It only crashes when connected to internet (startup with wifi off is fine). Tried reboot. Tried shutting off firewall and virus sw. If I turn on internet after a successful start, if crashes within 4 seconds (I think it’s when it tries to turn on sync). How do I fix this? Lightroom seems to work fine. Auto updates is on and Photoshop CC appears to be up to date. 

As an IT-Supporter it is a nightmare to simply just deploy the Adobe Suite without the ability for the user to upgrade everything and create a version-mismatch on several adobe products. Now that we have finally decided to delve into Photoshop 2026 it has come to multiple users and my attention that the remove tool as well as some, if not all other “AI-Features” are completely unusable and won’t install no matter what.Apparently it does not make a difference if Creative Cloud can recognize Adobe 2026 being installed or not but it also seems that some Creative Cloud Licensed users can not see Photoshop installed on Creative Cloud, yet Photoshop works fine with License and everything but the “AI-Features” seems to work fine.Upon reading that this is an ongoing issue for several months now I am considering going back to 2025 for Photoshop just to be absolutely certain that this new and improved version does not ruin any more features outside of the AI-Required features.

I sent this as a bug report and Jeff Arola, Community Expert, suggested that I also post this to the Photoshop forum, so I hope I’m in the right place! After updating to Photoshop 27.9.1, the Options bar across the top of the UI no longer works. If I create a gradient, if I make any changes to it via the Options bar, nothing happens. I can’t change Gradient presets, change the the type of gradient (linear, radial, etc), Reverse, or method. These all work in the Properties panel, however, and I have to change them from there. Steps to repeat this bug:Apply a gradient Go to the Options bar at the top of the page with the gradient layer selected and make a change to the gradient or click reverse. Nothing happens. Swapping colors also does not work. Expected Result: Gradient will change by changing settings in the Options bar.Actual Result: The options change in the options bar but nothing happens to the gradient.My computer: Mac Studio 2023, Apple M2 Max, running Tahoe 26.6.2Installed Ver

Whenever I try to open Photoshop, it opens, then immediately closes. Just before closing, I get the prompt to either send or don’t send a report (I typically do send it). This happens EVERY time I try using Photoshop, so I’m dead in the water now. Nothing else on my system (Windows 11) has changed, and I have no issues with other applications.

 im in a huge panic and really need help. I hopped on photoshop today to find every single one of my creative cloud files GONE, including a uni assessment due very soon. Im freaking out. i have looked through the deleted files section of the creative cloud app, nothing, i have looked for multiple creative cloud file folders, still nothing. Its like the files never even existed. I did a disk cleanup a few days ago for an unrelated issue, but to try and remedy any loss that couldve occured, i ran a complete hard drive search using disk drill, which still came up with nothing. Its as if these files never even existed? and if the issue was on my end and i deleted the files somehow accidentally, firstly how are they not on the cloud when it is listed as cloud storage, and secondly, they shouldve appeared in my disk drill intensive search. i am on the brink of a meltdown because of this, please please help i am at a loss of what to do. Im running windows 10, and using cc

After the last update 27.4, Photoshop freezes when trying to change the size or hardness of the brush. It only helped to switch back to the previous version 27.3.1 There are no errors when the program freezes, and if you minimize the application and expand it, it will restore. But the brush settings won't change, and if you try to change them again, Photoshop freezes again.

There’s a new feature for the Remove Tool in PS 27.7.0, which allows for a local AI model that can be used “offline” and doesn’t require credits. It’s described here:  I meet the hardware and software requirements. Tried downloading this component / addon multiple times since yesterday, in PS and in CC App, but after 30-60 minutes the download always interrupts at 48% and it gives the error message “unable to extract files” and “error: code 127”. CC App lacks the basic function of resumable downloads, it always starts from the beginning. I have 630GB of free space, btw, so that’s not the issue. I did all the AI chat suggestions like deleting the Adobe temp folder contents on my root drive, giving full permissions for the folder, adding an exclusion for the folder in Windows 11 defender - none of that helped. Wasted a full hour in the chat with a human (?) or “human” agent that did not understand what the issue is, giving me completely irrelevant suggestions like “this feature does not

I have paid for subscription of Photoshop and it worked wonderfully in my Desktop PC however I am having problems with installing same photoshop in my Other pc when I should be able to install it in at least 2 pc. all the requirements are fulfilled but still it shows error code 190. I have tried to speak to customer service as well but they seems to stop responding after listening to the problem how should I proceed.

When I am using Adobe Photoshop on the web, the color wheel is always off screen with no way to center it. This makes choosing anything from the right side of the color wheel impossible. Ive tried minimizing my screen or dragging it, but its locked in one fixed part of the screen and wont move. The first color circle is cut off slightly, making easier to navigate but the second circle is always cut off. As you can see I can only access cool colors, the rest cant even be scrolled to. PLEASE, fix this issue. I love the web version of Adobe for its quickness, but this is kinda killing the need to use it. It isnt just with Duotone but basically any effect where you can change the color of the effect.  

I clicked the mask thumbnail, checked whether the colour is set to real black but the brush does not erases the parts of the embedded image anylonger.Any clue how to fix this? I used it earlier this morning without problems however all of a sudden this issue appeared… problem solved 😉

Hello,I am experiencing a serious issue in Photoshop that makes normal work almost impossible.Description of the problemWhen I use the Spacebar to temporarily activate the Hand Tool and move the canvas, Photoshop appears to record the mouse movement. After I release the spacebar and click with any tool (Brush, Lasso, Selection tools, etc.), Photoshop repeats the exact trajectory of the mouse movement that occurred while the spacebar was held.For example: I hold the Spacebar to pan the canvas. I move the canvas with the mouse. I release the Spacebar. I click with another tool. Instead of performing a normal action, Photoshop recreates the exact path of the mouse movement made during the canvas pan.The issue occurs with all tools, not only with the Brush tool.Important details The problem happens only after using the Spacebar (Hand Tool). My action works once then states when I use it second time the command select is not currently available, all previous actions disppeared , trying to create the same way I’ve been doing it for 10 yrs doesn’t work ???If I close PS then reopen the action works once , then if I click the action again on a different image the command select is not currently available 

Photoshop 2026 will not open.  It starts to boot but then just disappears/crashes.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times.  I have tried starting and holding ctrl/alt/shift.  I have tried closing all the adobe related programs in Task Manager.  This is infuriating while trying to work with clients.   Can anybody shine any light on this for me?

I’m always looking for ways to make my Photoshop workflow faster. What shortcut do you use the most?

I’m extremely frustrated with Adobe Photoshop’s generative AI. I’ve been trying to use it to remove tattoos from a model’s photos, but I keep running into limitations because of some vague “guidelines.” I paid for Photoshop specifically for generative fill, yet I can’t use it the way I need to for my work.I’ve spent hours trying to figure it out, and the support team just pointed me to the guidelines that restrict me from editing my images how I want. This isn’t what I signed up for. If I can’t use the tools I paid for freely, then what’s the point?Considering requesting a refund—this is not the product I was promised.Has anyone else run into these restrictions? How did you deal with it? im pretty mad and almost wanna never have to deal with adobe again because of this.

The following issue is most likely caused by a user error (aka Me), but for the life of me I cannot figure out what action I am performing to cause the subject error.  At some point small random square anomalies appear in all my edited images and such are saved with the file upon performing export operations.  See the attached edited image and zoom into the sky to see such anomalies for examples, with anomalies existing in other areas as well.  Any thoughts on what is causing these anomalies and how to resolve this issue?  Thanks ahead of time for your response.

So, apparently Adobe has begun adding metadata to images that says they were made with AI (or at the very least, that AI was used) if you used Gen Fill at all. I realized this because some websites, such as Instagram, have begun automatically labeling any images I had used Gen Fill on as "Made with AI" based on the metadata Photoshop had added, without the option for me to remove the label.I use Gen Fill to expand backgrounds a bit when I need to change the aspect ratio of an image (4x5 from a 2x3 for Instagram), or to more quickly and easily remove an unwanted object or blemish in photo I took and spent a lot of time and effort taking. I don't use it to create entirely made-up backgrounds or people. If I'd known my long hours setting up photo shoots, purchasing supplies, props, and more would all be given the label of "Made with AI" making my clients and other people think I'm just generating my photography, I would never have used Gen Fill in the first place. To me it's just bee

I have a problem with the export option in Photoshop. When I try to click the export button like I always do, I can't reach it because it's hidden at the bottom of the screen. I also tried hiding the Windows taskbar, but it didn't work. 

Since the update to v. 27.9.1 my gradients are all different. I know you can access the legacy gradients (Adobe hides classic and older preset libraries by default. To get them back, open the standalone Gradients panel via Window > Gradients, click the panel's fly-out menu (the four horizontal lines icon) but only a few of the many legacy gradients load. Is there anyplace online where I can download the complete legacy gradients from the version just before this current update?Thanks for your help.

I keep getting this error: "Catch in IPhotoshopApplication, exception encountered: Failed to create enviroment config: photoshop_exception"  I do not know how to fix it ive tried to reinstall it as well as my video card driver and nothing seems to work for me. Any suggestions are welcome

Hello. As soon as I open photoshop, version37.9.1, even without opening a particular photo, the following message is displayed: "A required view could not be created, because the definition file is missing or corrupted". What to do? Merci.

I can open the filter gallery and see the image but there is no preview of the filter. And the filter doesn't apply when I click ok.  This is the case with any image, all RGB, 8 bit. What am missing? Thanks!

My tools not working correctly.  The lasso tool, when clicked, displays straight lines  all over the photo.  The spot healing tool does not work at all.  Many of my actions not working properly either. Its very hard editing when most tools and actions not working. I have tried suggested resets, nothing changes.  I have done al I could find to try short of uninstalling and reinstalling which I prefer not to do.Thanks for any help.  Debbie

This is a screenshot of the circle I'm referring to. It was changing over time, sort of pulsating. The screenshot is of a portion of the screen showing my browser window. This blue circle stayed in front of any screen I switched to, until I switched to Photoshop. Then it disappears. That leads me to believe it's Adobe software doing it. I'm using a 16" M4 Macbook Pro. Searching the internet for explanations I see other Adobe products are implicated in this same issue.What is the animated icon meant to represent? How can I prevent it in the future? I really don't know what I did to have triggered it. Hovering over it and clicking it did nothing. So it's a useless feature. Worse than that, it's an annoyance, since it encumberts other applications.

This needs a little context, I apologise in advance. I've been using Photoshop without issue since I upgraded my PC in February, but about 2 weeks ago, Creative Cloud changed my default install location from my D: drive to my C: drive, and when I went to launch the program, it re-installed Photoshop on my C: drive instead, wiping everything I had on my D: drive (brushes, presets, plugins, preferences, etc). There was no option to restore what had been overwritten, so I uninstalled from my C: drive and reinstalled it back to my D: drive.Ever since, I have been having HORRIBLE stuttering/freezing/lagging, particularly when I zoom in/out or while I'm painting with a brush. I've never had this happen before, even before I upgraded my PC. As this is a fresh install, I have no idea what could be causing this? I do notice in scratch disks, it still lists the C: drive as the startup drive. Could this be contributing to the issue?PC specs: Windows 11, 32GB RAM (sits at ~70% usage with all my pr
