2019 project after the Quiz Questions Results slide.  In this case it was a slide listed the References for that module. Normally our Quiz Quesiton Results slide would include a 'Close' button (implemented for a cleint's LMS requirements). So we took two approachs - A) added a 'Click to View References' button on the Quiz Question Results slide and a 'Close' button on the Reference slide. Allowing the end user to close the module either on the Reference slide or on the Quiz Question Results slide if they did not want to view the References - this worked well. Testing in Adobe Connect however only showed quiz quesiton responses are captured in Adobe Connect if the 'Close' button on the Quiz Quesiton Results slide is selected and not if the Referense slide 'Close' button is selected - in

I have a project I need to update that contains multiple .swf file animations.I need to remove a hundred pixels or so from the left of the screen. I cropped the entire project to resize all non .swf slides which worked perfectly, but the .swf files are throwing an html 5 error when I attempt to publish. I attempted to convert them into .gif files, which oddly works for some but not all of the animations. On preview and publish it gives me a loading wheel, followed by a white screen with my text on top of it. So 1. is there a way to get around the html 5 error?Or 2. is there a way to get the .gif to work?

     Hello, I am facing this recurring issue when working with a Video Demos.  Once I go into "Edit Video Demo" under properties and then hit "Exit" to save changes and return, Adobe Captivate doesn't prompt a "Save Now" pop-up, but rather takes me back to the original layout while removing the filmstrip as well as my ability to click any buttons within the application. Any advice on how to resolve this issue?  Do I just need to uninstall and reinstall?

I've created my fist interactive video in captivate but when reproduce it, some overlay slides doesn't reproduce. The video don't stop and continue. Someone who can help me?

New to Captivate and have a quick question about displaying images in a responsive project/fluid box. I would like the learner to be able to click on a button on the left and for the content in the two fluid boxes on the right to change to match the button...one image and one text. I was able to set up the multistate option and get that working for the text caption, but I am drawing a blank for the images. I need it to swap to a new image when they click the button, but I am not able to place the images on the screen on top of each other and hide them because of the fluid box.So, thoughts? Ideas on a better way to set up this responsive slide to show text and an image on button click?

Recently I was running to the problem of my interactive video skipped one of my 4 overlay slides. When previewing locally in HTM5 browser mode, all the overlays were showing up correctly, but after publishing and running from the server, one of the overlay slides was skipped by the interactive video. At one time, all overlay slides were showing correctly, another time, one of them was skipped by the video. Sometimes, I saw all 4 overlay slides correctly, while my colleague saw one of them missing. This missing overlay slide appeared very unpredictable and random to me, sometimes it showed, while other times it was skipped, not always the same overlay slide. As a result, there is no guarantee that all overlay slides will always show up for all users. By the way, all my videos are embedded within Captivate instead of streaming from remote sever like Vimeo.

I am having problems installing the NeoSpeech text to speech (Captivate Voices 64 bit).I have downloaded it successfully, but when we install it, it says we need a feature that was on the DVD or the download site. I downloaded Captivate from Adobe, and don't have a disc. I used the "Click here to download" and downloaded the Captivate 8 Voices_x64 file.When I try running it, I get this pop up warning: "We've encountered the following issues. Installer failed to initialize. This could be due to a missing file. When I used the live preview on my iPad last week everything was fine, yesterday I tried it again and buttons have moved. Hello all,I am really puzzled. I have tried so many times to get Adobe Captivate to recognize that I have installed the NeoSpeech voices. No luck!What I have tried:1. Run CleanPreferencesWin.bat multiple times.2. Reinstalled the NeoSpeech file multiple times3. Started up Captivate in Admin mode.4. I even copied the VT folder inside the \Adobe Captivate 2019 x64 folder.If this VT folder (with all the voices) supposed to be in a specific location?Perhaps the only thing different about my installation is that I have all my Adobe applications in an Adobe folder.In other words, Adobe Captivate is installed here:D:\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 2019 x64The voices here (a copy of the VT folder is also in the folder, above):D:\Adobe\Adobe Captivate Voices 2019 x64UPDATE:The same is true for the Assets. Hi,First of all, please note that I am a beginner user of Captivate and I use version 5.5.For now, I managed to create some simple fill-in-the-blank quizz slides, each of them containing one unique question. I also manage to add "marked blank" text in each fill-in-the-blank box (right click > mark blank). I would now like to add some fill-in-the-blank questions (actually, that would just be some drop-down lists) in a slide, in order to place them wherever I want on the slide.Is it possible and how should I proceed?ThanksRegards

I want to move the default location of the eLearning Assets folder that comes with Captivate. The reason for this is provided below. There doesn't seem to be a way to delete/modify this folder without it reappearing in the same place later. Anyone know a script or other hack to either delete or permanently move this folder? The Why: I use OneDrive on my Mac and it backs up my primary Documents folder. Captivate keeps it's Content folder (with all of the default common assets) in the Documents folder as well, but it has these horribly named files for each character set—ex. ["1253-Brad.png","1254-Brad.png","1255-Brad.png","1256-Brad.png"]— located at the top level of each character set folder (Brad is located at: Documents/Adobe/eLearning Assets/Characters/2484). OneDrive constantly throws up errors because these file names are incompatible with it's naming conventions. I will never use the characters or any of the other included assets in the Content folder. Okay, I am new to Captivate and am trying to use one of the 2019 Asset Library slides - specifically the one for Hotspot as part of the Alliance Responsive theme. When I add the slide to my project, I can easily see all of the hotspots and change the background and text on the main text captions. Where I am struggling is changing the text that appears when you click the hotspot. I can see that the action is set to a script and in the Advanced Actions, it clearly shows that when you click the icon, it is to display another title and content (for example, for hotspot 1, named Content_01).When I preview the slide, I can click each one and different text appears correctly....however, I cannot figure out where that text exists for me to edit it and include the content I need to include.Where is Content_01 in the project/slide? It is not on the timeline and I have looked everywhere I can think of. What am I missing on where to find those so that I can edit them so it appears w

In the latest version of captivate I see that the mouse klick animation are not working.Bug or am I doing something wrong? 

EDIT: I was wrong--I think all the course DO show up in review mode after you complete the quiz at the end (I hadn't actually filled out the quizzes for most of the lessons that I reviewed). And I found the settings I needed in Moodle, so I believe I am set. Thanks! Hi all! My employer has a bunch of Captivate courses in one mega class, using Moodle as our LMS. Some of the courses show up with "Review Mode" in the left hand corner upon opening, while others don't. I have completed all of these courses before, so I'm not sure why only some of them do it. My employer would like none of them to do it, but they would still like the learner to be able to pick up where they left off, which you can currently do in the courses that don't say "Review Mode." I compared the Publish settings in Captivate for a course that shows up in Review Mode and one that does not, and they appear to be identical to each other. But the settings in the same 2 Moodle courses appear to be the same too. I

HiI have been exporting a bunch of screenrecording to MP4. One of them will not export. The mp4 generated are 0 kb and after a few tries captivate crash. I can preview it but not export itAny thought

I feel really stupid. I recently updated my Captivate 8 to 8.0.1.242 and now I can't figure out how to change the color of my smart shapes. I don't see the fill or stroke settings. Is there somewhere new I should be looking? Shouldn't they be under the "State" area? All is see is the opacity setting.
