Photoshop

I have created videos using Photoshop for the past 8 years or so (Windows 10). Never had any issues. Until today. First I noticed I could no longer render videos as the option Adobe Media Encoder is disabled in the render video dialog. Then I updated to version 25.11. Now even the option to add video layers is disabled (i wanted to add a new video layer from file). I can still add time lines via the motion view, but, when I try to render a video, the Adobe Media Encoder option is disabled like before. The last time I rendered a video was end of May. Then everything worked just fine. Why are those options no longer available?  

Hi!I set up a good performance pc:- 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-13700KF- Motherboard PRO Z790-A WIFI (MS-7E07)- 64 GB RAM- three 2 GB SSDs Nvme Gen4- AMD RT6800 video card with 16 GB of VRAMWith the latest versions of Photoshop (from 24) though, when I use Adobe Camera Raw for auto-mask, correction tools, etc, the software starts to lag, sometimes freezing for a few seconds, always.Analyzing the performance of the video card, I can see that the graphics memory occupancy percentage is almost immediately at 100% and from that point on everything jerks and slows down.I enabled the GPU and checked all the boxes in the advanced settings, chose the non-system SSD as the cache unit and put at 70% RAM to use.Is this my problem or does it happen to anyone else?I bought a new computer specifically to handle the new PS features, but...PS Version 25.5AMD driver 24.2.1Windows 11 ProThanksAndrea

Hello,I know that the answer is probably no, but it never hurts to ask, especially that the feature seems useful and somehow basic.My goal is to use a smart object as a mask, which allows me to modify the filters that are attached to it to change the mask at any time. let's say it has sponge+threshold filters and I want to be able to adjust the threshold value to change what's shown or not on another layer. the smart object's pixels themselves shouldn't be seen at all but it should simply act as a mask.I thought that setting the smart object as a knockout layer and removing the blacks from it using blend-if would achieve the result, but the knockout option still sees it as completely opaque.

Recently I got issue in Photoshop particularly with Nano Banana Image generation model in Photoshop new 27 version. From yesterday when I used the Image model it's giving me the result but I don't know why it's changing the size so I had to resize the generated image according to base layer. I thought maybe it's anything wrong happened with syncing issue with creative cloud... So I used the Creative Cloud Cleaner tool and the uninstaller tool. After that when I reinstall the creative cloud app I noticed I get another issue with creative cloud with slowing loading and it's gave relaunch error... Somehow it's open but now the beta tab got missing in creative cloud app. Also now I got one more issue with wacom device option in the illustrator and the auto recover stopped working in illustrator... Gave always alerts about that. This situation really wasting my productivity time.

Hi there,  I'm interested to understand if there is a way to automate/detect the areas within this image that are showing as black? It's a photo from a drone that is missing the sky and a few areas beneath it. I can manually lasso the areas and have AI generatively fill them, but I'm wondering if there's a command or way to interface with Photoshop that allows the platform to analyze the image and identify the areas where there is the black fill.  I have a feeling there should be a way to ask the AI component of the tool to identify the black areas for me. Has anyone heard of something similar?    Thanks 

I have followed any/all the leads as to location of my Photoshop library assets on my PC.  I would appreciate some clarity; are the assets only "in the cloud"?  I've sure spent a ton of time looking for actual files because of wording that says they are available offline.  Maybe this could be explained fully or maybe, I am just missing something.Thank you.

When I use generative expand, the extended image is not as high-res as the original. Great for smaller size outcomes or digital but I hate it for print. Victor Garcia- MAX25

Was the Place Embedded speed key (CTRL+SHT+P) eliminated in Photoshop 2026?

this has happened twice now. not sure if its a bug or not but last time it happened i had to restart my photoshop. it's super annoying and doesn't go away even if i select something else.

I accidentally deleted a couple of gradients from my Gradients > Basics group.  Is there a way to restore them? 

Anyone have information on what the purpose of this executible is?

Hi all, I am attempting to make a map of an area for a gift.  I stitched together 60 tiles from google earth.  On photoshop you can clearly see the differences in the shading/color that appear in straight vertical lines (see attached).  Does anyone have any advice on how to best blend this together so that it looks more uniform? Thank you

Creating on PhotoShop, using a PNG or JPEG art file what is best to then print out.I compile various artwork  and can use either a PNG or JPEG file to create the PS page.   I then print the finished product using a 12 color ink jet printer.   Do PNG or JPEG files print out the same ?   thank you

Prior to August 2025, I just needed to click on pic and it would go away.  Have I accedently selected a setting that caused this.  I am currently updated on versions.  Any suggestions

Happy Halloween! I'm hoping to get some insight to see if there's an easier way to produce the desired results in this image.. I'm using this shape as a clipping mask for my text (as seen in the top image example).  The desired end result for the text will be stylized like that in the bottom image example. I ended up converting the text to a shape and manually adjusting the path along the outside edges of the letters (where the mask clips the letters) so they have more of a rounded profile like the original font. But doing so is more time consuming than I'd like... This being said, is it possible to: 1.) Somehow trim the portions of the text outside of the clipping mask so the text paths will only show inside of the cliping mask? 2.) Is it possible to simultaneously round the sharp text profile to give it a roundover like I manually made? I know Adobe Illustrator has that ability. I'm not sure if I should be working between the two programs. I ju

Hi All! The surf board shape is my track matte for my text. As you can see, portions of the red surfboard are still visible but I don't want them to be. Is there a way I can hide the portion of the track matte that aren't being covered by the text? Thank you so much!
