I recently updated to windows 11 and all of a sudden when trying to convert my DXF files to AI (28.6) has stopped working and my AI program crashes.  this is the current error code I am getting. Does anyone have a fix? Rotation of an object does not "remember" how it was originally created if you use the Transform Rotate panel.  It would be great if you use this feature that it would remember the original orientation of the object (like in Flash).

Bonjour, Je rencontre depuis ce matin un souci sur Illustrator, lorsque je souhaite partager un lien d'une création (le bouton bleu "Partage" en haut à droite"), je n'ai plus l'option "Toutes les personnes disposant du lien peuvent commenter". Je ne peux mettre que l'option "seules les personnes invitées peuvent commenter". D'où celà vient-il ? J'aimerai récupérer la première option, afin de demander valider du contenu auprès de personnes qui ne'ont pas de compte adobe. Merci d'avance pour votre retour. Simon RACINEUX

Why is this vector distorting when I make it smaller?

I have noticed whenever I open Illustrator, all the apps in my system (including Illustrator), Adobe and others become really jittery and slow. The CPU does not go over 30%-50% usage, the Ram does not go over 50%, the GPU usage remains below 10-20% depending on the application.This happens on both Intel and AMD systems. I don't understand where the bottleneck is coming from.Is there anyway to figure out why the system becomes so slow that multitasking becomes near impossible.

How can I get the text style to be able to be edited when placed from the library?

I have read the forums on this topic and have tried uninstall/install renaming preferences folders and tried to delete some Temp files within AppData and Illustrator still will not open. It gets lagged (stall) when the plugin "SmartEditUI.aip" trys to install. I run a full time business using this software and this is costing me money not being able to use the software.The software was working fine 2 days ago. What are the best practices for optimizing performance in Adobe Illustrator?

It would be amazing if the chart tool could add data labels like it does for categories. I make so many charts and don't understand why Microsoft products can do this but it's never possible in Illustrator after all these years.

I use Nvidia GC. I wish to know whether there is a way to get this GC driver update automatically. Because after frequent Ai crash only I check the update & did it mannualy.    

Longtime user of both Adobe and Apple products; from the beginning (Illustrator 88) and the Macs with Motorola chips.I recently purchased a MacBook Pro 16" M3, to replace an aged (intel) iMac (2019). Did the data migration from the old to new Mac, without issue. Also did a clean install of all Apps, including Adobe CC.With the MacBook up and running (apps installed), for some unknown reason, now all my Adobe Illustrator files show as blank icons, in the Finder?!? And it's only happening with Ai files. PDF, PSD, etc… icons all display normally in the Finder?!? Double clicking the file does open in Illustrator. I regularly save screen shots of the files I release to; clients, printers, and include a file directory with the files. Now receiving questions from prepress and clients, when they see the screen shot with blank (unrecognizable) file icons.I spent hours trying to resolve. Hello,I am working on a project that seems like it would be so simple, but it has proved to be quite the challenge.First was trying to get a circle to grow from one pre-determined size to a  secondary pre-determined size with a fixed size between the shapes.I had some success starting with an Effect-Distort and Transform option to create the initial objects.Now I am trying to get them around a curved shape and I am dealing with the issue of objects distorting on the path. I found dome great tutorials if I could keep the lines staring, but nothing for a curve. Is there any known way to have a shape hold its form without distorting on a path, when applied as a brush? If not, is there a better way to create the multiple growing in size objects on a curved path from the start?thanksbabs

Good day,I create labels for printing in Adobe Illustrator. When the printer opens the file, it shows a problem - transparency is used. How can I remove the transparency mask in the final .pdf file to keep the appearance? Thank you

Hey,Been using Illustrator for a million years.Something recently changed in how fills and strokes affect elements inside a group.In general, I expect a Fill effect on a group to apply to the whole group as a single object, rather than apply the fill individually to each part of the group.To give an example:These are 2 separate regular squares.I would like to apply a gradient on top of the existing fill.To receive this effect: (Which in this example I got by placing a compound object above the 2 squares, defeating the purpose of using the appearnce tab on a group).So like always, I group the 2 squares and apply a fill effect on the group, which gives me this horrid result:Why is the fill effect being applied separately to every element inside the group???Why would it even change? am I being gaslit by Adobe?SO MANY QUESTIONS.Anyone know of a setting that fixes this behavior?Using the latest Ai version and all that.Thank you for reading.

Hi. I am currently trying to prepare an Illustrator file and import it into After Effects, so that I'm later able to animate it. Main issue is that once converted to a shape layer in AE, the fill and stroke for each object in that layer are in a separate group, for example, I end up having 16 groups when I should actually have 8. Here's a look at my proccess for more info:- AI Layers are Released to Layers (Sequence) before importing to AE.- AI File is imported as a Composition, and I retain layer size.- Create shapes from vector layer. I have provided screenshots that show separate groups in AE for a plant illustration where I would like each leaf to be in its own group, but instead, it splits the stroke and fill into Group 1 (stroke)  and Group 2 (fill), same goes for the rest.Only "fix" is to repeat the same proccess, but instead, delete every other layer in Illustrator and keep the plant only (named "plant R - 1"), which gives me both the fill and stroke for each lea

I argued with my boss and leads that designing presentations in Figma was not the way. I talked about Illustrator, and making top-tier presentations and PDFs. I sold them on it hard. I just spent a week re-doing a deck for them, and am now finding out that Illustrator's PDF export is totally broken. I used AI for print for over a decade, and have made hundreds of crisp PDFs. I can no longer export PDFs with images that look good. It is NOT possible. No matter the resolution of the source, no matter the downsampling option (if any it picked), every raster image comes out looking like a steppe pyramid. So much aliasing.If I export each artboard as a PNG (only using the legacy option), they all come out perfectly crisp. ANY OTHER method of trying to get those images out of Illustrator makes them look like garbage. I feel so damned embarassed. I'm going to have to tell them we can't realistically do it this way (I'm not exporting individual PNG pages for everything).I'm really disappointed

It has started occuring in the last couple months where I will use the Direct Selection tool to, say select a shape within a group, and Illustrator disapears and there's a crash report pop-up. I thought maybe it was due to some complex shapes, but it has happened with objects as simple as a circle. Just happens randomly, and lately it has been occuring almost daily for weeks now. I'm scared to use the tool because I'm afraid it will crash the program- though I have to say Ai has gotten really good at saving progress before a crash so not a lot of lost progress. Mostly annoyance and losing momentum.  Technical notes:- Macbook Pro M2 Max - 63GB Memory - 4TB HD- Running Ventrua 13.6.2- Illustrator version 28.2 (I will try updating to 28.3...)- I've tried restarting, shutting down, close other programs, nothing effects it  

WTF do Adobe Apps flicker? I will use the apps for a while with no issues and then all of a sudden the apps start flickering AGAIN! Illustrator started yesterday and now it keeps flickering! I am so sick and tired of this crap and stuff not working correctly.  Running everything up to date on MacOS and Adobe

Hello everyone,I've got a problem that is getting me crazy. Yesterday I modified an illustrator file that I used to export in SVG so the web programmer can put on a website page.I named the main objects levels to find them easily on the code and everything went right until yesterday. Now when I try to export it some IDs (not all) generates random numbers at the end og the name and I can't understand why.Can someone help me?Thanks
