Hello! So I was making a flat landscape little thing here, and I must've clicked something without knowing because this showed up! I can't seem to figure out what it is or what caused it. The little X next to the 3 sided square doesn't do anything either.Thank you!

Is there a way to change which character is being appended when exporting artboards? I can't seem to find anything in the preferences to do this. Currently, AI is automatically adding an underscore + the artboard name. But rather than an underscore I would like to use a dash.As an example, say I have a file named: icons.ai There are a variety of artboards in this file. And currently, when exporting them, they use an underscore: icons_artboard01.pngHowever, I would like them to use a dash instead: icons-artboard01.pngDoes anyone know how do do this? Currently I'm having to change them after the fact by hand, which becomes extremely tedious when you are dealing with a large number of icons.Additional info: Adobe Illustrator CS6, Mac.

Hi! Sometime over the last month, I noticed that when I save a new project for the first time, the file format is defaulted to "ArcGIS - Georeferenced PDF (Beta) (pdf)" instead of the usual "Adobe Illustrator (ai)". This has caused me to lose a lot of time and work because this file type doesn't save layers or anything like that. Can someone please tell me how to change the default back to .ai? MacOS = Sequoia 15.6Illustrator = 29.7.1ArcGIS Maps for Adobe Creative Cloud = 3.9.0 (if this is relevant)

As far as I know I couldn't see any difference in the function between these two Expand option. In my view both are same. Is there any difference? Object > ExpandObject > Blend > Expand    

Bonjour, J'ai détouré mes photos dans Photoshop. Quand je les copie/colle dans Illustrator, la qualité est mauvaise. Et même dans Photoshop, la qualité est mauvaise. Comment est-ce que ça se fait ? Comment faire pour que la qualité ne se détériore pas ? J'ai modifié la résolution des logiciels après. Mais rien y change.  Merci pour votre aide. ClaireMylene

Having so much trouble with this Illustrator update. Crashed, froze, crashed, rebooted, reupdated, couple of hours wasted. I updated again and finally it's working but now every file I open it says the color profile is wrong and wants to change it to RGB. I am working on print jobs and I don't want my color profiles changed, especially to RGB! If you don't accept the change the file won't open. HELP! What can be done to stop this? 

Greetings! I've been looking for solutions in the community for the past months and I can't find anything that solves my problem. While working on Illustrator, my pinch zoom will stop working at random periods and come back minutes or seconds later. I am using the latest version of Illustrator (2023, 27.2), on an MacBook Air M1 2020, which is also running the latest version of MacOS Ventura 13.0.1. Things I've tested: If I simply switch apps, my pinch-to-zoom works on any other software; If I keep trying it eventually works again; Quitting and reopening illustrator doesn't necessarily solve the issue. It kinda does it on its own time. Other trackpad funcions such as dragging with two fingers to pan, work normally all the time. I don't usually mess with settings but the main suggestion on the forums which is to enable GPU Acceleration and so on are all turned on. I also checked to see if any trackpad settings are wrong, but it's all normal. I honestly

I tried to use Photoshop generative Fill and Illustrator Generative Fill recently and after showing the load bar it says that there is a high demand and I have to try later. I had no such a problem before, it worked correctly, but not now. Also, when I enter my account center, it shows the error in showing my plan, while Im on my student plan and Im not under aged (as I said, it was ok about a month ago). Also, I get an error in Adobe Express online.

Can I gather the number of instances of a chosen symbol being used on visible layers?

A designer friend of mine shared a live illustrator file with me on cloud. We've been collaborating on the file perfectly well till last week. Today, I tried to open the same file and CC Desktop app gave me this error. I am lost. What do I do? 

I have designed and installed vehicle graphics before but never actual wraps.  Unlike boxy vans and trucks, sports cards and other vehicles sometimes have a lot of curves.  How do you design a wrap that factors in the curves to meet up, like maybe when it comes to the front fenders to smoothly meet up with the hood and the doors?  Are there plugins for something like this or maybe a separate program all together that some how works this stuff together into printable files?

Please enable or create an easy way to permanently set default font in illustrator

Illustrator can recognize a lot of special characters, even soft returns (^n), but it cannot recognize hard returns in the search/replace fields.  I can do this type of search/replace in other Adobe Apps, but not Illustrator.  Its typically (^p) in other apps.  This would be super helpful for us and seems like an oversight)  Hopefully an easy fix. 

Hi, the quick command in Illustrator for text kerning doesnt work anymore. Anyone knows how to fix it? 

Usually Object-->Blend -->Make's one new image in between two already exisiting images but in my case it makes many. What is the reason?   

I downloaded an SVG image of an ear from Canva and opened it in Illustrator to place it inside a box. However, after exporting the edited file as an SVG again, some parts of the image are getting cropped.

Yesterday while working on an illustrator project (that i have been working for the past weeks) suddendly the fonts started to change appearence and I notice it wasn't recognizing anymore fonts that i have synced previously. I went to adobefonts browser to check if fonts where synced or not and the issue is that some how it unsynced some of the fonts without my command, and also a lot of the fonts that remained synced were not reflected into the illustrator. So I have to unsynced it online (on the browser) and synced again and sometimes this fixes the issue. Other not. To worst things the missing fonts (previously synced from adobe fonts) do not appear highlighted or warning that they are missing, so I only notice if i know the font real aesthetics and see that they changed. Or have to click it and see the small dot on the character table symbolizing that is missing. Has anyone experience this? Any suggestion on how to fix it? 

Hello, we are using Summa S-Class 2 T and for it we had an Illustrator plugin which added OPOS Registration Marks. We used it on MAC and now we have moved to Windows computer, so we cannot use the old plugin we had. The main problem is that the workplace which needs it is using a CS6 version of Illustrator. My question is, if it is possible to find a plugin that adds these marks for CS6 version? I could not find any on the internet. I will be happy for any information.

2 дня не могу сохранить файли в иллюстраторе, зависает при сохраниние и вылетает. Пробовала переустановить программу, очистить кеш, откат настроек, пересохранять файли в другие папки и другими форматами -  ничего не помогло. Решила попробовать загрузить старее версию, но при загрузке начало выдавать сбой и проблему медленного соединения. Что делать? смысл програми еси не могу сохранить ничего) предпологаю что в сбой в самой программе или в его обновлении.
