Photoshop

I have tried just about everything to get this to work. I am not sure when exactly it stopped working but I am guessing during one of the updates for some reason that got screwed up. It works on all my home computers and my work laptop but not my desktop.    I have unistalled and reinstalled, tried less up to date versions, turned on and off the screen recording for photoshop in my settings, restarted my computer, none of it has solved the problem. This is so frustrating and I haven't found anyone else having this issue besides people that forget to turn the screen recording button as I mentioned.   Also I should mention with all my other Adobe products that fuction works just fine. If I am missing something here please let me know because I need a solution to this madness.

I am a photojournalist and recently switched from a PC to a MacBook (last week). My workflow has been rock-solid for many years, and my old archive copied over to the new Mac system without any issues.My Workflow: Preview & Culling: Photo Mechanic Editing: Photoshop 27.9.1 / Adobe Camera Raw Saving: Exported/saved as DNG files Archiving: Import DNGs into Lightroom Classic 15.5.1 The Issue: For my commercial side work, I regularly apply the "Adaptive: Color" profile to my Raw files. However, since switching to the Mac, when I import these newly edited DNGs into Lightroom Classic, LrC fails to apply or read the "Adaptive: Color" profile. The images import looking completely flat.What I've Tried: I read that updating the AI settings in Lightroom might resolve this, but it did not work. Manually reapplying the Adaptive Color profile inside Lightroom does fix the image, but this is way too time-consuming and defeats the purpose of my workflow. Note: Older images processed this

I have created a path and typed text into it. Along the path is a little circle with an x in it. This little x appears to be hiding my text and i can not move it. How do I get my text to show up???

The tab to click on and change the properties for an adjustment layer randomly disappears. Quitting and re-opening the app solves the issue, but it will happen again within minutes, usually when switching between different projects or different app on the computer.  On Photoshop v26.6 - Mac Mini M4 pro, 32gb ram, 1tb ssd.   Any help would be appreciated! ss

I'm currently designing a full vehicle wrap for our local taxi fleet [link removed]Since this will be printed on large-format vinyl, what is the recommended document resolution (DPI/PPI) and color mode setup in Photoshop to ensure sharp print quality without freezing the system?

HelloCan anyone help? Since the update at the end of May 2023, the brush shortcut for size and hardness control no longer works (ctrl + Alt + Right Mouse + drag left/right).I have gone into any tool, preferences to check, tried other keyboard shortcuts and watched tutorials. I even uninstalled and reinstalled PS.I suspect it's a bug, has anyone had the same problem or solved it already? Thanks

downloaded latest Photoshop version o new iMAC  set up writer for Epson Velvet Fie Art paper.  Colors are way way off.  I want to talk with Adobe Support 

Wenn ich wie gewohnt im Firefly Arbeitsbereich von Photoshop ein Bild mit Hilfe von Referenzbild und Quellbild erstellen möchte kommt jedes mal die Meldung “Da hat etwas nicht geklappt.” Habe auch Prompts aus der Vergangenheit ausprobiert mit den entsprechenden Referenzbildern, die schon einmal geklappt hatten. Auch diese funktionieren nicht mehr. Ich habe noch mehr als 3000 generative Credits. Photoshop wurde heute morgen upgegradet. Was kann ich tun, um wieder Bilder generieren zu können?

Filter layer: Like an adjustment layer but it uses a mask to apply a selected filter to any number of layers below the Filter Layer while keeping the filter parameters adjustable. Premiere can do this by making a shape an adjustment layer and applying a filter to it. Good for frosted glass boxes for titles with gaussian or zooming in to an area with transform effect.

I am using AI features and am getting this error message, even after 10 hours 

Changing a layer containing a graphic from Normal to any of the options no longer works. Previously as I scrolled down the list, a preview of each choice would display. That is also no longer functioning.Photoshop 27.8.0Mac OS 26.5.2

 I have been experiencing this error for a while now. When trying to save for web it stops working and gives the warning "Save for web error" "Could not complete this operation. A writer permissions error has occured."Everytme I tried the different solutions found online and they worked just fine but not this time. Everything was fine yesterday but today it just does not want to write this file. I have tried the following:1) reset preferences2) update photoshop3) Restart photoshop4) Restart system5) Give photoshop a complete write access to the disk6) Checking that file and image sizes are the same7) Trying different formats I am on Photoshop 25.0, please help. 

Does anyone know why I sometimes have to press a tool shortcut several times for the tool switch to stick?For roughly the last six months (not exactly sure), I’ve noticed this on all four of my computers. In about 50% of cases, I have to press a shortcut key (for example, B) several times to make sure the tool actually switches.If I press it only once or twice, I can literally see the tool switch to the Brush tool and then immediately switch back to the previous tool.Has anyone else experienced this?Please don’t recommend disabling Spring-Loaded Tools, because I don’t want to have to press another shortcut again to switch back after temporarily using Zoom (Z).

Hello, I have a bug on my personal computer. When I use Photoshop, after two or three edits like generative expand, painting, or even just hue and saturation, Photoshop makes my computer crash and restart. I use the license at my office at work with no problem. So it really seems to come from my PC, or maybe a setting that needs to be changed in PS. Does anyone know the solution? I'm using the latest version of Photoshop. I’ve tried turning my computer off and on again, reinstalling Photoshop, reinstalling the Creative Cloud suite, but nothing works. _____Bonjour, j’ai un bug sur mon ordinateur personnel. I recently discovered that banding has started appearing in smooth color gradients when saving JPEGs in Adobe Photoshop. Naturally, I always save at maximum quality—12 out of 12. If I save as an 8-bit TIFF and then convert to JPEG using FastStone, I can select RGB as the photometric type in the save options; furthermore, I don't necessarily have to choose 100% quality—which would result in a 40 MB file for my example—since 95% is perfectly adequate for me, yielding flawless gradients and a file size of 16 MB, matching what Photoshop produces at its maximum quality setting (12 out of 12). Hey there,Since the introduction of the EU AI Act I need to know precisely which tools in Photoshop will get my work flagged as AI, so I can circumvent their use.I already ditched LRC because of this and for not getting any answers on said questions anywhere. Working with the basic toolset on PS right now, but since selections apparently are also made with AI now, and anything involving AI seems to get flagged, I need to know precisely, please. Why - because some of my clients aren’t very happy about getting their pics flagged upon using them on Meta platforms because I removed a bottle, and because they need to be “clearly marked” as “Made with AI” or whatever else. I can already see this becoming a huge headache. Marking every single file in various sizes for print and Social Media. Thanks.Please someone clarify. Hello,Apparently many creators are aware of this issue (I saw TextureLabs complain about it on youtube among others), and I personally encountered it enough times. The performance hit seems to appear mostly on big canvases. more pattern fill layers = bigger performance hit. but if they’re at 0 angle, then the performance is fine. I don’t know if a smaller scale also contributes to it.This is an issue especially because it limits the patterns I can create and use on photoshop as I feel forced to use patterns on 0° angle, but then, creating the pattern as rotated from the start makes it difficult-to-impossible to seamlessly fill the corners using photoshop only.I don’t see why would the performance be impacted if the pattern is an angle more than what it would as 0. I don’t think any computations need to keep on happening once the pattern is displayed. [Moved to Photoshop by a moderator］

When using the Photoshop Line Tool with an arrowhead, the rectangular line shaft can protrude through the sloping sides of the arrowhead if a small arrowhead width is used. This creates two small but clearly visible spikes on either side of the arrowhead.Photoshop version:27.9.1OS:Windows 11Steps to reproduce:Create a new document. Select the Line Tool in Shape mode. Make sure both Fill and Stroke are enabled. Set the Stroke width for example to 34 px. Enable an arrowhead at the end of the line. Set the arrowhead width to 3 px and draw an arrow. Zoom in on the transition between the shaft and the arrowhead. At this point, the two bottom corners of the rectangular shaft protrude through the diagonal sides of the arrowhead.Changing only the arrowhead width from 3 px to 5 px makes the artifacts disappear.Expected result:The shaft should be fully contained within the arrowhead, and the arrowhead should have clean, uninterrupted diagonal edges regardless of the selected arrowhead width.Actu

As i scroll down on font types, photoshop stopped and shut down.

The "Export As" window is glitching, which sometimes makes it go behind Photoshop. Additionally, its size does not stay adjusted as usual and it is always smaller. I have to resize it every time I open the program and use the "Export As" function.Another problem is that the file preview is pixelated, which does not happen in the regular version. This started in this last beta update; it didn't have this problem before. Furthermore, the image only looks good if I set the zoom to 100%. However, I cannot see the full image with good quality like before because it goes past the borders. I have to keep moving it to see the corners that do not show up. Image from Photoshop version 27.9 Previous version 27.8 is perfectly normal and trouble-free.Image from Photoshop version 27.8I reported this bug in the Beta version, and even so, they updated the definitive version with the exact same error that many people were complaining about.
