Photoshop Elements

The lasso icon disappeared on my screen. How can I get this back?

I’ve used various Photoshop versions for years. My old Photoshop 13 works fine on an old laptop, but for a new Windows 11 notebook Adobe obliged me to purchase Photoshop Elements 23, which has made quality printing impossible. The Change Settings and then Advanced Settings bring up a very impoverished menu. No utilities option, no ability to change the quality of printing, only two printing paper options (matt or glossy) make quality printing impossible. I’ve uninstalled and re-installed 23, removed and added my Epson Photo R2000 printer, and updated Epson printer drivers. No change. Any suggestions? After decades, I’m ready to leave Photoshop for a better company/product.

Hi, maybe someone can help me with this.  I did not found any post stating a similar problem.  I imported from a SD card to a network drive photos from the eclipse on a timelapse (regular RAW and JPEG, nothing else).  Somehow, the computer did not finish the import.  Every time I open Element organizer, program tells me it will update the catalog after the file import and just hangs fors hours with no results.  I tried the cancel button, but that does not work either.  I reinstalled the program, and it keeps doing the same pattern.  When I install the program on a different computer, there is no problem.  I tried reinstalling the 2018 versiion of the program on the first computer running on Windows 10, and it works well.  I tried suppressing all keys in the registry related to the 2020 version, and it does not solve the problem.  There is something in the computer somewhere that tell Element organizer 2020 to start that endless loop and

I've used various versions of PSE for years, and have never had a problem with metadata not being included when using the Exporting as New Files command.When I tried this command with PSE 2021, some files had the metadata included, but most did not.I then tried to use the Save Metadata to File command. A message would appear that the metadata had been saved, but it lies, and the metadata is not saved.My OS is Windows 10, 64 bit.Can anybody suggest a solution?

Hi everyone,I am currently trying to add and edit specific shapes to my images. However, adding color and a stroke to the shape does not appear to be working. I have added an image to illustrate this: when I try to add a red circle, the circle remains white (and note that the circle does become red in the thumbnail in layers). I tried specifying the color both in the toolbox menu at the bottom of the screen and by clicking the thumbnail in layers twice, and neither did the trick. I have no specific layers switched added.Also, the function stroke appears to be disabled.I was wrong if I'm doing anything wrong, or perhaps if some of my settings are wrong? I am currently working in the 30-days trail of Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor of 2019.

Wieder mal ein Problem bei neuen Versionen: diesmal werden korrekt eingegebene Umlaute im IPTC-Formular trotz ebenfalls korrekter Voreinstellung bei Land/Region = Deutschland prompt verfälscht. So wird z.B. aus "Zürich" nun "Zürich". Und was extrem ärgerlich ist: erst beim Vorgang "Mehrere Dateien verarbeiten" wird dies sichtbar, so dass ich in allen editierten Fotos solche fehlerhaft umgesetzten Umlaute vorfinde. Auch mit der Folge, dass überall eine doch recht umständliche Überarbeitung der Datei notwendig wird. Da werden für ja nicht wenig Geld recht unsinnige Spielerein (Beispiel "Wasserfall", denn entweder mache ich Fotos oder Videos, jedenfalls keine Pseudo-Videos) vermarktet, aber viele sinnvolle Funktionen bleiben unverändert auf der Strecke. Auch dazu in Beispiel: die echt mangelhafte Suche nach Dubletten, also ähnlichen Fotos.

Hi, I have no idea how, but when I opened Elements Organizer today on my Macbook, it was empty. I have had varios versions of Elements for many years and have several thousand photos, well organized and tagged. May hours of work. My photos seem to all be intact in my photos library. I have a backup from not too long ago, but I was wondering if I can use Time Machine which is more recent to get everything back?  What would make my catelog dissapear? I just used it a couple days ago and it's really bugging me how this could have happened. Any ideas?  Thank you in advance to anyone responding 🙂

I cannot open the editor photo in Photoshop Elements 2024. As soon as I try to open it, the following message appears:your application is dynamically linked with Intel(R) libraries version 2021.6 (r0xbffe3c5b). No DLL from the list below is found on the system search path:ippcvy8.dll (the most suitable for your CPU);ippcvn8.dl (optional);ippcvn7.dll (optional).Please take note that I have still installed in my PC the previous version (2021) of Photoshop Elements and Premiere. Until a short time ago, PS Eements worked properly.

Suddenly, I cannot open the Photo Editor in my Adobe Photoshop 2024.  I attach the two messages I am receiving.  I see no way to “designate a DLL” like they say I’m supposed to.

Update: The problem has been solved.  Due to compatibility issues LR6 is configured to open files in PSE using a work around.Open C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 2024\ Copy "PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe" to the desktop. Rename to "Photoshop Elements 2024" and copy back to  C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 2024Then configure Lightroom to open files in external editor, "Photoshop Elements 2024" .  Now LR 6 can edit files in PSE 2024 just fine.  The problem was that after PSE 2024 was updated I forgot to to repeat the above procedure.   _____________________________ Before the recent PS Elements 2024 update I was able to export an image from Lightroom 6 into PS Elements 2024 without any problems. Now after the update, the PSE file is made in LR but it will not automatically launch in PSE 2024. I receive 3 error messages in 3 separate windows:1- The code execution cannot proceed because opencv_imgcodec310.dl

When my display goes into sleep mode, PSE and all th photos I was working on drop to the bottom of the screen. I then have to drag everything up so I can see the tool bin. Very annoying.I am using PSE 24 on macOS 14.4.1 Any suggestions?

My 2019 Photoshop Elements no longer recognizes my Epson 3000 photo printer. It has always worked in the past. I can still print images directly from my Windows desktop, but it is not a satisfactory way to print out artwork or photos. Adobe tech support was of little help telling me to uninstall my printer and reinstall the software. I am not sure if I can find the CD the printer came with. I so need to get this fixed. The message I get is: "The saved printer information is not compatible with this version of Photoshop Elements, or the saved printer is no longer available. You will need to check the printer settings before printint."I have tried everything to get this to work. Adobe couldn't get it to work either. The technician recommended uninstalling the printer software and reinstalling it. I am not sure this will work either. Any suggestions?

 After the 2024.2 update, whenever I go to the People view and click a person, Organizer hangs. When I click again "Adobe Elements 2024 Organizer not responding" This worked before the update.  

I just bought a Nikon Z8 and the Elements 2021 I have will not read the RAW files. The plugin 15.3 did not do the trick, so I'm wondering if Elements2023 would work with the new formats of Nikon Z

I am loosing already many times to communicate with you, but you always try to find answers that is not the samen. I just want to use the program phtosthop elements again as I did a few montjs already, nothing more as this ok?  

HiI'm hoping someone can help me.I haven't used Elements 9 for a good number of years.Now I've retired, I have more time to start to use my copy of Elements 9.I appreciate it's a really old version but I'd like to see if I can use it to post process raw images I've collected on a recent photography tour.Unfortunately, when I start the program up I encounter a pop up message saying I need Direct x in order to use Elements.Using the dxdiag run command, I can see that I have Direct Version 12 installed on my Windows 10 laptop.I can also see that successive Ms updates have placed lots of directx files in c:windows folders.Did anyone else encounter this issue and does anyone remember what the solution was? 

Hi,I recently found an old version of Elements 9 that I had forgotten about. Is it still possible to use and update that with High Sierra? It installed from the DVD and generally works (Organizer crashes though). However, the update process generally fails for Camera RAW and Elements and crashes after. Any idea? If it won't work, is there a way to upgrade it to the recent version or is it basically buying it from scratch?Last but not least, would I be able to make it work on a WIN10 machine or is it the same scenario there?Thanks,Peter

Hello,I purschased and installed Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements Dec 10, 2020They have been working fine until some weeks ago when I hade to uninstall them due to other issues with my laptopThose issues are now fixed but when I try to install Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements again after downloding the installation files it only runs until 2% and then stop even if it is hours there. Is it possible to save pictures in RAW into Jpeg but in batch? Now you can only save them one by one and sometimes that takes a lot of time. Thx

I suddenly experience, after the last update, that the clearly defined border (size set by px or slider) on the clone tool and some other tools as well, no longer is visible. Is there any way of getting this function back? 

I have relevant codecs and the videos play correctly on VLC player.  Have attached screenshot of media informationThanks in advance
