I am working on a project that requires me to make more than one artboard. I use the same color swatch on both artboards but they are printing  different shades from each other and not identical colors. Why is this happening?

Hi, I am very new to scripting and am unsure how to even start.Is anyone able to assist with creating a script for the below. Starting with a single layer file I need to select and delete all transparent objects,rename current layer as "CUT"create a new layer called "reg" and move all items with spot colour "VELDOTS" to that layer Pretty simple hopefully. Thank you in advance, Brent.

Hello,how do I resize a graph? From what I can see, I can only set its size when I create it?I guess I could Transform > Scale an existing graph - but I'd rather set a fixed width and height so I can keep the proportions right for when I import the graph into InDesign.Thanks!

I'm using an Mac M1 Macbook Pro, previously using Sonoma, now upadated to Sequoia in the hope it would resolve the issue that Illustrator is eating up application memory. AS you can see from the screenshot, with no files currently open, it's using over 30gb which is causing it to slow down or crash. Anyone else having this issue or know how to resolve it? It's giving me a massive headache. Thanks!

Hello everyone, I bought my used iMac in a few months ago and I have to use Adobe Illustrator for school, but then i tried to open it, it said that i have to change it to read and write, but then when i tried to change it here was a text about something that i do not have permission to change that and i have to ask the user before me. Hi all, Recently, I've been facing a problem with a very simple feature in illustrator. Just for for example: in the colour picker, if I change the shade of magenta from 60% to 70% – either scolling the colour bar or typing the number, it doesn't matter, ok? –, Illustrator doesn't apply the colour change result autommatically in the object anymore. I have to press 'Enter' every time to have the result made, which has been making me waste time while working.Does someone know how to fix it?Thank you Best Regards, Elmo Rosa

i'm making some simple labels and i want them numbered example: "1. item one" but i just want to type the numbers in myself as i want to treat them as separate textframes, but whenever i type in "1." it turns it into a numbered list. it is really annoying. anyway to stop this? [renamed by mod]

I have been trying to find if it possible to apply the inflate (Effect -> 3D and Materils -> Inflate) effect using javascript. I have many files that I would like to automate this effect.Is this possible?If there is no straightforward way, how can I go about it to create a way to inflate these .ai files that I have?

I have some stroked circles that I've added the roughen effect to, but when I expand the appearance of them, they become compound paths instead of the lines that they were. My steps are Object > Expand Appearance (Expand is greyed out). I don't remember expanding roughened lines ever creating filled shapes. I swear expanding created lines with anchor points. This feels like it came about the same time as another bug that I'll post separately for. Here is an example:

After two updates ago, I noticed that using the Eyedropper tool to get fills and gradients will take it from the donor element, but it places the fill below the Contents layer in the Appearance Panel, making it seem that the Eyedropper tool is not working. I believe this is a bug, as it only began this behavior after an update about a month ago.Here is a screenshot of the behavior after using Eyedropper tool to apply the orange gradient to the black circles: 

Using a macbookpro, OS 12.5, M1 chip, 16GB memory I am now working on an illustrated book. About 45 pages (artboards) in all. Each page has an illustration that fills the artboard. Each original artwork (in psd format) is about 30Mb but they are linked into the AI file, not embedded. Everything worked smoothly and quickly under AI 2023 but after AI automatically upgraded to 2024, I often get the spinning color wheel when I try to navigate among the artboards. To open the file takes 60 seconds, and to save the file take several minutes. Can anyone suggest how I can speed things up? Is there a way to revert to using AI 2023? I don’t find version 2023 in my Applications folder anymore. Just 2024

Hi. Is it possible to use a wacom tablet with illustrator and get pressure sensitivity without having windows ink in enabled in the wacom drivers?Windows ink is driving me crazy. In Photoshop you can still use pressure sensitivity if you add a user config file like this:1. Create a file that contains instructions to revert to the WinTab functionality.2. Create a text file in a text editor such as Notepad. Type in the following lines:# Use WinTabUseSystemStylus 0 3. Save the file as a plain text file named PSUserConfig.txt4. Put (copy) the file into the Photoshop settings folder: C:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2015\Adobe Photoshop CC 2015 Settings\5. Restart Photoshop and check the pen pressure and overall performance.I have tried to google for a similar solution for Adobe Illustrator but nothing came up. Does anyone know?

This script executes first entry from a Scripts with name starting with "f".    RWin::Send, !frf  How to press second entry (script) which name starts with f?Example, Scriprs menu commans (scripts): ... exportDocs fitAndCenter fitSelection fitAndScale ... Currently that script executes firAndCenter, but I need fitSelection.

I uploaded the svg file that I created in Adobe Illustrator to whiteboard animation software. After playing, the colors become blurry and faded.(last picture). Do you have any idea how can I solve this problem? ( i also attached the screen record video). Thanks. 

I want to center my artboard to the center of the canvas. How do I do that? When I set the artboard coordinates to 0,0 it is not centered on the canvas. Why would that be? See the picture for example. 

I have been trying to download the stock image #197301769 but everyttime I download it on my iPad and go to import it, AI says it is unable to. I have no idea how to fix it, I tried it on desktop as well.  Thank you. 

Hi, I'm trying to wrap  text and some very basic graphics on a simple sphere. The text gets completly distorted for some reason. I've tried converting the text to a shape, symbol, ext but nothing works. Any idea?? Here is a test example
