Photoshop intermittently behaves as if the Shift key is being held downFor nearly five years, I have occasionally experienced an issue where Photoshop suddenly behaves as though the Shift key is being held down, even when I am not pressing it.For example, when I use a transform shortcut, Photoshop repeats the transformation as if Shift were pressed. When I merge layers, it sometimes merges all layers as though I were holding Shift. This happens despite the Shift key not being physically pressed.Pressing the right Shift key once temporarily restores normal behavior, but the issue eventually returns. I have been dealing with this problem for about five years.I have also found several older posts describing the same issue. Is the Photoshop team aware of this bug? Is there any permanent solution or workaround?*This post has been moved by a moderator.
I have rarely used generative AI in the last year as I find Firefly to be subpar and won’t pay extra for the partner generative engines when I can use Gemini for free. In fact, I have never used all 250 monthly credits from my Photography plan since this feature was offered. However, I wanted to use it today and low and behold, all of my credits were gone. Contacted customer service via chat and after passing me on to at least five different agents all asking me to repeat my issue and spending over 1.5 hours on the chat call, they did not resolve my issue and basically just stopped responding to me. I provided all the proof that they requested and here I am with still 0 credits. Does anyone have a suggestion on how I can escalate this to someone who can truly help? I am beyond pissed with Adobe right now. I’ve been a subscriber for years even though my usage is at a minimum in the last year or so. Thank you for any insight.
To get it back, I have to use the menu Window > Uncheck CTBar, and then use Window > Check CTB. Every time I get the CTB back, I pin it. This only happened when version 27.5.0 was released.
Basically idea is when you set, let’s just say 100 megabyte to file size, export as automatically resize the image according to ratio of the image. This feature would be a really nice time saver.
Suppose you have a simple image of an object like a teapot. You would like to be able to use this image to create several stencils: one of the bowl and spout, another of the lid, and a third of the handle. What steps would you take within Photoshop in order to turn your image into three such stencils?
ESTOU TENDO PROBLEMAS PARA EXPORTAR PRANCHETAS NO PHOTOSHOP, alguem sabe sobre esse erro?
I currently have an AMD desktop with AMD Ryzen 5 5600X processor, 64GB memory and NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1060 6gb graphics card. What do I need to add to use the AI Sharpen tool?
I have drawn a property line on my drone image using the polygon tool. It will not save as a jpeg with the lines still there. How do i save it so the lines show up?
Hello,I have encountered what appears to be a GPU-related rendering bug when converting RGB images to CMYK in Photoshop.SystemPhotoshop 27.8 macOS Tahoe 26.5.2 Mac Studio M2 Ultra Apple Silicon GPUProblemWhenever GPU acceleration is enabled, converting an RGB image to CMYK produces severe black rendering artifacts across the image. The artifacts appear immediately after the color conversion and make the document unusable. The issue occurs with multiple images and is fully reproducible on my system.Steps to ReproduceOpen an RGB image. Make sure Use Graphics Processor is enabled under Preferences > Performance. Convert the document to CMYK (either Image > Mode > CMYK Color or Edit > Convert to Profile). Large black artifacts appear throughout the image.Expected ResultThe RGB image should convert normally to CMYK without any visual corruption.Actual ResultThe converted image contains large black rendering artifacts that were not present in the original RGB document.WorkaroundDi

After updating Photoshop, the application crashes whenever I open large PSD files (over 500 MB). I have tried restarting my computer, resetting Photoshop preferences, updating my graphics driver, and disabling GPU acceleration, but the issue still occurs.Steps to reproduce:1. Launch Photoshop.2. Open a large PSD file.3. Wait for the file to load.4. Photoshop freezes and then crashes.Expected result:The PSD file should open normally without crashing.Actual result:Photoshop becomes unresponsive and closes unexpectedly.System:Windows 11 (64-bit)Latest Photoshop version
That’s a pretty big issue: Open a file Edit it launch Image Process using the same folder of the opened file as targetAt end end of the process all opened file get closed, withouth asking for saving.I’m getting pissed off about this, every release one fix and two regressions.
Please revert the changes to the hand tool. It’s been a while since it was changed but I really miss the old one. Or make it a toggle feature. I don’t like how it scrolls with the box now and I liked how clean the original hand tool felt.
I'm reporting what appears to be a GPU rendering bug in Photoshop.I recently purchased a new HP Omen laptop specifically for Photoshop work, but I'm experiencing a persistent graphics issue that only occurs in Photoshop.SystemHP Omen Laptop Windows 11 AMD Ryzen 9 8940HX NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU AMD Radeon 610M (integrated GPU) Photoshop 27.8 (also tested with 26.11.6)IssueRandom black horizontal lines appear only inside the Photoshop canvas. The artifacts usually appear while:Moving the mouse Panning the document Zooming Moving or transforming layersThe important detail is that the artifacts are limited to the image canvas only. The Photoshop interface (menus, panels, toolbar, etc.) remains completely normal, and the artifacts never appear elsewhere in Windows.I've attached a screenshot where the black line is visible only inside the canvas.Sometimes the issue becomes worse:Photoshop freezes. The screen briefly goes black. The laptop suddenly restarts. There is no BSOD.Importan
There’s a new feature for the Remove Tool in PS 27.7.0, which allows for a local AI model that can be used “offline” and doesn’t require credits. It’s described here: I meet the hardware and software requirements. Tried downloading this component / addon multiple times since yesterday, in PS and in CC App, but after 30-60 minutes the download always interrupts at 48% and it gives the error message “unable to extract files” and “error: code 127”. CC App lacks the basic function of resumable downloads, it always starts from the beginning. I have 630GB of free space, btw, so that’s not the issue. I did all the AI chat suggestions like deleting the Adobe temp folder contents on my root drive, giving full permissions for the folder, adding an exclusion for the folder in Windows 11 defender - none of that helped. Wasted a full hour in the chat with a human (?) or “human” agent that did not understand what the issue is, giving me completely irrelevant suggestions like “this feature does not
Reference to the previous thread:https://community.adobe.com/bug-reports-711/bug-report-photoshop-27-6-wintab-still-broken-photoshop-freezes-when-adjusting-the-brush-size-slider-1559478 After Wacom Support officially confirmed to me that this bug could be reproduced in Photoshop and had already been reported to Adobe, I would like to open a new bug report referring to the previous report, which was subsequently converted into a question. At the same time, I found a workaround that allows affected users to continue working with current Photoshop versions, Wacom tablets and WinTab instead of Windows Ink. Why WinTab is important to me Using WinTab with Wacom tablets eliminates a number of serious usability problems that I experience with Windows Ink. These include, among other things:lagging or jerky sliders difficult input in numerical fields intermittent loss of pen pressure, especially when switching between applications additional input problems in Adobe applications and partly at Win
Thanks to everyone who took part in our previous SFTW259 ‘lock gate’ challenge. This week I heard Bob Marley’s ‘Stir it up’ and, once that ear-worm had taken hold, I had to base our starter image on something connected. I found this whisk as a 3D model, in Adobe 3D assets, and I textured it using Adobe Substance Painter. The challenge is, what can you make with the whisk? The “rules”:Use the starter image as at least part of your own image entry. Anything goes, as long as it meets the forum rules on decency, copyright, etc. Anyone, and everyone, is welcome to have a go, whether you are a complete beginner or a Photoshop expert. This is not just for our forum “regulars”. The challenge is not limited to Photoshop. Any Adobe software can be used. There are no prizes apart from the chance to practice, show off your skills, or bring a bit of humor and fun. Don't be shy, join in and have a go! The starter image is made available for you to use in this forum challenge only. To download the star
I couldnt use photoshop for six months unfortunately. I was using the simple tools last year. But its freezing now. When I try to paint ım waiting because of lagging. In my opennion my computer is enough for photoshop software. I attached my computer’s spesifications. What is the solution?
During my daily use of Ps, a pop-up just came asking me if I’d like to dismiss dynamic preview while Manual Transformation on a Dynamic Object with Dynamic Effects to optimize performances.I miss-clicked and accepted, which led me into not being able to foresee what my layers will look like from now on while I manually transform them.I thought it was ok and I’d just reset that option that isn’t suitable neither useful for my use of Ps and therefore went into the Settings panel.I went through literally every single item listed in every single folder of the Settings panel and nothing matched this option and could help.I then decided to completely reset Ps settings, closed it and re-opened it ; it wouldn’t work again.I had to uninstall the software and erase any user preferences to reinstall it and recreate my Workspaces to make it work like it did 2 days ago… EDIT : I created a new document with a simple square and a shadow cast effect, worked fine.I re-opened my documents, tried to modi
Adobe Photoshop Version: 27.4.0 2Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit When I go to Image → Canvas Size, the default is always pixels. I want it to be inches. Note: I have checked in preferences, units and measures, and the default is inches. Also when I go to image → Image size, the default is in fact inches, which is what I expect. Is the default unit for image → canvas size now different? Is there a different place to set it? thanks
Since a short period I have the an ‘unwanted’ effect in Photoshop. When an image is on screen, I regularly want to adjust the image borders (I mean the borders of the screen that holds the image) to reduce that screen with the image. During this action, the image itself also gets temporarily smaller and afterwards retakes its original size on screen. I’m losing time with this effect and it is also disturbing.I would like to know how this effect can be switched off.Adobe Virtual Assistant suggests I should deselect the Resize Windows To Fit option, or that I should deselect the Zoom Resizes Windows option, but this doesn’t work.So which Photoshop option would control this effect?
This bug has been reported before, but persists, making editing arduous. It only became a problem recently, so I feel it is a version issue, say after 25 or so. I have not downgraded as of yet, but may have no choice. After a few touch ups (nothing major, like skin blemish), the tool will freeze and then memory use will ramp up until entirely maxed out (64 GB). I see it in the Task Manager graph. After about two minutes (if a person was willing to wait), a dialog box pops up saying there is no more memory to complete task. When closed, I can save the image and proceed. This has happened each and every time I edit an image and I cannot go more than 5 uses before this happens. I contacted support over the phone and was told to increase memory usage under performance. I does not help and resetting preferences also does not help. This issue needs to be fixed as I feel the remove tool is one of the core tools users now rely on. If it would be helpful to d
