Hello everyone, I'm trying to re-create the floating hearts in periscope and Instagram that start at the bottom and float upwards. Is there anyway to do this with adobe character animator particles? I've tried with snow and point and shoot, but I can only make things go sideways or down, not upwards. Any ideas? Any solutions, it would be very appreciated thank you!
Hey there, Character Animator community! Just started tinkering with CA last night because it looks so fun. I made a simple puppet to get myself a little more familiar with the way everything works, but for the life of me I can't figure this one thing out:I want to attach the base of the hand that holds the phone to the right arm. As of now the phone and hand move along with the head, which disconnects the hand from the arm and makes the puppet seem a lot more static. Putting the phone layer in the same folder as the rest of the right arm fixes this, but the phone needs to stay in front of the rest of the puppet. I feel like I'm overlooking something, because something so simple shouldn't be this much of a hassle, right? Hopefully I explained myself well enough, I'm not a native English speaker. Any help is much appreciated! Kind regards
I don't know why i am cursed but every project I do I get some sort of issue. This time I've imported two scenes into AE and I get this CH error (in AE):
not sure why this is doing this? See the attached image, here's hoping someone can make sense of it. Thank you.
Hello everyone. I created puppet (like peppa pig) but there is problem with arms. While it walking its arm looks like shaking. What is the problem? Any ideas?
It's been weeks. I have started from scratch with my own Photoshop file, I have used the Start puppet templates....and I have probably watched all of Ok Samurai videos a half dozen times already....and I cannot get a functioning puppet. The attached video shows the problems that won't go away....when I finally got the body to stop floating, the pupils then stopped moving. When I did get them to finally get to work again - by doing nothing but delete the whole puppet and re-import the same file - the head began to distort and nothing was changed from the previous version when it worked fine....i am so frustrated and hope someone can tell me what i am doing wrong!! PLEASE!

I just lost a quite bit of work last night. This program is still new to me, and I don't normally work on Photoshop either. So I'm not sure if what I was doing was stressing my computre or not.I couldn't find much about people talking about organizing in a project on Character Animator.I use iMac 2019 model with 3.2 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i7, 16GB memory, 2GB Graphics.I'm not really familier with those specs, and what each number means to working on Character Animator and Photoshop.oh, and before I lost my data, I got warning message saying I need to upgrade graphics card. Anyhow, my questions are:How many puppets should I have in a scene? (Current project I'm working on has 4 puppets, including midground and background images as puppets) How many scenes should I have in a project?(Currently I only have one project, and I have total 4 scenes, 7 puppets, and about a dozen of SFX)I was wondering if I separate projects, it would make the working files lighter. How many la
So I'm trying to make my character blink but it deforms her face, I really don't know what to do. Any help?
I'm brand new to Character animator and am making my first project. I tried Export > Video via Adobe Media Encoder and got the following error. If I try to open Premiere Pro and import the project as I've read you can do, it just hangs on Contacting Dynamic Link Server. I'm using CH 3.1 and AME 14.0.1 Help! Title edited by Mod
Is it possible for a puppet using parallax to have a piece of it hanging off the face background?I can acheive this with a plain white background that is bigger than the puppet. In this example the red outline is a white background so that the mustache is visible. But if I put the puppet in front of any background that isn't solid white then you can see the white mask. Is there anyway to make this work without using the white mask? I feel like it isn't possible, but I'm hoping someone can help. I tried to upload the puppet file, but it was giving me an error.
I've sucessfully created a walk cycle for this character. But he walks horisontally, not in perspective as I'd like. Or maybe just uphill would do it. Is that possible with Character Animator? If not, can I hack it somehow? I tried rotating the character and adding "wind strength" to have him lean forwards. But "wind strength" didn't make any changes.Any tips on rigging the shadow, is appreciated too.

Hello, I am working with Ch and would like to know if anyone have seen the list of sounds that is supposed to be rocognized? I think I have heard like 150 different sounds... actually I am working with, Swedish, English, French and Spannish, so there aere defdenitively different ways to prounounce the letters.... Do I have to explain?well. in english e is e and a is a and y is y and i is ibut then if I change to swedish.... the i is like the english eand in spannish the a is like the english u in the word un..If you want to know how the french prounounce the e? well it depends on if it has an accent grave or not etc..... so then you say but it doesn't matter... because it is lot letters but yes it is....because when I make the layers names.... I have to write letters.... So back to the problem... I need to have a list of the letters that Ch can recognize in english, and if there are a list for all languages??? well better but if not
I hope i can explain this: I start my puppet at the middle of scene (start position), then i want her to walk to her left and remain there (which she's doing with no problem), however if I start my timeline (playback) to see how everything looks, she does not go back to original position (start position) she just remains there (left), which is what I want her to do, throughout, but if I playback I need her to go back original position (start position). I hope that makes sense. Thanks
I'm trying to make my own moving character. I took the existing "Foxie shareables" config and have been inserting my own graphics from a "Playmobile" character that I took pictures of and photoshoped out.Problem I'm experiencing is, whenever I go under "Non-Walk Group" > "Frontal" > "Head" > and make the "Frontal" view 'visible'..It then does the same thing under "Right Quarter" > "Head" > and makes the "Frontal" view 'visible' under my "Right Quarter" section as well.. instead of leaving "Right Quarter" visible. See image, hope this helps. (How do I ungroup the HEAD's between different stance-profiles?)*It isn't doing this for the body, legs or arms. Just the head!
Hello, I'm on a new Macbook and am having trouble figuring out how to add my Adobe CH character stream as an alternative camera. I'm able to stream, by was wondering how to look as if my animated character appears when I turn on my camera (not my screenshare). I've seen this is possible in Wondows, or with an paid software such as Wirecast, but can it be done free? Please advise. Thanks,
Hello guys I am new to character animator and have been playing around with it but I find sticky head turns to be an amazing feature I would like to add to my puppet. How do I make this happen.
Anybody know how to change the dimensions of the scene? Specicially, I want to record something to be posted vertical (1080 x 1920 instead of 1920 x 1080).
I have a puppet of a small boy walking across the screen, all rigged up, walking the way I want him to. I also have a wagon (consisting of a handle, a body, and wheels - all separate layers). I would like to rig the wagon so the boy can pull it behind him. I'd like the wagon to follow, with a slight hinge movement to the handle as his arm swings. It's been a while since I've used Ch and there's a bunch of new features I haven't had time to play with yet. What would be the best practice for rigging the wagon? Should it be a part pf the little boy puppet, or a separate puppet in the scene? What's the best way to attach the handle to the boys hand, and have it act realistically? Title edited by Mod
The yellow highlight that is on my arms when I am rigging my characters is not showing up on the Left profile layer. The other profiles show up fine. I have the layer named +Right arm as well so that shouldnt be the issue. Also the left arm shows up fine and is rigged as well. How can I get the right arm to show up?
My puppet is See through and cant work out how to make it ...not! I have checked the opacity in photoshop and in Record mode and they are 100% . Any ideas ?
