Questions

I have 2 questions here.1.  Can you import, edit, and export images ... all from and then back to ... the same hard drive?2.  Seeing as there are 2 "Import" buttons, are there advantages/disadvanteges to using only the "Import"         button seen at the bottom righthand corner, under that panel.   TY LrC 14.5.1Windows 11   

Hello!  Today i have a problem. When i try edit photos on lightroom classic develop mode, everywhere when i clicking apper window with "Copy settings" I tried to resolve this problem with all ideas from internet, i tried old version of lightroom, new catalog, hotkeys, i disconect keyboard, mouse etc etc and nothing work! I tried even if shortcut (CTRL+SHIFT+C) work but this shortcut DONT work ... What can be? Window from this shortcut apear only when i click anywhere on develop mode (1-2-3 clicks, depend) Please, i need help fast! Thanks a lot!

I have hundreds of files I have tagged with reject. When I execute cmd+del, the files disappear from the lightroom display. But when I import from the same folder(s), the files are still there, and are imported as new versions (with -1, -2, ... appended to file names). These are not virtual copies (each are ~35mb). The behavior is what I would expect if I selected the "remove from lightroom" option.Using Find Any File, the original file (without the -n appendage to the file name) cannot be found, but the  -n files are all listed in Finder.Deleting PSD files works as expected.The word-around for this issue in an earlier post suggests using Finder. I am able to delete the files with Finder, but given that I need to delete 100s of files located in several folders, that solution is not practical.My OS is 10.5, Lightroom Classic, version 14.5.1. I can't sync my photos from Lightroom Classic installed on Win 10 PC to newly installed Lightroom Mobile. Whenever I upload photos to synced album in LrC it gets cleared on both devices, only an empty folder remains in both apps. Please show me how to solve this issue.

Can anybody help me to open LrC? I've tried several ways (from HD and ACC) but It seems like a photofile is corrupting  the task. I've tried to remove this particular file from the folder, but nope. The file next to could be removed. When I keep the cursor on the files, it says "syncronation  awaiting"I have Win 11, LrC version 14.5.1BRHelge , DK

I have a new reformated SSD on which I have labouriously edited and rearranged my stock of photos into folders which group the photos into groupps and sub groups which are meanigful in the context of the photo locations etc. All the folders are grouped under a single "master folder" which is the only folder in the root of the drive. All good! The photos are a mix of CR2, tif, jpeg, psd, and mov. There are approximately 23000 and take a fraction over 1TB of drive space.Now the question! I want to introduce these the Lightroom as I have done in the past with no trouble. However this time I am baffled or I am completely insane.1) I select the file option "Import photo & video"2)I am offered all the drives  on my PC as sources including the one I want. The file count confirms there are 24000. According to dng_validate, the value of DefaultBlackRender is "Long = 1". However, LightRoom, including DNG Profile Editor, doesn't honour this tag and render as DefaultBlackRender = 0, resulting in darker tones. I'm having a problem with Lightroom Classic. I suddenly don't see the editing section anymore. Only the library. I've tried everything: restarting, starting with Shift and Option held down (MacOS).  Can somebody help me?

I have read where you can right click on the development panels in the customize develop panel box to rearrange the development panel order. Well not on my version which is current. When I right click I get the Ø symbol and nothing changes. Any ideas whats going on.

I had corrupted macOS so need to redownload High Sierra wiping all applications and data, I have a legacy iMac 27inch (mid 2010). I have tried to contact Adobe via Live chat however no luck and they could only provided me with Lightroom Classic version 12 which is compatible with my macOS. Does anyone still have Lightroom Classic v9 - v9.4 on their system and can provide a copy to .dmg file or does anyone know where I can find a direct link to download Lightroom Classic v9 - v9.4? Desparate for help here! Last April I formatted an external drive to use as a scratch disk for Photoshop. Two days later I opened my Catalog in Lightroom to work on some photos. I navigated to the photo but, when I went to go from Library to Develop I received a message saying the photo couldn't be found. I then noticed "?" by all my photos! Even though my Catalog with all my thumbnails, virtual copies, previews, etc.was totally accessible, my originals were gone. I realized I had inadvertently formatted my drive with all my photos on it!!! I was devastated but, at least I still had an intact Catalog of everything. Then Lightroom had a new update and luckily I took Adobe's recommendation and had it create a zip file of the existing catalog prior to update. I moved the zip file to a safe location and updated the Catalog. HiI have LR 14.2 and went back to 14.1.1, but still both versions do not show Loupe Info in Develop Module. Yes, I have done the Show Info Overlay thing, I have restarted LR several times, even my computer. I'm having issues importing a few images. I'm in the process of moving my images to an external drive, and while I'm at it, I'm making sure lightroom matches my 'pictures' folder. I have found some images that are in a folder but not in my Lightroom catalogue. I'm not certain if they were there at some stage but aren't any longer or if they were never there. So I moved these files to a folder I use to import from and tried to import them. However, when I did, there were no images found in the folder to import. I made sure the images were in the correct folder, and they were. I moved them to another folder and tried to import them from there. Same result. I tried adding a fresh image to the folder from my camera. Sure enough, it appeared as usual, but not the other images in the same folder.They are not greyed out as happens with images I already have imported. I tried searching for the file name in case they were elsewhere in my catalogue, but they didn't come up. I tried renaming

The info overlay is missing for a few days now in Library and develop mode. I've updated my Mac and Adobe apps so I'm not sure where the problem lies (LR 14.5 and MAcOS Sequoia 15.6.1 ).I've searched the internet and can not find a sollution and the j and i keys do not fix the problem.Even after I deleted and reinstalled LR the problem still isn't gone, and now I cant't even see the file name in the grid. Also I can not right click to send photo's tp Photoshop. It would be very nice to have sollutions to fix both of these problems. Thank you so much if you can provide solutions. Judith

Hi Guys, On my desktop (W11) I have installed Lightroom.On my newly bought laptop (W11) I also installed Lightroom.We save and edit all our photos on the laptop.I want to edit the photos als on my desktop. In my opinion the solution msut be a seperate SSD with enough room for years to come. Which steps should I follow to so this transfer successfully? If possibel answers in Dutch please. KInd regards,   Willem

When I import photos into Lightroom, some of the images show up blank.

I use two monitors - my main monitor for loupe/develop, and second monitor for grid. In loupe I can click through my folders and the second monitor shows the images of that folder in a grid (as it should). However if I click 'all photographs' in the Catalog tab the two monitors switch, showing grid on the main and loupe on second! Is there any way to lock the second monitor to grid, so it is always, always grid! 😄

Version of the app: LrC 14.5.1   Platform and OS version: Windows 11 24H2 x64   Basic steps to reproduce the problem: When using the AI denoise sometimes it does not apply or does not consider the already done desonise. It got to the point where I was not able to tell if denoise was actually applied without manual one-by-one inspection of each picture. From what I understood it seems to happen if I apply ai denoise on some pictures, then if i synchronize the settings with the ai denoise aswell including both already denoised and non denoised pictures. It already starts wrong since if the selected pictures has a different denoise strenght applied it does recompute the ai denose from scratch instead of just synching the value but it looks like sometimes it does recompute it but also does not apply it even if it looks checked on the develop panel. Moving the slider manually or setting the value sometimes fixed it but most of time it didn't and sometimes the slider did not move a

This is a former issue. As professional photographers we need to create several versions for our images and be able to see them between our catalog.  The problem is that the export is so fast, but the adding of the now new images is a dread. It makes impossible to operate lightroom until the process is done.  Imagine waiting 3 secs per image after a wedding export with 1000 images.  That's 3000 seconds,  50 MIN...   It brings the whole efficiency to halt.  please help this a problem that had been reported before but adobe doens't seem to offer a solution.   

I just updated to LR Classic 12.2 and now my panoramic output is terrible, blown out skies, color all over the place, file looks almost corrupted, I have never seen this before. This was from DNG files from a usual camera on a new MacBook Pro 16" with the M2Max processor, 96GB of ram running Ventura 13.2.1.  Even if I pre-process the files to jpeg and then try to stitch, it just looks terrible like the color / tone match algorithm is out of whack. 

I have the latest version of lightroom classic on my Mac mini with the latest version of Tahoe 26. If I export a .MOV file it plays just fine, but when I'm in the Library section movies will not play. Also, the tool bar at the top is acting weird. Hi.  I am very confused as to what is happening with Lightroom.  I'm not getting any help from Adobe 'Chat' I just received an email stating any content on the cloud would be deleted in 14 days unless I purchase a plan including cloud storage.First question is - how do I know what is stored on the cloud?  I don't remember putting anything on the cloud.Secondly, I already have a plan that includes cloud storage. - and I pay a monthly subscription, so not expired as far as I know. (Photography Plan with 20GB storage). I have searched my emails and can't find anything explaining all this. I'm not technical - can I please just have some simple answers as to what might be happening, and what I need to do?    Thank you

I can't seem to get my files sorted by filename. For example, I have 100 photos named MAY_1000.NEF through MAY_1100.NEF. For a select few, I run the files through Topaz Denoise, which renames that group MAY_1035-Edit.JPG, etc. When I try to sort the files by name, Lightroom puts the "edit" group at the end of the original files, instead of  adjacent to them. Shouldn't LR sort them like: MAY_1034.NEF, MAY_1035.NEF, MAY_1035-Edit.JPG, MAY_1036.NEF....? In other words, I'd like to sort by the first 8 characters rather than the randomized sort the LR currently does. Thanks,Jeff Hall - North Carolina

MyiMac crashed and I erase eerything so now its like new- I download LrC and open my airport capsule time machine and tried to open it and I got this message: "You can't open the application"Adobe Lightroom Classic" because it is in a Time Machine backup." Anyone has any odea why wont it open? I know its in a Time Machine thats the idea of the Time Machine so I can go an opne it anytime I need it.
