J'ai fait la derniere mise a jour et depuis le pointeur de l'outil selection à un bug! Il pointe pas au bout de la fleche mais a l'arriere de celle ci? C'est tres derangeant et je sais pas comment y remedier?

I am experiencing a serious Japanese text input issue in Adobe Illustrator on Windows.When I use the Type Tool and click on a specific location, the text cursor appears correctly at the location where I clicked. However, when I start typing Japanese text, the characters are displayed at the top-left corner of the document instead of at the cursor position.The behavior is extremely disruptive because I have to press Enter before the text suddenly appears at the correct location.Interestingly, typing Latin characters such as “abc” works correctly. The problem occurs specifically with Japanese text input.I eventually discovered that enabling Preferences > Type > “Apply Inline Input to Non-Latin Text” fixes the problem.This means that a basic Japanese text input setting can become disabled and cause Japanese text to appear in a completely incorrect location, without any obvious indication of what is wrong.I had already: Restarted Illustrator Restarted my computer Disabled GPU Per

I use some extensions from Adobe Marketplace like Scripshon Trees.Sometimes all items in Windows - Extensions become greyed outand I can’t use them until I reload the app.I work on Mac OS Tahoe 26.5.2 in Illustrator 30.6.I will be very thankful to anybody who could help me to fix this.Thanks in advance!

The Ctrl+Y keyboard shortcut (Outline/Preview mode) is unresponsive in Adobe Illustrator when GPU Performance is turned on. Disabling GPU Performance resolves the issue, but this workaround is not viable for large projects due to performance degradation.Steps taken:Confirmed the shortcut works when GPU Performance is disabled Updated graphics drivers to latest version Issue persists across restartsRequest:Is there a solution that allows me to keep GPU acceleration enabled while restoring Ctrl+Y functionality?

I have never used the new ai tools available in Illustrator. However, in the background, they now eat up more ram than the program itself. In an era where there is a massive, expensive, ram shortage, users can not endlessly add more ram to their workstations just to feed features that we are not utilizing. I currently have 32 GB on my workstation. I have never had this issue before.  Please allow users to disable this feature or at the very least, cut off any background processes if these tools are not actively being used.     

My computer has a snapdragon processor, meaning both Illustrator and InDesign isn’t fully developed for my computer. Instead I use the beta versions of both. But yesterday the illustrator beta disappeared from my creative cloud app, and I can’t find any trace of it. It also happened with inDesign back in December, so I guess here I am again. 

When I work on a new project, sometimes the AIC file simply stops autosaving. For whatever reason, it falls out of sync - which, for me, is not the issue. I guess it's understandable that sometimes files get corrupted, or are too big, or something in the sync fails. I don't understand the technicalities behind it, but I can understand it happens.My issue is, the fact that there is no BIG pop up alert that disables my screen and lets me know "Your file has stopped autosaving, if something crashes now you will lose all progress", is crazy. For some reason the File Recovery feature doesn't work with AIC files that have fallen out of sync, it only works with local files. And that also depends on whether it managed to save a recovery before crashing. So essentially, if I use the cloud, and something crashes (which lets be honest can happen often even on my quite powerful PC), I am sure to lose progress - and with it time and money.This, along with the fact there is no longer an AutoSave fea

If I had a rectangular text box sitting on top of a rectangular shape, I used to be able to use my direct selection tool, select the bottom anchor points of both the shape and the text box, and resize them together. Now when I select them both, the shape changes size but the text box remains the same shape and size and just moves the entire box with the shape anchors. What gives? Is there a setting I need to change or has this been updated away? It is especially usefeul for odd shaped text boxes with multiple anchor points that has become increasingly frustrating to have to click each anchor point of the text box instead of dragging and selecting all points.

I’m reposting this as it appears my previous post has disappeared, hoping a mod can take a look at an error log?My illustrator keeps on crashing when I hit ‘print’ on the print dialog box. It’s not every time and happens on complex files as well as basic files across multiple printers.Two of the most recent error logs can be found here. I’ve tried a complete re-installation of Ai but still have the issue and I don’t get the issue from inDesign. ThanksColin 

I am exporting SVG files from illustrator that I then insert into a Microsoft Visio document. I updated illustrator from 30.2.1 to the current 30.6 and this export stopped working properly.Now when i save the svg file from illustrator and insert it into the Visio the size of the svg has changed. I played with the svg settings when exporting from illustrator but no luck.Any thoughts?

This was random at times, now its becoming a very consistent thing is Illustrator, when I have colours set for a project and open this swatches window this is what I greeted by. What is actually happening, from files not saving properly to this… I am forced to restart Illustrator many times because of this (I know i can set a colour palette above the project to make it easier but this is how I work).

On Illustrator 2025 (29.0), I have selected Show Indic Options, Arabic text, and Middle Eastern Line Single-Line Composer. However, while the text displays normally, sentences don't start where they should, and the punctuation (full stops/commas) always end up on the right of the text (incorrectly). I am unable to fix this, and installing Illustrator 2024 did not help either.

Illustrator version 28.3When entering presentation mode (shift+F), and then escape, Illustrator windows becomes fullscreen.It's over my screen size. This causes me to manually adjust the window every time. It would be great to get back to same size and position.I tested the previous version. Version 28 is the only normal version. All other versions have problems.

How do i smooth these sharp lines?

How can I prevent the ‘Path/Simplify’ operation starting immediately, before I can access the Simplify options window? Every time I use ‘Path/Simpliify, I am unable to access the options window, because the Simpllify operation always starts immediately.

In one of the recent updates to Ai (Beta), I noticed that when I select an object it wants to hold onto the arrow automatically. It gets very frustrating. I tested the issue in the standard Ai and it didn't seem to click and hold onto items like beta. Is there a way to turn this "feature" off in the beta version or do I just need to just ditch the beta version to get away from it?

I have to build a lot of bar charts (vertical bars). Sometimes the identifying text that goes over each bar is too long, so I have to rotate the text 90 degrees to fit in the bar. I then have to do this for ALL the bars, so that the text is all facing the same way. I would like to figure out a way to rotate all the text at once. When I try to do it, it stacks the text… which I don’t want it to do. This probably doesn’t make sense, so I’m attaching a screenshot. You can see the two red numbers on the left have been rotated manually (I do have a keyboard shortcut to do this, but I still have to do it to EACH number separately). The red numbers on the right haven’t been rotated yet. And of course I haven’t aligned them over the bars. That’s the next step. Anyway, if you have any ideas, please let me know. Thanks! 

When I export a selection on illustrator as a png with a transparent background and paste it into a word document to save as a PDF, opening the pdf document on Adobe Acrobat shows a faint outline around the image. Below, on the left is how the image looks when I paste it into a Word Document and on the right you’ll see what happens when I save that document as a PDF and view it on Adobe Acrobat.Is there any way to get rid of this border so it does not show up in PDFs? I manage a design department where we're constantly working with documents that have multiple placed and embedded images in each. As an example, we often have 10 instances each of 4 different images in a given document. These links are constantly changing and being updated on a per-client basis. My concern is that my designers waste a lot of time relinking these embedded graphics as the software prompts the user to relink each one individually. If the designer needs to replace 10 of the linked graphics with, say, "Royal Mahogany", they have to select all 10, select the relink option and specify the file they want to replace the graphic with by clicking on and placing the selected file for each instance of the graphic. So if they're replacing the links of 10 images, they have to select and place the desired file 10 times. Is there any way to select multiple placed images and replace them all at once? Hi everyone, I have a question about Adobe Illustrator’s Generative features.I created a vector artwork manually by myself, I drew all the shapes and chose all the colors myself. I did not intentionally use Generative AI or click the Generate button.However, I noticed that the Generative/Generate Vectors icon appeared blue in Illustrator, and at one point I clicked the Generative icon/menu just to see the options.Does the blue icon indicate that Generative AI was used on my artwork? Or does it simply indicate that the Generative feature/tool is available or selected?I want to make sure that my artwork is still considered manually created and that I did not accidentally generate anything with AI.Thank you!This is before i click itAnd this is afterThis is when im clicking it 

Hello, everyone.In Illustrator, when I use the color wheel, I can no longer find Pantone equivalents for my CMYK (or RGB) colors. The software consistently converts the color to grayscale. This used to work perfectly. Now I have to use Photoshop to convert these colors to spot colors. I should note that I’ve added .acb color swatch files to the designated folder:C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator 2026\Presets\fr_FR\Color Swatches\Color Catalogs This seems like a bug caused by a recent update.Thank you for your help.​​​​​​​

Hi, I’m trying to soften the edges of the shading on a tree (pictures attached.)  As a possible workaround, I added a gaussian blur to the shading as my expectation, but I can’t get a similar look if I were to choose Object<Blend<Make.  Instead, it gives me some wonky results.  What can I do differently?
