I find editing captions in Premiere Pro a bit difficult. If I could edit it like Capcut did, I would place the cursor where the caption needs to be split -> press enter to split the caption line into tw,o like a line break but create an additional caption layer, and if I want a pure line break, I would Alt + Enter (or Shift + Enter)And in the Vietnamese market, Capcut is still the editing software that allows automatic creation of Vietnamese subtitles with higher accuracy than some other software that I use and then export the SRT file back to Premiere Pro.To be honest, I hope the caption feature gets more attention because now is the era of short videos, not just YouTube videos.
The current way to add and manipulate transitions on the timeline is a sort of "guess & check" method, you've got to have the right amount of handle frames before you add it, and the way it is displayed isn't very visually appealing.I propose adding the same functionality that Audition has, where overlapping clips will automatically create a crossfade. This is an incredibly intuitive way of handling transitions, and can also be applied to Video transitions (as is done on other professional NLEs). See attached gif for an explanation of what I mean.Currently, overlapping clips on the timeline will create a cut. For editors that use this functionality as a shortcut (no pun intended), this "auto crossfade" feature would be optional (easy to toggle on/off on-the-fly). I think this would be a great way to increase productivity for transitions, as well as avoid accidentally losing your work by inadvertently overlapping clips when moving things around en masse on the timeline!
Every other app has it now. Adobe showcased automatic masking at Adobe Max once before, but it has still not been introduced in the software. Premiere not having it is making me consider other options. PS: I don't want to go to After Effects if I have like 100+ clips to mask in one Premiere project.
I would like the ability to select multiple sequences in the project window and be able to change the settings for all them at once.Currently, I have to adjust them individually.
Please let me export and reimport transcripts IN AN EDITABLE FORMAT. I can export and reimport transcripts in a binary .transcript format for which I have no editor. I can export transcripts and captions in a text format, but cannot reimport either after running them through a text editor. This would save me hours of work daily.
When creating captions:Stop inserting hard returns in captions. Give us a choice of selecting either balancing ragged lines (y’all have this code in InDesign) or inserting soft returnsLet me choose triple lines (useful on square or tall videos)Let me set the font, size, color on creation and then save them as a preset. I never ever under any circunstances want captions in Minion 48, yet that is inexplicably the default.Set a highlight color for following along with captions. There are free video editors that offer this. And then give me a choice of two effects: Follow words as spoken: This highlights the currrent word being utteredKaraoke effect: This crawls across the words as spoken, lingers on long words, and leaves uttered words highlightedSee attached for how revised dialog should look.
Do I want my transcriptions to be like the New York Times i.e percent instead of % or one instead of 1? Or do I prefer to always use the shortest possible amount of text, Gov. Newsome instead of Governor Newsome or Rep. Greene instead of Representative Greene. Do I want to use the Oxford Comma or the Harvard Comma? There should be built in choices for Chicago, AP, New York Times style guides and the option to make custom edits.
In the latest Premiere Beta 24.2.0 you have the option for Channel Selection when Transcribing a single clip. However, it would be useful to have the same functionality when selecting multiple clips. Currently this is not possible. This would help my workflow using a multi-channel camera in a fast-paced documentary environment (having multiple people wearing lavaliers, but camera only focusing on one subject at a time, so the audio from other lavs would "contaminate" the transcription of the channel of the person I am focusing on). Currently I have to select and transcribe clips one by one to ensure only the channel I need is being transcribed. By allowing the same channel selection across multiple clips I could batch transcribe clips with the same channel configuration, saving a lot of time.
https://aescripts.com/auto-motion-tracker-for-objects/This is an extension for Adobe Premiere Pro that lets you convert keyframes of a tracked Mask Path to a Transform effect, so anything can follow movement in the scene! Those keyframes can also be used to STABILIZE your footage! All it does is capture a mask's position, rotate, scale keyframe data within PPro and apply to the transform effect. Why can't Abode implement this themselves?www.santanu.biz
Premiere Pro’s speech transcribe has NEVER spelled the word “partisan” correctly (and by never I’m talking 3-4 dozen videos). As if it isn’t in the English dictionary. Instead it always transcribes “Partizan”. In American English when something is done to benefit Democrats or Republicans it is done for partisan benefit. The Partizans OTOH were the Yugoslavian guerillas who fought the Nаzіs in WWII (and also a current Serbian ⚽️ team). Unless I’m transcribing a video about the Balkans, I should never see Partizan in a transcript.

Sometimes you have to switch audio source tracks quite frequently. This would be much easier if you could activate or deactivate them via shortcuts. This is possible for target tracks in the timeline but not for the source tracks.
One great feature FCP had when I dropped it 12 years ago to favor PP is the 2 sorts of focus approaches when zooming in the TL. I'll explain and wish you could consider!1- If nothing/no clips was selected on the TL, the zooming in would be centered on the CTI. All good.2- However, if a clip was selected, then the zooming in would be centered on that clip. How great!! WHy? Well, bcz at times, we don't have the CTI placed at the clip we're busy with, hence selected. Yet we wanna zoom in there to check somthg, to maybe Slip it, roll an edit point... So zooming in on it would be very intuitive, instead of jumping back to where we left our dear CTI a few seconds before... And once one knows that it works like this, it's just a really handy feature!! With more ways (just one more here) we can do faster. Really. Thanks for considering! Best,Federico
Please let me enhance an audio track directly in Adobe’s Enhance Speech v2 AI without needing to take 12 steps to import enhanced speech.
I need AI to fidget still shots so that if I place a still photo of someone in shot I can make their lips move to the audio and show the subtle movements someone on camera would make.
Please let me open an audio track directly in Audition or Fission or whatever sound editor I choose in my preferences. Then it can ask me if I wish to replace or overdub the original.
It would be super usefull to have in Premiere the same option to hide/shy layers that After Effect has.
Can we have Premiere Pro give us a warning when trying to export a video and there are "frames that need analyzing" for warp stabilizer? Currently it just exports the warning across the video and I've spent all this computer render time without knowing it was going to do this.
Could the language options be expanded to include Arabic for translation? It would help us as we are serving a lot of Middle Eastern countries.
the markers window to create and edit timelines ans sequences would be nice. From the markers menu you could select your searched markers and create sequences or edit other video prperties light color, size, spead ramp ect. essetial use markers as another orgonization tool that you can directly select and edit. this gives anothe option for useablitiy and flexibility.
Please Adobe, can you enlarge the area next to an edit point that activates the Edit (shorten/extend)Roll/Ripple tools? It's now liek a few pixels...! 2 times out of 3, It ends up being the "select" tool and we end up moving the clips instead of editing it/editing the edit point...Such a simple thing, and that would enhance and speed up editing a lot! ThanksFederico
I've noticed that Adobe Express includes a very useful video background remover, which is super helpful for quick edits. I'm wondering why this feature hasn't made its way into Premiere Pro yet.Given that Premiere Pro is a professional-grade editor, it feels like a basic background removal tool (without needing green screens or complicated rotoscoping) would be a huge help—especially with so many creators working solo or needing quick turnaround times. Is there a reason this hasn't been integrated yet? Or is it something Adobe is working on for future updates?
Feature Request for Adobe Premiere Pro – Export Panel EnhancementsI have been using Premiere Pro and I really appreciate the built-in options for direct export to YouTube and Facebook. I would like to request the following enhancements to make the export process smoother and more efficient:Add Instagram Direct Upload OptionPlease provide an option to upload directly to Instagram from the Export section, similar to YouTube and Facebook.YouTube Export ImprovementsTitle Character Count Preview: Show a live character count for the YouTube title (maximum 100 characters). For example, if I type 20 characters, it should display “20/100” so I can see how much space is left.Tag Character Count: YouTube tags have a 500-character limit. Please add a live counter (e.g., “150/500”) so we can optimize tags without guessing.YouTube Scheduling: In addition to the current “Private,” “Unlisted,” and “Public” options, please add the ability to schedule YouTube videos directly from Premiere Pro.These addi
Within Premiere Productions, it would be great to have the ability to be able to open a project as ‘read only’ rather than opening it and then click to convert it from ‘editable’ to ‘read-only’. The reason behind this is that there plenty of projects that get created (Rushes, selects timelines etc…) that once created, not only rarely need changes to, but actively want changes to be prevented. This is currently possible by opening the project (which defaults to ‘editable’) and then clicking the Read/Write toggle. But this step is a real faff and easy to forget. So if nothing else, the option to right click and ‘Open as Read Only’ would work. Beyond that, a keyboard shortcut to open project as Read Only, or even to toggle or set it between Read or Write when the project panel active.Beyond that, it could be cool to set default behaviour for certain projects. So projects that you know you’ll always want to open as ‘read only’ will default to that. I
Is there a way to organize fonts? I would love to see fonts that I install separate from the rest of windows/adobe default fonts. As of right now i'll go through and favorite my fonts, which is well over 50+ fonts. And its a huge pain. Otherwise my fonts are mixed in to the rest and often forgotten about or annoying to find. I've said this 1000 times but this issue also wouldnt be bad if we had cloud sync for settings/luts/fonts. I wouldnt mind this system of favoriting my fonts if it could all be synced in the cloud and I only need to do it once. So maybe we can get 15Mb of cloud space to sync our settings? I think the amount of money we pay could justify a few megabytes....
