Photoshop

I'm on the latest version of Photoshop CC 2019.  I select custom shape (I want to create a talk bubble) but my basic shapes seem to be gone.  All I get is Tree Leaves, Wild Animals, Boats and Flowers...what gives? I tried to reset default shapes and it just gave me the same choices.   

What is the best way to transfer Photoshop Settings, Presets, Actions, etc, to a new computer?  It looks like some cloud-based sync was available that has since been discontinued. "Preset sync in Photoshop 25.0 has been discontinued and the feature will no longer be functional." Is the information found here still the best way to do it https://helpx.adobe.com/ca/photoshop/using/preset-migration.html ? Certain things seem to be missing with this method like scripts, workspace, etc. 

I am teaching an Animation 1 course and have the students beginning to animate in photoshop using frame-by-frame drawing in the timeline tool. When trying create something like a simple loop, I want to be able to copy a frame and paste it to the end of my video layer so I can have a seamless loop. However, whenever I try and copy a layer it creates a new layer instead of copying that "frame" to the video layer on my timeline. This feature has worked in the past and this newest update seems to make it even more hit or miss. I am frustrated and so are my students?! Process I have tried:-Selecting with Lasso Tool AND Cmd + A to select my drawing-Moving my playhead forward on my layer and pasting in place ( Cmd + Shift C)-everytime it just creates a new static layer. (See image for what it does when I paste) Any idea whats going on here??

Hi,If I place in a non sunny scene a Kodak Q13 colour card and greyscale and take a correctly exposed photo..If I want to make that photo with such in it , lets call that the CP, (conversion photo)match that of that card photographed with correct exposure at midday under a cloudy sky ( i.e the correct photo of it without colour casts etc), lets call that TP (target photo).I would like something like, click (sample) on the yellow on Q13 in TP then on same in the CP.repeat for the magenta, then  the blue then the brown and and so on and the grey area.hit match and the CP gets changed to the colour balance saturation etc of the TP. Also most useful when photographing scale models in existing room light without flash then trying to adjust colour balance of image to be that of model in daylight. Furthermore if I have a rusty bar in the CP and a reference picture of rusty bar as the TP, convert the CP to that of the TP so both rusty bars match.why a rusty bar, I have a brick w

I have a layer stack containing a smart object. I cropped the image, discarding unused pixels. But the smart object still contains those pixels. How do I apply the same crop to the smart object's contents?

The latest version of Photoshop hangs when I try to open a raw file (.dng and .arw).  Apparently the new Photoshop can't open the Camera Raw plugin, as I can open a .jpg file directly into Photoshop. This problem occurs both when I try to open a raw file directly in Photoshop and when I try to open the same file through Bridge.  I am using a Dell XPS 15 with a fully compatible GPU and plenty of memory and hard drive capacity.  I have used this computer successfully for years with earlier versions of the program.  The steps outlined here do not solve the problem:  https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/troubleshoot-crash-or-freeze.html

I've used 'select and mask' for as long as I can remember, but it doesn't work now.  When I circle and area and click on 'select and mask' I get to see the selected area.  When I (for example) feather it using the slider, the image fades nicely at the edges, increasing as it should when I move the slider right.     But when I click on 'OK' I get back to the image with nothing feathered. This is how I have used it for decades without problems.  Can any one help or explain?

Moving objects between different artboards is bugged. If something falls partially outside the bounds of the artboard, it will remain on that artboard in the layers panel, until you try to resize or move it, upon which those objects will disappear, and go to other artboards. This action isn't recognized by the Undo action, making it impossible to correct mistakes and forcing me to do more work re-aligning everything. This is kind of antithetical to the entire purpose of artboards, and it's not how objects/artboards behave in similar Adobe environments. To reproduce:-Move a group containing multiple objects from a large artboard to a smaller one-Objects are correctly listed in the smaller artboard in the Layers window-Move or resize the group, and any objects touching the edges of the artboard will disappear from the group-Using Ctrl/Cmd+Z will not Undo this

Actually in all Adobe's I use ( AI, PSD and Indesign ).With the dialog box open to either SAVE, or OPEN...etc., hitting the ENTER key has no response, and I have to roll the mouse over to the button and click in order to finish the command. This happens all the time, but not every time. Tried many reset, reinstall, even contacted Adobe support but still no solution.  Wondering if any other Adobe users on Mac OS has the same experience, and any fix to it.Thanks.

Hello, I'm trying to add nutritional text info to the bottom part of a standup pouch mockup to look realistic like in the images attached. Tried Vanishing Point (text disappears when pasting), regular Transform, and Warp Text, but can't get it to look natural.  Any tips or tutorials that could help? Thanks!

This is so ludacris how far you guys want to deep dive into AI generative fill. To the point I cannot just simply adjust a crop on my layer without the program constantly forcing a fill. Can we remove this, its making my work flow with photoshop 1000000 times harder now. Thank you,

Since the last, or second to last, Photoshop update I'm having problems with the library. For example, when using downloaded artwork, the app does not locate the file's assets. This makes it impossible to edit the files and whenever I try to resize them or move elements to another file it appears. the following message: "Could not transform because the file was not found." Has anyone had the same problem or can help me?

I use Windows 10, and Photoshop Version 23.0.0Today, I downloaded the newest Photoshop Update. Afterwards, not a single brush worked anymore, so I followed Adobe's instructions and reset the tool preferences That worked fine on some of the brushes, returning them to my original preferences, but it completely destroyed all of the ones with specific settings, like Kyle's Grid Foil (I am translating from the German name, sorry if it's not called that in English.) Instead of drawing a fixed grid of dots, this brush now is a single, large solid mass of colour, exactly like the standard circular brush. So I downloaded a new set of gridded brushes (Kyle's Manga Pack), thinking those would come with their own presets, and override the previously erased presets - but they didn't. They apparently lost all presets as soon as I downloaded them. They are all the same now. No grid, no pattern, just big blobs of colour. I would really like to get those brushes back, but I have no

Помогите разобраться с проблемой!На MacOS установлен Adobe Photoshop (выпуск 22.2.0)Задача: Преобразовать кучу файлов из RGB в многоканальный профиль.Делаю через Автоматизация - Пакетная обработка с помощью заранее созданной Операции.Проблема: На каждом файле при применении операции возникает окно в выбором профиля, нужно перевыбрать уже выбранные многоканальный профиль (иначе почему-то применяется профиль Grey) и нажать ОК. При этом теряется смысл автоматизации, так как это действие придётся делать несколько тысяч раз.Прошу, подскажите решение данной проблемы! Спасибо!

Expected result: steady image inside the resizing window as it is in Photoshop 24.Video Demonstration I also tried to reset preferenses - problem still accures. I was working in Photoshop 24 before that, because it was the last stable version, but soon it won't be an iption to install it, as you do not allow intalation of versions that are too old. So it installed the latest one, which, before a patch, was just crashing. It is so sad, that new versions became worse and worse. 

Hello,I have a client request for a print of one image in 3 slices.  Original photo was upscaled to 16926 x 11284.Final dimension of photo should be 97x236 cm per slice (291x236 cm in total).I didn't add bleed, but each side is about 2 cm larger (will be covered by frame). It needs to be exported as PDF. I put the photo in PS and dragged it to fit the frame, used View-Guide-New Guide Layout and made 3 slices. Since Save for web is not an option in this case, I've created another background/separate file with dimension 97x236 cm and copied the sliced layers to it separately and exported as PDF.  Is this a correct way to do it or is there any other better way? Thanks!   

Help needed!Sudernly I can't open my RAW's anymore on my IMAC.  Updated photoshop, reinstalled it nothing is fixing the problem. 

I cannot uninstall Psd 2024 , when I choose uninstall Creative Cloud seems to uninstall it but I can still see it in my Programs from my PC Settings and it occupies more than 9 GB of my PC space. I have read comments that say reinstall Psd 2024 and then uninstall it again, but this isn't available to download anymore on Creative Cloud. Where can I find this app or is there another way to get rid of this app please ?

Hi,after years of using CS6 I hope 26.2 has the tools I have waited for.I need to select at least three points on the source photo and then the same points on the target photo and hit the 'go and orient and scale distort' button to have the one photo married to the other one. typical use, I have two photos of a brick wall that need bringing together, I could take much time to rotate, scale, distort, keep turning layer opacity up and down, try again, until eventually it fits, and my trick is to create a layer, link it then trace a feature, turn off the visibility, repeat for the destination picture, turn off vis on the image and marry the lines drawn, any move of the line takes the photo with it. turn on vis and they marry, or so we hope, but moving the dustort tool is a nightmare , what matched on point 1 then moves, like three puppies on elastic leads, still a lot of faffing about.Such as I describe above has got to be doable by some clever developer coder. and boy oh boy wouldnt

Hi!I am using Photoshop for drawn animation. I am perfectly aware that PS is not animation software,but I need to animate in it with my students nevertheless.I am using "video time line" option in my timeline, not the "frame animation" option.When I enable the keyboard shortcuts I can move to the next frame with the arrows.The issue is that I have to click on the next layer as well. It is not selected automatically.Is there something like "Select follows playhead from Premiere Pro" in Photoshop as well?Any workaround?

Hi, I need a perfect circle with a specific brush (spray brush, customized) . I know that If I draw anythng with pentool I can apply any brush on that using 'stroke path' . but I was wondering if I can do that with shape layer which is drawn using a stroke. can I convert this shape's path in a way so that I can apply taht stroke path option? Please guide me. Please.
