Photoshop Elements

I have Photoshop Elements 12, a desktop version installed on my older laptop. I need to reinstall it on my new laptop, but I can't find the serial number. Is there any way to locate it within the software? I went to the Help tab, and there is a lot of information, but no serial number. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could retrieve it?

 Hey everyone, I can't be the only one with this issue, but searching has gotten me nowhere.   I have a version of PSE 2020 (Version 18.0 (20200120.m.139570) x64, and just got notified today while using it that there is an update, but, the app will not update. It just keeps telling me to update my OS and that my browser is no longer supported so update it, or some such nonsense.  The problem is I already have THE latest windows 10 pro update/version, and I use MS Edge, which is also updated to the latest version.  I am running MS Edge in "Allow sites to be reloaded in Internet Explorer mode" and to "Let Internet Explorer open sites in Microsoft Edge". Edge is set as my default browser. Any ideas on what I can do?thanksRob

Ik heb photoshop en première elements 2020 ruim 2 jaar geleden aangeschaft. Mijn desktop-pc is gecrasht en nu ik photoshop 2020 wil installeren op mijn nieuwe desktop-pc, en mijn licentienummers invul, krijg ik als antwoord dat mijn licentie gebruikt wordt op een andere computer. Dit is onmogelijk, die computer is stuk en vernietigd. Deactiveren werkt niet. Help alsjeblieft, ik heb over het probleem gebeld, maar mij wordt gezegd dat ik een nieuwe versie moet kopen. Ik heb betaald voor de 2020 versie en wil geen nieuwe versie, maar een goed werkende installatie.

I had a strange problem, I would start Photoshop Elements 2022, running on Windows 11, and the application would start but would not respond to any mouse clicks.  This included the menus and shortcuts.  After about seven minutes of waiting, it would start working with no problems.I tried a clean install, but the problem remained.  I was about to rebuild my computer when I noticed the non-responding program was waiting on the spooler service.  So I changed my default printer to the Microsoft PDF printer, it was set to a network printer which is off at the time, and it now works with no delay.I think this is a bug in PS Elements.I hope this helps someone else!

Organizer 2022 freezes, rather than starts, on every attempt to create a Slideshow.  It freezes regardless whether starting by Create, Slideshow ... or using the TaskBar, Slideshow ... or selecting a couple photos, right-clicking, & choosing Slideshow.  It freezes on the "Loading" message, rather than starting Slideshow.  I'm running a relatively newish Dell PC, Windows 10.   I have to use Premiere (Expert Mode) to make slideshows.  What's wrong with Organizer 2022's Slideshow?

I installed PSE 2022 and it worked, telling me I had 29 days left. I quit it and when I reopened a little later it says that my trial has expired. SInce then I uninstalled and installed multiple time, using different browers, different users, and different Adobe sign ins. Nothing works. What's going on?

I removed Photoshop Elements from my computer and want to reinstall it.  I get an error message. I tried restarting my computer which didn't help.  Tried starting application manually and that didn't work either. I've successfully installed this program before but uninstalled it to get a clean copy so I could import all of my Pictures to it. I didn't even get to the point where I needed to enter my serial number. Thanks.Patricia Empson

Based on suggestions I saw in other posts, I installed the HEIC and HEVC extensions, and I changed my iPhone setting to most compatible, which I believe will only affect future photos.  I also removed the folders and files under Adobe Common. I am trying to import photos from my iPhone 12 into PSE 2020 using Get Photos & Videos from Camera or Card Reader.  It is only finding 5 recent JPGs.  (I don't know why it is even seeing these since I didn't change any settings until tonight.)  There are about 400 images on the phone that I'm trying to upload.   Did I miss a step?  Thanks in advance!Carol 

I have a back of a CD cover that the background is orange and the font is black. I printed it years ago and it was fine. I have since edited it and it's printing way too dark. I've read about converting it to a PDF then to a CMYK which was a no go as nothing will open it. I'll send the sample. Photoshop usually can deal with anything but this one I can't adjust. Thanks.

I just installed PSE 2022 on MacOS 12.5.1. When opening PSE a window pops up saying the trial period has expired. Tried to reboot, uninstall and reinstall - all with the same result. What do I need to do? BTW I am a novice to this...

Hi, so I recently picked up the code for Photoshop Elelments 2022, I attained the serial number and attempted to download the install file. The install file itself comes up with an error message that "the file is damaged, please try again" (I have the recommended version and matching specs - windows 11). I eventually tried to download via the Windows Store, it took a while but the WS trial version downloaded and opened without any real issue.  My issue is: I don't see any way to comfirm my serial number and bind it to the trial to make it permanent in the WS version, while the site version won't install. 

I am unable to launch Adobe Photoshop Elements 2021 on my Macbook. [updated to macos Monterey 12.5.1]I cannot use Adobe photoshop elements 2022 because my serial number is only valid for Elements 2021.

I'm considering buying Photoshop Elements and am wondering how easy or difficult it would be to move my 2,000 photos from Microsoft Photos to Elements. Thank You.

While I had been able to add jpgs from my Nikon D7000, iPhone and from computer files to Elements Organizer 15, when I try to add jpgs and video files using a micro SD card from my Yuneec Typhoon H drone in a card reader, I can download the video files fine, but the jpg still images always give me the error message above.  The file can be downloaded with Windows Photo app and edited that way or with Picasa, but Elements refuses to recognize it.  I sent the file to a friend and he could open and edit in Photoshop, then return to me.  At that point, Elements is happy with it and I can open it.I've seen this issue reported before, what is the solution?  I'm using Windows 10.  Thinking that perhaps my installation of Photoshop Elements was bad, I upgraded to 2018 today and have the same problem with it.

I installed Elements 2020 onto my new Mac. When I added a note to any photo, the photo went to the bin although it did not disappear from my catalogue. I upgraded to Elements 2022 and still have the same problem. Any ideas ?

II downloaded PSE 2022 in the last few days. It doesn't want to open at times without restarting the PC. Is this a common problem with Windows 11 or do I need to uninstall it and reinstall it? It seems to work fine once it opens as far as I can tell. I had asked in the " How To" forum about moving it from the "C" drive to the "D" drive but have decided to leave it where it is for now. I recently bought a Canon EOS R7. When I try to open up a RAW file taken by that camera, Elements says it cannot open up this type of document. I do not have this issue with RAW files taken with my Canon EOS RP or Canon 7D Mark II. How do I fix this?

Hello. I have a M1 macmini running Monterey 12.5.1.All my Pictures , roughly 200K pictures and videos, are stored on a NAS.  I am trying to evaluate to buy PSE22 to start oranising my library. SO I downloaded teh PSE demo version.  Please note that I already user an older version (maybe PSE18, on a windows system.  I successfully imported a test "batch" of pictures in the Catalog, around 300 videos. But I completely failed to ad the remaining 200K pics to the catalog. The process starts, it tells me that a lot op pictures were imported, many eweree rejected, but in the end in the lower legt corner I always see the usual 300 count.  What Am I missing?  

I have about 80,000 photos in my library, and many of these are duplicates or even triplicates. How do I stop elements from tripling each photobulk remove them. I do not have the patience to do this one by one

Cannot resize photo using photoshop 7 in custom mode without placing a number in width without it changing when I put a number in height, and vise versa. How do I get the inserted numbers to remain unchanged?

I want to restore my 3 Photoshop Elements (2020) catalogues from my External Hard drive to my new iMac computer. In Elements organiser I click on file, restore, browse I find the folder in the hard drive but cannot click on the thousands of files within that folder. When I choose the folder the original dialogue box just says "browse" again. Can anyone help please?

Is anyone else having issues with Elements 2022 slowing down between steps, especially saving, since the Mac OS Monterey 12.5.1 update? If so is there a fix of what can I do about it?  Thank you,Joann

I have a large number of photos and I I have tagged them all with peoples names, events etc in the organiser. The Tags are arranged in a hierarchical structure to make them easy to locate. Previously when I have had to reinstall photoshop Elements using a back up because I have upgraded my OS or the HW I have lost the structure and when the tags are imported they are all under the "Other" tags label. Is there any way to maintain the structure?

I recently had to reinstall my OS due to a system crash and am looking to reinstall elements which I purchasedsome years ago.  The email I used to sign up is no longer valid so I don't know where to start as trying to find a method of contacting customer service is proving diffiucly at best.
