Photoshop

With the new brush panel, it's easy to accidentally move brushes around while selecting them, especially when working quickly. I'm sure other people are frustrated by this.   Please add a feature to lock the panel with your next version that help with this problem. The old brush panel didn't have this problem since you had to edit the brush preset to be able to move them. Thank you!

I've been using photoshop on Windows OS to draw landscapes for quite some time, and just recently bought an iPad mini to have something more portable. I'm extremely saddened to find out the tool I use the most for blending sky, water, land, etc. is not available on iPad. My favorite brush is Kyle's All Purpose Blend (smudge), and I can't use it on my iPad because the smudge tool doesn't let you pick brushes like PC does. I didn't know the interface would be so disappointingly different from PC, or else I wouldn't have bought this iPad. It has almost no options to change the way the smudge tool works. Please add the ability to scatter the smudge tool to iPad photoshop / add more smudge options like the PC version has (see screenshot below).  

It seems like a missed oportunity to not be able to change a brush roundness with a shortcut.we can change size with [ ]hardness with { }rotation with left arrow and right arrowwhy not roundness with up arrow and down arrow and shift up arrow and down arrow for 10% changes??? I've tried but can't even add it as my own shortcut 😞

Does not know what an Oxford button down collar looks like. Does not generate a button down collar at all. This is a basic shirt type for men and women. 

a simple must for hand animation to swap between the different drawings on the timeline instantly. so my request is to be able to press a key to go to the previous or next image on the timeline, and have the timehead follow. or have an option you can turn on where if you click a layer the timehead goes to the layer's spot on the timeline. I have tried scripting this as it should be trivial, but there's one thing absolutely beyond hidden (even in AM code); the variables for layer's location and length on the timeline. so my request is either an feature adjustment for the current timeline, an update to be able to read the layer's timeline variables, or the location of those variables if they can be reached already. thank you for your time

There are wires in many city and landscape photos that one wants to remove. Wires that cross trees or in front of buildings. The remove tool clears teh background too and that is not what one wants to do. If would be so nice to click on a wire (or a post) and the software selects it and then removes it. Having to use the lasso tool to select a wire is not an easy task and a very time consuming. Difficult to follow a wire with a mouse. Maybe a select tool e.g. select object except is a one click step. Similar to using a lasso tool to remove an object by just clicking on the wire!

Many users are confused by the marching ants previews (a feature request for 0% treshold of selections to be added here)  but so not seem to notice the Quick mask button or to know their Q shortcut. Select and Mask has an entire array of masking previews: on black, on white, quickmask style(overlay), onion skin, that should be available for each and every masking/selection tool.   Please add all the preview modes in the option bar, but especially in the Contextual Task Bar!

Many users get confused that the selection can "bleed" further than what is shown by the maching ants, the latest being: https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-discussions/no-matter-what-i-do-photoshop-keeps-painting-outside-my-selection/td-p/14177626   It is about time to bring the maching ants in the modern world, and take a look at what ACR/Lr is doing, and maybe supplement them with a view of the 0% to indicate a non-soft selection. I would love to have the same sizing option while opening files from Lightroom to Photoshop as there is from Camera Raw to Photoshop. 

When the eyedropper tool is active (keyboard shortcut: I) I can right-click to get access to the sample size menu.   When the Brush tool is active (B) I can press Alt (on Windows) to temporary change to the eyedropper tool. When I then right-click and hold I can change the brush size and hadrness by moving the mouse. Feature request: show the sample point size menu when I right-click while holding Alt ehen the Brush tool is active, without holding the button down for a long time or moving the mouse. Bonus points: include in that menu also the "Sample from" options, so that it would look like this: Motivation: there is no easy way to see or change the sampling size or sample from when using eyedropeer from the "Alt"-shortcut when the Brush tool is selected. I have to change from Brush to the Eyedropper tool and back to Brush.

a feature that I miss in Photoshop is being able to use the eyedropper tool to capture color from anywhere on the screen, this feature is available in Unity and is very useful, there could also be something like this in Photoshop

Please enable the ability to transform multiple selected layers at once and apply pixel liquify to all selected layers simultaneously in Photoshop, like Clip Studio. Currently, mesh transformation and pixel liquify are only possible for a single layer. Please add the functionality to apply mesh transformation and pixel liquify to multiple layers simultaneously.  ++++Clip Studio Paint even allows you to apply pixelization to a group folder containing multiple layers, even when selected. Please create this feature. It's too inconvenient that it only applies to one layer.  가능한 최대한 빨리

Would love to see edge feather added to the Pen Tool.  Mocha Pro has had this for a very long time and it doesn't seem to be on Adobe's radar.  Would be super powerful and is much needed IMO.  For those of you who haven't seen it before I have attached a quick screen capture that illustrates what it looks like and I have provided a video link that demonstrates how it's used in Mocha.  Having this in PS would be a big step forward.  https://vimeo.com/258256789

Would love to see an update to the Image Processor that includes the option to save PSB.  Would be fantastic for those of us that composite very large images.  Curious to know if others would find this useful, and also what other features you might want to see added to the native Image Processor.  I don't think it's seen any updates / upgrades in decades.

Is it possible for one to add a delete option on the selection contextual task bar. I have a surface laptop studio and when it in tablet mode i do not have access to my keyboard, so it makes it hard to select and hit delete. I know there is clear in the edit menu but a shotcut would be great. If not maybe Adobe can think about it for their future updates. 

The TAB system is very poorly optimized imo, its very complicated when you have multiple tabs to move a tab wich is in one end to the other, if you miss with the mouse and take it and put it back in it goes all the way back to the end, the tab system should have the possibility to group tabs, color them, and in the same way I use CTRL + TAB to cycle through them, there should be an easy way to move them up or down the line at this point, it gets quite frustrating specially with files that have long filenames, the tab takes de hole screen

I'm not sure if it's a bug or a feature, but I want this to be changed. When a layer mask is selected, the Eyedropper tool doesn't pick up a color sample from the layer - you have to select the layer icon first.    It doesn't matter if it's an Adjustment or a regular pixel layer. Adobe, do you really think we want to pick up the color from the monochrome B&W mask?!I've never needed this for ages, but if I did, I'd first Alt+click to view the mask. Don't you think so?So, make the Eyedropper tool ignore the active layer mask. Many newbies will breathe a sigh of relief, but now they don't understand why the tool isn't working. As you know, by default the mask on any new adjustment layer is active. This mismatch causes problems.

Would it be possible to have thumbnails of the file image in the tab titles instead of the filename? I often work with 6+ images open at once in Photoshop.  Currently I can only see 3 or 4 tabs as the filenames are too long to allow more tabs. If the tabs were thumbnail images instead of filenames then there would be more space for the tabs in the workspace. 

Options bar cant be stuck on the bottom edge, so it just floats on the screen and because of that its hiding other stuff that is on the bottom edge plus when the contextual Task bar happens to be on top of the Options bar you can't see the Options bar and so on.So it will be very comfortable if it will be able to pin the Options bar on the bottom edge in the box so it's part of the full "frame"

A way to delete all unused image generations would be nice, especiallty in huge files where there are 100+ generations comprising the image.

Why in 2019 do we not have the ability to turn off fonts from inside Photoshop? Why when I make a text layer must I scroll through a never ending list of fonts I do not need. Like Apple Braille? Or fonts in foreign languages that I will never use? Users should be given the option to hide fonts they do not want to see. How hard is that? How did Lorem ipsum place holder text get added as a feature before some better font management was added. I should not be forced into going and trying to delete system fonts from my operating system and risk ruining it.

The new Photoshop 2024 changes how gradients work, and while most of the changes are great, the "reverse" check box is a TERRIBLE implementation. In old gradients, the color picker controlled the direction of a gradient. If white was the foreground color and black was the background color, you'd draw a gradient from white to black. If you wanted a different direction, you'd just hit the X key on the keyboard and voila, your gradient behaves as you want it to. Now I have to navigate up to the "reverse" check box every damn time I want to swap it. WHY would this be a helpful change?! There was nothing wrong with the old functionality. This ONLY adds an extra step. PLEASE get rid of the dumb "reverse" check box and restore the old way it worked. Even in "classic gradient" mode it's still messed up. Ugh.
