Lightroom Classic

I made a mistake and moved files and renamed them on my PC. LRc now can't find the file. Can I delete the catalog in LRc and import the new, renamed files? And, how do I go about doing it? Please, need help.

I am experiencing a critical issue with Lightroom Classic CC on my PC (Windows 11, 64-bit). Lightroom Classic does not start and gets permanently stuck on the splash screen at the stage Reading Preferences.I have already tried all standard troubleshooting steps, including:Restarting the PC Uninstalling and reinstalling Lightroom Classic CCManually deleting the Lightroom preferences foldersUnfortunately, the issue persists every single time, and Lightroom never finishes launching.This makes the software completely unusable, and I am unable to work on my photos.How can I solve it?

On Sony A7V, when I import the raw files in LrC and I move to the development tab then LrC pops up a message indicating that the files are either damage or unsupported. My LrC is on version 15.1, I also moved the raw files to a local folder but it did not work. Please help I'm leaving for a trip in 2 weeks and wants to have this issue solved before I leave. I've been using Photoshop and Lightroom for years and just noticed a keyword issue that I don't know how to fix. I use heirarchical keywords and see that if a child keyword is used, Lightroom was set up to include the parent keyword. I don't want that. This is easily fixed in Lightroom by editing the parent  keyword and unchecking Include On Export. My issue is that I have thousands of original .psd and .jpg files that also include the parent keywords. The only way I've found to fix this is to edit the Photoshop File Info and remove the parent keywords, saving the changes  and then in Lightroom do a Read Metadata from File. So far, so good. Now, say I need to make another change to the Lightroom metadata such as adding another keyword.  I do that, write the metadata to the file and save that change. Everything still looks good in Lightroom. If I now open that file in Photoshop, the Parent keywords come back. Somehow Lightroom remembers the original keywording s

LRC 15.1 Mac 14.8.3, I have a catalog with 25K+ files, now showing 20K+ 'file not found'. This is a recent occurrence. In the past, I have had a few files with the !, but 20k out of 25k?? Is anyone aware of similar issues, ideas on fixing? 

Hello, In LrC when I try to press the button Edit in Adobe Photoshop, it doesn't work at all.I went to the External settings and saw that photoshop 2026 is set as editor so it's ok. The main problem is that the button isn't greyed out, but clicking on it won't open PS, and don't do anything at all. Lightroom classic version: 15.1Photoshop version: 27.2 I tried to uninstall and reinstall them, or even following similar discussion here, but it still doesn't work. Could I ask if anyone of you faced the problem with the latest version? And give me a sggestion on how to fix it? Thanks

 If you look at the photo above (the DNG created in RAW mode looks identical), you'll see a lot of artifacts in the tree leaves and the ground texture. I've use LRC before, but not in the past couple of years. Was thinking of resubscribing - in part to deal with a few shoots that came out like this from the past year. Is LRC going to be able to do anything to help with this, or do I need to just presume I'm SOL on these shots?

HI, suddenly I can't import MP4 files (from two different cameras) into lightroom.  It has been working for years without issues until today.  The only thing that changed is that when I launched LR today it asked me to log in which it never does.I rebooted, updated to 15.1 LR, logged in and tried to import and I get the following message:  Any help would be appreciated.

I have an old glyph 8TB xtHD, 6-8 years old. It's beginning to make "loud noises" intermittently.  Just purchased latest 12TB from Glyph with 7200 rpm.  I am going to transfer 6TB of files (photos and video, etc.) to new drive.  Was told to use rsync on Mac for the job.  My main question is, when I re-connect my LRC catalog AND all files to the NEW drive, will all the paths be-reconnected automatically?  Or do I have to re-connect 1700 folders again?  I keep my main LRC catalog on a separate drive (with auto backups AND manual full backups) so not worried about loosing catalog nor digital files.  I have 2 more backups for all files.

I'm running LRC V15.1 and all of a sudden my Quick Collection button no longer places a photo in the Quick Collection folder. Any idea why?

For the past two months or so I have been having huge problems with LRC. At irregular intervals LR would slow down so much that working with it was impossible. Simply clicking a button would result in a delay of up to several minutes. Under these circumstances no editing was possible. I have discussed this at length on The Lightroom Queen forum (https://www.lightroomqueen.com/community/threads/lr-classic-15-0-1-slows-down-dramatically-in-a-session.53969/page-2#posts) and tried numerous suggestions, all to no avail. Now I think I may have found the culprit but rather than solving anything it just exacerbates the problems resulting in a right mess.I think the problem is with a corrupt lrcat-data file. Чищу кожу и прочие моменты на фотографиях в лайтрум классик. Затем вижу желтый значок и не сохраненный прогресс всех удалений лишних элементов. При кнопке обновить, криво получается, намного хуже изначально сделанного мной. Прогресс не теряется лишь если экспортировать сразу после удаления лишних элементов каждый кадр. Если вернуться к обработке позже, на каждой фотографии в моменте удаления стоит этот желтый значок, с зажатой клавишей шифт должно все обновиться, но результата нет. В итоге приходится вручную делать все заново

I recently merged a work project catalog into my master catalog. Now that I went to look at those photos in my master catalog, I get an error message saying there was a problem reading this photo and I can't make adjustments. This error message only shows on the photos I have edited and used the automatic denoise. I'm afraid I've done something irreversible with these photos. I also upgraded lightroom classic just before the migration so the project catalog was updated when importing the photos.

bonjour,problème depuis ce matin avec l'outil suppression des défauts, l'image passe en noir et blanc comme  lorsque on utilise l'outil masquage dans la zone détail donc plus moyen de pouvoir utiliser un des trois modes.

My Linear/Radial Gradient Mask no longer works with Exposure, Clarity, Hue, Saturation LR Classic 15.1 as of the last update. Worked before, now the slider is greyed out if I want to use those. Adobe says that activating GPU in LRC preferences is best for performance.I experimented for months, if not years, very slow perfs and photo display in the Dev module: up to 5-7 seconds to get the picture nice and sharp!!!After a bunch of checkings and interrogations I partially deactivated the GPU as show in the scrrenshot and restart LRC. The display in develop module is almost instantaneous!What is going on here? Macbook Pro M1, 16Go, catalog on an SSD, pictures on a HD, both connected via USB3.

Hello,As the subject says. No matter how I copy the catalog+photos(via external SSD and opening there directly, copying from the external drive to the Mac Mini's internal drive and then opening, through direct network copy, opening directly through the network drive) a lot of my photos break. Some photos have exclamation marks and when I click on them, it says that I won't be able to make any edits, or when this doesn't happen, when I click on a photo in develop mode, it simply states "An unkown error occurred" and I cannot do anything with that photo. Some other photos are completely fine, retaining all my edits and history. I also tried creating a new catalog then import everything from the old one. Same result. Hey guys, I have been doing real estate photography for a year or so now but never quite figured this issue out. Sometimes when I merge my HDR images, it comes up with these huge screen spots of blurry pixels and its unfixable, leading me to then merge the images manually. Is there a fix to this? 

Warum wird in meinem LR Classic (Version 12.5.2) im Modul Entwickeln das Menu "Objektivunschärfe" nicht angezeigt? Muss ich da was separat aktivieren / hinzufügen?
