Feature Requests

I have a saved workspace in the arrangement that I want; however, every time I open/create a new project, my workspace is in a different arrangement than what I have saved. When I press "reset to saved layout" it does not reset to my saved layout—it does change the layout, but not to my saved layout, and I have to manually re-arrange the windows every time. Note: When I press "save changes to this layout" (after rearranging it), then put the windows in a different arrangement, pressing "reset to saved layout" works ie. puts the windows in the arrangement I want. It's just every time that I open/create a new project that the arrangement is messed up. I have tried checking/unchecking "import workspace from project" and this has no effect on fixing the problem. If you know the solution to this problem, I will be forever indebted to you!  *I am on MacOS Catalina w/Premiere version 14.1 installed.

Greetings Community, There are occasions where I've nested a still image or a video clip as an element in a graphic clip.It would be helpful to be able to right click on these nested clips in the "Properties" panel (and the graphic clip's Effect Controls panel for that matter) and have the ability to "Reveal in Project" and "Reveal in Finder".In a large project with many clips and bins, it can be tedious to locate these stills/clips when the need arises.A bonus would be to have the abilty to right click and have the "Replace with clip    >" function as well.Hopefully, others would find this useful as well. Regards,Dan 

I'm putting this in as an idea because it technically isn't a bug, though in my mind this is a flaw in the programing, as this feature should be essential to an NLE in 2025.I recently had a film accepted to a festival and they required a DCP. I exported one using the Wraptor settings directly from Premiere (version 2025). It was rejected by the festivals service. I was told they do not accept Wraptor DCPs ever, because of known problems with them playing in many venues.How is this possible? Why would you have a feature in the software that makes DCP's that don't work everywhere, or at least has the capability to work everywhere. This boggles my mind that this could even be a problem. I'm going to have to use another service, or Resolve to get the DCP that I need for this festival. Thankfully there are free options. Why wouldn't Adobe have not only a working DCP export that works everywhere, but one that is known as the best in the business?

This would be very useful when you have lots of clips on the track that need to be positioned.

In my workplace we work off of daily team projects as we deliver daily video turnarounds and the admin of setting this up every week is painful. I want to be able to automate the creation of a weeks worth of projects, from a template (so folder structure and assets are already available), and shared to the same group of users. I've tried having a look at UXP but doesn't seem to be able to do what I need it to unless ayone knows otherwise?

Since the built-in speech-to-text transcription plugin in Premiere Pro is only ~65% accurate (if you count the punctuation mistakes) — which in mid-2025 (the age of reasoning super AIs is quite unprofessional for such a large company), why don't you switch to using Open AI's free Whisper API app? I use fast playback like 2x with the L key to edit long videos in Premiere Pro. But when I pause with Space or K, playback always resumes at 1x. I want Premiere to remember the last speed after pause. Can you add this as a feature?

Why does reverb only trail off for the length of a clip? Because that's not how reverb actually works anywa y - like you can't have a reverb that sounds natural if it abruptly stops at the same time as the audio source.  It's bad enough that this is how it works when applied to a track, but it does the same thing when you send to a submix, so essentially the only way to mix audio in Premiere Pro is to use riduclous workarounds. Nothing else does this.  Please make reverb workable. 

In the latest version of premiere pro clip marker label names are now cut off when you trim a selected layer. This is most obvious if you zoom into the timeline [see attached] and attempt to do detailed work. When you zoom back out the label name then rolls back out. This creates a very annoying workflow issue for anyone working with long lable names. If the name is longer than the length of the clip on the timeline when zoomed out you can't read it. If you zoom in as in previous versions [like v.2024] to see what it should say you can now [v.2025] only see a blank label. Obviously if I reveal each individual clip in the source bin I can see what it says. However, I scan through tons of clips on a timeline and the idea that the best way now is to open each one, one by one is a massive time waste. Please allow me to undo this new UI feature and allow label names to remain static and therefore readable when I zoom in and scrub through. Thank you!

Idea: Update to Media Inteligent Analysis to Include dectection of specific sound waves/effects. This is the current info I get when searching Google. *AI Overview:Premiere Pro doesn't have a built-in feature to automatically identify and cut sound effects based on specific sound events like a gunshot or a door slam. However, it does offer tools for scene detection and manual trimming to achieve a similar effect. I am learning that the current feature "Media Inteligent Analysis" can help quickly locate these sound effects if they are tied to specific video frames/events. The problem I am facing here is time.  I want to eliminate time searching/trimming. For my use case there may be hundreds of these quarter/half/full second sound effects I would like to clip into a segment in order. It would it be nice to search these sound effects by word, but for me it would make more sense to zoom into the audio track and highlight the sound effect I am looking for and then

On the Export tab, the Basic Video Settings feature Match Source also changes the next section, the Encoding Settings. This may be misleading to the user, since the button is under the Basic Video Settings. Unless first clicking on the button, then modifying the Encoding Settings according to this article... https://www.adobe.com/creativecloud/video/hub/guides/best-export-settings-for-premiere-pro.html In addition, the Save Preset feature doesn't have the option to save the current preset after modifying, the user has to type in the whole name of the preset again. Thanks.

Hey community! I have the feeling that this did work 2 years back, maybe I have a bug, but if I do, it is there for a long time already.When I am searching something (not the AI search, which is great! but useless for this) like sequences, nested files, especially things that are created within a project, it does not show me results with only single letters.  I have to type whole words/file names. But I have one PrProject file for each client, over time there are so many sequences that I cannot remember all of them perfectly. But searching for half the name ends up withouth any results.WHY? How can I change this, if possible, or can we get that feature - which is really nothing special. I only want to see all results that have the letter combination I am searching for somewhere in its name. Appreciate it, thanks in advance! 

AI Video Description Tool The new Media Intelligence feature is astounding. The fact that the analysis can acknowledge all the different visuals within a piece of footage is invaluable when it comes to doing vlogs and searching for rogue clips when editing a film. However, I feel that-- considering there must be some sort of database where this "description" lies-- it would be handy for there to be a way to generate a text file with a brief description of the entire clip. Including the most important visuals, specific location changes etc. I feel it'd be especially helpful for those who have to do footage wrangling for film-editing or vloggers who might want to write up diaries for their day without having to trudge through hours of footage. Think of it like the AI Audio Transcription Feature but instead, it scans the footage with the Media Intelligence and not only allows you to search for specific footage, but generates a simple overv

Can you bring back the highlight color of active icons to BLUE instead of white? I mean how simple can that be, and how easily you like to screw things around?Also, in the Audio workspace, the highlighted parameters were easily noticed with blue highlights, but now they are white!  Lastly, the dissolve highlight color area is also unnoticeable now thanks to the genius who decided to change it from a noticeable color like blue to a white border. Keep making Premiere worse than before; good job.

It is exceptionally frustrating that Adobe are so quick to remove older versions of their software from the Creative Cloud app.22.6.4 was, for many I'm guessing, the most stable version of Premiere Pro that has been available for some years.Yet only 12/13 months after its release, they removed access to it.Despite many conversations with Adobe Help desk, I just keep hearing that they can't provide a download for 22.6.4. However they CAN give me a link to 22.0.Why they would be able to provide an unpatched version of 22, but not the most patched version is utterly beyond me.They claim they don't have it anymore and can't provide it. Which is bonkers for a company that literally makes and distributes software with auto save and version control. Where is Adobe's OWN version control?I do understand that providing support for older versions is difficult, but they could easily let us download them with a pop up warning saying they don't provide technical support for this version any more.Hon

Hi there, I'm a modestly experienced Adobe Premiere user with about 20 YouTube videos under my belt, using Version 25.2.3 (Build 4) on a Mac (12.7.6 Monterey), and would love a recommendation/critique of this one thing about my workflow that annoys me:  adding downloaded files to the project.Here's what I am doing:1. download a file into my Downloads folder (I'm on a Mac)2. I don't want to leave all my project files in the Downloads folder so I drag the downloaded file to another folder that is setup for my project.3.  Then I have to drag the file from my project folder into the correct folder in the Premiere project window to keep it organized.  (if I just drag the file onto the timeline it copies the file to the root directory in the projcet window, which I dont want).This is too many steps, and here's what I've love to be able to do in a perfect world:  download a file, then drag it directly into my timeline and have the file be automatically copied to the p

The new dynamic waveform feature makes me want to stab my own eyes out. I hate it so so so much. BUT I GET IT. Some people might like it. And I know I can turn it off, but that disables it for BOTH gain changes (which used to change the waveform) and volume keyframes (which didn't used to change the waveform).If you're going to introduce a new feature YOU HAVE TO GIVE ME THE ABILITY TO SWITCH BACK TO EXACTLY HOW IT OPERATED BEFORE. This isn't complicated, Adobe. Every new feature needs to come with a switch that lets you continue to work the way you've always worked.

Hello,This must be a bug after all? When opening a Project, the focus should be on the Timeline panel by default, instead of the empty Effects Controls panel, so that the user can press the Spacebar to start the playback as expected. Premiere 2025 version 25.2.1 (Build2) Mac Os Ventura Thanks.

Please make analyzing Warp Stabilizer on a nest go faster It relatively takes a long time to analyze. Sometimes I do not have a choice but to put WS on a nest instead of the clip.

At the end of the project, I begin the media management process via Premiere's Project Manager window.  Unfortuntaely in its current state, the window is of a fixed size, limiting the amount of sequences you can see at one time to about 7.   When you have to back up multiple sequences (different resolutions, etc), it would be great to be able to resize the window, specifically bigger, so that you can see and select a lot more sequences.  Thank you.Premiere 25.2.12021 MacBook ProApple M1 ProSequoia 15.3.2

Load in any edited video to premiere and have premiere auto detect cuts and find similar shots to compose a new cut based on it. A random (roll the dice) feature as well to cycle through different shots selected for those cuts.  Practical example: I'm taking over a project that has had multiple sizzles or versions exported but the project file was lost. Import the cuts and have premiere find those shots for me so I can reconstruct it.  Creative example: Take creative pacing and shot selection from a montage sequence. Find happy accidents by randomizing cuts.  

Feature to copy/paste modified transition Effects after changing the direction/duration/location parameters. Of course, the user would like to use the same Effect with the same parameters across multiple clips, for example text. If the user made a transition between two dummy clips for  copy/pasting, only every other transition would be in place... Thanks!

The Intelligent Media Search is an awesome new feature, however it would be even better if you could search a folder on an external drive. I have hundreds of hours of B-roll that I've filmed over the past 10 years and it is impossible to load this into a project, but if I could just point to an external folder for it to search that would be amazing!
