I’m following online instructions to fix the problem of hyperlinks not working after exporting to PDF. Still, only some of the hyperlinks work (the same ones as before using Layout > Table of Contents, and configuring everything according to instructions).Should I reimport the TOC text from another document and re-style it???

I was writing on my text box when suddenly the content turns blank. I tried doing ctrl+z but I had hit the limit count of undoes. Even if I try to copy the text into another text box, nothing happens except for emptiness. I might have lost my text since I was writing directly onto the file.  

Hi, I'm on the latest Indesign version (21.0) and my Save and Save as dialog windows are blank. It started last week, before that I did not have this problem. I am using a work-around as Save a copy window works. I already tried setting preferences to the old dialog window, deleting caches and force restarting Indesign. So far to no avail. Hi, After talking with customer service, I was directed hereto. I need help getting access to InDesign APIs; I cannot add them via my developer console, and for some reason, nobody can help me on how to add them to my plan, or the cost related hereto. We are exploring how to use InDesign APIs to do automated updates to .indd files in a serverless manner, such that we do not have to spin up a VM with the InDesign Server installed. Br, Katrine

HelloI renewed Windows for the latest version of Windows 11, and when I downloaded Adobe programs, I found that Indesign did not want to install its latest version and only stopped at version 19.5.5This is very bad and I want a solution to this problem

Hello, is it possible to change the indesign file name position when exporting from indesign to acrobat as pdf, as it automatically puts the text below on the left side but the beginning of the file name is cut out and I wanted to know if you can say to indesign to change the position a little bit more to the right so I can see the whole file name. Thanks!

Some time ago file search within main/subfolders stopped working when placing images.InDesign versions 20.5.2. and 21.2.Windows 11 Pro.It is possible that some of the Window updates broke it.

Hello everyone, I bought a new Windows 11 laptop with 16GB RAM and RTX 4050 (6GB), but Adobe InDesign isn’t working properly. Undo stops after 1–2 steps, and text or chapters disappear while editing. Tried versions 21.2–20.4, same issue. Thank you.

An ePub I created for a client has the following error messages when she tries to upload it. I can fix the date in the metadata (oops! I always forget the order). However, I don’t know how to find the “PKG 26” “Obfuscated resource…” or what this error even is. What am I looking for in the file? Thank you!

After installing InDesign 2026 (21.2) MAC it won’t package jobs. Any jobs...Getting the error “Cannot copy necessary linked files”.Same job package well in InDesign 2025 (20.5.2) MAC.No special characters in files or folders.Working on smb drives.Not an option to copy everything to local drive.Any ideas?

I’m trying to open a cloud based document for InDesign, but the app either hangs or crashes. The app is up to date, in the log there is the error:“PagedTreePageReference: page type mismatch on load”Presumably this file is corrupt? I don’t have any other versions - how can the page reference get reinstated?

Hi everyone,Today on two different computers, both running the latest InDesign, I started getting this error every time I edit a file:“InDesign is unable to save this file. We tried, but it appears to be damaged.”Then, when I try to close the file, I get another message:“Could not complete your request because of a database error. The file ‘InDesign Defaults’ is damaged (Error code: 1).”I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling InDesign, resetting preferences, testing files saved locally, in the cloud, and on a USB stick, but nothing helps. I can open and save files as long as I don’t make any changes, but once I edit anything, the error appears.Everything worked fine yesterday, and now both computers are affected. Is anyone else seeing this problem, or does anyone know how to fix it?

how can i change the paragraph stle of text i import into indesign, i want it to change to this specific stlye, but italisize and bold words should remain the same

Hi there, I'm trying to define a standard object style for the standard text frame of my document but it isn't applied correctly the i flow in text that breaks into the next page that InDesign creates for the overset text. The object style is applied to the textframe but the x/y position that was set in "Size and Position" is not. the textframe is shifted some arbitrary value to the bottom and right even causing it to span out of the page the size is still retained though. because i have quite a view parent pages defined and most have different layouts and textframe sizes and positions I've got about 2 to 3 object styles for the textframes defined.The idea behind those object styles is to have a script that cleans the document from unintended misplacements or size changes by authors of the later documents that runs onBeforeSave and checks and optionally corrects such things. Our print shop require that the inner bleed is set to 0.  We export single pages as PDF.We work on spreads and upper/lower/outer bleed is set to 5 mm.Today I noticed that the new Align to Bleed only works when adjusting to the bleed on the right side. It's not working when adjust to the bleed on the left side.The inner bleed setting at 0 is the reason it's not working. So I'm looking at a spread with a 5 mm bleed surround the spread.  There is no logic that adjust to the bleed on the left would be affected by something connected to the inner parts of the spread. I'm using Swedish InDesign but I think you'll recognize the bleed settings shown.

To speed things up, save the image in Photoshop with maximum compatibility enabled and import it. We are using Adobe InDesign 2025 to create tagged PDFs for accessibility compliance.When we export the same document from MS Word, the PDF is auto-tagged and all detailed attribute objects (including list attributes, numbering, and structure attributes) are correctly generated.However, when exporting from InDesign using the “Create Tagged PDF” option, table attributes and layout attribute dictionaries are generated, but list attributes are missing.We have ensured that paragraph styles are mapped to tags and the document structure is properly set. Despite this, the exported PDF does not include the list attribute dictionary like Word does.Our client requires PDFs with full attribute dictionaries for PDF/UA compliance.We would like to know: Is there a setting or workflow in InDesign to generate full list attributes automatically? I’m working in InDesign from Adobe and want to create an interactive PDF with fully functional buttons. I’ve added buttons and set actions, but they don’t always work after exporting. What are the exact steps to ensure buttons, hyperlinks, and navigation features function properly? Are there specific export settings or panel options I should double-check for reliable interactive results?

What would be the fastest InDesign alt text workflow for over a thousand images in a document?  

As in the subject - the MathML module does not support Polish characters in formulas.Polish characters are displayed in a different font than the rest of the formula, which makes the entire expression visually inconsistent.

When I save a named find/change query, the font family Arno Pro is replaced with Myriad Pro. Individual find/changes work fine, but the queries just won't retain the correct font name. This started occurring in recent months. I found this issue reported by users in 2012 on CreativePro Forums and in 2020 on UserVoice. 

I have cleared my font cache, I have restarted, i have reset my preferences, and yet still none of my glyphs for any fonts are applying to the characters in indesign. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
