Photoshop

Can not export any legacy formats.I have enabled photoshop 2021 in the systems security permissions for full disk access and the same for files and folders and accessibility, after having read some of the previous advice on here for older versions of photoshop and OS, but to no avail. An error message appears every time I try to save for web legacy - It's an animated GIF I'm trying to export. An incredibly frustrating fault that needs to be addressed soon!    {PS-75070}

When using the tool, it either completely removes my image (and when I save, it saves as a grey image) or it just says it does not work. I am on the latest version of PS so what is going on?

After I installed Windows 11, Photoshop 26.10 isn't working anymore. When I open a photo from ACR in Photohop, Photoshop is closing. When I open PS without loading a picture: toolbar and adjustment layers are gone for example.  When I open a photo with file-recent files it's loading the photo, but still no tools. The only thing I can do now is working with the older version: 25.12.4.All specs are OK: GPU (nvidia Geoforce RTX 3070, 8GB, updated), RAM 32GB. Help! I've in a a big project, I need Phtoshop every day! Please dont't ask uninstall etc., this has never worked before ;-/

Hi, I teach a class where my students have to submit to a site no more than 4MB per image. I told them that the best software to edit and check accurate size is Photoshop and showed then where to look for size, crop... HOWEVER, one student decided to use Google slides and it load the image well on the site, but Photoshop says the image is 33MB ?? and when I right click the image on my iMac it says 963 KB.....How can this be???  I'm attaching both screen shoots of the same image opened on regular "i" from iMac and the Photoshop....completely different lecture...  The questions is WHY THEY DON"T MATCH? and WHICH IMAGE SIZE IS RIGHT? Thanks for any valuable feedback in advance. 

My best friend is a fine artist.  Watercolor, acrylic and mixed media.  A local print company scans her watercolors beautifully ... because they are flat.  The scans of the acrylic and mixed media are AWFUL ... the paintings are on canvas.We want to have prints (5 x 7 and 8 x 10) and notecards made with the resulting images.  We have a lightbox and a tripod.  Using a high-megapixel camera, we can come SO CLOSE to getting good reproductions.  I have the full Adobe package.  I've been trying to work with the files in Photoshop.Can you recommend some links, or offer any tips?  Thank you!

This would have been about 10 years ago. It was created by a gentleman from New Zealand, I believe. But he has sence disapeared. Does anyone have any thoughts or leads for me?

The tiny black x-y coordinate indicator gets in the way when I'm adjusting a path. How do I turn it off?The attached image explains it better, sinceI'm not sure the right terminology, and there are several parts of the interface that could count as an "x-y coordinate indicator".Thanks!

Hi all,I'm working on macOS with Photoshop 2025 and would like to back up and import my workspace (app layout).Despite my research, I haven’t been able to find any answers. The files don’t seem to be in the Application Support folders as they were in older versions of Photoshop.Could anyone advise on how to locate and back up these files?Thank you! 

I often see a faint line around a selected object when I add it to a document.  It doesn't seem to matter which selection method I use.  If I activate the layer mask I can remove it with the brush tool.  This can be tiresome in an image with many layers and sometimes they don't show up immediately but can appear on zoom in or zoom out.. Is there some way to avoid this?

Hi, I'm masking an image in Photoshop v 26.9.0. I removed the background of the image using "Remove Background" from the properties panel. It's giving me the layer mask. Whenever I double-click the mask layer to do refinements on the hair part, the Photoshop software crashes instantly. Also I tried Select --> Select and Mask (Alt + Ctrl + R), but the same behaviour is happening again and again, Photoshop software is crashing instantly. Please give me a solution. Bonjour,Sur mon pc j'ai un disque C où est installé Creative cloud et Windows, les autres applications Adobe sont installés sur mon disque D. J'ai fais une réinstallation Windows qui est sur mon disque C mais je n'ai pas supprimé les applications et fichiers sur mon disque D et lors de la réinstallation de creative cloud, il ne détecte pas les applications, il me propose de les réinstaller alors qu'elles sont bien fonctionnelles. Est-ce qu'il y a une manip pour que l'appli creative redétecte mes applis ? Sachant que je ne trouve pas la possibilité de les désinstaller depuis leur dossier d'installation.

Hi, I have an Adobe account and a subscription that I've already paid for. However I cannot use the Adobe Photoshop app. When I try to use the app and edit photos, the application tells me that I have to renew my subscription (but I already renewed it at the beginning of this month (September 3rd)). Hello, I wanted to reach out to see if anyone could help teach me how to tighten a tie.  I am a graduate student at Ohio State University and haven't taken photoshop since 8th grade. This is valuable for me becuause I'd like to use for my LinkedIn and other platforms. 

Just here to give my feedback as a daily user of multiple of your apps... This UI update is not it; it has no benefit. It kills my workflow because I have to reread the simplest menus because you made them more diffuse, less intuitive, or changed positions slightly. You know that many of your customers work by muscle memory, right? You know that such changes are slowing things down in the daily process? I wouldn't say anything if a UI update would actually have a benefit; it doesn't. Looking forward for a legacy option. 

When I merge down with the regular shortcut, E, it will merge three layers in a row instead of two. I have to back up the history to just merge one layer into the one below, and not have merge down an extra layer. What is happening? This happens every other time-ish. When it is doing the glitch and merging many, I can't get it to stop.

As the subject title suggests, if you have brushes in folders and subfolders and whatnot that are currently open, if you close Photoshop in the latest version (v25.2), they will all be collapsed down into their folders. This is really annoying because if you've been working a lot with a specific folder of brushes you'll have to navigate back to that brush set every single time you close and reopen Photoshop. Previously the way it worked is that it would keep your brush panel in whatever state it was in when it closed when you open it again. This means if you had speicifc folders collapsed and others expanded (showing their brushes) then they would remain that way until you manually collapsed them yourself. This is a massive quality of life issue for those of us artists who use a lot of brushes and have our brushes neatly organized into folders-- because it makes it difficult for us to continue where we left off...Can someone from Adobe please comment on this? I'd love to know that its

Hey everyone this is a issue that keeps happening for me and I can't figure out what it is or how to fix it. The issue is my library is showing up in the libraries panel but all the elements in the library are greyed out and I can't open any of them or drag them into a document. Sometimes restarting my computer fixes it and sometimes (like today) it doesn't. Does anyone know what this issue is/how to fix it?Any insight is appreciated!

Hey everyone, my actions that are linked to javascript files now sometimes have a "Javascript code was missing" error message when I run them as buttons. when I run them out of button mode they work fine and if I press the button again after the error sometimes it runs the code (sometimes I have to press the button 4 times and get the error 3 times and it runs the fourth). I am running photoshop 26.10 on Windows 11 I have tried:Re-recording the action so I know it has the correct path to the js fileResetting my preferencesRestarting PhotoshopRestarting my computerReinstalling PhotoshopDisabling 3rd party pluginsReistalling the action set I have also been getting "Could not complete your request due to a program error" when I run Automate>Batch>JavascriptAction with "Save and Close" on but I'm hoping fixing the action buttons will resolve this too. I don't think it's a permissions issue or a file path issue if playing the action works but the button mode does n

It's available on my Mac but not on PC.  Why?

I'm opening a .jpg file of a scanned old photo in Photoshop and trying to use the Photo Restoration neural filter. After selecting it, I see a progress line for a moment and then it stops and a message comes up saying that the filter is temporarily disabled due to an error. I closed Photoshop and tried again, same result. I tried it in Photoshop Beta, same result. I reinstalled Photoshop and tried again, same result. I looked through these forums for an answer and saw the advice to delete a folder to force the app to reinstall the filters. So I tried doing that, same result.  For good measure, I opened the file on my laptop and got the same result again. Both machines are Windows 11. Both had the drivers for the video card updated earlier in the day. And in all cases I was using the most recent version of Photoshop or Photoshop Beta. The photo does include recognizable faces as I can use the Skin Smoothing neural filter.

Same!  And my scroll bar stops working (I can't scroll left or right on the image).It just started happening too, not sure what's going on.  Photoshop 2025.  And I know this is an older post, but its the EXACT same thing.  Tools stop working and I have to close and reopen.Pain.

Hi guys,I have a script to open JPGs and now I need to adapt it to open PDFs.I'm getting a "wrong type of enumerated value" error exactly because of the way I'm working the PDFOpenOptions (line "open(fileList, pdfOpenOptions);").I found quite a few scripts that define pdf open options just like I did, but in all of them the root path was hard coded (I need it dynamic).So, where am I going wrong?
