Right now if you want to purchase Photoshop the price is $19.99 (Photography Plan which also includes Lightroom) or standalone at $20.99. This price point is worth the price for any professional using Photoshop daily for hours together. But as a home user wanting to use Photoshop or Lightroom once in a while, it makes no sense to pay close to $240 per year. Why doesn't Adobe launch a Home Plan? Under that you can say offer 365 hours of Photoshop + Lightroom use per year at say 39.99 a year. Once the 365 hours of usage are complete they can renew their subscription again. You may say there is already Photoshop Express for free or at a lower price point. Yes, but it does not give the tools which are there in the main Photoshop version (thats why I wrote Pro) where in we have additional tools. So I think many home users who are using some other tool right now, may shift to Adobe products if the entry price is reasonable. Who knows many may even
If there isn't already, please add an "alt text" field in Photoshop.
Adobe's oversight is quite significant. While the Auto Recover feature is a lifeline for many users, it falls short by restricting its functionality to system or application crashes. This limitation misses a golden opportunity to salvage files that are inadvertently closed due to accidental selection errors during the "save" prompt. Allow me to illustrate with a personal example: I was working on an exquisitely beautiful project, simultaneously managing multiple files (three, to be exact). When prompted to save, I mistakenly chose not to, unaware that I had selected the wrong file. This resulted in the closure of my priceless work, leaving me utterly disappointed.I earnestly request an expansion of the recovery option to include ONE last saved state, even if the user opts not to save. This would be invaluable for rectifying accidental errors when dealing with multiple open files, where it can be easy to misinterpret which file is being prompted for saving. I am certain that many others
Because I use photoshop mainly for illustrating alongside Fresco, I would love if there was the same ability to make a straight line in Photoshop like in fresco, by drawing the line and then holding.
I love generative fill! It's an amazing feature. One improvement would to be to keep the bar stationary. Everytime I use it to remove hair, the bar jumps right up to the hair so I have to move it everytime I want to see the results. It's minor, but an extra move I have to do with every use of it. Thanks for listening!
CS6: May I suggest to use the middle mouse button as hand tool? So pressing down middle mouse button will drag the image. This will be more convenient because we can drag the image using simply the mouse, instead of having to use the current method of both keyboard+mouse.
Dear Adobe we dont care about about all these ne features like AI and generative fill. please just ad basic functions to the IPAD version like grids and snap text. what good is all this new stuff if you cant even align it to make it straight. forget all this new tech gimics and add tools that will help people create
With all this wealth of brushes provided by Kyle Webster it would be really helpful if it was easier to locate a brush. Some things that could make brush managment easier would be:A Favorites filter.Being able to search within a specific brush set folder.Being able to combine keywords in search. Lets say for example you add /L for large brushes and /O for oil brushes in their names and you can search with both terms or one of them at a time.Applying color coding (in bulk) and being able to search by color.A button to collapse all folder and subfolder that are currently expanded or open one brush folder and close all the rest much like the way you can with the layer visibility toggle in the layers panel.Being able to rename brushes in bulk with the option to add something to their existing names so that you can easily add a search term to a group of selected brushes.Tags would also be a great idea for combining search terms in order to find specific brushes. Thanks.
Hello,I use the "Merge all layers into a new layer" function every day, with the shortcut: Cmd-Alt-Shift-E However, I do NOT understand why this function is non-existent in any Photoshop menu !!! The only way to use this function is to know the secret shortcut!!!! Why is that?Adobe: Could you please add this function to the "Layers" menu please! - Merge visible layers INTO A NEW Layer ! Thank you!The forums and internet are full of people wasting their time looking for this secret function!!!!
I often assidentaly try to delete a smart object while having a selection, and the "could not complete your request because the smart object is not directly editable" appears. Then, I have to move my pointer to hit OK, instead of just hitting Esc to get out of the dialog, hit Ctrl + D and get on with my life. A much easier option is already present in Layer Styles - double clicking on the layer panel opens them, but if you accidentally clicked you can hit Esc and quickly get out. I think the dialog for smart objects was made to educate new users, but for people who know how smart objects work it's a bit time consuming (at least for people like me who often do the mistake with selection).
There are many optical effects we can add to Photoshop.
I am a long time photographer, and now a coin collector. I have been making GIF images to show off my coins. You can see them here: (weblink removed) The first several images in that gallery show very 3-D coins rotating transparently against a fractal background. To make these images, I first make a 4K movie of the coin rotating in a Foldio 360 spherical light box. Then I import the movie to layers into a Photoshop PSD file. This file typically has 486 layers and is about 1800 x 1800 pixels. Since I want to work on the layers with some of my Photoshop actions in batch mode, I must then convert these layers to files. That's where the problem comes in, because the built-in Photoshop script used to convert layers to files takes a whopping eight hours to complete. You're probably thinking I'm using some old slow machine without much memory. That's not the case. I'm using a new 16" MacBook Pro M2 with 8 TB of SSD memory and 96 GB of SSD RAM. I was a program

Please add a 'line thickness' option to the Photoshop Grid/Guides Dialog. When using a high-resolution Retina display, the default thickness is too thin - poor visibility. Also 2px increments (ie 1,3,5,7px etc) would allow/retain true centering of the lines.
I would love to see a search option to find actions easier than scrolling through a ton of actions.
Hello! I would like to share a problem that I think other people face too, regarding the Generative fill in Photoshop. I think it comes as no surprise that using normal words gets BIASED results, and also, as no surprise that the word in question is "black". There are two (most important) examples for me, although this problem happened on many other "objects" that have the word black attibuted: 1) When using "black marble table", I get usually white tables. Many times when using this word, my promt gets totally ignored, and other colors fill the space. 2) when creating a new scene with the promt "black studio blackground", it turns out I violate the community guidelines. Most probably for the use of word "black", which I guess is..."racist"? Even more outrageous, is that using "white studio background" is completely fine, which leads to a simple absolutely logical question: why the bias? I know this is an AI, and it can have bugs, but knowing the at
When transfering an image file from Lightroom to Photoshop, and then after Photoshop adjustments saving the file back to Lightroom, the image is given an extension file reference. I have played with the Preference settings (in Lighgtroom) but cant seem to locate one that works.I am trying to arrange that when I move a file {Z2A1234.cr2} from LR to PS to process it, then return it to LR, it is saved as a new file with a difernt name for example a new file name - Z2A1234-Edit.tif.If I return the Z2A1234-Edit.tif. file to PS for further editing then back to LR it returns with a file name Z2A1234-Edit-Edit.tif etc.If you do multiple edits the number of Edit-Edit suffix grow!!It would be so much better to have v01, v02 , v03 etc so that you can easily determine which version is the latest.
I often need to select many layers in the layers palette and often they are all next to each other. I'd like to be able to select them with one click and a motion, upward or downward, much like toggling the view allows (eyeball box on left side of palette), i.e. click and drag up/down across the eyeballs to toggle view on/off. I'd like to see an option in the Layers palette to turn on a new column that is a Selection Toggle Column that works like the eyeball column. Then I wouldn't have to reach for the keyboard as I do most of the time now. Thank you.
Multiple photos in an image - circular and linearand also star effects
It would be very usefull if the tool cursor would change/indicate which tool you actually use at the moment. Espacially if it is the same tool.I.E.: I often use two of the repair tools - the remove tool and the repair brush. Both have similar tool cursors, so coming from another tool or switching documents I often dont know which tool is acutally active. It would be helpfull, if there would be some kind of indication, which tool it is.
How can i change the setting of the file size appearing when opening in photoshop? For example i want all files to open with 8% instead of 12%
