Print on Epson  xp-900 gives program error and will not print on latest update of Lightroom, Lightroom Classic, Photoshop 25, and Photoshop Beta. Image prints out Ok on other programs Windows 10

I've been trying to insert a picture to 36x26 blank template and adjust the the image to fit the template And save it as png. I want to automate the process because I've to add around 1000 images but every time I'm creating an action I'm running into some kind of error like transform not available, or just files are not getting saved. Please help me out I'm new to photoshop and I need this project to be done by the end of this week 

I purchased photoshop for one reason: to improve old black and photos.  They are not damage. They are just small, low resolution, slightly out of focus, grainy, photos.  The results of my improvement attempts are disappointing.  I assume photoshop would do a better job than the free software that comes with windows.  I'm assuming the problem is not with photoshop. The problem is with me.  Not looking to watch a 10-hour program that might have the answer. Does anybody have any recommendations on a video that would help me improve the look of an old small, low resolution, slightly out of focus,, grainy, photos. I've included a small sample of the photo. Thank you

when I open files , the title bar shows 'filename @ 100%(RGB/8#) ' ,but when I creat layer ,the title bar shows 'filename @ 100%(layer1,RGB/8#) ',If I creat a words  layer and have many content , it will shows 'filename @ 100%(wodscontentwodscontentwodscontentwodscontentwodscontentwodscontent,RGB/8#) 'seems layername in the brackets.And the title bar will fill all big width of file title bar and I cant choose other files.Can photoshop don't show layername on file title bar?

Macbook Pro M1Max, Sequoia 15.1, PS 26.8.0, healing brush tool (command J) I've started to see this in the last few versions, but it feels much worse now than before. And that is the healing brush tool not really working well. For years now it's been amazing. It's been in fact magic at fixing things like stains and hairs in tears in photographs. But today I'm working through hundreds of photos, and I'm reaching often for the clone stamp tool where I shouldn't need to.  Sometimes it's sampling from areas away from where I brush, not just adjascent. And sometimes it's just not doing anything at all in areas that should be easy. Like a hair in a dirt road. but it just doesn't do anything. Or a stain in a blown out sky, and it just doesn't do anything.  Sometimes if I brush back over the same spot a few times it will work, and sometimes not. I'm also seeing bluriness, and sampling from other areas.  Anyone else experiencing these kinds of things?    

I use Edit > Generative AI to fill in areas around the edges of an image or to remove unwanted items. I do not use it to add objects that were not in the photo to begin with. The resolution of the AI fill is very poor. Is there a way to get better resolution patches when using Generative AI?

Photoshop 2025 keeps closing after about 30 seconds. 

Sorry for my bad English. Recently, I've been having issues with the Shape tool in Photoshop. Previously, when I used a shape, its color would always match the foreground color I selected. I could also quickly change the color using Coolorus to see which color fit my design best.However, after updating to the latest version, I can no longer do that. Currently, my foreground color is blue, and it only applies correctly the first time I draw a shape. On the second attempt, even if I change to a different color, the shape still stays blue. Each time I draw a new shape, it creates a new layer with that same blue color.I want to draw a different shape in red, but the shape always comes out blue—so I often have to manually fill the color after selecting the layer.Is there a way to fix this issue? I’ve tried installing different versions, uninstalling and reinstalling Photoshop, but nothing has improved.

Photoshop version 26.8, Windows 11Laptop has an Intel Iris Xe gpu and a 13th gen Intel core i7-1355U For over a year now (ver. 24.x), standard image sizes, like 1920x1080, have had abysmal performance. The response from a simple draw with the brush tool clearly lags behind, and zooming resembles a slide show, rather than a smooth transition.Previously, this type of lag only occurred with large image sizes, like 50,000x20,000.Various performance settings, reinstallations, and updates have not fixed this issue.Attached is a blank preset with one new layer. Scrubby zoom and pan is a slide show.

Hello! I am switching from an old computer to a new one. The new one has the following system information: - RAM 16GB, - graphics card 4GB, - Processor 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 - 11800H@ 2.30 GHz, - Windows 11 Home, 24H2 (updated). I can use Photoshop normally on the old computer, but on the new one, after successfully installing Photoshop, the following information is displayed: "Some of the application components are missing from the Application directory. Please reinstall the application." I have uninstalled and reinstalled Photoshop several times - I have done this in different ways, but the program still does not work. Please help. Thank you.Sonja

How can I turn off all the popups. New feature, cloud, AI features, bla bla bla. They all look like pop-up ads and I need ad-blocker. Some tooltips I know how to turn off.

This is true for both the mainline and beta versions. The last usable copy I can run is 25.3.1 And thats only after enabling deactivate native canvas in the Technology previews tab, an option that has since been removed in any version after this one.   Why has this been removed, it was the only solution I had.   My specs [Attached]   To elaborate a bit, any newer version of photoshop (that has the deactivate native canvas option removed) slows to a crawl, using 100% of my CPU, as if it doesnt want to use my either of  my GPUs doing simple things. My GPU's pass the compatibility check, and is enabled in the preferences, yet when I go to do simple tasks such as zooming in/out, the framerate drops way down, and maximizes my cpu usage. Trying to paint is laggy as well. Pretty much anthing will cause it. It does this even if I disable my GPUs. (individually, or together)   Its frustraiting because I like the new featers addd since, but I cant enjoy any of it really.

In the German version of Photoshop 26.7 I see a double assignment of the short cut Shift+F5. Normally Shift+F5 is the short cut for the "Fill..." (in German "Fläche füllen...") function. This is also how it is described in the appropriate documentation.   But if I press Shift+F5 the Expand... function from the Select - Modify menu will be executed.  I take a look on it and found there's a appropriate action in the action set "Befehle".   This should be a default action set because I don't import such a set.   My workaround it to delete the actions short cut and then configure in the Keyboard Shortcuts dialog the key for the Fill function. But here I got the message "Shift+F5 can be assigned actions that override this keyboard command". I accepted the setting and it work for me.   But I think this can't be the normal behavior and should be fixed. It only affects the German version.      

In past I have on some computers had more than one copy of PS. I think even now on a couple I have more than one version. After installing 26.8.0, I've found some annoying bugs. I want to install an older version but not remove the current one. This will allow me to do some comparative testing.  But now I get a message that the previous version will be removed. This didn't used to be the case. How can I install more than one version of PS on my comptuer?

When panels are docked side-by-side, one can drag them around as a unit with the bar at the top edge, but the resizing grabbers on the bottom edge remain independent. Is there any way connect them, so hat the whole block can be re-sized at once?

How to disable the appearance of the input method code when pressing keys in non-input state?This question seems to be for “non-English input methods” only.In PS, if the current input method is English, and it is non-input state, you press the key, it will point to the shortcut key.But if you are using Chinese input method, even if it is non-input state, when you press the key, it will show you the input code of Chinese characters. This is unnecessary and annoying.All non-input states should point to the shortcut key. This seems to be a common problem with windows, it doesn't take care of input methods other than English.Only the browser will correctly monitor if it is currently typing or not.It would be great if Photoshop could fix this as well.

When I set the input method to Chinese, Pressing any letter key will bring up an input window. I had to switch back and forth between input methods. Very affect the work efficiency. The problem has a long history, It's just that very few people ask questions. Hopefully this will be resolved in a future release update. Hi ...again,Today I have the following problem:I have a smartobject with smartfilter and have to transform it freely (Control+T). Nothing special, works like always. But the smartobject has a mask on the smartfilter. This mask is not transformed at all. It sticks on the right position when I move the object, but it refuses to do anything while the layer is tranformed. Since PS CC (19.1.4) on PC is a big collection of bugs, I can't decide if its another bug, just adobe's ignorance for usability, or if there is an option I have missed. This action is also totally ignored in adobes smartfilter-tutorial (I wonder why... ;D ). Turning the smartobject into a new smartobject is not an option since the new smartobject is calculated from the size of the inner object and not from the original source anymore. It seems whenever I work with a base layer that isn't jpeg, like svg or png, most of my tools disappear and stay gone when I open a jpeg again. I tried all the standard solutions, making sure photoshop is up to date 26.8, updating my graphics card, making sure "tools" was ticked, setting on "essentials" workspace, checking all tools are loaded in "edit tools." I also did a photoshop re-install. Do some formats like svg or png not offer full tools? The only way I can recover them is either by reopening photoshop or in some cases full windows. 

I'm trying to use the Neural Filter (Restore Photo) on my M2 Max Macbook Pro, and it's extremely slow, taking 3-5 mins to render a single image. I tried exactly the same image on a friend's Windows PC (14900K + 4090) and it only took about 10-15 secs for the same image to render with the Neural Restore filter. I know the 4090 is obviously much faster, but I can't imagine the MBP is 10x slower.  Is there something wrong with the software? Maybe it's not using the GPU somehow? I already checked the settings, that GPU acceleration is enabled. I tried both the PS Beta, PS 2025 and PS 2024 versions.

Could you please tell me where to delete Photoshop cache or some other temporary files to free up space on the C drive?

Previously when i would select the rectangle shape tool I could click on my document and a box would pop up where I could define the size of the rectangle/square I wanted. This doesn't seem to be working anymore.Now when I click, a random sized rectangle just appears. When I say random, I mean I didn't chose the size but if I click again the same size rectangle appears again. If I try to click and drag to draw a rectangle, this same rectangle appears and just moves as I drag, rather than enlarging.Once I have this annoying rectangle I can resize using the free transform tool but it makes the whole thing much more difficult when I need a specific sized shape.Hoping this is an easy fix as it's really frustrating!

Hi, everyone!At my work, our computers are currently equipped with an Intel i5 7400 processor, 16 Gb of 2400 MHz RAM, and an Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti graphics card. Most of the time, we need to run three software applications simultaneously - Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign - and over the past few years, these computers have been struggling to handle that. So, I'm working on getting an upgrade for our PCs.For now, I'm considering an Intel i5 14400F processor, 32 Gb of 3200 MHz RAM, while keeping the current graphics card. My question is: Is the graphics card relevant for running these programs, or is the GTX 1050 Ti with its 4 GB of VRAM still good enough?
