Hi, Only started playing around with the new denoise feature yesterday. It's unbelievable. However, I stumbled across a slight problem. I merged a panorama of about 7 images, all DNG no edit on them. Didn’t apply the auto settings from the panorama either. So that spits out a new DNG image for me, but doesn't want to run the AI denoise on it. I get that some formats won't work, as well as compressed DNGs etc etc. Am I wrong to assume all the necessary data is in the panorama to run the AI denoise? Would love to know why it won't work.
I used LR Classic 14.4 yesterday, no problem, now it won't start. I tried uninstalling, reboot, reinstalling and it still won't start. I have the latest version of Win 11 Pro on my PC. Any ideas?
Problem with the following lens: Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG DN OS Sport (EAN: 0085126747695) on Lumix s5 II. Both lens and firmware are the newest, LR is the newest. LR thinks that lens make is Panasonic 150-160. There's probably a bug in EXIF from this camera or in lens? The EXIF data for this lens is (output from exiftool):Lens Type : 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS | Sports 021 Lens Model : 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS | Sports 021 Lens ID : 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS | Sports 021 Lens Firmware Version : 0.1.3.0 Lens Type Model : 2f 60 As we can see in "150-600mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS | Sports 021" there is no make, and the lens make is also empty (it is usually empty also for other cameras). I think LR needs to adjust the matching patterns. It is very annoying that I have to change make from Panasonic to Sigma and find the correct lens on the list (and I'm not even sure if it is exactly the one over there - I have to choose very similar one 150-600). I can add
I am running Windows 11 and LR Classic Version 13.2. My video card is an nvidia GeForce RTX 3060. Device Manager shows both the nvidia and an Intel UHD Graphics 630 which I assume is the built in video card? nvidia has the most recent Studio Driver installed. Preferences from LRC show Use Graphics Processor as off and the option to turn on or make auto, is not available. There is also a message that Graphics processor acceleration is not supported by your system. System Info says:as well, Dedicated GPU memory used by Lighroom shows as zero. So that begs the question:Is this particular video card simply not supported by Lightroom to use the Graphics Processor and there is nothing I can change to make it supported? Thanks, Bob
I am on a 2019 Mac Pro. I have 3 graphics cards installed: 1 AMD Radeon PRO W66002 AMD Radeon RX 6900 XTs. The 6600 is used for my monitor, the 6900s are used for their processing power (3D rendering, etc.). My understanding is that Lightroom Classic can only use the graphics card that the monitor is plugged into. That being the case, I switch my monitor over to a 6900 when I work in Lightroom, so that I can take advantage of the superior horsepower for things like AI settings. However, when I plug my monitor into either 6900, Lightroom ignores it and continues processing on the 6600. This is true even after restarting Lightroom. It will only process on the 6900s if I remove my 6600 from the machine entirely. The 6900s are significantly more powerful and process AI settings in half the time, but my GPU setup works very well for the rest of my workflow, so removing the 6600 permanently is not an option. This is the latest version of Lightroom Classic and macOS 1

After uploading images to a API web service I get a stream of information back.I want to create a modal dialog where the information processed by the API is shown. So there needs to be:a text area where the information text returned is updated as more info is returned.I want the currently processed image shown, but in time, this image should be refreshed by the next image being processed. Receiving streaming information seems to be difficult, I want to implement pagination in the API and call from the Lightroom SDK this API every x seconds. Questions: Is there a way to keep on adding information to a modal dialog?Probably the solution with f:scrolled_view with adding rows could work, but this requires the refresh the dialog at an interval and is not niceIs there a way to show the image being processed along the text area from bullit 1.And the image should be changed as the API returns information of a different image. So somekind of slideshow in the modal dialogAny other i
Recently purchased a new computer. all photos were copied from old computer to new computer, along with the catalog files, and placed in the Pictures folder with all of the subfolder hierarchy intact. The only issue was that in LR synch preferences, the folder indicated was not the correct folder; So I changed it to the correct folder i.e. Pictures/Iphone. (It's named that way because I sync all my iphone photos into LR mobile, and then from there to the iphone folder in LRC). It was at that point that I made the error of telling LR to transfer the photos. It happily transferred the photos from the correct subfolders into the top level Iphone directory. Argh! My thought is to delete (actually I will just move them to a separate folder until I have confirmed that everything is good) all of the photos which are in the Iphone top level directory (which should not have any photos in it) ; I need to know if when LR synch runs again it will pi
I have been using LR classic with Topaz for several month without a problem. Now, suddenly, to see my edits, I have to toggle to Library Mode. Please help!
I normally use the EXIF {serial number} value found in [Import] > [Rename files] > [Custom settings] > [edit] > [Filename template editor]. This value is populated for every other brand of camera I have used (Fuji, Panasonic, Olympus, Canon, Nikon) but not for Sony. ExifTool.exe shows the serial numbers are all located in the same "Internal Serial Number" EXIF field in the raw image data on all the cameras including the Sony. Why does Lightroom not recognize the Sony serial number during the rename process?
I am trying to import photos into a specified folder on a Mac. Its a new Mac and I have given Lightroom Classic access to files and folders. My structure is users/<name>/pictures/<year>/<date>It used to work when I imported pictures it would add the year if it couldn't find it and then put the dates and pics in that folder. When I look at the folders listing under Library view I see that structure. When I import now it is creating the year under the Mac HD and not the Users/<name>/Pictures structure. I have set the destination on import to the correct directory but it keeps putting it in the wrong place. I had to turn on file sharing in order to see the directory structure in the import settings as well. Have no idea what is going on.
Hello everyone, have you updated Lightroom? they changed the denoise application mode and, after removing the noise, if I move the photo into Photoshop it doesn't keep the change 🥲 does it happen to you too? before the update, after applying denoise lightroom made a copy of the photo in DNG, now it doesn't anymoreI read online that you have to click on a new button at the top that tells you the AI changes made and click update, but even if I do that it still doesn't keep the change in photoshop 😭
I'm getting back to some photography after a few years break. I had used Lightroom Classic in the past but am having trouble currently. When I select File / Tethered Capture, modify my settings, and then hit "OK", the application just goes to an endless spinning beachball. The application is non-responsive and I have to Force Quit. I've done some surface digging and I do have "Use Graphics Processor" turned off. Beyond that, things started to get over my head! I really appreciate any and all help (even if that means a recommendation to use another software for tethered shooting)! My setup:Canon 5DMac Pro (Late 2013)2.7 GHz 12-Core Intel Xeon E5AMD FirePro D700Sequoia 15.5* About a year ago, a tech savvy friend helped me get this older computer set up with OpenCore so that I could get my OS up past Monterey. It's been working great but maybe there is an issue here.
Yes, sometimes you have to deal with more then one problem in two days. Yesterday's problem is fixed with a help from a very kind person, this morning I have another "problem". When importing and deleting some files, a file appeared in my catalogue. It's grey and it got no content, no value. I can't remove it from the catalogue either. Of course I searched for an solution here, but no solution yet. I enabled all the plugins, I optimized the catalogue, but no change. Is there a way to get rid of this file?
Hey team. So I've got an issue and while I can see NUMEROUS posts about this particular subject I can't seem to either get the right answer or figure it out for myself.. Basically I've gone back to Windows from Mac and stored everything on external drives. Everything went smoothly but..... Finding the missing photos hasn't. I see the obvious problem on a few where my Mac has chucked a "volume" label at the start of D Drive (labelled as Red Expansion) and now my PC isn't playing nice as it IDs it as simply D Drive or Red Expansion blah blah drive. So I see that's the problem but how do I reconnect all the missing photos? I can imagine it is something obvious but I am missing the very large and obvious point 🙂 These photos are there but the question is HOW..
LrC opens with an error message saying it cannot find or open the catalog. Click OK or "more info" and it promptly crashes. I have signed out and back in to no avail. I updated the NVIDIA RTX 4060 driver for studio use, also to no avail. I feel that if I could keep it open I could direct it to the catalog. Thanks to anyone who can help.
Hello everyone,I’m experiencing a persistent problem with Lightroom Classic (now on the latest version 14.4) running on Windows 11, where the Import window fails to load any photos from any volume or folder. Here is the background and what I have done so far:The issue started after I clicked "Merge" while trying to move a folder within my catalog to another folder on the same volume but with a different name. I only suspect this is related because, as far as I remember, everything was working fine before that.Since then, Lightroom's Import dialog does not display any photos from any source, whether it’s a local folder or a memory card. When I open the Import window, the spinning circle in the lower left corner (which usually indicates that photos are being loaded) appears for about a second, then disappears, and no photos show up.I copied all photos from the card to a new folder on a different location on my hard drive and tried importing from there, but the problem persists.I have verif
Have an edited image in Lightroom that I want to continue editing with Photoshop. Right click opens PS but the image doesn't move into PS. Instead the Photoshop window opens with my most recent images showing but no way to move the lightroom image to PS. In my Lightroom Classic, the masks I make from one image to another are not copied and pasted. It says that the AI changes were not updated.

Hello. I renamed three folders in the Finder (Apple) outside of LR and rearranged their order. Stupid, because LR didn't recognize the folders and I couldn't link them. The Originals folder in LR now contained edited photos. This morning, after much online research, I synchronized the folders. Great, all the folders have been transferred, with the correct contents, but at the top of the menu in the Catalog, the original files are now listed, as well as the edited ones. Normally, the original photos are always there, and when I click on them and go to Develop, I see the photo along with what has been changed and developed. If I delete the edited version from LR, it also disappears from the Edited Photos folder. How can I remove the edited photos from the catalog without them also disappearing from the Edited Photos folder? Thanks for reading my question.

I have been using Lightroom professionally for 10 years, and yesterday started having an issue that I have never had before, and it has seemingly completely prevented me from opening photos in Photoshop through Lightroom. (1) When I tried to open a Lightroom image in an externam editor (Photoshop 2025), I would first have to wait about an hour or more for the XMP to be written for all 200,000+ photos in my catalog. Then the image would open. If I tried to open another photo after that, the entire XMP writing process would start all over again. (See attached screenshot) (2) I went into Lightroom Catalog Settings and unchecked the "Automatically write changes into XMP". Then when I tried to open a photo in the external editor, I get a generic "Saving Metadata" message that just hangs and never completes. The image never opens in Photoshop. If I cancel the Saving Metadata process, the image also does not open in Photoshop. (3) Remedial action taken: -- I have deleted a
