Hello, I’m having issues exporting some specific files from a catalog in Lightroom Classic.I’ve since upgraded to the latest version and the issue persists. The export hangs and never finishes. (Maybe related: if i try to create virtual copies on any of those files i get an internal error)Extra details: The original file is jpg. It is on an external ssd drive.Other files from same storage / folder work just fine. What i’ve tried:Upgraded to latest version of Lightroom.Disabled GPU.Disabled plugins.Test Catalog integrity.Reset all edits to the file.Cleared Cache (hope i did this correctly)Tried to export to different format (didn’t work)Tried to export to other locations (didn’t work - not a permission issue)If i copied the original file to a different folder and imported that folder in the same catalog the export worked, but this is not a scalable solution.
I Got error message "We've encountered an issue and cant complete your request at this time. Please try again." but this problem has been going on for more than a day.I was checked my cloud status and the status is always “trying to connect with server” I've followed all the advice on this forum, including disabling Windows protection and antivirus, changing my Wi-Fi connection, and even reinstalling the app, but the problem still exists.please help me 😭
Running LrC catalog from USB drive (Samsung P9 1TB) where I have all images and the catalogue file (latest version as of today). The anytime the crowd strike fancon scan triggers LrC will freeze with error saying there has been issue accessing the catalogue file. This makes LrC completely unusable.
Hello everybody,Currently I plan to update my MacBook and would like to get some recommendations / feedback from you. My current setup is 15-Inch MacBook Pro (2017) with 2,9 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 (Radeon Pro 560 4GB) with 16GB Memory & 512GB SSD, macOS Ventura 13.7.8. Main camera is a Canon 5D Mark IV (30 Mega Pixel 6720x4480).I run Lightroom Classic 14.5.2 and Photoshop 27.3.0 and Apple Photos. Currently I consider the 14-Inch MacBook Pro with 1TG SSD in these options:M5 Chip with 10‑Core CPU, 10‑Core GPU, 16-Core Neural Engine and 32GB MemoryM4 Pro Chip with 12‑Core CPU, 16-Core GPU, 16-Core Neural Engine and 24GB MemoryBoth options would cost 2.549 Euros Potential updates for the M4 Pro Chip version:From 12 to 14-Core CPU, from 16 to 20‑Core GPU, 16-Core Neural Engine would be additional 250 Euro (Number of Core CPU + 16% / Number of Core GPU + 25%)From 24GB to 48GB would be additional 500 Euros My questions would be:Is it better to spend the money on a faster processor (P
I've just taken out a Lightroom subscription. The version of LR Classic available is 14.0.1 which I have installed and migrating my old Lightroom 6 catalog fails:Any suggestions?
I am using a Hasselblad X1D II camera with a Hasselblad 35-100E lens. I find that although in filter Lightroom Classic can detect that the images are captured by XCD 35-100E lens, in lens correction tab in edit, when set to default or auto, it will result in no profile and can’t automatically find profile. However there is a Hasselblad XCD 35-100E profile in the list. I need to manually select it and sync across my photos. I’ve tested this behavior in Lightroom Classic 15.1.1 on Windows 11 x64 24H2.
Have been using LRC for more than a year with the same laptop system running on Win Home 11 (25H2). After update version to 15.1.1 in Jan 2026, constantly experienced system crashed after opening LRC.Tried to disable the GPU processor and update the NVIDIA driver to the latest version, even reinstalled LRC again, unable to resolve this issue. Noticed, working on LRC after each reboot, it becomes lethargic and ultimately crashed out. A search from the internet, found someone having the same exact issue, managed to stabilize the program by reverting back to LRC 15.0.1I’ve no choice but to give a try by uninstalling the 15.1.1 version and reinstalled back 15.0.1, will monitor the condition. Do hope this issue can be resolved as soon as possible, it really a nightmare with no confident in using the software.
Here is a screen shot of my Catalog under pictures: Please help, Thanks, Dale
The lens profile is available for manual selection in the list of profiles, but the tools cannot automatically assign it, unlike with other lenses when selecting "Enable Profile Correction." [moved from bugs to discussions according to the community rules - Mod.]
The new forum has its own quirks for including photos in posts. Some tips based on what I’ve learned so far: If you want your readers to see a screenshot or the result of some LR action, use the Insert Image button to include the image inline with your text:If it’s important to include an original photo file, e.g. to troubleshot a LR problem with that photo, use the paper-clip Upload Files button to attach the file to your post:I’ve been able to attach raw files, text files, and .zip files, as long as they’re under 50 MB (contrary to the error message that says the limit is 5 MB). However, if you try to attach an original JPEG, the forum will always convert it to Webp format, defeating the purpose of attaching the original JPEG. To work around this forum bug, use Mac Finder or Windows File Explorer to compress the file to a .zip and attach the .zip. If your file is bigger than 50 MB or the forum fails to attach it for some other reason, upload it to Wetransfer, Dropbox, Google Drive
Siehe oben. Das Entrauschen dauert seit einigen Tagen inakzeptabel lang. Am Rechner wurde nichts geändert. Nach den Auftreten des Fehlers wurde der Treiber aktualisiert, was keine Hilfe brachte.
I am now having a doubt (shame on me, an expert user that doens’t know this) The question:Is it faster to import form “Source > Device” or “Source > Files”?What is the best choice?P.s.In my defence I didn’t know that whatever you type first before posting now becomes your title and you can’t edit it.I look like a total analphabet.
Hey Gang,Forever, I've been using a LR plugin from Capture Monkey that would read the QR code in an image, then rename following photos using the data in that QR code. This made volume photography a breeze. The plugin is no longer being developed, so I'm searching for a replacement... There is a TON of intrest in a product like this if someone wants to develop a plugin. Anybody know of any alternate solutions? Rob
When importing Leica M11 DNG files using Adobe Default (as shown in the Preferences / Presets -- Global setting) Adobe Standard is applied as the Profile instead of Adobe Color. When I create and specify a Preset which specifically uses Adobe Color as the Profile, Adobe Standard is still applied. If I specify to use Camera Setting, then the embedded M11 profile is correctly applied. As a work-around, I can indeed force the Adobe Color profile to be applied if I specify it as the Apply During Import - Development Setting (right-hand panel when importing) and select under the Defaults presets - Adobe Color + Lens or similar.
ince upgrading to Lightroom Classic 15.x (currently tested up to 15.1.1), I’m experiencing severe performance degradation in the Develop module, specifically when switching between photos.Symptoms: 0.5–2 seconds freeze when moving from one image to another in Develop Happens even with previews already built Occurs regardless of GPU acceleration being ON or OFF More noticeable when photos contain AI masks (Subject, Sky, People, etc.) Important details: This does not happen (or happens far less) in earlier versions Hardware is more than sufficient (Ryzen 7 5700X, RTX GPU, 48GB RAM) RAW files are ~24MP Catalog stored on SSD Tests already done: GPU completely disabled → no improvement GPU enabled only for display → no improvement All previews generated → no improvement Downgrade → only ~20% improvement This strongly suggests a regression in the Develop pipeline, likely related to AI mask re-evaluation when switching images. There are multiple reports from other users desc
Please help.Lightroom takes and age to open, or doesn't open and gets stuck on the start up and won't get further than the start up screen, if I'm lucky enough to get to editing, when I choose and work with masks, more often than not LR crashes and freezes the whole computer giving me no choice but to hold down the power button to reset the entire laptop. I have an ASUS pro art p16, AMD Ryzen AI9HX, 2 TB drive with 933GB used, 32GB Ram 8GB dedicated graphics and the card is an Nvidia GTX4070, Its about 6 months old. Windows 11. I have a download speed of 15.4MB/s, i have no idea if this is enough. My lightroom is up to date, the latest version, catalogue has 1200 photo's in it. Anybody got any ideas why its not working for me. Its getting depressing as I would like to actually do some editing, I switched computers as my old HP omen was getting slow but having recently booted that back up again it has over 1800 photos on it and is lower spec'd than my ASU
Following the instructions below, I can not initiate a batch process for Super Resolution”: Batch Super Resolution in Lightroom Classic 15.1.1The key rule (important)You must apply Super Resolution from the Detail panel with multiple images selected. Lightroom will then queue and process them sequentially.Step-by-step (works reliably)1️⃣ Select multiple images Go to Library or Develop Select multiple photos: Shift = range Cmd = individual picks Best results with RAW files 2️⃣ Switch to Develop With all images still selected Make sure one image is active (lighter highlight) 4️⃣ Enable Super Resolution Tick Super Resolution Leave Raw Details unchecked unless needed Click Enhance At the final step only one image is processed.
First I will describe my normal workflow which has worked correctly for many years in previous versions of LR classic; then I will describe what has happened in 15.0 and in 15.1.1Previous workflow: Record GPS track log with my sports watch (Coros Apex) while taking photos. Sometimes two or three track logs are recorded on one day. in LR classic, Select all images taken that day load a track log to the map module of LR classic Auto-tag selected photos The photos will be correctly distributed along the track log according to the capture time. Photos that are not within the time of that track log will not be GPS tagged. load another track log from later that day and repeat the process. Images taken later in the day will be correctly tagged to the second track log. What happened in LR classic 15.0 and also after I updated to 15.1.1:All the photos taken that day were tagged to the beginning of the track log, including some photos which were taken later in the day and should not have been
Lightroom Classic allows quite some opportunities to search in your photolibrary but does not allow a search oin filesize yet. Especially for optimizing your library it makes sense to delete or replace big files. Big files may be produced when making panarama's in .tiff format, or when using Photoshop to improve images. Files of more than one or two Gigabyte may be produced that way. When search for (too) big files would be enabled in Lightroom itself (instead of using plugins to get to that point) it would be much easier to keep your library small and efficient. Big Tiff files can best be exported as DNG without loosing quality really but will be reduced to 25% of less in size. So, I think Adobe would help it's customers to keep Lightroom work optimally by adding Filesize to the search menu in the library. Also a warning for much large files somewhere in the settings the might be an idea.
