Good morning, all;  I am having an issue that I thought/hoped would be fixed with a simple advanced action, but it seems that is not the case, so I was hoping someone here may have a quick, not-too-complex solution.  I have made a slide with three simple flipcards:  Each card their own advanced action and they all work perfectly:   However, as I needed a way for learners to move on after they flipped the cards, I added a Continue button, which you can see in the first screen shot. This way, they can control when to move forward in case they want to reread the cards. However, I want them to turn all the cards to read them before they move forward, so I don't want the continue button to appear until after they have done so. As a possible solution, I created variables for each of the flipped cards and added them to each of the cards' advanced actions to be incremented by 1 when they get a click, which you can see in the second screen shot.

We are using Captivate 19 We desire to have a single/one text box/shape (which contains an scenario) that can be expanded over the top of an image and then collapsed so the learner can continue to click on appropriate hot spot(s).  I'm figuring if it can be done, it would be using Advanced Actions... Just not sure what it would be.  Thanks in advance. 

Hi. I'm stumped, days of daily scripting are long gone, but here's what I want to do: I have several courses that contain the same 4 slides in each course, albeit at different starting slide numbers. In my courses, I have a series of 4 slides.  If the user has seen these slides in a different course, I want them to be able to click a button on the first slide of the 4 to bypass that slide, plus further bypass the next set of 3 slides and go straight to the fifth slide in the series.  (I'd prefer to use a shared script as I need to do this for actually 2 sets of slides)Since these slides are in multiple courses, there is no telling what the actual slide numbers affected will be - they will be independent per course so I can't just hard code a "jump to slide X".  So, to summarize:Click a button on slide x (let's say slide 11).  That action will then leap frog over the current slide (11) plus the next 3 more slides (12, 13, 14) and re-enter on slide 15.I can eithe

We have created several Adobe Captivate courses, some just a straight MP4 video, some that have user interactions and some that have quiz questions (e.g. - T/F and MC).  For each file that we upload to KnowBe4, none of them seem to be marked as complete.  In addition, one file generates an error at the end of the course that says, "406 Data Model Element Type Mismatch: could not parse number". There is one discussion thread in the Adobe Captivate forums that says the solution to this is to have KnowBe4 Support upload our SCORM files. This is not a long term solution.  We don't want to have to contact KnowBe4 Support every time we need a new file uploaded. Is there a solution to this issue from an Adobe Captivate standpoint? For the record, we are using Adobe Captivate 11.8.0.586. 

Hi,i have problem with submit button as image in responsive project in quiz. When i'm adding it to the slide it looks fine(sc.1), but when i start working in next slides and i came back i looks bad (sc.2). For worse if i preview project it looks on in like on screen no.2. The image isn't resized in captivate. I have to upload the image again do not go back to the slaid. Thats my only solution for it for now, does sb had similar problem?1. 2. 

When you select "Send Data on Every Slide," is there a way to view how this changes the output files of a published project? For example, is there JavaScript that changes when it is turned on versus turned off? Is it changed in one single location or would several output files be affected?

I'm new to Captivate and still using the free trial, and it keeps freezing and/or crashing during the following operations:Trying to open a new blank project in using a Custom size (1280 x 720).Trying to resize the project once it is already open.Trying to apply a new theme to a resized project (on the few occasions when I've been able to actually get a custom size).Trying to import a Powerpoint presentation.Trying to import new AssetsStarting Captivate (sometimes it freezes on loading)I have tried resetting the preferences multiple times, restting the preferences and then rebooting, etc. Not sure what else I can try?

Hello all, CP version - 11.5.5.553My calculation by using Expressions doesn't work at all - the result shows "0". The purpose is to display the total number of questions before the actual Question slide. I tried:remove the varialbe and adv action and then re-createrename the varialbe and adv action to ensure the title is unque Did I miss any? Thank you for any suggestions/feedback Varialbe - v_QcountAdv Actions - "6" is the total number of those non-question slidesAfter publishing the project..... it always shows "0"  

It was scrubbed yesterday with zero communication to current Captivate customers and interested beta participants. Is it dead? Delayed? What?  Literally, just say something.

HiI am using a slide video in my course and have several hotspots.I would like that when the user hoovers over a button the slide video will stop and a box will show for the user to decide if he wants to read more about the part in the video or move on. When the user moves out from the button I would like the video to continue playing. Any suggestions for a soulition?Thank you

Hi EveryoneI'm quite new to Captivate and had started by creating non-responsive projects, outputting to SWF zip files and uploading to our LMS.  Everything worked fine, however I  wanted a good template to use, so downloaded the 'clean' template from the assets store (eLearning Bros).This template is responsive which I didn't particularly want, but as I like the template I decided that I would go ahead and use responsive.I previewed my project in the SCORM cloud, everything works fine including the drag and drop and click to reveal interactions I have added into the template.  Then I have published my files, and this is where the difference seems to start.  First off, there is no SWF option as with a regular project output - looks like it only publishes HTML5 zip files.  An article I read on Captivate, said best practice is to use SWF as it creates less issues with LMS's.  No worry though, I output and load the file into our LMS.  Everything looks ok

Hi all,I am using CP 2019, and the preview option stopped working a few weeks after installing version 11.8.0.586.Reinstalling CP doesn't solve the issue. The funny thing is it affects just a few laptops, while others work fine. It's a company network, and I assume some background scripts or permissions are blocking some parts of the application, but just on a few laptops. Any suggestions on how to resolve the preview error? I fear other installations will start experiencing the same issue in time, affecting the ability to review advanced slides quickly during production. Note that the issue is not project related. It's an issue with the application option.

I'm using Captivate 2019. I've noticed the drag and drop can only be accomplished by using the touchpad or a mouse on a Chromebook and not the touchscreen. It is extremely difficult for our 3th graders. (6 year) Also it is not working on the 86inch touchscreens in the classroom. Is there a solution?

Hi all.I have click-and-reveal-slides.You click the 1st button (smart shape), and a text (with connected aduio) and an image is shown, and the 2nd button appears.You click the 2nd button, and the previous text and image is hidden, and a new text and image is shown.There can be multiple buttons, and I'm using cpExtra to show and hide the slide elements and to change the states of the buttons and to show/hide them, so I don't have to use shared actions.  On enter, only the first button is visible. I want to guide the order the user click the buttons in. I also want a tick to show on the button, once it has been clicked. This way, the user can see what button has been clicked and not. I therefore have two buttons (btnNormal1_ and btnVisited1_), so that the tick can also show on the Hover state as well. (I know cpExtra has some functionality here, but I can't make it work properly). All the buttons are set to "Retain State on Slide Revisit". This all works fine, until t

Hello, I have created a responsive project in captivate. I have nearly completed the build and attempted to preview the project from the first slide but when I do the project loads indefinately. I have tried chrome vs edge browsers and continue to have the came issues. I have attempted to export the project and load it as a scorm package to my LMS and the project loads indefinately upon the launching from the LMS. I can sometimes get the project to preview the next 5 slides from within the project build, but not from the first few slides. Please help I need to turn in the project for a Masters degree course.

My team has spent countless hours trying to find a hack, fix, or solution to what we are currently experiencing. So, without further ado....**Scenario 1 (Issue - browser not closed)**User 1 logs into our LMS and launches a Captivate 9 (after April /May 2016 version) HTML5 course for the 1st time and watches 5 pages. User 1 then logs out, BUT they do not close the browser. User 2 logs in and launches the same course for the 1st time and the course pops up the Bookmark option to go where the left off. The issue is that User 2 should have been taken to page 1 without a popup. All browsers act the same way.**Scenario 2 (No Issue - browser closed)**The same as above, but User 1 shuts down the browser forcing User 2 to open a new browser session. User 2 does not experience the bookmark issue (clean slate).**Scenario 3 (No Issue - browser not closed or closed)**User 1 logs into our LMS and launches a Captivate 8 or 9 (pre April  2016 version) HTML5 course for the 1st time and watches 5 p

The JRE included with Captivate is version 11.41.24 on Captivate for macOS. The /Applications/Adobe Captivate 2019/jvm/jre/lib/jrt-fs.jar file is evidence of an active vulnerability, CVE-2021-3517 (NIST: CVE-2021-3517), which should be patched in the latest JRE (version 12+). When can we expect an update that addresses this vulnerability? Our SIEM has been detecting this vulnerability for months, and there has been no Adobe update to address it.

I've seen the posts similar to this from 2014, 2015, etc.  I have Captivate 2019.  I inherited the CPTX file in which the Continue button was transparent, positioned off the stage / slide, and unused / unpublished in the LMS.  I now need to enable the Continue button by changing the style and position on the quiz results slide.  It publishes fine, and the Continue button now appears at the end of the SCORM.  I also checked the Publish Settings > Quiz > Pass or Fail.  It is set to continue on pass and continue on fail.  And pass is required with multiple attempts allowed.  I checked the settings for the Continue button, and "Allow Mouse Click" is enabled, though shaded. However, in the LMS, the Continue button merely changes color / appearance on a down click but no action results from it as expected.  I also checked it in the Preview, and the same problem occurs.  I can click on it, but the Continue button has no impact.&nbsp

Hi, I'm using Adobe Captivate 19.Working for a global company, we need to prepare trainings in both English and German language. Therefore, I'm curious about the possibility/availability of German narration, as this is currently not an option in the list. Is it possible to download addditional package including voice for narration in German?Thank you very much for your help.

Hi folks,  this has probably been addressed but is there anyway to export a Captivate file to PPT format? Perhaps not necessarily with all the animations features, but at least to something that could be tweaked for use in the classsroom? I know we can import but is this a possibility? thanks in advance!!

Hi, Right now, our users access our published content only using standard PCs/laptops.  There is no use case where a mobile device would be used. Unless there's some funky reason not to, everyone I work with is assuming the responsive option is best as it allows for more future flexibility.  Is this an accurate assumption?  Or is there any performance difference between a responsive vs non-responsive published project?    

Hi all, I trust you're well. Sorry for the many questions to the community, but I am a new Captivate User. I have published SCORM files from Captivate to Module before and didn't have a problem. However, I might have to use KAYA soon. Is that some sort of rebranded Moodle? Is it a good place to host SCORM files from Captivate? I will mostly be working with non-responsive projects. Please let me know if you have any experience working with KAYA.

What do I need to purchase or do to make Adobe Fonts publish on my responsive project? I have activated the fonts in Adobe, and created a web project for them; however, when I attempt to publish my project the message below appears and I cannot publish the chosen fonts.
