Hi allI've recently completed a design for a van wrap that I've sent to my signwriter so he can print and install, but he's software cannot handle the size, the file is 1.9GB after exporting it to pdf.The design, a cherry blossom tree (attached) contains 1000+ individually placed blossoms. Each blossom started as an artist's watercolour sketches, that were scanned at high resolution.  I vectorised each blossom (there were about 10 different blossoms).  I then grouped them and linked them into the illustrator file.  The illustrator file I was working on was over 2GB, it was painful to open, save and close, let alone work with.What was I doing wrong at this point?Anyway, I now need to reduce the file size but maintain is scalability.  The illustrator file is at about 10% of the finished size for each side of the van.(Attached is one side of the van.  The other side is almost identical, just the reverse layout.My systemMacbook ProChip - Apple M1 MaxMemory - 64 GBm

How can I change the raster image settings in Adobe Illustrator after the file has already been created and saved? I used adobe illustrator 30.0 (Latest version).

Hi there, I used to use the eyedropper within the recolour artwork tool to select colours from anywhere on my artboard. Specifically as a textile designer I would need to match new artwork colours to old artwork colours so using the eye dropper tool for this in the recolour tool was the fastest way to change specific colours within my artwork. Adobe have since removed it in version 30.0 and its gone from older versions as well (29.8.2). Please adobe can you bring back the eyedropper within recolour artwork, or suggest a fast way around this.  Thanks

Hallo. Misschien voor vele een makkelijk iets maar ik ben het ff kwijt. Ik heb een aantal kleuren in illustrator waar ik een staal van wil maken. Zodat ik die op meerdere pcs kan installeren. Kan iemand me dat simpwl uitleggen. Ik weet het niet meer helaas. 

I'm hoping that there is a way to hide the bright blue Gen AI button in the toolbar. Just my preference to see it go as the bright blue is very distracting.Thanks

The weirdest error ive encountered but its not just changing the WxH to opposites when rotating. I'm holding down shift to rotate and its not actually rotating to a full 90º.I'm also noticing when i use the shape builder to cut a angle off the rectangle (im making a line at -115º over the rectangle) it also goes from being for example - 12mm high, to having the corner points slightly off and becoming 11.97mm but then if i have another shape itll be now 12.36mm - why is it being so weird with the measurements? I've reset the preferences as well but nothings working

I can't belive I have to ask this question, but… how do I print single-sided from Adobe Illustrator 25.2.3? Every time I print, it prints double-sided. The print dialog doesn't seem to mention a single-sided option. What can I do? Thanks.

Hi! I am new to Illustrator and I am trying to create an put two shapes underneath one another to create a bigger object. However, a very thin white line remains between them, as shown in the image attached. I have tried selecting the two objects and using the Distribute Spacing, with the Space set to 0px and the Align to setting set to "Align to Key Object". However, this didn't change anything. Any idea on what could be causing this problem and how to solve it? Thank you!

Illustrator 29.8.2 (64-bit)OS: WindowsVersion: 11.0Process Architecture: x86_64Built-In Memory: 32482 MB Illustrator has crashed twice in the last 12 hours.  Both times it crashed, the recovery file proved to be absolutely worthless, saving none of the work performed during each four-hour session, which hadn't been manually saved.  Automatic data recovery is set to 30-second intervals, but upon restarting the application after each crash, the recovered files contain none of the work performed since the last manual save.  Upon examination of the file recovered after the second crash this morning, and receiving notification that the crash may have been related to an issue with my graphics hardware, I noticed that all of the data in the layer on which I was working when the application crashed had disappeared, and that the layer heading was replaced with a string of unknown characters, preceded by an icon not known to me (somewhat resembling a monitor).  &nbs

Hi, I'm using the Objects on a Path tool for the first time and I want to be able to delete the shapes that are on the endpoints of my path without it affecting the rest of the shapes or distrubution. I also want to be able to delete the path but keep the shapes in their arrangement. Is this possible? Or is this better to achieve another way? Thank you!  

I've been trying to export a pdf for print and illustrator has decided to put this blue line around the artboard. I can't sent it to print like this because the blue line prints. Can't seem to get rid of it. Please help!

I have seen various posting to include AI which claim there is an Astute Graphics plugin that ships with Illustrator. Trying to confirm bc I am not seeing it in Ai 30.0 Also is there a recommended Astute plugin for non commercial use. The suite is more than I want to spend for my use at home. Windows 11 Thanks

Hi, I am wondering if the feature "variable data" of Illustrator has character limitation? Because I have to replace the variable paragraph for 100+ designs but when I import the data it "The incoming variable library is invalid"...  

I'm having a problem with path alignment. I'm using the Brushstroke, and with several of Illustrator's default brushes, the strokes aren't aligning with the path. I've Restarted Illustrator, Restarted my computer, Update to the latest Illustrator version and Reset Illustrator's preferences, but the problem persists.

I have created an artboard that is 10.875" x 7.375" with .25" bleed. The resulting box should be 11.125" x 7.625"As you can see, the bleed measures .25" but the resulting box is 11.375" x 7.875" meaning .5" has been added

i started having this box opening every time i want to move or copy an object I created. I also lost all my brushes (custom) and all the objects made with them are now impossible to edit. is this normal? i think it started with the latest update. Super frustrating 

I've had real difficulty finding a solution for this one.I have over 300 files which I want convert to png files. This is for a vocabulary quiz program for students.However, I need the files to be a specific width and for the aspect ratio to remain the same, so they load nicely. The Actions option is no use because resizing is recorded as a percentage not a specific size, so files  have larger or smaller dimensions so it'll result in random sizes. Seems there is no other mode, am I wrong? Placing all files in one file on multiple artboards would be just as slow as doing each picture myself, so that's pointless option. Some websites do it but have not done it correctly. Either too blurry, wrong size or the background isn't transparent. Tried Adobe media encoder, but I either have set a specific size or keep the source. They all have different aspect ratios and as I said I want a specific size, so this doesn't help. I baffled why this still isn't a feature,

im using the revolve feature in 3d materials and have created a 3d ball using revolve on a half circle i can place a graphic in the materials onto my sphere but i get no circular bounding guide so i cant move it to where i want too the only things that work are scale and rotation i cant move the graphic up or down 

Hi need some help I'm using the free plugin EAN-13 Barcode Generator by MirecaIs there a way I can change the barcode height?  Can I select the bars and drag them smaller like i did with second barcode, or will this effect the barcode scanning?
