Photoshop

I am trying to get GMetrix to work on photoshop but it just doesn't seem to work at all. Either it doesn't work on my MacBook because it thinks it doesn't have permission from admin (me), it doesn't work on my school's computer lab desktops (which is weird because it works great on the desktops for this specific class), or it doesn't work on another windows laptop just because. The closests I ever got was changing the version of photoshop to an older one but even then it crashed and froze and never showed any of the tests questions or anything. I tried contacting tech support and my professor but they have not been the best help and I'm running low on options.

Hi all! long time photoshop user here - I've had issues lately where photoshop uses a lot of temporary space on my main hard drive (c:/) and will sometimes try to "overfill" my computer.  I've tried setting the scratch space to a different, external drive (d:/) , but it is still putting temporary on C:/  Last night being a particularly bad case, where I had over 100gb of free space on my C:/ (remember scratch is set to D:/ and the drive IS connected and functional). Set a batch of photos to denoise over night and come back to 0gb space, unable to save any of my work, and had to restart my computer. Which erased the temporary data and now I have my space back... Has anyone been able to fix a similar problem? 

After I have updated Photoshop to v. 26.6, the issue is that when I have two documents open, normal bitmap pictures, and I use the pen tool on one of them, suddenly it jumps to the other picture! I have found out, that working on the first opened picture are okay, but working on the second opened picture, the pen tool jumps to number one, and back, and loosing the path.I'm on Windows 10, and with GPU driver updated.I can also see that shifting between documents with ctrl+tabulator, are not working normal anymore.I was very eager to try the new features in 26.6 (I'm not a BETA man), so I upgraded at once it came, butI must say that I have regretted! And by the way..... I know that this is a user forum, so does anyone know how to report such a bug to Adobe himself........ I have spend a lot of time to find the way to do so, but out of luck! RegardGert Laursen

I just updated it but it's hidden under the image like that, I have to click close to the edge of the image to get most of it out. Is there a way to make it show up on the image? Thanks You !

I'm waiting for Smart-Objects improvements for years now and nothing happens. Are there any plans to work on them any more? This would be much more important for productivity than all the AI-nonsense we have seen lately.Here are the biggest issues (at least for my workflow) ...*) Let us define the scaling interpolation for Smart Objects. I still have to go into Preferences, change the interpolation, re-apply the transform every time I want to change it. That's not really great.*) Have blend modes from inside the Smart Object being kept as they are. I don't want my "Multiply" layers turned into "Normal" ones when I convert my layers into Smart Objects.*) Speed improvements. When working with many Samrt Objects the performance goes down significantly.Maybe there's somebody at Adobe who shares my frustration. It's about time to do something about this. Take a break from AI.

When I update Photoshop, my bought actions go away. Someone said to "preserve preferences." I can't find that. Can anyone help? Thanks

I guess Adobe updated or something, but now there's 2 icons for every program I own, one that says 2021 and the other 2022, what's up with that? Each opens independently. Is each program consuming twice the memory space too?! How do I fix this or is it something adobe needs to take care of? Hope you can help, thanks.

Win 11 Pro - PS v25.1.  After new version installation while using the Removal Tool the Progress bar opened and froze. I had to press Cancell but noticed that Photoshop was using 99% of pc RAM (that is 64GB of DDR5!). I had to close PS and after a minute memore was freed.  While working for approximately 2 hours (with heavy usage of Removal tool) it happened 3 times. It also created a System Log Event  [Windows successfully diagnosed a low virtual memory condition. The following programs consumed the most virtual memory: Photoshop.exe (22276) consumed 180014268416 bytes, chrome.exe (2680) consumed 517480448 bytes, and steamwebhelper.exe (16200) consumed 328593408 bytes].Note: A friend also mentioned to me her pc crushing after using Remove Tool in v25.1

I just cant get it working it´s greyed out. People tell me on google to log on to behance and update my DOB, but it never works. Adobe definitely drives every one crazy with such nonsense. Terrible.

That seems patently false. I say this because much of the topics being discussed are tasks I've successfully done in Photoshop. And even subsequently opened in Illustrator. I frequently think there's mass gaslighting or people just don't know. Maybe I'm confusing the questions, the responses, or my own experiences. I'm trying to get the photoshop pen tilt functionality to work with my surface pen. I'm on the new Microsoft Surface Pro 2-in-1 Laptop/Tablet (2024), Windows 11 Copilot+ PC, 13" Touchscreen OLED Display, Snapdragon X Elite (12 Core), 16GB RAM, Im using the ARM version of Adobe Photoshop CC and the Slim Pen 2.  I should note that Pen tilt works great in a number of other apps including Adobe Fresco and Concepts. I've updated all of windows and ran the surface diagnositics app.  I see a little caution triangle in Photoshop next to the Pen Tilt setting in brush settings. Has anyone had any luck getting this to work? Any help would be greatly appreciated. This was the entire reason I bought a surface pro. Thanks.

Hi Guys. I want to buy a new laptop for photo editing and video editing. I have some good options lined up. The laptop I am leaning towards is Lenovo Ideapad Y700 because it is within my price range. But the screen resolution is 1920x1080. I understand that 4k displays have more pixels than fhd and tend to produce sharper images. But I want to know if the fhd will be enough for me. Does the 1920x1080 screen have any limitation or drawback? Is there something I can't do with fhd laptops that I can do with 4k displays? Also I understand colors seen on some screens is not the same as the colors that appears on prints? Are the colors seen on 1920x1080 screens similar to what I'll see in prints? Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

Hello, It's the second time today (different photo) that the Object Selection Tool (ObSeTo) stopped functioning.I am getting the error message: "Couldn't find an object to select. There might not been enough edge contrast, or the object might be too small." In general ObSsTo has still many issues. I am selecting something and it deselects the area that I had just selected! Even though it has a different color, which makes me to go back and re-select that area, again.

In the bottom right of this photo, there is neon purple color that is shining on the otherwise golden architecture of the inside of this hotel (Mariot Marquis hotel in Atlanta, GA). I want to get rid of the purple and replace it with the same color pixels as the rest (orange/gold). I am not sure what tool to use. I tried the healing brush but it changes the pixels and not just the color! And desaturating purple just leaves an unappealing white blob. Please help!    

Hi,I’ve seen multiple users report this issue over the past few months: the Delete key only works occasionally (around 1 in 10 times) when using the Lasso Tool.I only found one developer/moderator reply, but the suggested fix didn’t help.At first, I tried closing overlapping UI panels, and even Spotify, Firefox... but that didn’t fully resolve it.The only solution that worked for me was rolling back to an older version. I'm currently using version 26.0, and the issue is gone.I hope the dev team can fix this soon, it’s been going on for nearly a year.Thanks!
