Lightroom 8.5.1Windows 11 Pro, 24H2While deleting a large number of fotos I got the message "Lighroom ran into a problem with your local catalog and must either quit or restart". When restarting I get the same message. By inspecting from another PC I can see that the fotos are actually deleted, and not moved to the Deleted folder. Any workarounds?
As with all other updates you guys do screw up things that have been working perfectly before: this time it's generative remove that you've screwed.
I’m starting to use Lightroom CC and I’m having trouble with something very simple:I’ve downloaded various presets and have been switchiNg back and forth between a few but I’ve lost track of which image is using which preset and when I look in the presets list, there is no indication of which preset is being used. On other interfaces, you would see the preset name selected in bold or with a ✓ mark next to it, but there is no indication at all as to which one is selected.Am I missing something?
Lr will not let me edit anything and keeps shutting down, telling me there is a bug. I updated the app TWO days ago. I work on a Samsung Galaxy s9. As soon as i open a photo to edit it, it kicks back to main page. This is my career, I have galleries due to clients within days. I pay for premium and cannot even use the app. Please fix this immediately.
I connect my Nikon 850 directly to my iMac via usb cable to download pictures to Lightroom for editing. The Nikon 850 showes as "connected unit" in Lightroom, but when I clik on it to get access to the pictures, I get a message: "No pictures found"(Positively there are pictures on the memory card in the camera)What to do..? I get this error code "19650929" when I open the Lightroom app on iOS. I’ve tried restarting the app and turning off the iPad, but nothing changes.I have a lot of photos in Lightroom with presets that I don’t want to lose. If I uninstall and reinstall the app, I’ll lose everything. How can I fix this error code? Thank you ! Mathilde [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules.]
I have to use Lightroom very often to batch edit many photos for my photography business. There are some bugs that make keeping up with deadlines very difficult.1. After cropping an image, Lightroom will "forget" the crop and revert back to the original crop2. After using Remove tool, lightroom will also "forget" and my export will be without my Remove edit3. Batch "Denoise" is very slow and faulty. After using Denoise on multiple photos (10+) previews will appear pink and distorted on most of the renders, and I have to re-render. I have a few ideas for improvements too.1. I often have an issue with knowing if my edit's white point is properly exposed. Is there a tool we can get that can help us know that the final image is properly exposed?
Je n'arrive plus à exporter avec LigthroomAvez vous une solution?
Hello Everyone, A very silly question here, I purchased Lightroom and I figured that I had purchased Classic, but it seems like I may have purchased Cloud. Would y'all share with me how to change? Thank you so much. I did see a (switch plans) button but it seemed like I was cancelling for the same exact thing? There's little distinction.
According to online help: "In Lightroom for mobile, there is no direct feature to automatically add the word "screenshot" to the caption of photos", yet when selecting an image to add to Lightroom mobile the metadata Caption field is changed to "Screenshot". I want to know how can I stop that because it overwrites the caption that I add in the Photos app. The online chat agent says it does that to help me organize my images, but I don't want it to do that. How do I turn off the automatic caption over write with "Screenshot"?
Hi everyone, I’m experiencing very slow batch editing performance on my iPad Pro M4 using Lightroom. When I apply an edit to a small batch of 5 photos, it takes almost one full minute to complete the sync. This seems excessive, especially considering the iPad’s powerful hardware. Interestingly, when I try the same operation on my Samsung Galaxy Z Fold (Android), it’s significantly faster and seems to work more efficiently, even running edits in the background. I genuinely prefer editing on the iPad — the user interface feels more intuitive and enjoyable than on Android. But this issue is a real letdown and interrupts my workflow quite a bit. Is this a known issue with the iPad version of Lightroom? Or is this behavior expected due to how iPadOS or Lightroom handles batch edits? Would love to hear if others are experiencing the same, or if Adobe is aware of this discrepancy. Thanks!Quan
I work with LR latest version on a Asus Vivobook Pro (Windows).after hardly a minute the program crashes. Even only by scrolling through images in grid view (local).after a minute it comes online again but it keeps on crashing.I also have Bridge installed. Scrolling through images gives no problems. Was thinking Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 is root cause but crashing keeps happening even after shutting of GPU in LR settings.Any ideas what causes this? have deleted and re-installed LR many times.

Hello, I have a MacBook Pro 14" 128GB of ram, M4 Max chip (the highest model from Apple in France) when I use Lightroom my Mac overheats and the battery drains at an astronomical speed... This issue has been happening to me since around the last update. When trying to Add an Object to the Mask, Lightroom freezes during Detection of the Object Selection. I've waited several minutes for the Selection to load, it has led to unexpected crashes, or just not making a selection for several minutes and I cancel the process.Version: 8.5.1 x64 [ 20250821-1548-c6398d5 ] (Aug 21 2025)Platform: Windows 11Lightroom Desktop
Paid for Lightroom Mobile premium. Can't access any premium features. The app says that it has expired but Apple subscriptions says that it is active and will renew!
I saw that there is already discussions on this topic in the community. However, the solution recommended by Adobe is not applicable, as all buttoms in the Lightroom App / Imports / ... Photos, Screenshots, Videos are already switched off, but the sync of iphone photos into Lightroom continues. Secondly, if I want to delete photos in Lightroom, which are syncronized with from my iPhone photo app into Lightroom, I receive the message that these photos will also be deleted from all apple devices including my iphone, which I - of course - do not want. So how can I avoid this? Can you please help me with my Lightroom sync problems? Thank you! Thomas.
The Lightroom CC getting started tutorial states that the default setting on the radial gradient tool is to apply the adjustments 'outside' the 'radial'. If you want the adjustment to apply 'within' the 'radial' you would click 'invert'. However, on my version (4.2) the default setting is to apply the changes within the radial, and if I click 'invert' the changes apply outside the radial. I've been unable to locate where I can adjust the default setting for the radial gradient tool. Can anyone help or explain why my tool is acting in the opposite to what's described/demonstrated in the tutorial?
How do I create a contact sheet in lightroom or in Photoshop?
Hi, I accidentally bought wrong package pf Lightrrom CC. I tried to unsubscribe in many ways but i failed. I hope @Adobe will response to my request ASAP. Thank You.
I have shared an album on the web and solicited people to provide likes and comments. I would like to filter in Lightroom on the images that have likes and comments. Is there a way to do that without looking at each photo individually? Thanks,Michael
Hello, I just tried to upload a picture to Light Room app. It's saying allow access to camera roll. I go to settings like y'all informed people to do. Clicked privacy and went to photos and camera... there's no apps there that are requesting. I'm kind of at a loss of what to do? Thanks for your help {Moved from Lightroom Cloud to Lightroom Mobile Forum by Moderator}

Every time I open lightroom on my Mac book it closes down with this error message There’s an issue with your system clock. To continue using Lightroom on this device your system clock must be within 24 hours of current time. We recommend that you check your system settings, adjust your clock, then relaunch Lightroom. I have checked my system clock and it is correct and set to the right location. I have run the check as advised and no issues were dectected. How do I resolve this problem? Thank you
