Questions

Per the below screenshot, for whatever reason my text is appearing pixelated, like an enlarged raster image. I am creating the text with the text tool, and I am adding no effects. There is no raster effect applied, either. I was initially concerned it was an issue with my MacBook Pro's GPU. But it looks pixelated on my other computer too.   As you can see, it's occuring with two separate text objects, both using different fonts.Thoughts?

I'm new to Illustrator and I want to make a repeating pattern of shapes slowly appear to fall apart as it moves from left to right. Thing of a piece of grid paper where the lines of the grid slowly start to vanish into white space. I created my basic shape (a hexagon with internal lines) and the copied-and-pasted it over and over to create the "grid paper" that I want to start with, but I want to then delete individual line segments, not the hexagons or internal triangles that were created. The .ai file I built is here (some bug won't let me post it), and here's a screenshot of what I'm trying to create (I modeled in Sketchup, but want to learn how to use Illustrator for this). You'll see in the Illustrator file that the repeating shape I made isn't line segments, it's just a bunch of shapes on top of each other. I want to just be able to convert the whole image into one shape with a bunch of line segments and then be able to delete those to make interesting ways of "falling

Hey all, I'm new to vector illustration. I'm trying to create a head and then fill it. How would you fill this path? I wanted the left ear to curve in a little so I made two separate paths. Joining and selecting creates an unexpected pattern.  

This is a very basic problem I'm sure but I'm used to working in indesign. I have a design project with images laid out across a 5 page PDF. When I export the images are coming out blurry. The aspect ratio for each page is 1920 x 1080. Help!  ThanksMarion

I dont think this tool or feature exhists, but if it does, can someone tell me? Or if a version of this exhists, that would be great to know about. I struggle so much with trying to save large files into shared folders with my company's VPN while WFH. I have to play around with deleting certain swatches that I created that I think might be too large or deleting brushes I dont need and then rasterizing vectors (pulling a copy of them to the side of the artboard obviously) to make the file small enough not to consistantly crash illustrator. Even my IT dept has struggled to help me figure out better ways to reduce the file size.  I want to know if a program/tool/feature exhists that is laid out like the layers panel, but tells you how much each layer is contributing to the size of the file I am saving. That way, I can pinpoint exactly where the issue is and figure it out from there. I work in clothing design and will sometimes have like 20 prints created in the swatch palette or

Hey all,I've got a question about implementing CMYK logo files into a Microsoft Word document. My colleague would like to print some Word documents with our logo. However, most applicable import file types convert colors to RGB or already are (PNG, WMF, EMF). I understand that TIFFS will bloat the size of the document substantially.  What is the best practice in this use case for making sure logo colors are printed accurately in Microsoft Suite programs? Aside from producing the documents in the Adobe Suite itself, or creating a letterhead? Thanks for your comments!

When I make drawings for client in Illustrator, I have a line on the drawings where my clients are supposed to sign when they approve the drawings.  In Acrobat, there is a function to "prepare a form" where you can choose certain form fields that are automatically ready to be filled. Is there a way I can set something up like that in Illustrator so that I don't need to save my Illustrator file to pdf, open it in Acrobat, and then create that form field? 

I am having an issue with a new installation. I just started this job, got my computer (Dell Inspirion 2-1 laptop) set up with a new business account in Adobe, and got the software installed. I cannot print from Illustratior to the HP Laserjet Printer, pages come out blank. I have tried mutiple files and color modes, nothing works.Photoshop and PDFs print just fine. I have tried to reset the preferences, and "Discard White Overprint" and nothing is working. At this point your software is making me look bad to my new employer. Please help me figure out what is wrong with your software and how to fix it.

Hi Community, I created 10 artboards and added 4 more before I shut down my mac - I saved my file before shutting down. In the morning when I logged back in - it's missing the 4 pages. Theres no recovery file - nothing; like it was never done? I am not sure what has happended but scares me as most of my work is on fine deadlines. Is it due to the number of artboards and it reached its capacity - but surely it can't just vanish -  I am using a Macbook M1 Pro, running Sonoma 14.6.1

Bonjour à tous !J'ai un problème pour lancer une impression, qui intervient du jour au lendemain, Lundi ça fonctionnait et depuis Mardi non, je n'ai pas fait d'actions particulières entre temps. Je suis sous Windows 10.Au moment de lancer l'impression avec le bouton "Imprimer", la fenêtre d'impression reste bloqué à 0%, et impossible de revenir en arrière avec Annuler. Je dois donc fermer le logiciel de force. Pas de statut d'impression en cours dans la barre de tâche. J'ai testé avec Photoshop, Acrobat ou internet, pas de problèmes d'impression...Avez-vous des conseils ?J'ai déjà tenté d'éteindre et rallumer le PC depuis hier plusieurs fois, désinstaller/réinstaller le logiciel plusieurs fois, réinitialiser ou supprimer les préférences, mais toujours le même problème. Merci !Via des autres PC de mon entreprise avec Illustrator ça fonctionne.

I was shutting down Illustrator 2020 after a freeze and decided to open the submenu for Ill in the End Task window. This is the first time I've heard of this application and google is giving me just a couple mentions but no explanation of its function. Curiosity has gotten the best of me now, so I'm just wondering, does anyone know? Is it a 2020 addition? I don't have any real reason to find out, though if it has anything to do with my frequent crashes that might be useful to know. (In case anyone asks, these crashes have persisted for a couple months now and my CC version is up to date, though I do need to do a Windows update tonight.) It's file location is C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator 2020\Support Files\Contents\Windows If anyone happens to know, cool!

 Preciso baixar a extensão do pantone connect no illustrator e quando vou fazer isso dá erro. Há semanas que não consigo utilizar o adobe express, aparece conexão interrompida, sem razão aparente.O adobe firefly fica em branco, não abre. Já utilizei outro browser, tentei em modo anonimo, reiniciei, e nada resolve. Preciso de ajuda pois preciso utilizar esses recursos que mencionei e não funcionam!

Dear comrades, I dnt know what I did. and  I have no clue either what is happening. everythng I draw is slanted! Please rescue me. 

I'm working with a customer supplied file that uses a dark gray built cmyk color 69/64/62/59. I'm trying to convert it to see what percentage of black it will be. When I convert the color to grayscale, it changes to 100% black, instead of a halftone of black (40%, 65%, etc.). This seems to be a glitch, but maybe there is a setting I'm missing.

Illustrator used to export a jpeg and include the document's bleed settings when I checked "use artboards", but now it is not including the bleed. Is this a setting that's been changed in one of the updates recently? I can't find any settings about it, but it's really frustrating to have to include bleed in the artboard size now just to export a jpeg when all of our previous and current files are set up using the bleed settings.

Hello,Since the last update (now on V 29.2.1), I have printing problems.When I try printing to my laser engraving printer (has always worked and never updated his driver since a couple of years) The printing bar progression remains to 0% and stays so.Any ideas of what has changed since last update of Illustrator?Thanks for your help.

Printing causes Illustrator to crash.Noticed it first on 17.01.25Now impossible to print.

Hello, hoping someone can help. Ive got the latest update, hadnt changed anything else and now my documents will not print. Ive reinstalled Illustrator, reinstalled my printer/drivers and also tried printing from other printers within Illustrator. No success.I can print form InDesign, but hoping to get illustrator back up and working.When i click the print button, the print dialog box comes up but then freezes and I have to use Ctrl, Alt, Delete to get out of illustrator altogether. Even clicking the cancel button doesnt do anything.Please help 🙂 TIA

I was created short keys for the menu commands and tools in adobe illustrator 2025 but its not working. may i know the reason?Thanks in Advance
