Please restore the "Delete Hidden Layers" command in the Layers panel menu.In recent versions of Photoshop (27.8), the Delete Hidden Layers command has disappeared from the Layers panel menu. It used to be available directly from the panel and was an essential productivity feature for many professional users.Removing this shortcut forces users to perform additional steps for a very common housekeeping task. This is a regression in usability rather than an improvement.Please restore Delete Hidden Layers to the Layers panel menu, where it was for many years. It was easy to find, consistent with professional workflows, and saved valuable time when cleaning complex PSD files.Many long-time Photoshop users rely on this command every day. non-working CTRL+SHIFT+F (FADE) command!!!!!

When we issue a command from the action panel, the fade command (CTRL+SHIFT+F) doesn't work. The action panel is terrible. It slows things down incredibly. I had to revert to the previous version.

There needs to be a way to modify the default cursors to improve visibility, especially on 4K displaysOpen for Voting

As long as I’ve been using Photoshop (since Version 4), I have struggled with finding the cursor on light areas of an image. Since upgrading to a 4K display, the cursor has become, for all intents and purposes, essentially invisible when editing a white or light gray area on a UHD screen. The limited setting choices in Preferences/Cursor are of no use. Windows has had the ability since 3.1 to set the cursor size and shape, including inversing the arrow to black over a white background and white over a dark or black area of the screen.It’s nearly impossible to even select an area of the image with the rectangle or round tools as the cursor just disappears in the light background. I’m trying to edit an image with large areas of gray and white in order to smooth them out by selecting and copying decent areas of the image, but here I am, at 3:59 a.m. cursing the cursor out loud. Just so you know what I’m experiencing, I double dare you to find the cursor in this screenshot from my system:

On Photoshop, the mask brush does not work

Even though i am selecting a black brush, on the mask layer, I am not able to brush the mask with black. On the other hand there is no problem with using a white brush, as seen on the youtube video.https://youtu.be/3BBpHtlN6dU

Photoshop 27.7 and 27.8 - Save for Web and Devices Dialogue

I’ve noticed this bug since Photoshop 27.7, and it seems to still be an issue in 27.8. I use the Save For Web & Devices option when exporting images all of the time for my job. I noticed in 27.7, we got a fancy new UI for that particular dialogue box, but it seems that it is bugged. After hitting the Save button in that dialogue, my system (Mac OS Sequoia 15.7.7) dialogue box opens to let me name my file and choose its location. However, in this system dialogue, I can no longer access the keyboard shortcuts for Copy or Paste (a huge productivity issue when it comes to naming files). It provides an audio cue, the little “pop” noise on Mac that typically results from an inaccessible action, and I’m stuck having to key in file names manually.I don’t know if the new Save For Web & Devices UI is the culprit, but I only notice the issue on Photoshop 27.7 and 27.8. Photoshop 27.6 uses the old UI, and so I’ll have to continue using that until this issue is fixed.

Gradients are broken in artboards

Hello everyone,I use the Artboard feature quite frequently, and having this feature in Photoshop greatly simplifies my workflow. However, I've been suffering from serious bugs, lack of optimization, and performance bottlenecks for a long time. The recent updates haven't given enough attention to these issues, making me feel like the development team has neglected this fundamental feature.Gradients are broken. For example, when working with multiple artboards and creating a gradient with the gradient tool, the gradient will appear incorrectly with the default settings, as shown in the image below. I found a temporary solution by removing the default layer mask and creating a new mask with the artboard dimensions. The gradient tool likely calculates the entire canvas rather than just the artboard it's currently on, which can cause the gradient to not work properly.When a gradient fill is added to the artboard, the appearance is determined by the default settings.When the default mask of

PS 27.8.0 is creating .c2paws files again when it shouldn't

This is a followon from my original post a few years ago: https://community.adobe.com/questions-712/c2paws-files-now-being-created-with-every-document-saved-why-1165120The problem seemed to resolve itself about 24 months ago and since then, I’ve been free of this mess, but this week Photoshop updated to 27.8.0 and the .c2paws files have come back again. Every filetype I open now generates these files - tif, psd, png, jpg - you name it, they get created. Before the ‘AI’ bots reply and tell me it’s “content credentials” - no - it’s not. I turned this off three years ago and it’s been off ever since. I even toggled it back on and off today to see if that would cure it. It doesn’t. I’ve rebooted. I’ve re-installed PS 27.8.0 - nothing works. This is a plague on my machine now. I have hundreds of these files that have been created in the last few days without me noticing so now I’m having to once again run a cleanup script just to un-clutter all my project folders.

Can't write new document preset file in PS 26.8.1

When I close Photoshop Rel 26.8.1 I get the following error "Can't write new document preset file". I run PS as Admin.    I tried to uninstall the app and delete the PS2025 files and cache but the problem persists. What can I do.  thanks in advance.      <Personal info removed by Mod>

Photoshop doesn't work on my new M5 MacBook Pro

Ever since I got a new M5 MacBook Pro Photoshop either freezes on launch or locks up just as it finishes launching. It's unusable. All I can do is force-quit. I've tried deleting and reinstalling the app (twice) and renamed the prefs folder so it would generate a new one but nothing works.

Pixel resize option removed from Resample Dialog boxOpen for Voting

You have removed the ability to change the pixel width or height of an image unless it is to be resampled. This is nuts! You often need to open and image and change its dimension or PPI value and NOT resample it. You want to do this in PIXELS. Why don’t you ask a few users before yanking things. I am going to have to use another app for this basic ability.

Product images look pixelated on Retina displays—best workflow for high-res screens?

Hi everyone,We are currently updating the product images on our website https://www.daltaios.com/, but we noticed they look quite pixelated on Retina displays and newer mobile screens.Should I be exporting all image assets at 2x resolution directly from Photoshop, or is there a better modern workflow to ensure crisp visuals while keeping the file sizes small for fast loading times?Any advice on compression tools or responsive image practices would be greatly appreciated!

filtered gallery, blend mode, and text will turn black when i change the background to other colors

I am experiencing 3 problems with photoshop When I add a text and I want to go to filter gallery and add HALFTONE to add lines on my text It doesn’t apply it All of my blend modes when i hover on them it either turn them white or black and that's it when I want to make a text transparent after I added effect (changing the R,G,B Channels to make a cool effect) it instantly turn it black and if i want to make the background black or other colors it fully cover the entire text. Its so weird because previously it worked perfectly but when I try to do another one this happen. I tried everything from Uninstalling photoshop, Adobe cleaner tool, to graphics card updates but nothing would work

new update cant turn off show extras

After a recent update, I can no longer permanently turn off “Show Extras” and layer/selection edges. I don’t want any edges, bounding boxes, etc showing. How can I turn these off globally and permanently like I could before? When I close all files, those options under View are greyed out.

P: PS 27.7 Modern UI: Save for web assigning presets to slices not working

New version of Save for Web with updated UI will not assign presets (JPEG or PNG) to individual slices. Changing the Preset setting now changes the setting for all user slices. So the workaround is to save out the slices for each format needed separately now. Seems like a bug to me, I have been using this workflow for several years.
