As described, if I leave any Adobe app open and I leave my Mac on sleep, the next day I need to force quit all Adobe apps left opened since they are all frozen.OS: macOS Sequoia- V.15.3

Hello,After updating to Photoshop version 26.10, I noticed an unexpected change in the behavior of the Free Transform tool.In previous versions, Free Transform would maintain the aspect ratio by default when dragging from the corners, which is the workflow I’m used to. But in version 26.10, the object now transforms without keeping the aspect ratio unless I manually hold Shift — and sometimes the behavior feels reversed (Shift toggles the opposite). This has made the workflow confusing and less practical.- I already checked that “Use Legacy Free Transform” is unchecked.- I also made sure the link/lock icon (Maintain Aspect Ratio) is active in the options bar.- Despite these checks, the issue persists in version 26.10.Could someone confirm if this is an intended change in Photoshop 26.10, or if it’s a bug that needs fixing?I really hope Adobe restores the previous default behavior where aspect ratio is preserved automatically, as this change is very disruptive for design work.Thank you.
I’m facing an issue that I’ve been trying to solve for the past two weeks. My computer is compatible with Photoshop 2022, but when I try to install Photoshop through Adobe Creative Cloud, it tells me that the current version is not compatible with my system. The problem is that I cannot find the option to install older versions within Creative Cloud.I’ve searched for solutions and read many articles, but none of them worked.I’m looking for a real solution to this issue, or a way to download a compatible version of Photoshop. If possible, I would appreciate a direct download link for Photoshop 2022.
I’m experiencing a weird, ongoing issue.Intermittently, when I open up a PSD file in Photoshop, a separated ‘Help article’ window on the Adobe website opens in my browser (in the latest case: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/desktop/text-typography/get-started-with-text/add-text.html#update-text-layer)I’m certain it’s not a mis-click, and it’s been happening for a number of months. It’s usually when I first open photoshop, and choose an existing file from the Home/history screen.I found an article about it possibly being a Registry Issue, but that seems like a slightly different issue, and is within Acrobat, rather than Photoshop.Useful details:Windows 11 Photoshop on latest version Issue intermittent (i.e. doesn’t happen every time). I haven’t discerned a specific pattern. I can’t recall if it’s this same help article each time, sadly.Any help appreciated!
The resolution of the generations created in Photoshop is significantly lower than when creating the same generation directly on the Gimini 3 website.
When I try to modify a photo is says there is an error
You see when I use the selection tool it just keeps painting my objects with magenta. But the thing is that I'm missing the marching ants here and the auto selection which was enabled by default going together with the marching ants and it allowed to either to select a certain area or to deselect it, and it basically knew what to select... Now here's this manual brush-like selection which isn't smart!I tried to turn on the selection edges in the settings, but as soon as I start painting again it gets back to default disabling the marching ants and yeah auto selection with it
I can’t seem to find a functioning download link for the Photoshop action ‘Toon Artist’. Please help.
Yesterday everything was as usual in Photoshop… today when I create a new file it automatically creates an artboard with a layer. I don’t want that. I can’t figure out how to stop it from happening. I know I can create a new layer in the Layers panel and then delete the artboard but that’s just an extra step. Is it me, or is this something new in Photoshop?
During normal manual use, the following steps work without any problem:Select Layer → Remove Background → Generate BackgroundHowever, if I record those exact same steps as a Photoshop action, then reopen the same image and play the action, Photoshop fails every time with:“An error occurred while generating the image.”The important point is that the exact same workflow works manually, but fails only when played back as an action. This looks less like an image or prompt issue, and more like a problem with Photoshop action playback together with generative AI.If anyone has seen the same issue or knows a workaround, I would appreciate any advice.[Moved to Photoshop ecosystem by a moderator]
I have to do the key command to show guides every time I open a new document in Photoshop. It started when you updated Photoshop to show the Firefly prompt on the start screen. That feature used to be persistent until you turned it off, not require that I do it every single time I open a new image.
Hi, please check the video for the issue
When saving a JPG from menu > Save a Copy the file is saving with the date of the original PSD file and not todays date. As far as I can tell this only affects JPG files as the PDF and PSD I saved from the same PSD file have todays date. I have seen this many times before and in several versions of PS. This makes it hard to find files when filtering by date. The JPG was saved from the PSD I saved as a new version today as well, that didn’t change the date that was saved on the JPG.
Hello,I’m looking for recommendations for a PC for running CC apps (specifically Photoshop and Illustrator). I just need recommendations as to what processor and RAM to order. Our printing department desperately needs a new PC but myself and the design team are all Mac based and have no idea about PCs. They need a PC because the RIP software they use is PC only. To give more perspective, they will need to adjust artwork at times but they don’t design as such and they will never be doing any video editing or 3D etc, it will be Photoshop and Illustrator that they will be using the vast majority of the time. Thanks in advance.RegardsDave
Hi there, can update the Photoshop 27.5 Version and make it better like in 2.74 Version also my photoshop keep frozen can you update the 2.75 version Thanks Kevin
After installing the latest update for Adobe Photoshop, I’m having consistent issues opening CR3 files. When I double-click a CR3 file (which should open in Camera Raw), Photoshop either:Does nothing at all, or Shows an error saying it can’t open the file type, or Starts to open, then completely freezesWhen it freezes, Photoshop becomes unresponsive and cannot be closed normally. I have to force quit it using Activity Monitor.Workaround (temporary):If I open Photoshop first and then go to File → Open, the CR3 file will open correctly. However, this is much slower and disrupts my workflow.Expected behaviour:Double-clicking a CR3 file should reliably open it in Camera Raw without freezing or errors.System Info:Camera: Canon EOS R5 Mark II File type: CR3 (RAW) OS: macOS (add your exact version here) Photoshop version: (Help → About Photoshop) Camera Raw version: (Photoshop → About Plugins → Camera Raw)Additional notes:This issue started immediately after the most recent update. Prior to th
Ever since the update to Photoshop 2026, I can no longer set my default for opening .webp files in Photoshop. When I right click to "Open With" only Photoshop 2025 pops up but when I click that, it doesn't work. I tried remapping through the Default Apps panel, but that doesn't work either. I have tried uninstalling Photoshop, restarting, and re-installing. Still no luck. (I'm on Windows 11).
Using Photoshop 2026 on Mac mini running Mac OS Tahoe 26.4 & I can't do anything... currently trying to use the eraser tool on a mask to refine some edges but I either get the spinning beach ball of death or nothing happens at all. Even just trying to make the selection to create the mask, every time I clicked the mouse it was just a spinning beach ball. I can't get anything done… I’m getting spinning beach balls just trying to close Photoshop. My Mac mini is fully up to date, I have updated all Creative Cloud apps to most current version, and I restarted my computer… the problem has persisted through all of this.
Howdy.I’ve had this problem for years. The “Export as” feature can’t be trusted to properly export gradients (see attached). Anyone know what the deal is with this? Thanks!
Hi all, I am currently puzzled how to create a pantograph with the word VOID written. I tried to create one and it is attached as PSD file but i am unsuccessful in the matter. It has to be back and white in color or a combination of magenta. Any advice or lead in this would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance
Folks, any idea how to install Photoshop CC 2019 (version 20.0)? I updated to version the current version after holding off for a while as I just didn't want to change. Now that I updated, the new version is gltichy as hell for me and can't work with files from without all kinds of graphical glitches, rendering my photoshop sub useless. The creative cloud App only shows versions as low as Photoshop (22.0). Any assistance would be appreciated.
I wanted to use generative fill on a selection, but PS refused because it said my color image was in grey scale. Flat wrong. Below are screenshots of the image mode and the bad message. And the version info follows those.
