Questions

A new one: I cannot adjust the bullets on my bulleted text. Anytime I select this function from the type panel, Illustrator crashes. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling, dropping back to an earlier version, retyping the text, etc. The result is the same. Illustrator has never been as problematic for me in the 20+ years I've been using it as it has in the last month; it is one issue after another. Very frustrating.

The beach ball was always show up when Illusstrator badge was appeared and then start by plain grey windows and beach ball was spinning that need to force stop everytime  How can I fix them ?

I will try to keep this as simple as possible.I have a PDF that I want to link to a website.I create an object/shape on the PDF. I define the URL via the "Attributes" panel.Let's say I use "http://www.google.com"I export the PDF and check off "preserve hyperlinks."When I open the PDf and click on the link, it instead tries to visit"C://User/Name/Desktop/google.com"No matter what I do. Changing the shape, polygon or rectangle, it does NOT work.Anyone have any experience iwth this one?

Adobe applications are not syncing newly installed fonts on the system. What is the solution to this problem?

Hello, There are a lot of issues with illustrator at the moment. Inpossible to select opbjects, glitchy as hell. But let's talk about a different problem! Check the video attached. These are 4 text elements connected, with a yellow element in the back. If I push SHIFT + OPTION + COMMAND, I should scale everything inproportion, from the center.But, nope. Text just got scaled around completely wrong.I can't work with illustrator anymore if it keep being this bad. Nothing seem to work properly.

i am hoping for some help - i have (up to date) adobe CC through work - our mac technician has just left so there is no support if you are a mac user and because of adobe being a work account I cant do a live chat with adobe as our admistrator needs to do it. I am on a new mac book air 13 inch, 16gb memory, Moc os 14.6.1, Apple M3 chip. All other adobe programmes work fine (PS and INd mainly used) but illustrator wont even load...it gets to the start up screen and just stops, then has to force quit. IT have done all the usual - uninstall and re-intall, remove older versions, shut down, restart, log out, log in etc. and also re-set the mac book air. The lap top is a month old and when i first got it, illustrator 24 was working and then just stopped and neither version will work now. Can any one make any suggestions as to how to fix this? i teach graphic design so need illustrator to work fairly urgently.  Many thanks. 

Following updating to AI 30.0, Review Links are now broken, displaying a 404 Asset Not found error. 

My illustrator review links aren't working. When I send them it comes up with a 404 error and if i open them they background is blank it doesn\t show the artwork. I have updated my illustrator and I have also tried creating new links.   

Since Retype, just recognizes fonts now, must simply be called Match Font, as it is in Photoshop.

how can i get the outline of text separate from the text?i tried outlinung/ expamding the text nothing is working

why is the stroke not going from outside of the text?

Hello,I’m facing an issue with Adobe Illustrator  the menu bar options stop working frequently, and I have to reset the Illustrator preference settings every time I launch the program. Please help me resolve this issue.Thank you.

Text copied within Illustrator gets pasted outside of Illustrator as an Image or if I try to use that text to name the file, it pastes nothing at all. Example:If I copy any text from Illustrator into the clipboard, when I paste into Word or an Email or Mac Notes, or Text Edit, or to name that illustrator file, ....the text is converted to an image. I can however paste that same copy into the Email Address line or another Adobe product or to name a folder on my desktop. Just a few quick examples. This is a relatively new problem after using it for 25 years. Anyone? Thanks >Robert

Hi, I am trying to modify the dimensions of an artboard per an exercise, but the instructor's options across the top have height and width boxes enabling one to make the adjustments.Height & width are available in menu at top.I only have the x and y dimensions available. If I go into Edit Artboards and change the dimensions, I end up with a strange result. Here is before adjusting size:In Edit Artboard:After clicking "OK":I get a white selection around the shirt, but it seems within a larger whiteboard.How do I get the height/width options in the menu bar at the top, or another work-around to accomplish getting the blue shirt on its own artboard?Thanks in advance.

Has Adobe published a dictionary of the symbols used in Smart Guides? The micro font and symbols used are too small to read or interpet. Thanks 

Since updating my MacBook, my sub-sub menus are grayed out. It doesn't mater which main menu tab I select from, they're all not functioning. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks so much!

I am trying to add type within a shape. Area type removes the appearances of the shape. How can I add type to a shape without removing its fill and stroke?What I am trying to accomplish is to add boxes of text to a timeline. I need the text box to be resizable to reflect the duration of the event, without stretching the text. can anybody suggest a way to accomplish this?

Hello, I want to use an Illustrator File that I exported as an SVG to follow a path, but I have issues with rescaling and finding the correct coordinates as this is not accurate enough.Is there a way to export Illustrator files as an SVG (or another format that I can open as a text file) while keeping the units as millimeter? Thank you for your help.  Best regards,Michael

In version 30 the new projects folder are stored in the cloud. I need to export assets and artboards into the same projects folder but i don't get the option, i can only export locally? 

Every time I save a file as a PDF in Illustrator it automatically opens immediately afterwards in Adobe Acrobat. I can't seem to find out how to turn this off and it's driving me mad. Any help greatly appreciated.

Updated to newest Illustrator. Artboard titles above artboard are annoying me. Didn't really see an option to turn this off. Any help?

bonjour, je n'arrive plus à modifier la casse des textes ,ils sont systématiquement en majuscules lorsque je tape un texte .Quand je selectionne le texte et je vais dans l'onglet TEXTE puis mofifier la casse ....minuscule cela ne change pas.Merci pour votre aide
