This appeared in my mac's menu bar, somewhat randomly, while I had illustrator open. This was not while using the eyedropper tool, which I've seen mentioned elsewhere as the reason this might appear. It was actually just while I had a project open in a window, but was working on something else in an unrelated app.I quit Illustrator, which got rid of it in the menu bar, but it again reappeared randomly the next time I had Illustrator open. This time, when I closed the app, the "Adobe Illustrator 2025 is recording your screen" doesn't go away.I checked my settings/permissions, and I haven't granted Illustrator permission to record my screen in the first place, so this feels quite shady. Can anyone help explain what's going on here/why?

I have a file with a bunch of icons I've created and the file doesn't always appear in the recent list of items. Is there a way to make it always handy? Or is there a better way to save those icons that are frequently used? Thanks! 

Hello! I am having an issue with Illustrator.I have a document that I was working on yesterday with no problem. This morning it went into Outline mode, and came up with a little box that said "Can't finish previewing." Then it switches to Outline mode. Images in the document are lost. Is there a way to set it back to standard mode so I can work with images again?

I have two lines in Illustrator. Both are specced a magenta. The line drawn with the pencil looks magenta as you would expect. The second line is drawn with the paintbrush tool and looks like a weird purple colour even though it’s specced exactly the same as the other line for 100% magenta.A) WhyB) How do i fix my brush-drawn line to actually be the colour it should be? I’ve added two screengrabs…Any help will be greatly appreciated. 

Hello community,This bug is becoming the most frustrating thing that has ever happened to Illustrator for many many years.It's that simple, one on every two times I launch Illustrator the GPU preview is broken. I have updated Windows 11 Pro and updated both graphic cards on my laptop, and it keeps breaking and breaking... I even refreshed all my settings, and it keeps doing it. How come this lingers around for so many years?How come there is no warning or no workaround to prevent or fix this issue before it happens or knowing that it has happened?How come the CPU preview is still a thing?So many questions... still no answers nor solutions. System:Windows 11 Pro - Version 23H2 - OS build 22631.3447Graphic:NVIDIA RTX 3500 Ada Generation Laptop GPU 551.86 - up-to-dateIntel UHD Graphics - up-to-dateIf anyone knows what is happening... thanks!

Hi,I have a problem in Illustrator.I made this pattern from the same object repeated around a circle. All strokes originally had the same thickness.The artwork is now expanded, and all shapes have been united/merged. There are no live strokes anymore, only filled vector shapes.The black color is the same everywhere: 100% K (C0 M0 Y0 K100).The strange thing is that the artwork looks correct in Illustrator, but some outlines appear thicker than others:in exported PDFs when the PDF is placed in InDesign in printHas anyone seen this before or know what could cause it?I've attached a screenshot.Thanks for any help!Ellen 

Adobe Cc -I have been trying to use 'Concept to Vector tool' for the first time, attempting the simplest task of a line drawing and creating a line vector and I still get a RED notice that there is high demand and I should try the prompt later. I see others posted the same issue 1 and 2 years ago - has it been resolved? How patient do we need to be? 

I have not been able to save to creative cloud or open a creative cloud file from the illustrator app for a couple weeks now. Anytime i try it just goes to this page and never finishes loading. I can open my files from the cloud app but that doesnt help me with saving my files. I’ve just been saving to my desktop for now but would love if this worked. Yes i’ve restarted the app and tried again as well as restarted my computer.  

I’ve been using the PC desktop beta app for Illustrator and it’s been such a big help for work. I don’t have a MAC and never have so it’s been such a blessing to learn and use in the past few months. Then it was just gone overnight. The in-browser option just doesn’t compare.Realizing it was a beta so an official one might be coming but has there been info on if so and when? Would be very useful for my work.Thanks

Illustrator intermittently stops allowing objects to be moved by dragging with either the mouse or a Wacom pen.The objects can still be selected, scaled, rotated and moved using the keyboard arrow keys. Only click-and-drag movement stops working.When attempting to drag an object, Windows plays the standard notification sound (the short "ding" indicating an action could not be completed).Restarting Illustrator does not resolve the issue. Restarting Windows restores the functionality until the issue occurs again.The problem occurs approximately once per day.The issue affects Illustrator 2025 and 2026 on the same computer. Photoshop and other applications continue to work normally. Also reinstalled Wacom Drivers, without success.The issue first appeared approximately three months ago. Before that, I had used Illustrator for years on the same computer without ever experiencing this problem.

Add an option to select transparent background format when exporting or saving as TIFF in the software; currently, exports have a white background.

I’m experiencing a color inconsistency in Adobe Illustrator between GPU Preview and CPU Preview.My color settings are synchronized through Adobe Bridge. I’m working with Adobe RGB (1998) for RGB and U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2 for CMYK. True Tone and Night Shift are both turned off on my Mac.When GPU Preview is enabled, the colors in my artwork appear different from how they look in CPU Preview and in the exported PNG or PDF. CPU Preview appears to display the color more accurately, but switching to CPU Preview disables Animated Zoom, which makes it difficult to work efficiently.I would also appreciate guidance on which preview should be trusted as the most accurate representation of the exported artwork.

Saving SVG files in Adobe Illustrator 2026 cause artboard/viewBox to disappear resulting in a cropped image.I have found that I can work around this by doing a Save As and checking the Use Artboards option but future saves drop them and the view box gets lost the next time I try to save. Is this a bug and if intentional behavior, is there some way to force Illustrator to honor my artboards with a setting toggle somewhere?Example SVG file that will lose its viewBox on save:<svg xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" viewBox="0 0 512 512"><circle cx="256" cy="256" r="128"/></svg>Open, slightly move circle, save, viewBox is lost, re-opening shows it truncated.

I’m working with a batch script that processes and expands plugin items. The problem, is when I have over 100 open, app.executeMenuCommand("expandStyle") throws a popup message “Can’t Ungroup the objects.” I can’t skip this by placing the menu command in a try catch. No matter how much sleep and redraw I add to the document it won’t catch up either.I think I’m experiencing an illustrator memory issue, is there a way to capture this error when it fails so that I can at least get notified in a more descriptive way?

The proportion feature in the "Transform Panel" is always active (please watch the video). I upgraded from version 2025 to the latest 2026 (30.6) version (iMac M4, MacOsX 15.7.7), I wasn't experiencing this problem before. I'm developing an RF & Antenna Calculators app and need to create high-quality, realistic images of different types of antennas for the app and website. These include Yagi antennas, dipoles, vertical antennas, log-periodic antennas, parabolic dish antennas, and handheld radio antennas.Is Adobe Firefly a good choice for generating accurate technical-looking antenna images? If so: What prompts work best for realistic RF antenna illustrations? Can Firefly generate images with transparent backgrounds? How can I keep a consistent style across multiple antenna types? Are there any tips for creating clean, professional images suitable for a mobile app and website? Yesterday I updated Illustrator to version 30.7.0.114, and suddenly the error "com.adobe.crashreporter" appeared in C:\Users\User\AppData\LocalLow. What is this, and will it have any impact? 

I thought this would have been a simple thing but maybe I’m being naïve.  I have three shapes that actually make up one logo.  I want to export as an SVG file for another program.  I really need it to be one shape so I want to merge them together before I export. All I seem to be able to do is group them together.  I have tried Pathfinder Unite and Merge but I still have multiple shapes. Is there any way to achieve this?   Should I make it a compound path? Thanks
