Photoshop

When I make a selection and choose “remove” Photoshop takes a long time to consider and then informs me I need to check my internet connection. My computer (Mac M4 Max) is up to date and has sufficient RAM and I have strong stable internet connection. This problem seems to be pretty persistent. Other AI options seem to be working but remove isn’t.

Hi all,I recently the blue screen of death on my computer. Thought that i created a restore point the day before installing CS6, but nothing was found..  I guess, i’m wondering if i’m down to 1 computer that i can use now? No way to remotely remove dead computers? Nothing shows up in my active devices in my account. If i am sol.. This sucks. We paid a lot of money for our copies of CS, that are legit and not pirated. Yet we can’t install it locally or remove devices that we can’t physically deactivate them on? I could go on this rant for days, if i understand correctly that you get 2 devices and then your key is no longer good, and you have no ability to remove dead computers.. I own my copy, at the same time i don’t own my copy? wtf??… -_-;; Anyway, any clear answer on if i’m sol on that device would be helpful, or if there’s a way to activate the full version locally since it pushes you to login after typing in the key.

 Since updating to version 27.6.0, the "Quit" shortcut has been grayed out, and the program cannot be closed "manually" either. I have to "force quit" it completely. Is this a new feature?  

Hello Adobe Photoshop Team,I am experiencing a serious performance issue in the latest version of Adobe Photoshop while designing photo albums.My workflow is very simple:1. I create an album layout/document in Photoshop.2. I drag and drop a photo directly from my drive into the Photoshop album layout.3. The photo is placed correctly on the canvas.4. When I press Enter to confirm the Transform operation, Photoshop takes approximately 10–15 seconds to complete the operation.5. During this delay, Photoshop becomes unresponsive/very slow before completing the placement.This happens even when placing just ONE photo at a time.The important point is that this problem does NOT occur in an older Photoshop version. The same computer, same type of album workflow, and same type of image work normally in the previous version.Important Version-Specific Finding:I have tested the exact same workflow on different Photoshop versions. This behavior is EXTREMELY annoying and is one of the reasons I use Affinity Photo application instead of Photoshop.  There is absolutely NOT reason to keep a file lock on a file that I have closed from Photoshop.  When I close a file, the file lock should be released, not doing so if violating Microsoft best practices. Don't even start to suggest this is for "better performance" due to poor coding ethics/techniques. The ONLY way to release the lock on the file is to exit Photoshop complete and wait about 2-5 minutes for it to release the lock.  This IS NOT acceptable and violates just about every coding best pratices that exists over the past 40 years (I'm a senior software engineer, so I do know coding best practices).

Everything was working fine, but now I am unable to use the generative fill feature in both Photoshop and Illustrator, as it says "Please check the internet connection and try again". Attaching the screenshot for your reference. Would be great if someone could help.Thank you 🙂

Having experimented with Generative AI in Photoshop over the last weeks I am genuinely puzzled why at times the resultant will follow my instructions with fair results, at time be unable to translate my instructions to the image, and disturbingly often ignore my instruction entirely.To add to that it often generates 3 version of the mess it makes, thereby ‘costing’ me a substantial load of my credits, or worse extra credits I have paid for in addition to those in my Pro plan. A recent test was a lounge scene where I selected the couch (besides the only couch in the fairly plain scene) and asked it to change to the colour to a particular hex colour and a particular material. In addition I asked that those instructions aside the scene does not change in any way whatsoever. The result: it removed the couch entirely. And for this I lost a substantial amount of my DAI credits. 😖Why? Edit:I’d also like to add that I Adobe a) can clearly see the results are neither saved nor exported and b)

Today’s update to Photoshop V27.10 still leaves the On Device remove tool unusable on Windows 11 with an RTX 5080 with 16GB VRAM and using the latest driver. Version 29.0 worked perfectly and quickly months ago, but since updating to the current version, the tool fails. It stalls for minutes, forcing the CPU to handle object removal instead of using the GPU. Subsequent removals have the same long delays. Happens on both my workstation and laptop (RTX 4090) Switching to Cloud-based processing works, but what happens when using Photoshop somewhere without Wi-Fi or hotspot access?  The same issue applies to the current Beta version to which I have reinstalled Beta 29.0 on my laptop to be able to use the On Device remove tool in isolated signal areas.

Is there a way to hide and unhide the Contextual Tool Bar with a simple keyboard shortcut? I need to always quickly open and close the tool bar.

Generative Fill / Expand does not work in Photoshop 27.10.0. Generative Fill either fails with an error or remains stuck on “Generating…” indefinitely.The exact same computer, Adobe account, network connection and files work correctly when using the previous Photoshop version.I tested Firefly Fill & Expand, Firefly Image 1 and Firefly Image 5. All of them fail or remain stuck in Photoshop 27.10.0.Adobe Firefly in the browser works correctly.After reverting to the previous Photoshop version, Generative Fill / Expand immediately works again.This strongly suggests a regression in Photoshop 27.10.0 rather than an account, network or document issue.

This happens everytime. Restart and it keeps doing it.
