P: (MacOS26) Photoshop v27.5 & later extremely high GPU usage from the WindowServer processInvestigating

I have several M1 Macs—from Mac mini to iMac—and they all have the same issue. Whenever I open Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign, even if I don’t do anything, WindowServer will jump to around 80–90% GPU usage. Once I start working with files, even just opening a single image, the whole system becomes choppy and starts dropping frames, with GPU usage almost maxed out.But : if I switch the app to full-screen with menu bar mode (press F), the window shadows disappear, GPU usage drops back to normal, and everything runs smoothly—even with large files open. This makes it pretty clear the issue is related to how window shadows are being handled in macOS 26 and how it interacts with Adobe apps.It’s been months since Adobe 26 came out, and I’ve been waiting for updates to fix this, but even the latest versions still haven’t solved it. Extra Space around Photoshop Artboard when exporting

I'm doing a graphic design and for some reason I keep getting extra white space around my photoshop artboard when exporting. I've tried everything but the issue persists. There's no extra content outside of the canvas and there's nothing to suggest the canvas is larger than the artboard itself. Split a color photo to black and white layer and a color information layer

First of all, I want to colorize old black and white pictures. I think that the neural filter doesn’t do what I am looking for.So I came up with the following ‘solution’.I ask Gemini to colorize the picture. That works really well. But Gemini alters the poses, eyes etc. a little bit. I don’t want that.Than I was thinking of: is it possible to open the Gemini colorized photo in Photoshop, somehow extract the color to a layer, discard the Gemini picture, open the original photo and use the color layer just created op top of the original picture. No changes to faces, poses or other stuff.But how I searched the net, no satisfying answer. Is there a way how to do this?Gr. Christiaan

Work with "sensitive material" when the rights are clear

Sometimes, photographers, artists work with nude models and also want to use AI to improve/modify images as they would do with all the already existing features in the standard application. The issue is that your AI is too restrictive in such cases, considering sensitive material where thes is none or where the rights to the material belong to the photographer. Can you not find a way to allow these interaction when the legal clearance of the images is possible?

Hi everyone, I would like to report this explicitly as a bug report, and I kindly ask that it not be converted into a question. The behavior is reproducible in my setup and, from my point of view, affects WinTab support in Photoshop 27.6. After updating to Photoshop 27.6, WinTab still no longer works reliably. I need WinTab because pen input is much smoother and more precise with it, especially when working with sliders, numeric input fields, and Photoshop UI controls in general. Reproducible behavior With WinTab enabled, Photoshop 27.6 freezes as soon as I move the brush size slider. Important detail:The freeze happens even when I move the slider with the mouse, not with the Wacom pen.To me, this strongly suggests that this is not simply a Wacom pen issue, but a problem in Photoshop’s WinTab handling itself. Denoise AI set - ability to set default value.Open for Voting

Please add option to set the default value for Denoise AI, i find 50 is overly high i use about 10-25 max most time i want it at 15, but every time checkbox next to Denoise AI is clicked it defaults to 50 making whole photo look like wax, i know some people like that, but there should be a choice. because Denoise AI is resource hungry thng and sometimes fiddling with it too much crashing my Photoshop even though i have 32 GB or RAM and video 8 GB. Then every time i move the slider i have to update the AI Edit Status which is another reason Photoshop crashes and progress being lost. I am not reporting crashing issues because its been like this for countless versions, only need to be able to set default value for Denoise AI.

Latest Br/ACR/PS on Lenovo Ideapad PRO 5i. Profiled and color managed workflow.Open raw file into ACR, embed Adobe rgb, open in PS with Adobe rgb workspace and colors have about 20-25% more saturation and contrast (and slight cyan colorshift?).My main editing is done on an older HP desktop and Dell monitor, works fine with same color settings. Free transform - Warp icon - Photoshop 27.10

Since updating to Photoshop 27.10, I can no longer find the Warp tool icon and Reset icons where they used to be. It seems we now have to go through menus to access these functions, which adds extra clicks and slows down the workflow.Could you explain why this change was made? These commands are used frequently, and making them harder to access feels like a step backward in terms of usability and productivity.Could the options bar be made customizable, or could these icons be restored somewhere easily accessible? I’d also like to know whether this is an intentional change or a display issue in this version.

Camera Raw doesn't highlight the filters applied

Situation: Camera Raw doesn’t show the blue highlights with filters applied to a photo. So if I apply a filter to a photo in Camera Raw it highlights blue, but once I close the photo again and open it again the filter is still applied to the photo but the blue highlight is gone. So there is no way for me to see which filter I previously applied. This sometimes also happens when I just switch between the open images in Camera Raw. My system:MacBook Pro Pro M3 Mac OS 15.8.0Photoshop 27.0.Camera Raw 18.6. Photo in example below definitely had two filters applied but no blue highlights show up if I open the raw file again, even though the filters are still applied.

Please give us the ability to view and edit 360 degree photos (spherical maps) in PhotoshopOpen for Voting

I understand that rationale (more or less) of removing the 3D features in Photoshop and making them their own set of applications.  But being able to view and edit a 360 degree photo in Photoshop is BARELY a 3D tool.  In point of fact, everything needed to manipulate and view that image can be done using standard mathematics, and neither Open GL nor Direct X need be involved. No one will be buying Substance to work on spherical maps. And Photoshop is the perfect place to work on spherical maps for use elsewhere, including the Substance suite. Please give us an ability to work on spherical maps in Photoshop, where it makes sense.

Generative Fill yields error message "Something went wrong..."

Hi all, in Ps 26.7.0 I am unable to get generative fill to work. It stopped about a week ago, yielding the orange error message. I'm in Windows 11, build 26100.3775 I open a file - tiff or RAW makes no difference, and - as I have done repeatedly and with success in the past - used a selection brush to select some powerlines in the background of my image, click on the "Generative Fill" box, then tap the "Generate" button. The progress bar sometimes approaches 100%, but never quite gets there. I have tried preferences resetting, uninstalling Ps, and (obviously) different file types. The end result is always the same. I've searched the forum for other posts, but found nothing helpful. I am not a professional, and am far from being thoroughly experienced in Ps, but I can get by. If omeone was to post a link to try, I am competent enough to follow what's there. Given the lack of other posts of a similar nature over the past week, I'd guess that the issue is more or

The frustration of FILE TABS!Open for Voting

I'm sure like me, you all have multiple Photoshop documents/projects on the go at the same time. Well as soon as you get to around 5 or more documents open at once, the tab list of documents no longer fit across the toolbar.It's also equally frustrating that the active tab you're currently working on doesn't just display the name of the psd, but also displays the name of the currently selected layer (like I care), the zoom level (why on earth?!) and the colour mode (meh?). I'm confident that there are ways in which Adobe could change the layout of the tabs and I have a few ideas which could work. Let me know what you think. And if you have any other good ideas, leave a comment: Note, I've listed these in order of 'usefullness'.
