Major malfunction with Lightroom Classic:I tried to Import (Copy) about 20 images from my CF Express card to my local SSD - exactly as I always do.The Import dialog window gets stuck with no progress and never ends, for a task that should take a few seconds. In the Import dialog window, the image thumbnails don't render any images and display only as grey boxes. I Forced Quit, ejected the card, restarted my Mac, reinserted the card and from Finder I dragged (copied) the images into my Users > Pictures folder on my local SSD. No problem. Relaunched LrC and ran the Import process again, and again the same issue. Forced Quit again and restarted my Mac. Again, I tried to Import (Add) but again had to Force Quit when the Import dialog window got stuck. I restarted my Mac again. Tried Library > Synchronise Folder but it just froze and I had to Force Quit. When I cancel the Import process, I get a dialog box saying "no photos or videos were found to import" even though they’re on my loca
My lightroom classic crashed. I restarted my computer and when it opened back up it said my catlog was corrupt and I can not get it to open. So I followed online advice to move it out of the folder and then create a new one, but now all of my existing work is gone.
Thanks in advance but I am flustered. I have a Macbook for travel and a desktop PC for home. Recently cam home with about 950 images edited on the road with LR Classic. Tried to import this a few times into the catalog into my desktop. Each time, after hours of seeming to imp rt (scrollbar SLOWLY moves), get an error message and task is not successful. So then, I tried to export the laptop catalog to the external HDD without “negatives” and previews. The catalog moved to my external HDD. But, when I open it, all the images are greyed out. If I open an item under the develop module, it appears (complete with metadata and edits), but the disappears if another image is then opened. I don’t deem sable to get this catalog in a working state to the external HDD so I can move it to the desktop PC. Pertinent information…...folder exported to external HDD contains folder with images and .xmp files, {XXX Helper.lrdata}, {XXX.lrcat}, {XXX.lrcat-data}, {XXX Previews.lrdata}, and 3 files I

Please bring back the ability to have the AI evaluate your batch of photos and suggest what it sees as the strongest. I know the feature has been removed with the last update.
I’ve had a lot of photos where when taken they are blurry from the micromovements when taking the photo. It would be very good if there was an option where it fixes the blurriness.
On staring lightroom classic in windows it is showing missing sub folder link i have not changed any settings since last use

I am SO ANNOYED at why This happens EVERY YEAR. I have spent well over $100 on various USB-C Cables, some work for a bit some don't. The ones that worked well for a while were designed for the Oculus Headset, so they were high speed. Most Generic USB-C v3.1 / v3.2 cables will detect the camera on your computer, but then NOT WORK with Lightroom classic. My Setup #1 - MacBook M1 Pro (16gb / 1tb), Running Tahoe v26.0.1LrC v15.1 Camera RAW v18.1Cable #1 USB v3.1 designed for Oculus Headset- This worked Briefly with my Canon R6 mkii (mark 2), then fails at random under LrC- Sketch... LrC Loaded Tether, but stated "No Camera Detected" Won't See my Canon R6 mkiii (mark 3) under LrCIn Both Cases The OS sees the Camera. Cable #2 Tether Tools TetherPro USB-C Gen 2 Cable for USB-C v3.2- BOTH Cameras Seen by the OS, but Fail to Load in Lightroom Classic under Tethering- Sketch again, LrC Loaded Tether, but stated "No Camera Detected" Won't See my Canon R6 mkii
Hello,As many of you probably already know, there are major VRAM issues with the AI features in Lightroom, especially when using AI masking. The VRAM gets completely saturated and never properly frees up afterward. I’ve personally been dealing with this for three or four years now, and honestly, it’s making my life miserable. It’s seriously affecting my work. I do everything I can to keep things running properly: all drivers are up to date, I rebuild catalogs regularly, etc. But this is a problem I’ve been investigating for years at this point, and it’s becoming unbearable. So here’s my question:Right now, I have an NVIDIA RTX 4060 with 8GB of VRAM. Would it actually be worth upgrading to an AMD RX 9060 with 16GB of VRAM? Or am I still going to experience the exact same issues?I’m asking because I already upgraded my GPU two years ago, going from 4GB to 8GB VRAM, and in the end the problem basically stayed the same. I’m even seeing people with 24GB cards reporting similar issues. So in
I accidentally denoised a large number of photos in Lightroom Classic 15.3. Unfortunately Lightroom Classic stores the denoise data in the catalog blobs, so my catalog size on the disk skyrocketed.I unchecked denoise on the raw files and optimized the catalog, but it didn’t remove the denoise data from the catalog. How can I get rid of the denoise data to reduce the catalog size?Thanks-Lajos
When I use the AI feature in Lightroom Mobile, I select an area for it to revise, and it does its job by fixing that area. However, I wish I could modify the edited area after the AI has finished its work by using an erase or draw tool. For instance, in a rock garden edit, I might remove weeds or loose leaves, but the AI could select part of the model's foot in the process. While the rocks look perfect, the tip of her foot does not. If I like what the AI has generated and don’t want to lose that, I can’t fix the small flaw without losing the whole revision. I would like the ability to modify only the area I don’t want changed while keeping the parts I do like intact after AI generation.
We need batch auto straighten / auto level.. or some kind of sync option that doesn't just copy the same angle to all of the images. We can sync transform adjustments- why not auto level? And no- for my purposes- I do not want to use upright or level transforms. The warp the image. I just want to rotated the image by the 0.39 degrees or whatever without my subject matter being turned into parallelograms. Thanks in advance!
Woudl love to be able to select a previous mask when adding/removing. For example, I shoot a lot of lifestyle/product images on a Fjord in Alaska like the ones attached. I mask the beach, water, mountains and sky separately. When masking the mountains, it would be great so select background, subtract sky, then subtract pre-existent mask "Ground" and mask "Water" that I have already created. That would ensure a perfect boundary between the two and make the flow really quick.
A feature Lightroom desperately needs is scalable horizon alignment.Currently, the horizon straighten tool only rotates the image, forcing unnecessary crop loss. A much better workflow would be a “scale + straighten” adjustment, where Lightroom automatically scales the image slightly while correcting the horizon — similar to how video stabilization tools work. This would be extremely useful for wedding, event and fast-paced photography where framing consistency matters across large batches of images.Suggested improvements: Horizon straighten with automatic scale compensation Batch horizon matching between selected photos Reference-based alignment (using a previous image as reference) AI-assisted consistent framing for sequences This would save photographers a huge amount of time and preserve composition quality.
My Lightroom classic catalogue file has completely disappeared, file cannot be found, and all of the backups I have (on various devices) are not working. They are saying that the file is not writable and cannot be opened. Lightroom is working as I opened an old catalogue to test. It is this specific catalogue, and every single backup of it that I have that isnt there/wont open. This catalogue opened fine quite literally twenty minutes ago. I was getting a lot of lag while waiting for a mask to load (this is normal, my computer is slow), so I closed lightroom. When I went back into the folder to open the file, it was not there, and all of the backups weren’t working.I have: restarted my computer, scanned my drive for corruption, logged in/out of creative cloud.Images below show what is happening perhaps better than I can explain. Is it just better to create a new catalogue and import everything again? I have most RAW files still.
I do get massive artefacts (blue areas of rectangular shapes) when developing or exporting large DNGs with complex image processing (i.e. various AI functions applied) on my Apple M2 and Apple M4 Max machines (tested on both laptop and latest MacStudio M4). They disappear when turning of the graphics processor in Lightroom presets.Apple M4 Max, 64 GB Ram, macOS Tahoe 26.5Apple M2, 24 GB Ram, macOS Tahoe 26.5Blue artefacts show both in Library and Develop views, but with different shapes. In develop modules, they sometimes disappear after a minute (some internal refresh?), but unfortunately not all of them. The concerned images do have smart previews and are using virtual copies. They are based on compressed DNGs generated with DXOPureRaw v6 (from Nikon Z8 full resolution NEFs).I am running Excire Search 2026 v5 (latest) as a plugin in Lightroom.Unfortunately the blue areas are also showing in the exported files for printing. Please help as I am stuck now in my workflow...
My photo printed 11x13 with a white bar across bottom of photo. I need an exactly 11x14 printed to fit a frame. How can I do this to set it up in Lightroom?
